Description

Dax Mitell
Image

Name: Dax Tir Mitell

Image

Theme Song:
Bloody Prince

Age:19

Role: Male 6

Image

Race: Half-Demon, Half-Angel

Gender: Male

Personality: Dax is not the nicest person in the world. In fact, you're more likely to piss him off and get on his bad side if anything. He has his moments where he can be kind, but that usually only to his little pet he keeps wrapped around he shoulders. Dax isn't afraid to show if she's pissed off or if he's happy. When pissed, a frown will fall upon his face, and when happy a giant grin will appear on his face.

Even if he doesn't like you though, if in some way he feels obligated to take care of someone, he will. He'll do it with a lot of complaining and threats, but he'll still do it.

History: Dax grew up an only child. Once he parents saw him, they deemed him a mistake and decided to not have any more devil spawns. His parents are actually both angels, and neither have any idea hoe he became what he is. Well... His mother knows since she went whoring around, but that's a different story for a later time. After Dax was reject by all his family, he realized the only way anyone could tell was through his eyes. So he allowed his hair to grow out and refuses to show them. Even to other demons.

Because his family never cared what he did, he did what he wanted. Be is scale the house, kill random things or people, carve things out of wood or ice or sometimes the flesh of dead things. He was usually bored 'cause no one would play with him when he was little. SO when he developed into a teen he also developed into a tormentor. Since no one would play with him, he thought, he would "play" with them.

Prince Raphael Jefferson

It was clear that Raphael was opposed to all this as he stood behind the other competitors for the throne, all vying for control which was rightfully his. He had dedicated the last few years to aide his father to prepare himself for the future when control would be passed to him, instead the fate of them all hung on the balance of this contest. It was wrong, but should he not put his own foot forwards, then the right to rule which rightfully was his, would even more likely not come into being. It seemed that after the death of his mother, the Queen of Angel Central, that things had started to get out of his hand while his father, King of the Shadowlands, remained supreme. Clearly he thought this was a good idea, though perhaps secretly he wished for another demon to take the role as King rather than an angel like himself.

Sure Angels and Demons lived together and there was peace, somewhat, though clearly there was some resentment and some distinctions between the two that continue to shine. Raph only hoped that this whole fiasco would not get out of hand as he listened to the advisor, "Thank you all for coming here today. I hope you all have heard the news about the six human girls. We will be starting a contest today! The six of you will try to win the heart of an assigned human girl, and might I add that the throne will be the prize! The first person who gets their girl to willingly marry wins. You start today", before the advisors divided to each one to tell them who they were assigned to. He simply closed his eyes to catch the names of those already assigned so as soon as his advisor came, he merely responded, "I am aware".

Usually Raph would be standing at the front proudly, but how could he be proud of this venture where his brother and his cousins are all in this to compete against him as rightful heir, fighting over it like vultures. That was not the only problem Raph felt, but the fact they were all 'assigned' a girl, meant that they themselves could not divert from who they had been assigned to, so he feared that if things didn't work out with those they were given, things may get out of hand. Raphael stood still in the chamber as his brother and cousins all left one by one to meet their assigned girl while his advisors kept hassling him to do the same but each time he told him no, before ordering his silence. No longer being hassled, he then raised his voice so that his fellow competitors could hear before they left, "No violence will be tolerated. No doubt your eyes are on the prize, but if your assigned girl refuses or wishes to return home, accept it and not dispute it".

It was certainly a serious matter and one that Raph was concerned about, so after warning his now-competitors, he approached the advisor who had spoken before, "I do hope you will keep this in mind. I find your lack of foresight disturbing, so I highly suggest guards at report stations. I will not have my parents' work destroyed by your games", before turning around and storming out the chamber. It was only when he was out that he dropped his guard a little and sighed, before turning to the advisor who remained with him, "Right, you can lead me to the girl now...". The walk thereafter certainly helped cool Raph down, but it certainly did not make the situation any better. Raph wasn't sure how he should proceed competition-wise, so he simply would be taking part and not playing, solely not wishing to mislead the girl, nor decieve them which is what this whole competition was doing, as he arrived outside the doors of one Izumi Aki, knocked upon it and then waited, being courteous and not wishing to be rude and barge in.

It had happened all too quickly. The last thing that she remembered, last real thing she remembered, was the old man infront of her as she ran away from her brothers' flat to see Yoh in the hospital, but instead she ran round the old man, only to find herself tripping over and slipping over. As you stood on the ground, you had the evidence clearly infront of you that if you sat down, you'd be sitting on the same ground you were standing on. The same expectation was what Kimberley had, as she expects to fall onto the ground in no time at all, but instead she felt like she was falling in a bottomless pit until she suddenly appeared in what looked like a mystical lands from a story book.

Not knowing where exactly where she was or if she was alive, she checked her pulse and noticed that it was still going so death hadn't knocked on her door, but now she found herself trapped with no way back, no way out to see how Yoh was doing, but at the same time she was worried for him, worried what exactly her brother had done to him and if he would come out okay. Now she was truly alone and even more so in this strange place. The only comfort she had held onto was five other girls who appeared out of no-where like her, girls who too had a strange experience and hadn't the foggiest where they was before they were led to this palace and told about this world being full of angels and demons. Wasn't they supposed to enemies or something.

Personally, Kimberley could care less but as long as she knew where she was and that the ground she was standing on wasn't going to fall through, a luxury she had taken for granted, she felt she'd be okay as they were led to their rooms and it was they that she rested until waking up and finding clothes prepared for her on the side. Fat chance she was going to wear those, so it was a good job she was leaving home when all this happened since she had her bag of belongings with her and therefore had the luxury of wearing what she liked, holding onto who she really was. Her experience so far had been that the trust she had in others was misplaced with her father beating her and her mother, her mother doing nothing and then her brothers' advance on her. How can she trust these guys?!

Taking matters into her own hands as she did last night when she insisted to wear her own pyjamas, regardless of how rich and nice the ones offered were, so when she woke, she sat up and saw clothes offered once again, but still stubborn she rejected them and merely just sat up in bed and laying her head on the pillow behind it to merely gather her thoughts together as she closed her eyes and took some silent breathers.

Dax appeared in the window of the girl named Kimberley. "Ushishishi~ Seems the princess is still sleeping~" Dax said, jumping through the window and sitting on it's sill. "Such a lazy princess~"

He stood up and walked towards the girl while looking at her clothes. He wondered if this girl would be worth his time or if she'd just disappoint him by being like the stereotypical princess who needed someone to save them at every turn of the way. It seemed like every other girl was that way. He glanced at the girl's clothes and realized she was wearing what seemed like peasant clothes. They were quite ugly in his perspective.

"A lazy princess who dresses bad, might I add." Dax stated, a grin coming to his face, laughing at his own joke.

Kimberley could not quite put her finger as to how she got here, nor had she the foggiest of how to get back, so if trusting others was not an option, if getting back was not an option and if they thought they could convert her to doing what they say, the answer was most definitely, no. She was certainly no pushover, and if she couldn't trust anyone but herself, then she had to have her wits about her and stand up for herself. Of course to do that, she had to first accept her situation which she was doing right now as she relaxed and mentally worked on adjusting herself to this new environment and coming up with different ideas on how to get back, because if she didn't know how to back, there has got to be someone in this place that knows how to reverse it all, unlike they truly did wish to keep her and the other girls for their own selfish desires.

Just then, her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a sound coming from the window which her ears perked up to, as well as her eyes though she only opened slightly to see a tall guy enter her room and sit on her window sill. Well it wasn't even her window sill technically, but still, he shouldn't be sitting there. As soon as he was approaching her though, she couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. One would ask why after her experience she would allow a guy into her bedroom, but first she wished to see what the guy was like and so far, it wasn't so good, but it was more with the control of his mouth rather than his motivations like her brother, "Such a lazy princess.....A lazy princess who dresses bad, might I add", as he then begun to laugh. Oh brother, now she finds herself with a laughing hyena, as she silently sighed to let him have his 'glorious moment'.

However, she couldn't let him have it as her eyes opened and looked him over, "and you're the expert are you? the guy who is too lazy to cut his own hair and dresses like a scruff and yet you criticise my clothing which is a whole lot decent than yours, or is not decent in your vocabulary, preferring a princess who obeys every command to feed the lust for your eyes. So if appearing moderately, or as you say 'dresses bad' is a crime, then I'm totally guilty", before looking to the small animal on his shoulder which she wasn't quite sure what to call it with this being a whole new world, though it seemed no different to the one she had left where the guys wanted what they wanted, "It's a wonder you can see at all with your shaggy dog hair, that you've even made the poor creature on your shoulder your look-alike, just so you feel better...".

The guy could say what he liked, but if he was expecting her to follow his every command, she was going to refuse, just like she was refusing to get out of her bed, especially when she was only in her nighty. Sure they could not compare to the nightgowns she was given, but she didn't want them. Taking the time for her words to sink in, "Now if you've finished commenting on everything, unless your not finished yet, I'd like to know who you are and why you are here, for where I am from, it is highly disappropriate for a guy to come bursting into a girl's bedroom without permission". Did she care if she was talking down to him? no, course not. Her father and brother had done it a thousand times, now it was time for her thousand, regardless of where she was, and it seemed out of the two of them, she was the one who could see clearly and have the brains to go with it.

"Ushishishi. The princess is spunky~" Dax said, quite amused. He placed a hand on Minx's head, "He chose this style. He bites me every time I try and cut it."

She said. Dax actually found her quite rude. Which amused him greatly. You never saw rude princesses anymore.

Dax got up and stood on said window sill. Be gave a small little bow before looking up and smiling again. "Prince Dax~ And the prince intends on finding his princess. Aka. You~" Dax explained. He knew she would reject him, but that made everything more gun.

Kimberley Lane

Just when she felt she had escaped, just when she thought she was in clear, it seemed that once again there was going to be a guy in her life that annoyed her to her wits end. Her father was someone she looked up to since he worked hard but upon seeing what he was doing to mother and what he almost did to her if not for her brother, he hated his guts and also hated how her mother just let it all happen. It was for this reason that she left her birth home and moved elsewhere with her brother to be safe, but even that did not last long when her brother got jealous over how close she was getting to the foreign exchange student Yoh. Kimberley could of trusted her brother with her life with how much he has helped her, but only having to come to the conclusion that it was just his selfish interests that had ruined all that, having possessive feelings that a brother should not. He was supposed to be the one to help her through this, and now she arrives in this strange place, only to be dealing with another guy whose motives were questionable.

All she had wanted was a peaceful life where she could rely on someone and that someone who could rely on her. She truly felt that Yoh was the one, but he had fallen victim to her brothers' fury. As she sat there, she wanted to be by his side if he was still there, but clearly fate was not agreeing with her, that fate had other ideas as out of all the young girls back home, she had been the one who fell through here with five others. Six girls certainly did not represent the entire human race, so the reason why she was here remained unclear, so she was determined to get the answers. "Ushishishi. The princess is spunky", the guy responded as she crossed her arms as her eyes looked up at the ceiling in dismay, before blaming the poor creatures for his so called 'style', "He chose this style. He bites me every time I try and cut it". Kimberley found it hard to accept that conclusion, but if it was the case with this strange world she was in, perhaps this idiot's ears were listening afterall, despite all the fluff surrounding them.

After asking who he was and requesting to know why he was in, making sure to remind him how rude he was to come bursting into a girl's bedroom uninvited, she watches as he gets up and stands on the window sill and bows, "Prince Dax~ And the prince intends on finding his princess. Aka. You~". Was this guy out of his mind?! Course he was as she just gave him 'the look' and said, "In your dreams", clearly not amused as he was but it at least explained why he was here, "You don't even look like a Prince. Your really full of it you are, as you don't look like a Prince to me, nor do you act like one, and if you pet is the one telling you to look the way to do, it seems to me that he's more of a Prince than you are and for some strange reason, I don't even find that strange with everything else here that is out of the ordinary". She didn't know why she was speaking her thoughts aloud as she normally kept them private but guessed she'd let him off this once since she wanted answers.

"And another thing, I believe we can both agree on that I don't even look like a Princess, since according to you I dress bad. If I was a Princess, I wouldn't even be sitting here right now", closing her eyes once again to cool off a little as Dax was not her brother or her father so maybe she was biting back too hard as she re-opened her eyes, "I appreciate the thought nonetheless, but flattery don't get you anywhere mind, and still does not give you the right to stand on that window sill, so can you get down please and at least tell me the truth and shed some light on where I am exactly and how I got here. Those other guys told me that I'm in another world full of angels and demons, but where I'm from, we only see angels and demons if they come to us in times of trouble or when we are dead, it's all pretty overwhelming....just like your hair", pulling a thin smile to have her bit of amusement as he did, though hoping that he wouldn't be a jerk and lie to her further.

"In your dreams", she said quite quickly, "You don't even look like a Prince. Your really full of it you are, as you don't look like a Prince to me, nor do you act like one, and if you pet is the one telling you to look the way to do, it seems to me that he's more of a Prince than you are and for some strange reason, I don't even find that strange with everything else here that is out of the ordinary".

Dax clicked his tongue in annoyance. But she continued before he could respond, "And another thing, I believe we can both agree on that I don't even look like a Princess, since according to you I dress bad. If I was a Princess, I wouldn't even be sitting here right now. I appreciate the thought nonetheless, but flattery don't get you anywhere mind, and still does not give you the right to stand on that window sill, so can you get down please and at least tell me the truth and shed some light on where I am exactly and how I got here. Dax made a sign to stop talking. "The princess talks too much. Minx," He lifted up the animal as if to prove his point, "Styled his hair after the prince. And the Prince is a prince!" It was here he took off a ring that had decorated his finger. On it was his family crest and a rare jewel. Even though she wasn't used o the ways of there lands, she should at least be able to tell it belonged to someone important.

Dax go down from her window and decided to move onto the very end of her bed. to the point of where he could fall off if he didn't have balance. It was here he allowed Minx to go investigate the girl. The fluffy white and fiery red animal instantly scuttled over to the girl and sniffed her. "If you freak out he'll bite." Dax warned, "He just wants to see if you're dangerous."

"And as to how you guys got here... You fell through a portal that should have been guarded. But since the two brothers decided to be stupid and fight they neglected their duties. So at least you're not dead. Shishi~" Dax said. People actually haven't explained that part to him much. "But I'm supposed to be the prince in charge of this princess. So no getting rid of me~ Shishi~"

He sat there patiently looking like a curious little kid as Minx decided to curl up next to the girl. That... Never happened. Minx hated everybody like him.

It had been nice to enjoy a nights' sleep again. In a way, whatever or whoever brought her here had subconsciously connected with her, as it was her desire upon leaving her brothers' place that she needed to find somewhere new, but this was totally not what she was expecting. Her plan had been to be at Yoh's side, even to sleep in the chair and share the hospital dinners until he was better before returning to his country with him, though such a plan had begun to fade as her brothers' words were on her mind and how he had 'taken care' of him who apparently got in his way. With the strength that she now felt flowing through her with her more aggressive and take-no-nonsense attitude, she felt like going back home just to get her brother back. However, she wasn't even sure if she would ever return as 'Prince Dax' spoke about 'the prince intends on finding his princess' as he referred to her, conveying the idea that his search was over since she was apparently 'his princess', but what did that mean....being his toy no doubt.

Afterall, his first act as soon as he came in was criticising what she was wearing, already evaluating his prize. Perhaps it had been him who was responsible for her arrival here so he had his toy to play with, seeing as he found all this so amusing, yet it didn't explain the other girls, unless you took into account other guys like him walking around, but why her and why them specifically, out of the entire human female population...it made no sense one bit, so all he had to say on the matter was, "The princess talks too much. Minx", as he lifted his pet up who she assumed was this 'Minx' name he had attached to his sentence. Surely he understood the reasons for her questions, having been pulled away from everything she knew, into somewhere that she didn't know anything about. Over the past years, Kimberley had worked hard in school so she could do something worthwhile in her life, and here she was without the foggiest idea what to do except using her instincts, as she listed to 'Prince Dax' proclaim the validity of his claim with a ring which seemed legit, but still.

Kimberley stood her ground by sticking to what she said before, although he may be a Prince, he certainly did not act like one, nor look like one, but least he regarded her opinion as well as obeying her request by getting off the window sill to sit at the bottom of the bed, before the creatures then came over to her as Dax spoke up, "If you freak out he'll bite. He just wants to see if you're dangerous". Well, she had seen enough upon her arrival as well as her escort to this room which she now resided and contained herself in, but despite the fire that strangely was not harming 'Minx', she found no reason to freak out at a cute looking creature, though she once again stood by her convictions that the hair was too much once again. Dax couldn't even keep to one story, as before he had said that 'Minx' would bite him when he tried to cut it, yet now the story is that 'Minx' styles his hair after him. Oh well, it was their hair if they wished to look stupid, but what was advised to her once before was never trust a guy who could not look you in the eye. Hard to do that when they are covered.

"And as to how you guys got here... You fell through a portal that should have been guarded. But since the two brothers decided to be stupid and fight they neglected their duties. So at least you're not dead. Shishi...But I'm supposed to be the prince in charge of this princess. So no getting rid of me~ Shishi", such confirmed her theory which she was about to raise when she looked down to 'Minx' who now curled up to her which made her smile genuinely, unlike her first smile to him which purely appeared to reinforce her statement against his hair, but clearly he wasn't going to change it, as she then dared to give Minx a slight stroke, weary about the flames though there was some flames you could put your head in and not be burnt but she wasn't sure which, so she avoided the flames all together as she believed safety flames would no doubt be impossible just like dragon fire.

She then lifted her head up away from Minx and back over to Dax, clearly there must be a soft side to him if he has such a sweet pet like Minx here, so Dax couldn't be all so bad, and at least he was honest even if at times he was brutally my honest when it came to describing her clothes which she took offence too as her only reminder of home, but his honesty was much more than what her father and brother did who lied through their teeth and hid who they truly were, whereas Dax merely acted like Dax so you knew exactly who you were dealing with. "I'm sorry if I have come off a bit forceful, I have had alot on my mind lately so do forgive me. I've been taught to be skeptical about the things I see and to question everything, for I like to know exactly where I stand...though I do find it odd for a Prince to be watching over me and guessing the other girls have a charge too?....and about these two brothers and their duties, surely you guys as Princes have duties other than us to take care of, or you too will be neglecting your duties. Then again, it could simply be a sort of compensation for the accident I guess, I don't know", as she shrugged.

Kimberley was certainly not against what she was seeing as she could see it was all real as she had checked her pulse when she first got here so she was well and truly alive, and she certainly was awake after giving herself a pinch also to double-check. "Personally, and don't mean to be rude, but when I think of Princes, I don't see them on guard duty, but rather having others serve them than them serving others, but is commendable nonetheless...though might I ask what me and the other girls are supposed to do now, is there a reverse mechanism or something so we can go back", deciding to let the whole hair issue being since such was no doubt unique to him so would probably be wrong to pursue the issue further and lose what was critical to her identity just as her clothes were, such that she would bring up if he complained about her clothes again, feeling more confident talking to him, now that he was criticising her, at the moment at least.

Dax watched as the girl rambled. She really does talk quite a bit. He watched as he tried to avoid the red flames spouting off of the animal. The flames never hurt him unless Minx wanted them to hurt, he it was probably fine for her to touch it. To him, the flames felt more like water without the wetness.

Dax played with his bangs, twirling the pieces in his fingers, "I'm only here 'cause I have nothing better to do. I may be a prince. But I'm not allowed to have any of the princely duties usually assigned nor am I pampered."

Adjusting the tiara on his head he continued, "And plus. Mink likes you~"

Prince Raphael Jefferson

Raphael was concerned, not only for his own future and the state of their Kingdom which encouraged deception to flow through its veins, but mostly concerned for the human girls that now dwelt in Purgatory. His brother and his cousins all were competing to get their hands on the throne when they were all so incompetant. Did they not realise the huge task that would entail, for ruling a Kingdom did have its disadvantages as well as its advantages, for Raphael himself has had a taster as he aided his father. It was through the love of his mother with the King of the Shadowlands that brought Angels and Demons together, but now without his mother, it seemed that all she had done was falling apart, much like Raphael's case. There was no reason at all as to how the court could not pick between himself and his brother when he was the eldest and took his duties seriously unlike his brother and his cousins.

He couldn't help but sigh. He had no aspirations to become King as he grew up, but he understood his responsibilities and separated himself from his life of freedom to one of servitude, for it was the royals that lived to serve their people, or at least that was Raphael's viewpoint. Nevertheless, despite his opposition, there was little he could do to end the competition if it had his father and his advisors' backing, so if Raphael succeeded as he should, then clearly changes would need to be made. For now, he would have no choice but to go through it, while his mind thought about his brothers and his cousins and what they were doing, to get close to such vulnerable girls so that they fall in love in order to become King and then the girl would no longer be on their priority list.

As Raphael stood by the door, a guard informed him of how she had been screaming to get out before Raphael knocked again and heard a voice at the other side, "What do you want?". Having been recognised, Raphael opened the door slowly, only to close it once again for it to act as a shield as the girl threw an ornament towards him. Raphael could understand what she was going through, sadly she did not know even half of it, that this whole process was torturing him, which made him wonder what Alaire thought with him being an angel too, or was it merely him with his convictions that was driving him in such a way.

Wishing to help her calm down, he entered the room and closed the door behind him and began to walk twards her as he saw her slide between the bed and the wall, as she told him, "Stay where you are" as Raphael obeyed. "Who are you? What do you want with me?", she asked before he heard her yelp when she dropped something heavy, no doubt something else to throw at him as she attempted to pick it up again. Having been told to stay, Raphael held out his right hand towards her and lowered his head as a sign of humilty as he spoke, "I understand how you feel, but you are in no danger here and I shall not harm you", which was the least that his 'competitors' would do if they lost and no longer wanted their 'assigned girl'. Such still sickened him.

Nevertheless, Izumi was a guest in Purgatory and will be treated as such. He may be a Prince and be the one usually to give orders, but he had no problems taking orders, which is why he remained in his position and not took another step. "I understand how you must feel right now, that I do not even have the words to accurately express my feelings towards your predicament. I do not know if you have been told anything by anyone, as surely all this is overwhelming to you as such is the way I would feel if I was in your place and afraid of what was to come, but I assure you that you need not fear and need not harm yourself...", as his eyes glanced to the heavy object, concerned that she may do herself injury.

Having made his concern clear, his right arm folded in so that it was across his chest as he offered a bow to introduce himself, "My name is Raphael", before straightening his back and casting his eyes back to Izumi, "No doubt you have questions and I shall do my best to answer them, for I am here to accomodate you, so if there is something you need, please do not hesitate to let me know. You are our guest here", wishing to help her feel better, but at the same time, he did not wish to overwhelm her at once. It was one thing to be in a strange place and have a strange guy before you, but even more so to learn that he is a Prince, hence why he refrained from mentioning too much.

It was all too overwhelming and all too strange as Kimberley tried to make sense of it. Portals that had essentially kidnapped six young girls, who now found themselves in a life of luxury and each having a Prince to attend them. It made no sense unless the whole thing was a setup which is what Kimberley was thinking, how they convienantly all girls with all princes at their beck and call. Living the dream was always a dream that was clouded over by reality, but here it seemed everything was in a whole new plain, a whole new reality, yet the constant has always been that things should not be taken for granted, that there is always a price. What was the price for all this royal treatment?

It was her hope that with Dax's open brutal honest that he'd just come out and prove her right, though such a truth was not one she liked but Kimberley valued honesty and truth all the same, which is why she is open with how she feels. If it is not by her words that she acts, it would of course be her actions, wasting no time in her decision making as she evaluated the pro's and con's. So far this place offered a rather different lifestyle to the one she was used to and she was away from those who do her harm, but the con's was that she hardly knew anyone here, nor to what their motivations were, which is where the phrase 'better the enemy you know' comes in. Home was certainly on her mind, but she knew she could do nothing about it right now.

"I'm only here 'cause I have nothing better to do. I may be a prince, But I'm not allowed any of the princely duties usually assigned nor am I pampered", before he adjusted a tiara that was sinking in his hair before adding, "And plus. Mink likes you". Kimberley sighed. She had asked Dax if the other girls had a charge too but there was no response so she assumed that was true since he had not attempted to change her mind with a response. What she also recieved a non-response to was about them going back, which suggested and conveyed the idea that going back was either not allowed, impossible or a challenge. All he decided to tell her was how he don't have any other duties as he's not allowed and how he has not been pampered which suggests a independant self-sufficient life which explains alot.

Kimberely couldn't really blame Dax, but how having him to attend her was going to make her feel any better about the situation was beyond ridiculous. Why his hair was even more bushy with a higher maintenance than her own. "And I like Minx too", as she decided to put her worries aside and picked him up gently as she would to a cat back in the 'real world', as she used her right hand to pull her hair over her left shoulder so that as she leaned her side of her face slightly on him to give him a hug, no hair would get in the way, other than Minx's own of course.

"If only I could kiss you and turn you into a handsome prince like in the fairytales Minx, you'd be more of a Prince than Dax here", before pulling away slightly to look at Dax, "Where I come from, if you are a Prince, you have a duty in one form or another, so I don't believe you haven't got any unless you refrain from doing such or you simply can't do it, but I guess it hardly matters now even if you did, seeing as we've all been taken against our will and that we're stuck here, yet somehow you make it sound like it's all easy when it's not after leaving everything and everyone we know behind".

"And I like Minx too", She stated as she picked the little fur ball up. Who by the was, was just eating up this attention, "If only I could kiss you and turn you into a handsome prince like in the fairytales Minx, you'd be more of a Prince than Dax here", She pulled away from the animal to look at Dax, "Where I come from, if you are a Prince, you have a duty in one form or another, so I don't believe you haven't got any unless you refrain from doing such or you simply can't do it, but I guess it hardly matters now even if you did, seeing as we've all been taken against our will and that we're stuck here, yet somehow you make it sound like it's all easy when it's not after leaving everything and everyone we know behind".

Dax shrugged his shoulders. "We're not the same as humans. And plus, it doesn't matter." Dax grumbled. He hated talking about anything involving his family and it clearly showed on the scowl that showed on his face. When he scowled, it seemed unnatural. 'cause when he's either angry or sad or happy, he usually always has that damn grin on his face.

Forcing the scowl away, Dax spoke, "Once the portal is fixed... You'll be able to go home. So just deal with it a few days." That was more or less the truth. He felt annoyed that he was literally threatened by death to keep his mouth shut about the King thing. Dax had no interest in playing, but at least he got an interesting partner to play with. He just wondered how long it'd take for him to break his toy...

Dax pushed his hand under his bangs and rubbed his tired eyes. He had gotten absolutely no sleep last night, but knew he had to be there to talk to the girl bright and early. Speaking of early... It was getting quite late. "A princess should never be in bed this late. Go get dressed." He said, pointing over to what looked like a screen. "You can change behind that."

Kimberley certainly loved her stories, she loved reading them and loved writing them. It was why she loved English so much as they studied famous writers and how they constructed their sentences, their use of analogies and metaphors, similies and onomatopoeia. She was not a whole horror fan like the majority of girls, but she enjoyed reading such and taking note of the authors' style. Of course, the greatest works that were appreciated especially in her younger days was of course fairytales which always had a happy ending in some way or another, of how two people could put aside their differences. It was not to say that she had fallen in love with Minx as her statement was really more to relate to one of the fairytales she remembered back home of how a girl kissed a frog and the frog became a handsome prince. Even 'Beast' from 'Beauty and the Beast' had more consideration with his monstrous looked compared to Daz.

Of course, fairytales were not real and nor did any of this seem to be, but she knew this was real, especially since things were not so black and white and Dax wasn't singing how he truly felt, which imagining it would be sung pretty poorly, such making her smile which she hid in Minx's soft far, as he listened to Dax grumble, "We're not the same as humans". Well, you don't say, was her sarcastic remark to that but she kept such to herself. "And plus, it doesn't matter". Well clearly it does if he was grumbling. Perhaps she was right that he didn't have any duties because he simply was too incompetant to do it and yet complains about others neglecting their duties, when surely he could of done something as a Prince when he's got nothing to do which is what brought him here to supposedly be her charge, yet it seemed to simply him being here to annoy her.

"Once the portal is fixed... You'll be able to go home. So just deal with it a few days". As soon as she heard the word 'home', she felt better by the fact she'd no longer be in this strange place and dealing with the Dog Prince before her, but then again, what was left at 'home', a shattered mirror. Her spirits did lift as soon as 'home' was mentioned despite how things were, as it meant that they were not going to be trapped here and that there was a way back, that this portal was being fixed to help them get back which was good news indeed, yet all Dax can say is for her to 'deal with it'. Very polite, still showing no sign that he was a Prince at all. All he had was a tiara that could well go on a dolly and a ring that seemed to have some significance which maybe could go for some price on ebay as she wondered how much she'd get for it.

Her eyes then looked to Dax as she noticed him rubbing his eyes before telling her, "A princess should never be in bed this late. Go get dressed...You can change behind that". As soon as she said that, a chuckle began to form which continued to grow until it came out her lips as it turned into a giggle. "Your truly....something, aren't you Dax", turning to Minx, "Isn't he?", before her face straighted and she gently let go off Minx so that she could cross her arms so Minx could decide whether to perch himself round her or return to his master.

"I will not", she answered sternly, not liking the tone or being bossed around, especially by a guy, something she was not going to listen lightly like her mother did. Kimberley was stronger than that, not having a care in the world if it annoyed him, before she spoke up again, "If you are a Prince and I am your charge, then it should be you that does what I say and not the other way round, so no". She was not getting into all that business again, for now she was a young woman who was out to defend herself and not rely on a guy who is not all he seems. Sure Dax seemed more honest but to boss her around was something she did not take kindly too, so now she would bite back, just like what she did when he criticised her clothes, "Besides your not the same as humans as you said, so as a 'princess', I can have nothing better to do like you, so if I want to stay in bed all day, I'll stay in bed all day, just like you can stay up all night and have no sleep. Bet your eyes are red raw that it is no wonder you have hair that goes over your eyes", as she then turned away from him and looked towards the window, "I've been told before that I should never trust a person who cannot look me in the eye, so no", reassuring and complimenting her statement with a satisfied nod.

With him being her charge from how he had explained it, he had said that there would be no getting rid of him, so if she had to deal with him these few days then she wasn't going to play 'fetch' with him, as she wondered if the portal was even being fixed at all. She had thought she had left one bad place, only to find herself in another. Why was this so, why were the fates so cruel....

"Your truly....something, aren't you Dax", she asked turning to Minx, "Isn't he?" It was here he thought she was just going to ignore him until she spoke at him again. In more of a harsh tone as well. "I will not. If you are a Prince and I am your charge, then it should be you that does what I say and not the other way round, so no. Besides your not the same as humans as you said, so as a 'princess', I can have nothing better to do like you, so if I want to stay in bed all day, I'll stay in bed all day, just like you can stay up all night and have no sleep. Bet your eyes are red raw that it is no wonder you have hair that goes over your eyes. I've been told before that I should never trust a person who cannot look me in the eye, so no."

Dax practically snarled. "You're not my charge. I'm supposed to babysit you. And make sure you don't get attacked and/or raped by demons."
He motioned for the animal to come back to him. It looked up at Kimberly and then back at Dax. He snuggled deeper into her before giving up and trotting back to his master. Dax put an arm on the bed which Minx used to climb up and snuggle himself around Dax's neck again.

"I can't show my eyes. I don't care if you don't trust me 'cause of it. It's not happening." Dax defended. He sure as hell was never going to show anyone his eyes. He didn't care if he found the girl's rebellious behavior funny. Sensing his master's distress, Minx tried to give the pale cheek a small lick but found his neck wasn't at the right angle. So instead, he got up and curled onto Dax's head.

"Minx..." He muttered, picking the animal up off his head.

It was not in Kimberley's gentle nature to bite people's heads off, but in her experience so far, her former self had indeed been compromised and infiltrated which changed the way she behaves. If this had occurred a few years ago, Kimberley would not let Dax get to her so much and let him act the way he did, but since her ability to tolerate had been weakened, she of course went off on one as Dax started giving out his orders to tell her to get up and get dressed. However, despite her rant, she did actually mean well if he was listening to what she was saying since the conversation had moved from her to him as she scolded him for having no sleep since it was bad for him, just as he had scolded her for not being 'princess' like to stay in bed.

"You're not my charge. I'm supposed to babysit you. And make sure you don't get attacked and/or raped by demons", was his response which Kimberley was about to answer as soon as he said 'babysit' until she was stopped when he spoke of being attacked or raped as flashbacks of her brothers appeared which she blocked out by closing her eyes and turning away so her back was facing him, the only comforting feeling was the snuggle he felt from Minx before his presence then faded away, only to hear Dax again a few moments later, "I can't show my eyes. I don't care if you don't trust me 'cause of it. It's not happening", before hearing him grumble, "Minx...".

Kimberley merely sighed, "You said before, and I quote, 'I'm supposed to be the prince in charge of this princess', words that I do remember you saying. There is also a difference between charging over someone and babysitting, but if you really feel that this is a chore then why bother, but at least your being honest how you feel. The fact your here to protect me clearly shows I need protection and that I can hardly can have fun here, so why should I bother dressing and going out when I can merely stay in here, read, and wait for the portal to open when I will be out of your hair and you can go back doing whatever you do".

Her plan of course sounds good to her, but she also knew that she could not remain in here despite her unwillingness to go outside, especially since she didn't want to go out for the reason of what he was protecting her from, yet she needed to trust he would protect her when all he has been doing is criticise what she has left of her home and ordering her around like a slave. Is this truly how they treat their 'princesses' here. That reminded her about the other girls, so she only hoped that they were alright. Kimberley felt this place offered sanctity from the past she was running from, but it seemed that she had left one lustful lion in the form of her brother into a whole den of them.

The girl in the bed stated.

"Because it's boring as fuck in here." Dax said, a smirk on his lips. "What's the point in living if you don't take risks. Plus, the prince can protect the princess."
As if to prove a point, Dax took out some oddly shaped throwing knives a twirled them around in his fingers.

"Plus. It's not every day the Prince gets to show a princess around his home. Shishishi~" Dax added, his laugh deciding to join in as well. He actually was quite fond of the idea of having someone actually stay my his side more or less willingly. Most people would ditch and run at the soonest possible moment.

True the lands were a dangerous place. But if anything, Dax was the most dangerous of them all. He would never tell her that, but it was pretty much true. Dax loved blood and violence. When he was little he'd cut open his skin just to see the stuff. Granted he was never trying to kill himself, but no one told him not to do it. Though he now knows he can die, he still plays with his blood an a particularly rough day.

Kimberley Lane

Kimberley would usually try and give things a go normally, but when she was surrounded by all unknowns with the only guy for her to rely on was a guy who didn't care what came out of his mouth and had little regard for her, then it was foolish. He had spoke about how he was 'supposedly' in charge of her, or rather how he moaned about this and moaned about that, giving her the impression of how his so-called duty is a chore and how he could be doing something else, something that they could probably agree on. Sure the circumstances were not so good, but as she had told him before, that she couldn't trust a guy who could not at her straight in the eye. His response being "I can't show my eyes. I don't care if you don't trust me 'cause of it. It's not happening", which only served to increase her curiosity even more and being a major reason as to whether she goes or not, the answer clearly being no.

Dax clearly did not understand, but clearly he had no reason to by growing in this environment and no doubt could not sit down for five minutes or enjoy the beauty that nature gave them. Of course, she was here in this god-forsaken place, surrounded by winged creatures. If she didn't feel so vulnerable by being a young female like the others brought here, she certainly felt at a disadvantage already, as what the likelihood that this lustful demons out there could snatch her up and fly her away. Kimberley right now preferred the comfort of the indoors, despite her usual outgoing self that would of been more willing to get ready and go out, but she knew nothing about the guy that was her so-called protector.

All she had gathered so far was that he had little regard for how his words affected others, he was honest or rather brutally honest, he accepted the facts before him and just went with the flow, he got bored easily and obviously preferred the outdoors to the indoors as he commented on how boring it was. It is sad that when you read a book, you dive into another world, though she was in one already, a world that she didn't want any part of despite the world she left behind having little for her. Her parents were out the picture, Kieran certainly was kicked out the picture, and Yoh, well she didn't really know but she feared for the worst, yet on the grounds of his so-called duty, all she had was this big-head overshadowing her.

"What's the point in living if you don't take risks", he responded, clearly his motto in life, especially after he spoke about him protecting her as he took out some knives and twirled them around his fingers. Sure it was a bit of showing off involved by doing such, but it also revealed to her that he certainly knew how to use them by living in this environment. Could he protect himself? she reckoned so. Could he protect himself and her? He seemed confident. Against several guys at once? probably a bit arrogant in that regard, seeing as he merely wished to get out because he was bored. Could she trust this guy with her life? Honestly, she wasn't sure. Her experience so far had led her not to trust guys so much, she trusted her father but that went down the drain, and she trusted her brother even more so and that went pear-shaped and living her in the state she was in now.

Of course not all guys were bad, guys as gentle-hearted, kind and considerate as Yoh. Then there were guys like Dax who just took the mick as he commented and found amusing enough to laugh, about showing a princess round his home, a home that didn't seem to be good to look at, sounding like a run-down area back home where gangs ruled, where morality was the last thing on their minds. "I'm glad someone finds all this amusing", she commented, before responding to him, "I do understand your point that risk is necessary....sometimes, but there is a difference between risk and stupidity", before deciding to simply state his position, "Not only that and mean no offence to you, but if your going to take a risk with someone, you want to at least know about the person you are with, even better if you can trust them" and ending with a quite direct question, "You seem confident about being in a fight however, so what do you think of those types of guys?", very curious.

"I'm glad someone finds all this amusing. You seem confident about being in a fight however, so what do you think of those types of guys?"

Dax wanted to ask why she cared so damn much. He was so used to people twisting his story around, that no one really knew the truth but his family. And since everyone had their own version of his story, why bother telling it and trying to fix what can not be fixed. Who cares if you can trust people or not. Dax never did and he got along perfectly fine.

"If this is about my eyes again, you can forget it." Dax growled, all senses of joking gone from his face. Well... Half his face.
"And everyone know I can kick their asses. Not everyone's bad, sadly I'll admit. But there are a select few groups that... Resemble the... Mafia?... In your world. The prince finds them annoying, so when he sees them, they aren't seen again."

If she were to look into it, which Dax was hoping she didn't, it seemed like he was trying to keep his home safe from dangers. Dax had gotten used to being seen as the bad guy, so it was weird if he was told or seen as anything but.

She honestly and wholeheartfully believed that trust was highly essential in any relationship. Not that she was even thinking anything about Dax with how rude he was, but there were different kinds of relationships other than the most common love one between a girl and a boy, then there is the relationship between siblings, between parents and child, doctor and patient, professional and client. Each of the aforementioned were required to trust the other for any bond to form and this included the....body and the bodyguard, just like a butler and his master or a cupbearer to a King, as much trust is placed in the cupbearer as they ensure that any attempt to poison the King is thrawted, sometimes biting the bullet for the King also.

This place certainly seemed to not be very friendly from the looks of things, but she had been told something about this world of angels and demons where angels live in one place and demons in another, this place merely being the halfway point. The fact Dax was willing to protect her if anything happens was assuring, but she had yet to trust him if her life was on the line and she was expected to trust someone who was acting pretty much like a jerk, though a honest jerk at that. "If this is about my eyes again, you can forget it....And everyone know I can kick their asses. Not everyone's bad, sadly I'll admit. But there are a select few groups that...resemble the...Mafia?...in your world. The prince finds them annoying, so when he sees them, they aren't seen again".

He certainly came off pretty strongly and pretty rude, but from his outburst, she had gathered more. For one he was very sensitive about his eyes, only making her even more curious every time he doesn't let her as hiding such is like he did have something to hide. Such wasn't all that she had gathered, he had admitted that not everyone's bad but that guys like the 'mafia' were the type he doesn't like, the type he gets rid of, so was this the soft side of Dax? Ever since she saw Minx, she believed that he had a good side but couldn't quite put his finger on it, so maybe this was it, his rudeness and all that basically trying to keep up his image.

If he hated the 'mafia' sort, then he couldn't be such a bad person afterall. To admit, she was a little concerned when he said how not everyone's bad, but she passed it by and simply gave a smile in return. She wasn't going to drop the whole 'eyes' thing but she'd get there. She now had a goal to work on until it was time to go, so why not. "Okay I'll go out with you", before realising what she had said and quickly set things straight to straighten out this awkward moment, "As in I agree, to go with you, out there", before jumping out her mind and to avoid any more complications, took her clothes, her own clothes as she remained adamant in doing so, and walked quickly to the stand she could dress behind. As she did so, she then called back, "and I don't care if these are ugly to you either", before getting out her rosey nighty and begun getting in her own clothes which so happens to be a white skirt with a light blue top.

When she was running from home, she made sure she grabbed a few things. She never truly went extravagant as that was for all the pretty girls in school, all the cheerleaders and all the popular girls, not girls like her who studied and questioned everything. It's why she loved Yoh so much that he had seen past that, as sure the other girls were more prettier and more loud, more great to hang around with, but he had recognised what she had, what they did not. Coming from behind the screen, she reveals herself, before asking, "Is there a mirror somewhere, I know we're not going to a ball or anything, but my hair doesn't feel right".

Dax smiled a wide smile when she agreed to go out with him. Just... Not like that...

She went to go change, and all the while, Dax was sitting there not knowing what to do. It was weird knowing someone else dressing while he was still in there. But when she came out, Dax had to admit she looked kinda cute. "And I don't care if these are ugly to you either" She threatened, "Is there a mirror somewhere, I know we're not going to a ball or anything, but my hair doesn't feel right."

That was when Dax stood up to meet her. "Here," He muttered as he took one of his knives to fix her hair. He used the sharp point to take certain hairs and flip the to certain sides of her head, never once actually cutting her like she must have assumed. "There. Now the princess looks acceptable. Wait..." He said as minx handed him something. He didn't even notice the rodent leave.

He then placed a white rose clip in her hair, "Now the princess is beautiful~" Dax finished happily. He quickly turned away towards the window, and stood on the sill again. "You coming, princess?" He asked, holding out a hand for her to take.

Dax sometimes was one of those guys you just wanted to whack around the head, such a thought that had come to Kimberley now and then when he was being a complete moron. Nevertheless, he did have his moments and seemed to have a good side to him or she would of remained in bed, unbothered if he was bored or not. Apparently he didn't have any princely duties to perform, whether he neglected them or simply wasn't trusted with them, though he seemed to be taking the duty to look after her seriously, seeing as how he was willing to protect her despite how they disagreed on things and not exactly got on brilliantly.

A bit of fresh air would do all the world of good as her mother used to say, and though Kimberley loved to read and just relax especially in a place she knew nothing about, she couldn't help her curiosity and to take a chance as Dax had said. It was true that life wasn't worth living if you didn't take a chance, but she also was right that you had to trust the person you were taking the chance with, but she felt more comfortable even if he acted like a jerk from time to time. As she pulled out from the screen and told him she didn't care what he thought, she was waiting for him to say something but he didn't say a word, before approaching her after speaking of her hair.

"Here", he said as he approached her, her eyes widening as he took out her knife, closing her eyes as she felt him doing something to her hair which she hoped wasn't him removing it, but knew that if she moved it may make it worse, so she kept still and trusted he wouldn't while remaining on guard with their close proximity. It didn't take long till he pulled away, "There. Now the princess looks acceptable. Wait...", well he had certainly changed his tune when he had previously called her clothes ugly, before seeing Minx again and a pretty clip which made her smile a little as Dax placed it in her hair himself, before ending, "Now the princess is beautiful", before turning away.

It was a good job he had turned away so quickly since she felt her face from the heat that came from her cheeks to show she was blushing. Afterall, Dax had come across as a honest yet rude at times guy, so she believed that if she didn't look right he would say so, but to say she looked beautiful must be pretty genuine. Her hand lightly touched her hair, relieved that none of it was cut. It was too bad she couldn't see what he had done, but if he thought she looked good in her 'ugly human clothes' then she must look alright. "You coming, princess?", he then heard her say as he stood on the sill again with a hand stretched out for her.

Her head looked down as she walked forward to hide her red cheeks since she didn't know if they were gone or not as she spoke, "How many times, I'm no princess", she told him firmly. Touching her cheek again, it felt like they had gone, so she looked back up again to peer outside and looked below, immediately backing away and turning around with a shudder, "When I agreed to go out, I didn't mean to actually...go out...", wrapping herself with her arms as if protecting herself since she was not a fan of height, something that Dax may of gathered with her hesitation. Sure she'd take risks but jumping out of a high tower seemed far too much, so she was scared but she was more scared to admit it which is why she simply held herself and kept her head up so it looked more like a simple refusal rather than her being shaken by the idea, even if the latter was true and the fact she may of already given that impression away.

"How many times, I'm no princess" She denied, before looking at where he was, "When I agreed to go out, I didn't mean to actually...go out..."

Dax smiled, "Is the princess scared of heights?"
He looked out of the tower. It was a clean drop, but he did get up the damn thing. It would be much easier getting down. He got up, picked his "princess" up in his arms and jumped quickly out the window before she could protest. He shifted her to one arm while he used a knife to carve down the side of the brick tower, making them plummet slightly less as fast. He released the weapon when he was close to the ground and landed harshly on the ground, shockingly, not injuring himself too much. Only a slight pain throbbed from his joints.

He put the terrified girl down on her feet, playing a hand on her shoulder making sure she didn't fall over from the shock. "See, princess~ No harm done~ Ushishi~" Dax said, a smile beaming on his face. His smile faltered a bit, "The princess wasn't hurt right?"
