Death's Head here. Can't expect simple fleshling to get facts straight, eh? Better to tell you about me myself. Am a mechanoid who has taken up position of freelance peace-keeping agent. Best in the business. Have many weapons on-person capable of taking care of... disagreeables, yes? Best to hire me for all of your potentially dangerous needs.
So begins...
Death's Head's Story
Sam snorts, and begins polishing some glasses behind the counter. At the same time, the tavern door swings open again, and a mechanoid with horns, yellow armor, and a blue cape steps inside.
"I don't suppose anyone here is in need of a freelance peace-keeping agent at this time, hrm?" asks Death's Head to no one in particular as he heads for an empty table.

The TV now shows Moxxi at Cosmo Speedway. She is giving an announcement on live television.
"Hello people of Unita. I hope I didn't interrupt your little channel because I got big news to tell you. This year, I'm opening up the biggest destructive race that has ever known. I give you the Moxxxi Grand Prix. This grand prix will have five race tracks from five different planets, but each will have their own gimmicks. And let's just that they're quite hotter than you think. If you think you are confident to get behind the wheel and race for trophy and for cash prizes, then you better come over here. We are looking forward for a little death race or two... if you know how to survive that is..."
She winks in front the camera.
"So, come on down and join the race. But I won't guarentee that you will live for long."

"Cash prizes, eh?" says Death's Head, stroking his chin. "Interesting. May have to consider entering."
Dr. Y tries changing the channel, but since Moxxi is a bitch and interrupted literally ALL CHANNELS, this doesn't work so well.
Death's Head continues to contemplate whether or not to enter this upcoming race. While he did have a vehicle that he received as payment from a racetrack owner years ago (for sabotaging another racetrack, of course), racing wasn't really his thing. Then again, he did have experience chasing others--namely, most of his bounties. And, of course, that pile of victory money...
Even freelance peace-keeping agents deserve a break once in a while, thought Death's Head. Finally coming to a decision, he exits the bar.

The setting changes from Rotten Rabbit's Tavern to Cosmos Speedway
A blue and gold racecar arrives at the speedway, its top opening up to reveal Death's Head inside.
"This the Moxxi Grand Prix, yes?" he asks. "Name's Death's Head. Would like to sign up. Mostly for cash prizes."

"Well, what a coinkydinky - I'm-a competing for the cash-a prize a-myself!" Wario taunted. "But I'd like-a to see you compete-a with the four-time heavy-class-a kart-racing champ. Well...I guess this is-a your chance!"
"Phos, Lux, you two ready?" Pit said to the chariot's two unicorns. They seemed to respond with optimism. "Alright! Now let's do the Celestial Plain proud!"

"You're on, Wario!" Luigi accepts Wario's challenge, "We'll see who gets the money!"
While the bickering between Wario and Luigi goes on, the mysterious racer looks at Death's Head with a deep glare towards him. "Don't count on it," She said, "I will make sure that the money will be mine."
"Let's see... hmm...." The intern looks at the clipboard as he writes them down, "3... 4.... 5.... Ah.. 6 racers joining! Good... We still got room for maybe four to six more racers. Right then, racers. I will explain a couple of rules for you. Every one of you will have your own personal garage so you can customize your vehicle. The race will not start until Moxxi says so. You have a couple of minutes to make preparations for the race. If you do not arrive before the race starts, you will be disqualified."

A 1956 Oldsmobile drives into the speedway. How did it get there? Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to. Anyway, what's important is the man with a paper bag over his head that gets out of the Oldsmobile.
"I, QUENTEL THE KOOPA, LAWYER, MURDERER, AND NOW RACER, HAVE COME TO RACE!" shouted Quentel.

"Wooooooowwww." says Sockie, staring at Quentel's Oldsmobile in awe. "That car... SO BEAUTIFUL! YOU'RE MY NEW HERO!"
"Hrm, may be some serious competition after all..." says Death's Head in response to Wario and the mysterious racer.

A vortex suddenly opens up on the track, spitting out a ghastly car highlighted with various decorations - primarily bones and chains - onto the speedway, before it quickly closes up. At the helm of this new vehicle is, you probably guessed it, Ignacious; his right arm meanwhile covered with several layers of duct tape.
"Ignacious wishes to partake in this fancy race of wealth and potential DOOM, as well!" said he.

"Okay, the paper bag guy and the undead are now in," The intern speaks, "Four more and we will be all set. And I would feel pity if there is a late entry coming in."
"Am I late?!" shouts a Wheelie, suddenly spinning onto the scene and stopping near Moxxi. "Please tell me I'm not late!"
Just then, a blue hovercraft machine sped in, stopping just next to the others.
"Waaa - ! Mama mia, that was-a crazy!" Wario exclaimed.
The top of the racing machine opened up, revealing a man in a blue racing outfit, a yellow scarf, golden gloves, and a red helmet emblazoned with a golden bird on the front. "I hope I'm not too late," he said with a grin.

Sockie suddenly squeals very loudly, and runs up to Captain Falcon.
"Captain Falcon, I am your biggest fan! SIGN MY SHIRT!" he shouts.

"(!) ..." Captain Falcon was somewhat shocked by Sockie's sudden approach...but autographs his shirt anyway.
Sockie runs back into the Sock Train, and shows off his newly-signed shirt to Sockra and Brimstone.
"LOOK! I JUST GOT AN AUTOGRAPH FROM THE CAPTAIN FALCON HIMSELF!" exclaims Sockie. "I'll never wash this shirt again!"
"You washed it to begin with?" questions Sockra.
"Bah, who is this 'Captain Falcon'?" asks Brimstone. "Is he some sort of great destroyer of worlds?!"
"What? No, he's an awesome racer!" explains Sockie. "Jeez, you're weird!"
"LOOK! I JUST GOT AN AUTOGRAPH FROM THE CAPTAIN FALCON HIMSELF!" exclaims Sockie. "I'll never wash this shirt again!"

"Looks like nearly have enough racers. All of you will be in the garage until I say that it's time." Mad Moxxi winked, "Just remember, don't be late..."

Racer S nodded as she, Starlow, and Luigi walk to their own garages. Mad Moxxi is thinking about somebodybut it's not Sockie. "If you excuse me, I got to make a quick call. I just got an idea..."
