Introduction
Seventeen years ago, a bright light flashed across the sky, leaving scientists wondering and humans stunned. The vampiric scholars knew exactly what happened and immediately began searching for the source of light. Sets of twins had been born all over the world and they each held a power, their element was opposite of their twins. The vampires were searching to destroy these twins and this is where the story begins....
An old man has called together the now seventeen year old twins, searching high and low for them. Some twins have been seperated through the years and others don't know of their powers. The man was a prophet and was able to get them all together to train and help them run from the sadistic vampires that were searching for their heads. They will train with the man and eventually be forced to leave. The roleplay will start at the old man's cabin with the group being assembled, the man had to lie to most of them to get them there.
If a character's race has a certain power like a witch's magic, it won't be very strong unless their element is used with it. This can cause them to either be feared or ridiculed by the rest of their type.

"No 'buts', Addy. You know we have to go to the meeting. Why don't you use the time to actually try talking to Chantelle for once?" Their mother was always trying to force them to be closer, but it was futile. The two would never get along. Chantelle was the perfect demon child. She had the dark look, the black shadows and the midnight colored wings. Adelina was an abomination with her prismatic hair that could split white light into rainbow colors. Her mother waved and her father kissed Chantelle on the head. To them, Adelina was just an annoying white shadow in the corner they never seemed to notice unless they needed to yell at something. In their eyes, all she did was ask for money. The twins' parents left and Adelina went up to her room which was furnished in luxuriant whites. She put on some cute clothes and walked out the door, sparing her twin a quick glance.
"Going to a vampire party," she explained, not caring how forbidden it was. They threw the best parties and as long as she kept the fact that she was an element twin, she was safe. The second she was out the door, though, a man had his arm wrapped around her neck. He lightly poked a few pressure points and Adelina's vision went dark.
-----------
Adelina blinked her eyes to find herself staring up at a wooden ceiling. The boards were mishapen from what she assumed was water damage, but she didn't know anything about that. Rubbing her head, she sat up to stare around at the area. There were seven other beds in the room, each old and creaky and holding a teen of their own. A man was sitting at a desk and upon seeing that Adelina was awake, he looked from whatever it was that he was writing.
"Good morning, Adelina," he said in a creaking voice, putting the pen down. His finger tips rested against each other as he took her in. She found herself in the clothes she had been wearing for the party, and she was very confused.
"What is going on?" she asked, her voice rising a few pitches. "Who are you and why did you kidnap me?"
"Oh. my light child. All will be revealed once the others wake up, but it shouldn't be too long now." He looked over the said others who seemed to be stirring as if they would be waking up soon.

Upon hearing a scuffle outside, Chantelle opened the door to find her sister slumped against some crippled old man. "What's going on?" She cried, reaching for her cell phone, but before she knew it she was blacking out. The man hadn't even moved, but he had some sort of power to cause people to go unconcious.
Chantelle scratched her head, having a headache as she woke up in a mysterious place. From the looks of where she was, she was in a run-down shack. "What's going on?" she mumbled, looking around. She heard the man's reply to Adelina and realized there were others in the room. She brought her blanket up to her chin and partially hid. She was getting scared.

"Um.. excuse me.." he said timidly as he walked over toward the girl and old man. "Just what is going on here?? How did I get here, and why do I have amnesia?" he scratched his light green hair. "And what is my brother doing here too..."

Moments later, he was heading back to camp, the rabbit, now dead, clenched in his hand. The smoke from the fire was still going strong when he walked through the brush to the clearing where he and his sister had made camp the night before. Kaiser was about to call out to Suki, when he saw his smaller sister was still asleep.
A smile crept it's way to his face, hidden by his mask. He dropped the rabbit down by the fire, and walked over to his sister. He placed a gentle hand on her, giving a small shake.
"Sister. Suki, it's time to get up." ,Kaiser spoke, his damaged voicebox making it sound growly and harsh. WHen she seemed like she was stirring, he stood up, and turned his attention back to the fire.
A snap was the first thing that alerted him to trouble. Kaiser froze for a second, before reaching out and calling his staff to his hand, whirling around to see the danger, poised to attack.
Kaiser was in awe. Someone had snuck up on them, and that someone was looming over his sister. HE raced forward to stop the intruder, his staff held high over his head. Before he could reach it, Kaiser felt his strength draining, his conciousness slipping. He pitched forward, face in the dirt. The last thing he saw was his sister, still lying on the ground, the figure over her....
-----------------------------
Kaiser awoke with a start, the cot under him creaking loudly. He couldn't make heads or tails of where he was, or why. He scrambled around, checking that everything was as it should be. Mask? On his face. Staff? There, by his hand. Suki? When he could not see her immediatly, he leapt out of the bed, panic rising through his mind. But he didn't get more than a few feet before he saw her, lying in a bed, right next to his own. He breathed a sigh of relief, dropping to his knees next to her. Kaiser laid there, unmoving, his head next to her, hsi mind not focusing on anything else, jsut the thought that she was okay. For now.

The fox’s apartment was close to the convenience store. He hated this city, with its smells and people. He didn’t know why he stayed when all he wanted to do was burn it to the ground then return to his forest. But foxfire didn’t work like that – you could only target one creature per tail… which meant that he was never going to be able to burn down more than one household at a time. And that would take forever.
Zenko felt his steps slow and he looked around groggily. He plodded on more, his feet growing heavier with each step. The idea that someone had drugged him entered his mind as he slumped against a brick wall. He grasped for his power, desperate to throw up an illusion – any illusion, but it slipped through his grasp like water. Darkness creeped from the edges of his vision then everything went black.
---
Zenko awoke to hear people talking. He couldn’t quite hear what they were saying yet, but there was defiantly more than one voice. He kept his eyes closed and did a mental check of his body. He seemed unharmed, he didn’t even ache. After a moment he realized he was completely human – drugs tended to make his lose control and change back partway. He steadied his breathing and inhaled deeply, trying to determine through smell and sound how many people were in the room and what they planned to do with him.

Yuki moved around, she was on her back now yet her back she kept her eyes just maybe she was just flipped her over and didn't start the massage, Yuki waited sometime, soon she heard voices, not that of her agent, or the masseuse, but voices unfamiliar to her. She decided to use her heighten sense of smell to check the room for a familiar scent so she could find out what was going on, a certain scent caught her nose and her eyes opened wide she was under a blanket on a dirty old cot, she was practically naked under the sheet though her spa robe was sitting next to her, she grabbed it and marched over to the desk. "Where am I, and why am I here, I was on a very important spa vacation, do you have any idea who I am? I'm going to have my agent and manager here in a second and they'll sue you for every measly last dime you have you dirty old man," She reached into the robe pocket to grab her cell phone, but it was not there. Yuki began to get angry now. "I demand you return my cell you don't understand the trouble I can cause when I become very angry.", she exclaimed as she stared at the man clearly infuriated.
"Oh but I do little fox," the man replied as Yuki looked at him astonished at what she had just been called, after all she wasn't threatening him with her super powers, but rather her pull with important people in practically every field of work, but he knew the secret she had kept for seven years, even her adoptive parents didn't know the truth about her but he did, "Please sit down and once every buddy is awake I will explain it to all of you at once." The told as he looked around the room to see how things were going with the others.

The morning of that third day was quiet, peaceful, the girl’s screams had subsided and she seemed to be taking her final rest for all of eternity. Damon stood at the window of his apartment, twilight had begun to consume the city around him and the shadows began to dance in the dwindling light. He smiled, tonight would only be the beginning for this young girl, she would be perfect for her task, and with darkness arriving this early they had plenty of dark hours to spend on the hunt.
He moves from the window and pulled a blood bag from the fridge, the girl would be waking up soon and he knew the drill, first she’d attack begging for him to quench her thirst, then when he gave her the blood she’d drink it and when she’s finished she’d scream bloody murder after realizing what she’d become. Why else would this lovely apartment be sound proofed? Throwing the bag into the microwave for thirty seconds he leaned against the kitchen counter. He was so close, the twins were within his reach and he knew it, he had fought through plenty of slime ball vampires to get here and he wasn’t going to come out of this little adventure empty handed, with this young vampire under his control she would serve as a blood hound seeking out some of the rarest of blood and send him directly to the twins.
There was stirring in the bedroom, the small whimpers of a little girl. Damon smirked, grabbed the steaming hot bag from the microwave, and left to assist his newborn partner.

Her hands covered her face skittishly as she shrunk back in her bed.
Opening one eye and moving her fingers, she watched him rest his head next to her, and seemed to calm.
"Good morning." she said soothingly, her musical and sweet voice ringing out.
The girl closed her eyes and lied there contently for a few minutes before sitting up and smoothing out her blue hair.
She ran her hand over her arm, taking off a thick black ribbon she had wrapped around it.
Her hands expertly pinned back her hair and made a perfect bow as she tiredly watched her brother.
It was clear just for her affectionate gaze that she loved her brother with all her heart.
One strand of her blue hair hung next to her face, and she inspected it.
She had always wished to have a normal hair color or at least look normal.
But she got over it and grew to love her blue hair/eyes.
Suddenly her eyes widened her her body tensed.
"Kaiser. . .I don't know were we are!" she cried, wrapping her arms around herself.
Big blue Bambi eyes searched her brother for some sort of reassurement.

Chantelle's eyes widened at the prospect of food. Were those bat wings? She glanced at her sister, not wanting to make the first move, but the man gently pushed her towards the table. She sat down and ate, too hungry to argue further. She wanted to know what was going on, but it could wait. She was hungry. As she glanced around at all the others she tilted her head. "Who are you guys?" She asked, trying to be polite and break the ice.

Suki had noticed where they were, and she seemed rather rattled by it. Kaiser slid farther up the bed, placing himself next to her. He reached around and wrapped his arm around her, giving her a gentle, reassuring squeeze. He looked her in the eyes, trying to convey his will to protect her through it.
Only after this did Kaiser take notice of the others in the rooms. There were many, most of them about his age, and just as confused as himself. When the old man spoke up, Kaiser instantly took a disliking. If what he had to say was important, why not gain their trust first, then bring them to safety? Kaiser's arm tightened a little more around his siter, trying to put himself between her and the man.
The man went on to present them with food. Kaiser's stomach growled loudly. He never did get to eat that rabbit he had killed, but what was this man's angle? Food was food, and no matter what came, he would need his strength to continue. But was the food safe?
Only one way to find out ,thought Kaiser. He pointed his staff into the room, at a plump apple perched in a bowl on the table. He guided the fruit slowly to his outstretched hand, pulling it from one room to another. Once in his hand, he examined, sniffed it. Once that passed his test, their was one last thing to do. Kaiser reached up a gloved hand and grabbed his mask. He pulled it down around his neck, revealing his scarred lower half of his face, as he took a bite of the apple. He replaced the mask as he chewed. It was sweet, very sweet. But not deadly. Kaiser turned to face his sister, handing it to her, nodding his approval.

The girl sitting across from them broke the silence. Verdel noticed right away her dark eyes; they looked like voids of endless night. "My name is Raphael" his brother spitted out eagerly. Verdel lightly slapped his brother's thigh beneath the table, giving him a sort of look that said "could you NOT tell dark-eyed strangers your name without having any idea why they're here?" Nevertheless, he swallowed his cautions for the sake of manners and possibly getting some answers. "Verdel." he said before taking in a slice of pineapple.
An adjacent plate overflowing with apples of different colors caught Verdel's eye; he couldn't help but notice one unripe apple in the bunch. He lightly touched his finger to it, and the apple miraculously matured in an instant, evolving from a faint green color into a brilliant golden color. He no sooner realized what he had done when he looked around nervously to make sure nobody saw.

Then her smell hit him. He looked up to see her scolding the old man before she disappeared into the other room. His eyes narrowed at the spot she had been, his hands fisting in the sheets. There was no way it could have really been her, right?
With effort he relaxed himself. If it was, he would find a way to deal. It had been seven years after all, he could be wrong. He negotiated around the beds and gave the old man a curt nod before stepping into the room with the delicious smells. His salivary glands instantly kicked into over-drive. His delicate nose could pick out the sweetness of apples, the sour tang of lemonade, meat still sizzling on its plate, and – oh, was that eel?
Without pausing he picked up a plate as far from the one who smelled like his sister as he could get and began to pile food onto it. He wasn’t too worried about poison or drugs – the old man could have done anything he had wanted by now, and Zenko’s kitsune nature left him resistant to normal drugs and poison.
The first thing he went for was the eel – sushi, baked, jellied. It filled over half his plate. As an after thought, he added other red meats, berries, and some fruit. It seemed like the others were introducing themselves, though he only caught the last name.
“I’m Takeshi Kojimoto” he offered with a grin. “Nice to be kidnapped with you.”

“Stop doing that, you’re really creepy do you know that?” she asked, her voice had a sting to it that contradicted her bright appearance. The man only laughed and took a seat, grabbing his fair share of food. She leaned back and listened to everyone introduce themselves, mostly to Chantelle. That girl was so annoying! All she did was be nice, and Adelina knew if you were nice it made you weak.
She glared at her sister before turning to the rest of them. “Hello, I’m Adelina,” she said, deciding against adding her usual “my parents are the leader of one of the best covens in the world so don’t mess with me even if I’m an outcast” thinking better of it. She watched the one of the guys curiously and her prismatic eyes widened when the fruit changed color. “Well that’s a neat trick.”

She quickly mellowed out and relaxed in her twin's arms, closing her eyes for a moment.
After a light sigh, she stood up.
She still seemed slightly tensed as she took her brother's hand and led him to the dining room.
The blue-haired girl bowed her head in respect to the others before stating, "I'm Suki. This is Kaiser."
She often spoke for her brother, as he didn't like to speak to anyone other then her.
Her eyes that seemed to be made up of many different shades lit up when her brother offered an apple but she shook her head lightly. "No, you keep it."
A light sneeze escaped her and made her fragile body jump backwards.
It didn't seem like it would take but effort to overpower her, at all.
She sat down next to Kaiser and looked at the man that was smiling at her.
Suki shrunk back fearfully, her eyes going wide.
It was clear this made made her nervous and she didn't seem to trust him in the slightest bit.
Her eyes then fell on Raphael, although her look this time was less fearful and more curious.

Kaiser made sure Suki had situated herself okay before sitting next to her, placing his staff in his lap, and staring at anything but the people around him. He still didn't trust anyone, even if he knew their names. Sure, they were all brought here by the same man for an unknown reason, but that didn't prove the others innocent.
Wanting to distract himself from these problems, he began to grab bits and pieces of food from the table onto his plate. He grabbed a piece of some delicious-looking bird creature, using his fork to bring it up to smell. It's scent was intoxicating. He removed his mask once more, the damaged skin exposed once more and took a bite. The food was fantastic, the flavours melting in his mouth. It had been sometime since Kaiser had eaten much, giving the larger portions of any food they obtained to Suki. This bird, whatever it was wonderful. He chewed it slowly, savouring it, forgetting his mask completely.

"Well now that most of us have eaten," he says, sending a glance in Adelina's direction. "I will tell you why I have brought you to my cabin. I have trained many different species of creatures, but never quite as special as you." He smiled that strange, yet warm smile as he continued. "Prophets said that four sets of twins would be born, each child bearing the opposite elemental power as their twin. Most of you have probably figured out that you are already different than others of your race, but might not have figured out just how different." He wandered to each twin in turn and patted them on the head.
"Kaiser, you contain the powers of the flame. You've already experienced only the slight reprimand that comes with it, but as you train to be more powerful you must also learn how to control its strength. Suki, as gentle as a rain drop. Remember that not all water is calm and you must know its limits. Raphael, an angel that's closer to air than others. Don't let its slight breezes discourage you for great hurricanes can come from it. Verdel, as an angel, earth may be complicated for you. Just remember that the element chose you for a reason. Adelina," he frowned slightly as he looked her over. "You come from darker creatures, yet you are of light. Don't let that darken your personality. Chantelle, don't let the powers of dark seclude you from others. You've shown how outgoing you can be so try to be a part of something. People will be able to see past the dark interior once they get to know you. Zenko and Yuki, you two must watch each other so that Zenko doesn't get too caught up in his imagination, while Yuki lives only for what can be seen." He was now at the other end of the table and looked back at all of them.
"The forces of all the elements combined is something that threatens the very balance of our existance. Each of you is a personified version of what the element is, should something happen to one of you the world would fall into disorder. I'm afraid that the vampires do not seem to see that without you our world would perish. They only see your great powers that threaten their reign as the top creatures." He bent over so that his weight was on the table.
"I have brought you here in an attempt to protect you, but should I fail I am also training you to use your elements to protect yourselves. You will have to depend on each other so I recomend you get to know eachother." He then opened the door that they had been in before, revealing the rows of cots. "I only have four rooms total in the house: your shared bedroom," he gestured towards the room they had been in. "you're in the kitchen and dining area, a bathroom," he gestured to a door off to the side. "And one more room, but you shall not know its use untill it's time. When will that time be? We shall see." Before disappearing through the third door, he looked back at the group. "I have a surprise for you outside, but it will wait untill tomorrow."

The man just smiled as the two girls worked themselves into rants. "You won't be able to leave. I've set up protective spells around the perimeter to keep you here and warn us if anyone comes in an attempt to kill you. You were not safe in your regular lives, a leak has happened and the vampires have learned of your identities."

"Sir," Verdel started, looking over at the old man, who had still been smiling this whole time. "if you are willing to teach us, then I am ready to learn. I cannot speak for everybody else here but, I've lived my whole life wondering the extent of my powers, and yet, having no idea how to harness them. If you promise you can teach me how to connect better with my element, and you also promise that what you say is true - that we cannot be harmed in here - then I have no qualms with staying. I have merely one request.... I want to sleep outside. It's not a personal thing .. your cots are rather, "comfy", but I much prefer sleeping close to nature."

Abruptly he stood up, almost knocking his chair over. “You heard him. Protective spells and all that jazz. Complaining isn’t going to do anything, except annoy others.” At this his gaze slid to his sister. “Yuki, it’s been so long, I didn’t even recognize you. You look good.”
He hoped that Yuki was so caught up in being human that she wouldn’t bother to point out that they could smell each other. Zenko guessed that the other creatures either already knew he wasn’t human or would know soon enough, but he doubted they could sense what he was. The kitsune were a reclusive lot when it came to the supernatural world. He liked to keep a few cards up his sleeve – he still wasn’t sure who he could and could not trust.
