Myria Cray's Story

Kage sat in his throne, like hes been doing for most of the wars hes brothers and sisters have been waging on Daughtris. Of course no one really knew that Kage was the lost son of Vanesh, but he couldn't stand it to sit for much longer. The king sat on his throne while his wife was teaching his newborn to read. He look at her and smiled, Im not going to let anything happen to my family, i dont care how many people I have to behead to ensure their security. The king stood and yelled for his squire. The young snow elf squire ran in and kneeled before the king , "My lord" he said shyly. Kage replied in a commanding tone "Bring me the latest news of the war, and the latest of whats been going on in Lightwake" the squire nodded and ran off. Kage sat back in his throne and let off a deep sigh. His wife turned over with the child still at her feet, "Dont be so stressed my love, you that your sister can beat almost any army on this land." The king couldn't help but smile Myria is a great warrior and commander. The squire ran back in with a scroll in his hand "My lord, a town and a few villages in Lightwake were captured by Sylverana, she has been treating them like slaves, furthe-" the king cut off the squire "I need Myria in here. Now!" the king said in a loud tone. The squire kneeled and ran from the room. A moment later Myria walked through the front doors, she had her brown battle gear on, she was practicing. "You summoned me brother?" Kage picked up the scroll the quire placed on the table besides the throne and threw it at Myria, without saying a word Myria opened the scrolled, looked at it and closed it. "Right away brother" and just like that she was gone.

Myria was angered at the news she had heard, she knew that Sylverana was Kage's sister, and she also knew that none of Kages real siblings had any idea who he was. Myria made haste to the command room where she had a few of her generals assembled. She walked towards the giant hovering map in the middle of the room. She typed something and waved her hand over it, suddenly a red dot was blinking where Clearwake was, one of Lightwake's Towns. Myria spoke angrily "Sylverana took control of Clearwake, her stupid hovering castle now lays above what used to be a peaceful town. Reports say that Sylverana treats the people like slaves. King Kage has order us to retake the town with whatever force necessary." Myria walked clicked a button and lists of Ships came up. "Sylverana's floating castle is a strong fort, but it sure isnt an armada. We are going to load up three ships, two large destroyers and a carrier. We are going to mobilize ground troops, rangers and rouges are already making way to Clearwake via teleports. We are leaving in 10 When Myria gave commands no one could stop her, she had her mind set on taking back Clearwake and driving the castle from Lightwake.

after 10 minutes three large air ships were loaded and ready, ice and arcana cannon's loaded for a full assault. Myria's radio crackeld and one of her ground general's leading the ground assault spoke "Were in position commander, ready at you'r go" Myria walked to the biggest ship that was due to leave an stood in the hull. Infront of her open sky. "Take us up pilot" she told the main pilot and within seconds three air ships were flying towards Clearwake.
In about half an hour the the flying castle seemed visible, it was bigger then Myria had thought, "Jesus thats one big castle" she turned towards the radio and spoke to her ground general "Start the assault general" she turned to the man who was in charge of contacting other ships and commanding attacks "Fire a warning shot".

From her throne, Sylverana and Drakthron heard a strange loud boom coming from outside the castle.

"What was that?" Sylverana questioned Drakthorn

She gestured and turned on the holographic monitor in the middle of the throne room and to her surprise, 3 large Lightwake airships could be seen. Sylverana curved a sinister smile on her lips before she spoke

"Lightwake cavalry..." She murmured before she turned to Drakthorn "Send out the Cynderellas and Dusk Gargoyles... Strengthen the force field around the castle" She paused for a moment "Ready the castle's cannons"

"Yes, Lord" Drakthorn bowed and teleported away

Myria watched as the castle stood there, no movement was seen. The general spoke, "No reply my lady" he was clicked away at button endlessly. Myria looked the giant floating castle, what could possible take such a thing out of the sky? Myria turned to her General "I will give her one last chance to surrender peacefully, send a message, I would like to meet with the witch, peacefully before we start the attack" the general seemed nervous he bit his lip "My lady... that isn't the wise thing to do, we can blow that castle from the sky in a night" he said. Myria laughed That maybe so but i will give the witch a chance to surrender" the man bowed and clicked at his monitor, within seconds the message was out to the castle.

An echoing sound could be heard made by the holographic display. Sylverana turned her head to look at the screen and saw there was a message stating SURRENDER

"Surrender?" Sylverana read the message and laughed histerically.

She waved her hand and the holographic communicator attempted to contact the sender of the message. Sylverana waited for them to receive the call.

Meanwhile the Cynderellas and Dusk Gargoyles were already outside the castle. They hovered inside the castle's barrier while waiting for further orders. Drakthorn was hovering with them.

The general sat in his chair, suddenly the moniter started beeping, "A call from the castle my lady" he said waiting for a response. "Let it through- and tell the ground cavalry to wait for further orders he nodded and did as she said.

At Myria's side, the view of Sylverana's throne room is clear from their holographic screen. Sylverana smiled before she spoke

"Hello there, Lightwake troops" Sylverana greeted and paused for a moment "Straight to the point, I suggest you turn back to your metropolis before you all get killed"

Myria laughed at the thought of surrendering to an inferior commander or queen or whatever Sylverana looked at herself as. She looked at the holograph infront of her and spoke clearly, I will not turn back and let you torture innocents. Withdraw your demons from our town and we will not harm you. Sylverana, this is not a battle your going to win, we have 3 air ships and two infantry units on standby. This is your last chance." Myria turned off the hologram from Sylverana. She turned and faces a completely different screen one with troop numbers. The moniter was showing the following :

• Ground Ranger Unit - Bows and Rifles
• Ground Rouge Unit - Daggers, Knives, Short Swords, Bombs
• Ground General
• Two Air Ship Destroyer's - Equipped with Ice and Arcana Cannons
• One Air Ship Transporter - Simple Defense turret ( not a war machine )

She smiled, then turned to her radio and picked it up. "General, you may advance. Get your rangers in good vantage points to take down any flying creatures, and the rouges to clear the town from any enemies" the radio crackled in return "Understood" Myria was hesitating as she saw demons outside of Sylveranas castle, but she was sure her rangers would take care of them. She turned to the gunman " If her stupid castle doesn't move from that position in the next minute, fire the ice cannons. " She looked out her window waiting for an imminennt attack , "Oh and let Airship two know to charge the Arcana Cannons for Max"

Sylverana sighed and killed the communication with the Lightwake's cavalry.

"Drakthorn" Sylverana said through her comm "Release Cynderella and the Dusk Gargoyles. Strengthen the castle's barriers and brace for attacks from the enemies. When you have done that, fire the cannons at them"

"Understood" Drakthorn replied

In moments, Cynderella and Dusk gargoyles flew fast towards one of Lightwake's Air Ship Destroyer. The Cynderella shot rays of white light which are like laser beams that produces great heat and would melts through the ship. The Dusk Gargoyles started tearing and shredding the ship's exterior, hoping to get inside. Avalon's cannons shot the same ray of light Cynderella did.

They all attacked the same ship and plans to take them all one by one.

While descending, Airship #1 was severely damaged by the shot from Cynderella and Avalon. Large holes could been seen from side's to sides. The outer layer of the airship has been prodded by Dusk Gargoyle.

One of the Dusk Gargoyle started to jump in Airship #1 but was shot by the mini turrets coming from the town underneath. It fell down spiraling in pain, screeching.

Shots from Airship #1 and #2 could be heard. The arcane energy that came out of the airship's cannons going towards Avalon. Avalon kept strengthening it's barrier and casted another temporary layer of barrier on top of the already ready barrier. The shots from Airship #1 was successfully stopped but Airship #2 attacks were already charged and was powerful. A part of Avalon was shot.

"Shit!" Sylverana cursed, watching the battle from her throne room.

Avalon kept strengthening it's barrier.

Airship #1 was already in a severely damaged condition. Cynderella blasted another white ray of light towards Airship #1 while the Dusk Gargoyles flew out and descended to the ground, towards the bowmen and riflemen, attacking.

Sylverana's Brightshade Stalkers and Pillar of Plagues that were guarding the town beneath the castle started dashing towards the Ground General to attack him while the Nightarrow marksman started to shoot at him using their rifle.

Cynderella's white ray failed to pass through Airship #1's barrier.

The Ranger's attempt to dodge the Dusk Gargoyle's attack was successful but one of them was carried away and torn apart.

The Pillars of Plagues was stopped by the Myria's ground rogue. They couldn't reach Myria's Ground General so instead, they attacked what was blocking them. Some of the Ground Rogues dived away to avoid getting hit while some blocked the attacks. The only injuries that the ground rogue received was a staggered hands done by blocking the Pillar's of Plague's attack.

Sylverana's Nightarrow marksman also tried to shot at Myria's ground general but was intercepted by some of the ground unit. They successfully stopped the bullets and arrows.

Airship #2 started to shot at Sylverana's castle but was stopped by the castle's prepared shield and a quick casted second layer barrier. The castle continued to shield itself.

Lightwake's bowman and riflemen that was recently attacked by the Dusk Gargoyles started counter attacking. The Dusk Gargoyle split up and flew around spinning to avoid the shots. No harm was done to them.

Thanks to the help of his ground unit for protecting him, Lightwake's ground general successfully prepared his poisonous wasp and released it towards the Pillars of Plagues and Brightshade stalker. They attempted to ran away from the wasp but wasn't quick enough. They fell down, life seeping out of their body.

Sylverana's castle started to strengthen it's barriers once more.

The Dusk Gargoyle once again group together and flew down towards the bowman and riflemen that were shooting at them.

In the sky, Cynderella started to strengthen herself by collecting mana within her. When she was done, she blasted her light ray at Airship #1.

Sylverana's Nightarrow Marksman that were on the roof of houses started to shoot, aiming at the Ground General.

Sylverana's archers scattered. They leaped and dived away, evading the attacks from Lightwake's archers and general with great skills. None of the attack from the archers managed to hit them but Lightwake's rogues was quick enough to slash some of them dead. Sylverana's archers that managed to survive quickly surrounded the general and fired arrows at him relentlessly while running around him.

The Gargoyles quickly turned their body to hard stone as they saw the shots from Lightwake's rangers. Every attack that is thrown at them was nullified but there is a weakness, while in this state, they cannot move. Some did not change quick enough and took an arrow or two to their limbs. They fell to the ground in the state of a stone while the rangers shot at them, arrows bouncing off their skin and flesh. They quickly change back to normal but did not counter the ranger's attack. They flew high up towards airship #1 to tear it apart.

Lightwake's battle airship #1 fired Cynderella. Cynderella noticed them firing and quickly flew sideways to evade. She could feel the icy coldness produced as the shot missed her just by an inch beside her. She raised her hands forward and screamed while releasing yet another ray of light towards the airship.

Airship #2 attempted to attack Avalon once more. It fired at the castle but the barriers were able to stop every attack and quickly regenerated its force field once more.

Sylverana laugh while looking at the holographic screen in her throne room. She did not care for her soldiers lives and enjoyed watching Lightwake's forces as well as her's die in the process of the fight.

A smirk appeared on Sylverana's expression.

"Now destroy the other battle airship" She ordered her army through the holographic communicator

Avalon was casted more layers of barriers to itself. Suddenly, the castle's cannons shot at the Lightwake's ground general.

Lightwake's forces started to counter attack. The ranger's below shot at Cynderella using their mini turrets but missed by her quick flying maneuver. She looked up and saw Lightwake's airship #2 collecting energy in it's cannons. She quickly attempted to stop it by shooting a large ray of light at it.

Lightwake's rogues started chasing after Sylverana's Nightarrow Marksman and killing them one by one. The only the ones that managed to hide survived the rogue's wrath. There aren't many marksman left for Sylverana but they attempted to stop Lightwake's ground general from successfully preparing his attack.

The Gargoyles were flying around in the sky. They harden their skin to strengthen their defense. After a minute, their body started to constantly glow brighter while collecting mana for a quick and powerful attack.

An ice dragon spell was heading directly towards Cynderella and she saw it. It was too late to move so she braced herself for the attack. She managed to create a thin layer of energy coating that covered her skin before the ice dragon crash on to her and dissipated. Cynderella twirled twice and quickly regained control of her flight. She clutched her right shoulder while looking searching for the general in the town beneath. Blood trailed down her arm. Cynderella was losing her patients. Tiny glowing lights appeared around Cynderella. She was preparing for a powerful spell.

Meanwhile Lightwake's ranger's has strengthen the powers of their mini turrets and shot at the Gargoyles in the sky.

"Protect the charging gargoyles with Avalon!" Sylverana was starting to panic

The castle attempted to cover the gargoyles but was late. The charging Dusk Gargoyles was shot down. Some of them exploded instantly, spreading rocks everywhere. Suddenly Airship #2 shot at the castle. The castle's prepared barriers wasn't strong enough to stop the shot completely. The shot passed through and destroyed a part of the castle. The walls crumbled down to the town underneath and destroyed some houses in the process.

"Fuck!" Sylverana cursed "Strengthen the castle's barrier!"

The gargoyles went down to the town and started eating some rocks to strengthen themselves. After they were done, they flew towards Lightwake's rangers and cursed them with their mana to injure and return the ranger's strength to normal.

The archers started casting barrier spells around them to protect themselves. When the bariers was raised, they started shooting enchanted arrows at the rogues to slow down their movements and attacks.

As Myria stood in in the hull of Airship #2 she observed every single action of the fight, dying soldiers lay waste in the field below. Sylveranas army was preparing for another attack. Myria knew that she had to do something about the Cynderella that's doing so much demage in the sky. The Cynderella charged, although her soldiers tried to stop it they failed. No damage was done on Lightwakes troops and Myria was yelling orders. She was preparing to end this here and now.

Myria knew that the fight would either end with Sylverana retreating or Lightwakes Metropolis sending reinforcements, either way Myria or Kage for that matter were not going to give up easily.

Sylverana waved her hands in the air and Avalon casted a quick barrier covering Cynderella. It managed to stop the cannons attack from damaging her a lot but Cynderella was still staggered back a little. Fortunately, her preparation wasn't interrupted. The ground general fireballs spells didn't go far as the archers stopped it by shooting their enchanted arrows at it. Meanwhile, Lightwake's rangers were shooting repeatedly at the Gargolye. More arrows pierced in them and was stuck in their flesh.

The gargoyles started healing themselves by eating the stones and rocks on the ground. Up in the sky, Avalon started to glow brightly. A giant sigil could be seen rotating above it. Cynderella's charged light rays were ready, she unleashed them on to Airship. The archers started to shoot at the rogues.

The battle field was going up in flames, death and despair in every corner. Down below Myria could see that the ground troops and general are doing extremely well and are successfully eliminating everyone on ground. Up top was a different story. The Cynderella was was destroying everything it lay its eyes on. It seemed unbeatable. A few more hits would kill her but she seemed to be avoiding the lot. She charged an attack and fired. Myria's airship barriers didn't seem load up all the way, a malfunction of some sort and the ray of light blasted through the second engine. Panic was going everywhere, Myria grunted, and yelled ordered "Prepare to abandon ship!" she yelled loudly. She glanced at the castle who had been hit during the fight, suddenly it disappeared, teleported away. Within seconds crew and and members of the ship were in docking area waiting for the carrier, the carrier came by and everyone loaded one by one until there barely a soul left on the dying ship. The carrier flew away from the burning ship as it was hurling down at the earth. The fight was not over Myria would not let the Cynderella leave in one piece.
Down below the troops seemed to be untouched, the took care of the marksmen without any problem and had no problem defending against the gargoyles, they listened carefully for what might be the last and final attack. Myrias radio beeped, it was from the king, he spoke softly "Myria, if you need reinforcments, just say the word. I've got two airships on standby" she looked at her crew and the the place where the castle once stood "Wont be necessary"

All the Nightarrow Marksman that was placed in town to guard it had died in the battle, leaving only some Dusk Gargoyles and Cynderella. Cynderella has prepared a barrier to intercept any attacks thrown at her and prepared to teleport away with whats left of the Dusk Gargoyles. All lightwake's forces ignored the Dusk Gargoyles and started shooting at Cynderella relentlessly to stop her preparation. Some of the shots managed to pass through her barrier and grazed her flesh but did not managed to stop her from chanting her teleporting spells. A moment later, she finished. In a blink of an eye, the Dusk Gargoyles and Cynderella disappeared, leaving the dead behind.

The carrier finally descended into the ground. Medics started to pour out, they were everywhere, taking care of wounded soldiers as well as citizens. Myria stepped outside, the ground general approached her and spoke "Its over my lady, we've won", she looked at him, trying to hide her happiness "it may be so but how long will it be until there are others?" Myria examined the field, looking in every direction trying to figure our what had happened. The two airships were burning outside of town, more crew ran out of the carrier to try and calm the fire. The citizens were peering through their windows trying to figure our what had happened. Her radio crackled and a man spoke "All clear" he said. She smiled and stood in the town center, someone ran out and brought her a speaker and microphone. She spoke loud and clear. "We have won. There is nothing to fear, you can come out of your homes, your king has sent forced to your help, and we succeeded in driving Sylverana off." within seconds hundreds of civilians ran out of their homes, cheering and clapping. All hail the king they were yelling. Myria couldn't help but laugh. When the last of the wounded was on the carrier and the last soldier boarded myria was ready to leave. Looking back and what had happened. The broken airships were left in place, no doubt the citizens would create some sort of monument or building out of the broken ships. The mayor ran up to Myria, "Thank you my lady, everyone here thanks you." Myria looked at the man "Thank your king." she walked away then stopped "Your town is on the edge of lightwakes continent, King Kage is going to build defenses and send troops all around the outer edges of Lightwake. I hope you don't mind?" the man stuttered "No, no my lady! we will being to build homes for troops, no one will get inside light wake anymore." she nodded and walking inside the airship.

Entering the ship was followed by more clapping and cheering. Myria couldn't get her mind off something, where did Sylverana go? It didn't matter to her at the moment. People ran out of their temporary quarters with champagne and beer to celebrate the recent victory. Myria made a toast and the drank. They arrived in the capitol after about an hour, the carrier was slower then the airship. The radio crackled, "Prepare to board" the ship landed on the runway and engineers ran everywhere to see if there was demage to be fixed. The doors opened and Myria walked out, she was immediately greeted by Kage "Dear sister!" He laughed "Your victory i sure something to remember, Come, we have things to discuss" Myria followed him.

Kage walked and sat on his throne. There were a few people in the hall, he told them to being construction. He looked at Myria "Let me tell you what were doing, all around the outer edges of Lightwake were going to build outpost's, with gunners and cannons and the top of the towers, no enemy will enter Lightwake for as long as I live." Myria looked at him "I would've done the same" he looked at the contractors still in the hall and waved them off, they bowed and left. "Now for more pressing matters. I am going to announce my claim to Vanesh's throne today, announce myself as his son. I'm going to announce that there will be no more territory disputes, i'm prepared to take care of brothers and sisters. Oh and i'm going to send troops to aid with the destruction of bahamut.

After that a TV crew ran in, cameras and computers were placed on the throne. After a few minutes of preparations it was ready. A man at the console said that he would be able to hack the Daughtris TV's only for a short while, only until the end of the speech. Then a man yelled action and the cameras were on Kage. "People of Daughtris, you are all probably wondering why you're seeing me on today, I have an important message to announce. My name is Kage, King of lightwake. I'm here to announce my claim to Vanesh's throne for the reason of being his son." Everyone in the throne room were in shock "Today i have successfully fend off an attack by my sister, Sylverana. Furthermore, with this message i announce that the fight to rule daughtris will end today, i will personally take to it that my brothers and sisters are back to their town and everyone else is left alone. The next message is to the Avory ship. I will come to your aid, i will send my best commander, Myria, my sister. That would be all" He waved his hand and the man at the console said that in a few seconds the message will air all around Daughtris. Even in airships.

There was chaos in the throne room people ran all around doing various tasks for the king. The king made one final trip to bedroom. He hugged her. He smiled at her, it was a warm moment, one that might not happen again for a long while. She looked at him with tears in her eyes. He spoke softly and calmly "I'll be back before you know it. But its something i have to do." He glanced around the room looking at his children. He approached them and embraced them, the younger one was weeping. "Now you listen to your mom" he said as he walked back to his wife. He gave her one last kiss just as a steward knocked on the door. "Are you ready sire?" Kage looked at the scrawny steward and said "Yes" with a more harsh tone, to show authority. He gave one last look, "Listen to Syrion, hes one of my best." and like that he was off.

Myria was in the control room with dozens of generals. She was frantic at preparations. Kage was about to send off 5 destroyers, a bomber, and a few more carriers. The bomber and 4 airship destroyers will be going around driving back his brothers and sisters, while the last airship and a few carriers will go help the cause aboard the Avory ship. Kage made sure to leave lot's of power at the home metropolis for any attacks. The wall was going to be built as an extra precaution. Myria will board the ship being sent to the Avory ship and command those forces, while the king himself will lead any attacks with the fleet he commands. Soldiers boarded carriers and airship's, ranks of generals and cew boarded the bomber. There was chaos in the hanger, but also in the Control room.

After a few hours everything was ready to go, Myria and Kage met with Syrion, the general who is left to take care of lightwake. "Make sure my family is watched and no one gets through are borders." Kage said, "Will do my lord." The man replied and saluted his king. Myria and Kage walked to their selective ships, "Be carefull sister" he said as he was boarding "Oh brother, your the one to be careful!" she said laughing lightly. The first fleet boarded and flew off, Myria's ships waited until the fleet was gone to send off her carriers and single airship. Once Kage was out of sight Myria gave the signal, and they were off.

On Kages ship the destination wasn't clear yet, but he knew that it would take a day to leave lightwake territory. Myria left off in the direction of the Avory ship. Myria needed to get there fast, so she didn't mind exhausting the overdrive. She put the airship and carriers in overdrive and within an hour they were in view of the Avory ship. She spoke to whoever heard her on the giant ship in-front of her "Permission to board, reinforcements from Kage, King of lightwake" she waited for the permission.
