AGEXX Seventeen
SEXUALITYXX Bisexual
YEARXX Junior
D.O.B.XX March 14, 2002
HEXXX #9c82b3
HAIR COLORXX Blonde
EYE COLORXX Brown
Eppie is small, that much is immediately apparent. She's always been smaller than most people her age, and she's used to it; she always stands tall, with her chin up, ready to take on the world. She dresses pretty simply, mostly, plain colored pants, a nice shirt, a sweater if she needs it. She likes to look a little polished, but never wants to overdo it. She knows that if she wants to be taken seriously, she can't run around dressing like a kid, she gets enough flack for her size as it is. She nearly always does her makeup, preferring to keep it classic and simple, with the boldest thing she'll dare to wear being red or bright pink lipstick. She tries to keep her hair tamed; she usually starts the day wearing it down, but typically ends up throwing it up in a ponytail or a messy bun somewhere over the course of the day. As such, she always wears at least one hair elastic around her wrist, though she often wears multiples, just in case.
STRENGTHSXX
XXâ„ Self-assured: Eppie knows herself. She knows what she can do, and she never lets anyone tell her otherwise. She's always the first to stand up for herself, and the first to want to prove others wrong.
XX â„ Independent: Her parents never wanted her to rely on anyone, so they worked hard to give her the skills and confidence she needed to live life alone, if needed.
WEAKNESSES
XX â„ Stubborn: She is unwilling to sway even a small amount on things she believes in, and is often also completely unwilling to admit when she is wrong.
XX â„ Petty: While she doesn't have the quickest temper, when she's been angered she has a hard time letting it go. Expect sarcasm, cold shoulders, and a dropped rope if you've managed to piss her off.
FEARSXX
XXâ„ Worthlessness: Eppie is completely, utterly afraid that she will amount to nothing. As such, she tends to lash out after perceived (or real) failure, and reacts very strongly to humiliation.
XXâ„ Heights
SECRETS
XX â„ She doesn't believe in love: her parents fought constantly, and claimed to love one another, and look at where that got them. In a miserable marriage only holding on by a thread.
XXâ„ She has no idea what she wants to do with her life, which may come as a surprise- due to how driven she seems to be.
PERSONALITYXXX Eppie has been independent from an early age; preferring to be left alone to sleep as a baby, where many would have cried to be rocked and held. That independence grew into fierceness as she grew older, and she's grown to know just what she will- or won't- tolerate. While she does have her insecurities, she doesn't often let them show; preferring to put on a confident grin with her head held high. She's not particularly chatty, instead she's the kind of person who chooses her words carefully. Her parents taught her, rather indirectly, that every word you say will live on in a person's head and heart forever. In that way, she's become a thoughtful person. In other ways, it might seem like she doesn't care at all. She easily forgets birthdays, favorite colors, and everything else. If things don't directly pertain to her, she just has a hard time remembering them. She sometimes wonders if she's just a selfish person. Then again, she's not so sure a certain level of selfishness is really a bad thing. At her core, Eppie has an unwavering desire to make a real, tangible difference in the world. She just isn't sure how to do that.
HISTORYXXX Eppie's story, like everyone else's, began long before she was born. Her father grew up in Oakville, and after highschool graduation he went to college, and just never fully went back. He went straight for his master's and started teaching in the Midwest, where he met the love of his life; a passionate environmental geologist. They thought that together, they could change the world. Instead she got pregnant, they decided to go ahead and get married, and move back to Oakville, because it's a good place to raise kids. Even though they only had Eppie, they claimed to have never regretted a minute of it. Upon moving to Oakville, her mother was pretty quickly able to secure a job with the local water department. Her father probably could've found work easily enough, too, but decided to stay home and spend his days raising Eppie. She seemed to have had a fairly charmed childhood; parents who adored her, frequent adventures in the woods, a doting stay-at-home parent. But she heard the fighting, the slammed doors. She knows now that they got married too quickly, and "love" isn't enough to keep a family together.
As she grew older, she began to understand the world for what it is, and it sucks. Early on, she began to devote herself to causes that were import to her. Everything ranging from school bullies, animal shelters, to global warming, and women's rights, she's always proved to be willing to stand up and champion for whatever cause means something to her this week, and her parents have been behind her every step of the way; though, they did tell her that if she was going to be so obstinate, she better learn to argue efficiently. It seemed funny to her, because she learned to argue by listening to them.
When Eppie was younger, she struggled in school; dyslexia made it hard to stay on track with her peers, and it still puts her behind them in reading times, and occasionally in comprehension. She sometimes feels like she has to work twice as hard just to get the same outcomes as everyone else in her classes. She doesn't really excel anywhere, doesn't stand out. In a crowd, you might not even be able to see her, she just disappears. She knows a lot of people overlook her for the more gifted students, or the more sparkling personalities, but she works hard, and she refuses to be anything other than exactly who she is... Once she figures that out, anyway.
She's spent most of her life in and around the wilderness surrounding Oakville, and is extremely familiar with it. Her father often took her on hikes, little camping trips, and to look at the world around her. Her mother would take her "treasure hunting" on the weekends, and she often came back with new rocks for her extensive collection. Her parents taught her all they could about the plants, minerals, and geography naturally present in the area, and while she's grateful, she still doesn't know what good it will do her.
