★ Theme Song ☆

★ Personality ☆
Protective | | Sarcastic | | Headstrong | | Posessive
If you were to meet Sera, you'd find someone that's pretty hard to get along with. She enjoys arguing with people and picking fights - always shooting off her opinions and constantly giving in to her impulses. She's often chaotic and out of control and that's exactly the way she likes it. That's not to say she's stupid - Sera's the type to carefully consider her desires and come up with strategies to make sure she gets what she wants. It's hard to argue against her and it's hard to try to resist her once she's made up her mind. You can try, of course, but most likely Sera would find a way to overrule you and make you feel stupid for even trying.

To her friends, Sera's a little different. She's still wild and emotive, but she's also fiercely protective. Serafina's the type of person to hold her few trusted people close and defend them to the end, even if it means death. She's incredibly devoted to the few people in her life that she likes, and you couldn't ask for a more loyal friend. If she were to ever fail a friend, Sera would be the first to want to kill herself as punishment. Of course, this tender and caring side of her personality is hidden carefully under sarcastic quips and sadistic jokes. Most people wouldn't even know it exists, and that's just the way Sera likes it.

Deeper down, Sera's someone with a great fear of abandonment. She can't handle having the few people she cares about leave her - whether by choice or forced - and will do anything to keep them together at any cost. She's clingy and obsessive but hides it under a need to protect, knowing that everyone would hate her if they knew her real self. As such, Sera's unintentionally built up walls separating her from most people - walls to keep people out just as much as to trap others in. She's addicted to fighting and killing - it's the only way she can find her self worth. Betray her, and you're going down, but befriend her, and she'll never let you go.

★ Bio ☆
Serafina Kerry always had an affinity for fire. So it was particularly good for her that she was born to Alexander Kerry, one of the chief scientists under Royga Ten for weapons research. Where most children would have a loving family and be slowly introduced to the world, Serafina was used as a guinea pig for prototype weapons, eventually having something called a Combustion Module implanted into her wrist, with a bracelet to hide the bulge under her skin. She had a very high affinity for the device and it quickly became like a fifth limb to her. Of course once it became known that the device lowered one's life span, they had to modify the Combustion Module to instead be an outer-device used by the soldiers as they were sent to war. Unfortunately for Serafina, they didn't bother to replace hers. She was always kept keenly aware that she wasn't expected to live past twenty-five, and she never really cared, either.

Of course, once Sera reached a certain age, she was allowed out in the public. She was too useful as a compliant tool than anything else, so instead of sending her to war, Kerry grew interested in seeing how she could adapt to being in normal society. As such she enrolled in school and naturally excelled in pretty much everything, especially in learning how to fake a personality that others would enjoy. Sera pretty quickly became skilled at pretending to be something she's not - hiding her obsession with fighting with a typical "jerk with a heart of gold" facade. On the other hand, Sera never learned how to be gentle or tender, and when she grew attached to someone, she got uncontrollably possessive, as if she were starved for normal human interaction.

Still, Kerry slowly began seeing his daughter as less of an experiment and more as a daughter. So he started to try rehabilitating her and even considered removing the Combustion Module but discovered that it had become too firmly ingrained into her nervous system, and would paralyze her entire left arm if they tried taking it out. Sera was, unfortunately, resistant to the new type of parenting - as in, any parenting at all - and she killed him completely by accident. The other scientists decided that she was a liability and had her set to be put down, resulting in her lashing out and killing them all in a fire. She spent the next few weeks holed up in the research facility, avoiding her friends from school when the Great Smoke hit. Worried for her friends, Sera waited until the noises stopped and went to search for them, finally finding a place where maybe she'd belong.

★ Romantic Interest ☆
None yet.

★ Special Skills ☆
☆ Mass Ignition | Sera lights up a whole area on fire, dealing lots of damage and creating cover for her allies to escape if in a pinch.
☆ Speed Boost | By shooting fire behind her, Sera can increase her speed and damage enemies giving chase.
☆ Low Maintenance | Sera can run on less food/water/sleep as most people through vigorous training and conditioning.
☆ Combat Awareness | Sera is very aware of things that happen around her in order to protect someone in a fight.
☆ Fearless | Sera couldn't care less if she dies, so she has no reservations when in combat.

Image

★ Thoughts on Last President and Current Situation ☆
Serafina was taught to respect and trust in Royga Ten, since he was the leader of the country since she was born. Personally, she wondered why it was worth trusting someone like him who sent people to fight rather than fight battles himself. When the zombies rose, however, Serafina was actually pleased. She enjoyed her new freedom and found that fighting and killing zombies was a way to show the world that she was worth something - that there was something she could excel in.

★Likes ☆
☆ Fighting | Nothing gets her blood running quite so fast!
☆ Arguing | It's fun and exciting!
☆ Lollipops | It helps with her chronic dry mouth!
☆ Small animals | They're cute and must be protected!
☆ Singing | But only in private, okay?
☆ Maniacal Laughter | It makes fighting even funner!

★ Dislikes ☆
☆ Rain | It ruins her attacks and makes her weaker!
☆ Abandonment | Friends are supposed to be forever!
☆ Her height | It's not her fault she looks like she's twelve!
☆ Boring people | Is it that hard to be a little exciting?
☆ Pity | Don't look down on her, dammit!
☆ Apologizing | I-i-it's not like she meant it or anything, hmpf!

Morning as usual; or so he believed. I was extremely rare to see the morning sun beyond the greenish grey smoke clouds in the sky. Blade sat up from his sofa mound of scattered blanket sheets and pillows. He looked over to his sister who he insisted to sleep in the bed. She looked so peaceful. It was nice to know that at least in her dreams she could live the happy life she wanted. After a long deep breath, he stood up and began to prepare himself for the day.

After washing up and getting dressed, he began to prepare a small breakfast. Everyone underground had food rationed every week and what they were given had to last them that week exactly. If they ran out, unfortunately, more couldn't be provided from The Walkers. However, the remaining survivors were quite friendly and were not against sharing among others. It's nice to know spirits could be so lifted and greed couldn't consume their lives. Blade always secretly gave his sister a large portion of his food. He would prefer if she ate properly and if he had to skip a meal or two, it's for the best. After placing the place of breakfast on the table for her, he grabbed a small snack and took his bag of supplies.

Today would be as usual. The team would gather near the entrance of the underground civilization, discuss their tasks and depart until the signal to return would be given in a few hours. Depending on what group was doing what, the task was often split between three squadrons. Most of the time the task of riding the undead was given to the strongest team, followed by the job of scavenging any supplies and food to the most observant and the search for survivors to the team that was lacking the previous day.

He placed the cigarette into his mouth letting out a small sigh. Since he couldn't just go out and buy them, he often made one last an entire day. It took a lot of control to do that but he would surly keep an eye out for any smokes along the way. Blade approached the iron gates. The groans could be heard above and each time he heard that, it gave him chills. He placed down his bag looking over everything. Inside everyone's pack was a gas mask if a cloud were to pass by, water, small snacks, flare guns for the signal to leave, communicator, matches, compass, map of the city and small containers if they were to find fresh water that wasn't bottled.

He lit his cigarette and sat down on a large stone as he waited for the team to assemble.

❝I'm so ready to burn some zombies up, so let's go and fight already!❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#d62e28

Sera was annoyed. But, honestly, did you expect anything other than annoyance when she woke up and realized that there were no hard candies left in the storage for her to suck on? Idiots, she was the one that went out and killed things, and yet others stole her loot? How frustrating, how annoying! Everyone knew about her chronic dry mouth, xerostomia or whatever they called it, one of the side effects of her Combustion Module implanted into the palm of her hand. More than just some tech thing, it was heavily integrated to her nerves, feeling like and acting like a fifth limb, fully under her control. Except, well, when emotions ran high. And a Sera without her candy was very angry indeed - a spark of flame, a click, and then a stream blew out. Sera let out a startled yelp, quickly shutting the fire off with her mental command, sighing. She'd need an extra bottle of water for today's mission, then, wouldn't she?

Honestly, it was such a hassle. She worked best with candy and sugar - how was she supposed to keep precious Kasumi-chan safe without it? Though truth be told, she was usually working alongside the leader, Blade, more often than not - Kasumi-chan was instead with that robotics guy, Anders, right? As the second in command, Sera was often awake earlier than most, and that did nothing to stop her bad mood from growing worse.

"Alright, who was it?" Sera growled menacingly, loudly. She wouldn't just let some stupid kids get away with stealing her candy, that was ridiculous! Why didn't they go and fight, then, huh? And then Sera heard it, that little snicker in the corner, that scampering of feet. Honestly, did anyone really think they were just gonna get away that easily? Sera bolted to her feet in the direction of the laugh and found a little girl with a devilish smile on her face, wearing raggy clothes but still shone with the impish innocence children seemed to have. "Ah, c'mon, I totally thought I got away this time!"

This was Yuka, one of the girls Sera personally saved on a previous mission, bringing her back to base. She was an orphan, like many people were, and seemed to develop a liking to the fire girl. In truth, Sera was fond of Yuka too, and would be happy to keep the little snot safe. Except on days like this, of course. "Yukaaaaaa." Sera hissed menacingly, lifting the child up by her collar. "Don't. Ever. Take. My. Candies. Got it?" Yuka nodded, giggling, knowing there was no real danger. Sera sighed, putting her back down, knowing she'd definitely do it again just for kicks. It happened so often Sera couldn't keep count anymore.

Anyways, there were more important things to worry about, as Yuka scampered off to play with the other children. The team was supposed to assemble for another mission, and the fire girl was very excited to re-enter the fray. More than candy, and almost as much as Kasumi-chan, Sera loved fighting. It was her one real skill, and her favorite pasttime. Hell if she'd ever miss an opportunity to go hunt for zombies. So she made her way to the gates, spotting the leader, Blade, hanging out, already with a cigar. Sera waved to him with a little grin, still annoyed at how much taller he was than her.

"Yo." Sera said cheerfully, shoving her hands in her pockets, bag full of the necessities slung over her shoulder. "That brat, Yuka, stole the last candy again, so we're gonna need to get more. Hope that's not a problem, Hendrix."

Every morning starts with a ritual. Animals awaken by dawn to find water and food. People used to wake, shower, wash, and eat before they departed for whatever career or occupation allowed them to keep their ritual.

Even in abandoned, desolate, Kokkua. Everyone still has their rituals. One of the few ties to their previous lives, perhaps. The quiet alarms (for loud noises were dangerous in this new world), the meager meal (for food was often scarce in this new world), and the morning commute (at least that never changed).

Like a skipping record, Anders found himself once again walking towards the familiar gates a little late, as usual. Over one shoulder, a large backpack, mostly empty, and carrying all of the usual save for three new additions; a trio of metallic discs hung upon the back, tightly secured so they don't clang about with every step. And in his hand was the familiar weight of his rifle - if the large, obscenely unwieldy weapon could even be called such, boasting the strength to tear through nearly any obstacle.

Already there were three of the loudest members of their little ensemble. Blade, Youta, and Sera. He gave a nod to the first two, and he addressed the latter, "Sera, Sera, Sera. I heard the most horrific thing walking down the hall." He said, taking a falsely exasperated seat. "I think - correct me if I'm wrong - I caught glimpse of some terrible, fiery demon terrorizing a poor little girl - Yuka, right? Who do you think could have done such a thing?" His words ended with a lilting, teasing note, as he jammed a thick cable into the bottom of his rifle, causing an electric cackle somewhere within his pack.

"You need to move faster." A voice ordered. Kasumi jumped over a wooden spear as it jabbed at her legs and she countered with a jab of her own.
"Faster." The spear came again from the side this time and she ducked, the perfect angle for a low jab.
"Again." She felt the air stirring above her and rolled to her right just as the echoes of the spear hitting the floor bounced off the empty walls. The swishing wind told her the attacks weren't over yet and she got to her feet, giving her just enough time to jump once again as the spear jabbed at her legs.
"Good." A warm hand patted her on the head and she looked up with a smile.
"I got better, right?" She grinned.
"You need to move faster." The voice became distorted and she glanced up to see a face whose skin had begun rotting away.

Kasumi shot up and glanced around at her sleeping friends.
"Damn... I fell asleep..." She mumbled, glancing through small cracks in the ceiling to see the sky. Judging from the position of the clouds and sun since the last time she looked, she had only been asleep for about 20 minutes. She stood up and rubbed her eyes as she began walking towards her small pile of belongings. It wasn't much, just her modified spear, a single change of clothes that she kept clean at all times, a bag that all walkers were given, and a sniper rifle which wasn't much use without a silencer- which she had yet to get her hands on.

She picked up her bag and spear with a small sigh, habitually walking towards the same place she went every morning - the iron gates. Even if there wasn't a mission, she still liked to examine what was happening in the outside world, or at least what she could see of it. She stared at the ground while she walked, thinking over her dream. It was usual for her to have nightmares during the few times a night she slept, and every time she woke up feeling the same. Groggy and absent minded. She always assumed the nightmares were a sort of panic effect from her body thinking she might be dead instead of realizing that it was asleep, but she could only guess. She shoved her hand into her pocket and heard a small crinkling sound, knowing immediately what it was - a small hard candy, something she had picked up and saved for Serafina. She smiled a bit thinking of her closest friend. Serafina would always scold her for acting so sullen in the early morning and Kasumi quickly knocked herself out of her morning daze as she began walking faster to the gates.
"Look at that... for once I'm the one that's late." She mumbled to herself as she spotted four other members there, including Sera. Kasumi tossed the small piece of candy to Sera as she stood beside her.
"Goodmorning, guys." She nodded to Youta, Blade, and Anders.

The morning started dark, before slowly the light filtered in from presumably the sun, and it was nice, to see the sun rise through the smoke that poisoned the city into the way that it is now. Just reality one may guess. Of course, Rei was already awake, having been on watch half-way through the night before, Rei had already been at the meeting point, though up a little higher, ensuring that she could both see the area, and remain hidden from those pesky bandits. Though as she sat, yawning slightly, she noticed Blade, with his normal supplies for the others whom would roam the world above, where humanity both died, and walk again, remaining quiet she watched, as the normal routine had taken place, packs thrown down, cigarette lit, and bum on a large rock, just like any morning for Blade. As the stillness choked the air, a little fire-starter had shown up, Sera, or as Rei called her; "Hellion", whom had been annoyed already, spouting something about hard candy, knowing Sera liked them, Rei tended to get hard candies for her, anything that'd make the girl settle down for a bit. The next one to enter, was Rei's teammate most often, Youta, or, as Rei calls him, "You", whom just came up grinning, talking about a lazy morning of some sort, Rei, being as observant as she is, honestly couldn't care about what he said after that.

While she almost secretly prepared to move out, Rei noticed another of her allies, Anders, someone whom she admittedly looked up to for his skills, and especially his weapon, she thought that his weapon was interesting, and flat out awesome when in combat, since as far as she knew, it often didn't need silencers like hers do. Though finally wrapping up the party was, surprisingly Kasumi, whom had acknowledged her lateness. And at this point, Rei nodded to herself, dropping gracefully from her perch and looking at the others, even speaking a little, to especially Blade, whom she deemed would care about a little report, "Outside of Hellion over there, quiet night, no disturbances" she said before taking her pack, and taking a breath, no good morning or any other greeting that could be heard, but Rei stood, watching her allies ready to handle anything that she may come across during the scavenge.

Youta kicks a rock impatiently, the stone doesn't budge, and neither will us survivors Youta thinks. If anyone believes in the power of the humans and the walkers it' s Youta, he has hope and faith that something good is right around the corner. It might be a false hope but Youta doesn't think that's an option. The Blonde decides to check on his own supplies and takes out the piece of bread to finish noshing on it.
Youta turns from blade as the others join, Kasumi, Anders, Sera, and Rei. Youta flashes a toothy grin towards his silent partner. "Hey Rei, good morning to you. Are you ready with those guns of yours? I think we'll see some action today, I mean if Blade gives us the chance." Youta shields his words from the strong leader though speaks loud enough so everyone can hear purposely. Youta is definently the least combative or strong member but he definently has his perks and personality. The blonde bounces around as the others get everything in order, Youta may seem like he doesn't take anything seriously but he does, it's his antics get in the way. He already has everything in order including his saber, a gas mask, and some utility items that should help should their passage be blocked and they need to camp out. He sets his rather heavy pack near the seat of the gate. Walking over to Blade with another toothy grin displayed, he gives a mock salute. "So what can we do today sir?" Youta and Rei are new but they are very capable, Rei can kill Youta can talk like they make up for eachothers weaknesses. In waiting for a response the blonde shoots a look at Kasumi, a soft and brief look but a rather obvious one. Youta breaks the gaze before Kasumi catches on, returning to look at Blade with an eager puppy face.

As the group began too gather, he smiled lightly. Sure they weren't the most punctual but they were like a second family to him. He took a final huff before rubbing the bub of the cigarette against the rock. He let out a soft yawn before placing it into his pocket. As he listened to Rei, he couldn't help but feel confused. She didn't really have to do this but she insisted and he couldn't tell if this was some sort of tactic to get on his good side and get some sort of promotion. He wouldn't worked. "Why thank you Rei." He said in his usual swave voice. Most women got that.

He hopped off his rock and grabbed a hold of his bag and sword before smiling at Youta's question. "Well as you all know we divide the daily duties depending how the teams did previously. Now it seemed pretty even really so not a lot of flaws. Which I like to see. So for today, I'll assign differently. Squad 3, I'd like for you to be on Kill duty today in down town. Subordinates say they have been a massive increase in the sworms there and this seems like the perfect test for our newbies. Of course, that just means you have to be all the more careful."

He wasn't against trying new things or assigning tough jobs to new people.

"Squad 2, today we have a special mission for you. We have been getting strange signals from the business district. People believe it may be survivors trying to contact us but they might be trapped at the top. I'm sure those damn zombies had them cornered up there and they had to barricade them out. So, your on rescue duty." He smiled. "Coming from you two, I don't expect failure."

He then cleared his throat and looked to Sera. "As for you and me Sera, were heading back into the suburbs to try and find anything we can get our hands on. Medicine, water, food; whatever. But, as you may know, the clouds over there are pretty dense. So it will be hard to spot any of those damn zombies around there." He smiled and playfully poked her head. "But if we do spot them, I'll be sure to let you burn them to a crisp."

He gave a small nod before looking to everyone. "Alright everyone. I'll give the signal in 2 hours tops. Be sure to keep an eye out for the white flare. Remember, if your in danger, just call on the communicator and we'll come for ya. Got it people?" He then approached the gate and reached for the key around his neck opening the lock. "Alright let's get to work."

❝I'm so ready to burn some zombies up, so let's go and fight already!❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#d62e28

Sera stared angrily at Youta, deciding to ignore the slime for the time being. She found him annoying,a pest - Kasumi was her best friend, no one else's! He didn't have the right to go and butt his head in like that. It only got worse when Anders came and taunted her about what she did to Yuka. What? Yuka deserved it for trying to steal her candy - for always trying to steal her candy. The pyromaniac glowered at the robo tech guy, regarding him with a sour expression. "Keep that up and I won't let you examine my Combustion Module later." Sera said with a scowl. She was interrupted from her bad mood when Kasumi-chan arrived and Sera spontaneously thanked her for the candy with a nice big mix between a hug and a tackle, running and wrapping her arms around her lavender-haired best friend.

"Suuuumi!" Sera giggled, enjoying Kasumi's warmth. Yeah, she'd never let anyone take her away, never ever! "Don't be late next time, it makes me worry, got it?" She tried to make a stern voice at the end, but it was hard to sound menacing when your voice was muffled by candy. Sera shrugged, figuring her message got across when Rei approached, giving her another candy. Sera grinned at the usually quiet girl, tossing her a friendly thumbs up. Hopefully Rei would talk to people more, Sera really wanted to see the woman get along with everyone and -

Oh no. Oh hell no. Kasumi might not have noticed, but Sera certainly saw Youta's over friendly glance aimed at the lavender-haired girl. She hugged Kasumi again, possessively, and shot Youta a dirty look. There was no way he was taking her best friend from her. The game was interrupted when Blade made his proclamation of the team set up - Sera was a little sad she wasn't on kill duty, but shrugged. Scavenging through the suburbs was fine too, that way she could ensure the candy stockpile went back to full.

"Gotcha, Hendrix." Sera said with an eager, excited grin. She was ready to go - and hell, if some zombies wanted to crash the party, she was more than willing to burn them up! "Oi, Anders! If Kasumi comes back with a scratch, I'll burn your electronics, okay? Keep her safe!"

With that, Sera pushed open the gates, heading in the direction of the suburbs. She tested her Combustion Module, enjoying the heat emitting from it. She waved her arm a little, making a tiny flame that danced as she moved, with a delighted little smile. She stuck her tongue out at Blade as she walked slightly ahead of the leader. "The elders say we're in need of more meat, and some of them are getting sick, so medicine's a priority. Just in case you wanted to know, boss."

"Okay, I wont be late again." Kasumi smiled at her friend.

Kasumi acknowledged Rei's appearance with a polite nod as the girl descended from somewhere along the ceiling. She often saw Rei here when she came by, but could never figure out exactly how she got up there, or where she went once she was up there. Kasumi couldn't help feeling a very slight twinge of jealousy every time she saw Rei, bitter at the fact that she could go somewhere Kasumi couldn't, but was careful not to let the feeling become anything more than a passing thought. Kasumi thought of everyone as her friend, after all. She turned her attention to Blade as he broke down the days work and told each team where they would be heading for their mission.

"A signal from the business district...?" She said mostly to herself. She had some vague memories of that district but never had a reason to venture any deeper than the outskirts, let alone memorize the city layout there. It was a blank slate to her, and an excited feeling tingled in her chest. She could finally go somewhere new, fill in one of the blanks in her mind about the city's layout. She turned her gaze to Anders, wondering if he knew the area.
"Do you think one of your machines could pick up the signal inside the district?" She asked, knowing how much he loved his machines, and how much she loved to watch his machines work. She blushed slightly as Sera threatened to burn his electronics if she came back with a scratch.

"Come on, Sera. Have I ever come back with so much as a wrinkle in my clothes?" She crossed her arms.
"But I appreciate you caring for me. We'll both come back without a scratch, right?" She grinned to her friend once more before hearing the beautiful sound of a lock clicking open. Kasumi looked to Anders expectantly before moving. Even though they were technically equals, she respected his decisions as an adult with two more years of experience than she had.
"I know the safest route there, but once were inside we cant rely on my sense of direction." She stated. She pulled her bag up, over her shoulders and glanced back inside the underground sanctuary, mentally checking things off to make sure she didn't forget anything.
"Oh, and one more thing." She held out a single finger to Anders as a thought popped into her mind.
"If we so much as even glimpse a silencer, I'm going for it. No way am I going to let you show me up as the better marksman on this squad." She declared with a small laugh.

"You don't really mean that, Sera. After all, if I don't take a look at it, how would you be able to change the color of that fire of yours?" Anders said, standing up and stretching languidly, slipping his pack on as Blade started to give each team their own assignments, with him and Sera scavenging, Youta and Rei on the ever-so-enjoyable duty of mass slaughter, and himself and Kasumi to search for survivors in the business district.

Of course, he's been there before, but he's only really familiar with those streets through the tinted glass of Kokkua's automated transport. Even after all that's happened, those skyscrapers must still look just as imposing. Perhaps more. He turned towards Kasumi, "They could. It won't be a great connection, but it'll help us get close enough to where I could pick it up myself. Of course, I couldn't do that if Sera burned everything I owned, so - er, don't do that, please." He said.

Anders took a slow breath, tugging a stray wire on his rifle, making sure everything was in place. "Once we're inside, as I said, we'll be close enough for these little scrap heaps to pick up on the signal. So don't worry about any sense of -" He said, interrupted by Kasumi's finger suddenly occupying his view, and her sudden request for dibs on any silencers they see.

"Oh, you're afraid of me showing you up? Have I gotten that good?" He said, a giggle almost hidden in his words, "Well - Kasumi, in that case, no silencer can save your rank now! Best give up, you know, it's only a matter of time!"

Running a hand through his hair, Anders' merriment sobered to a small smile as he added in a lower tone,
"Alright, though. Any silencer we find is yours - not like I could fit one on this monstrosity anyhow. Now, come on. Let's get going." He prodded her arm with his elbow, starting to walk outside the gates. "Shouldn't be a long walk - I think I can manage to get the old tram to work this time."

Rei listened, as Youta tried to be, well, himself first. As she listened she noticed his long glance at Kasumi, it was obvious now, that Youta had interest on Kasumi, and the way he went about it in Rei's opinion, was like he was in a romance anime at the start. Yet, Rei wasn't the only one whom noticed, Sera did as well, whom as per normal from what Rei's seen, acted possessively with Kasumi, as if she were shooting down the poor fool. Moving along Blade had spoken, with the day's duties, Blade and Sera were on scavenging Duty in the suburbs, while Kasumi and Anders investigating in the business district, and her and Youta were off to try and lessen the numbers of the dead. Taking note of what Rei was doing, she switched out her munition supplies, taking up Silencers rather than gleamers and a few normal bullets. Though she looked at Sera again, whom threatened for Kasumi's safety at the cost of Anders' electronics, while Kasumi wanted a silencer for some reason, Anders was more or less skirting around their attacks, though Rei looked at Youta, her sharp, crimson, eyes looking at Youta, and spoke, a little quieter, since she wasn't a loud person in general, "To get Downtown, we'll take alleys and side streets. They're less populated than taking the main streets, and less destroyed, since there were less people there at the time." she then turned to Sera, and spoke to her, her volume not being loud again, "Sera. If I find any candy machines of some sort, I'll go on and loot it for you. I doubt I'll find anything, but, worth a shot."

Youta nods thoughtfully at the duties of others, rescue, salvage.. And to his surprise third squad on kill duty. One of the other squads usually handle the task, still Youta is confident that they will do well. An opportunity to prove themselves. Youta notices Rei noticing Sera noticing Youta notice Kasumi, God is everybody against me going after Kasumi. And the. The gates creak , sera and Blade leave, but before Kasumi leaves Youta calls out to her. "Good luck Lue, you to Anders." He waves them off with a grin and turns to Rei as she speaks. Rei os right, avoiding trouble until they reach the destination is probably for the best. "That's totally right, so we should get going I've got all I'll need. Third squad move out." Youta is still as playful but he is speaking more at Rei's level now. The blonde walks a bit ahead of Rei as they near their destination, skirting allies and navigating backstreets as was agreed upon. Youta stops walking in one of the allies. "Hey Rei I know you probably don't like me that much, I mean I'm just so loud. Anyway what do you think of Kasumi and I? I've known her from school and I know you saw me looking at her this morning. God Youta stop rambling, what I mean to ask is if I'm doing alright in pursuing her under the circumstances." The blonde fiddles with his blade nervously looking at the ground, not used to talking like this with his partner.

He nodded to the others before he and Sera were off. "We should take the truck in case we get a big haul today." He said as they began to pass the gathering of vehicles. He hopped into the jeep and started it before motioning for her to join him. "Meat huh? Yeah I'll be sure to keep my eyes out for any cows. Though I know that during the world war times, they were able to can meat-like things. I hear that if it's cooked right, you can't even tell the difference."

He laughed a bit as he began to drive down what use to be the streets. It was barely noticeable anymore. Piles upon piles of dead bodies were around. It was surely frightening and probably sickening to those with a light stomach. He whistled slightly as they ventured from neighborhood to neighborhood. "The store is somewhere around here. But it's too quiet so keep an eye out for any walking meat piles." He then rubbed his chin. "Say~, do you think zombie tastes good? Like if we fed it to old people, would they notice? Is it even cannibalism?"He laughed a bit.

❝Grr, I wanna team up with Sumi one day...❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#d62e28

Sera looked at her Combustion Module, allowing it to burst a tiny flame that she easily blew out. It was red, of course. How interesting would it be if she could have different colors for different occasions? It was certainly an interesting idea that she'd have to run by Anders later - though it was probably a silly thing to think about, considering using fire literally ate away at her lifespan. Last time she checked, she was slated to die at around twenty-five years, and well... Sera's been using much more fire since then. She wasn't really afraid to die or anything, that was never a concern. But now that she had a job, and responsibilities, such as protecting cute sweet Sumi from that lecher, Youta, Sera didn't want to suddenly drop dead just yet. She'd have to ask Anders if there was a way to fuel her fire without harming her body, but for now, that would have to wait. There was candy to retrieve after all.

The fire girl stared at the leader with incredulous eyes as the two drove down the streets that lead to the suburban district of Kokkua. Was it even safe to eat human flesh? Sure, they could cook it and stuff, but Sera distinctly remembered something about cases of dementia after cannibalism. "Assuming we could even burn the infection out of the zombies, we might have to resort to that." Sera said seriously, keeping her eyes trained ahead. "Boss, I still think we should consider trying to make a garden so we have a long lasting food supply. We don't know how much food there's left in the city, especially with all the looting."

Finally they reached what was a convenience, avoiding any of the dark clouds, and somehow not attracting any zombies, to Sera's dismay. She hopped out of the car, heading to the front of the building. "D'you mind standing guard? I'm gonna have a look around." Sera dashed into the convenience store with a bag to pile supplies in. She first went to the candy section, shoveling the entire stockpile of suckers, lollipops, and other things in. Sera also managed to find canned meat and she took those as well, adding them to a separate bag. She calmly walked around the store, taking what she needed - searching many times over for medical supplies. They needed medicine for the sick, but they also needed bandages, anti-septic, and assortments of things for when someone was injured. They'd already lost a few people to untreated infections weeks ago, and Sera wasn't willing to let that happen again.

Then she felt someone grab her from behind, clasping a hand over her mouth so she couldn't cry out. Sera cursed in her head for being taken by surprise so easily - she was so focused on her hunt for antibiotics that she didn't notice the footsteps trailing her as a group of three bandits surrounded her. "This is our base, bitch." One snarled, shutting the lights off so that Blade wouldn't see anything. "What do you think you're doing, sneaking around, taking our stuff?" Sera struggled, kicking out. Honestly, she wasn't too afraid - but she didn't want to just burn the entire convenience store down and ruin all of the supplies, right?

"What's a girl like you doing here, anyways?" Another laughed. "Stop fighting, your boyfriend outside ain't gonna come save you."

Okay, that made her angry. Sera didn't have or need a boyfriend, all she needed was Kasumi-chan! The idea was ridiculous and fire raged in her eyes as anger built up within. Sera decided to release her fires, surprising the man that was holding her from behind. Now released, she kicked him from behind, sending back backwards and jumped to land on him, tearing a knife from his pants and took one of his eyes out with it, ignoring the screams of pain and the horrible attempts at apology. "I only need Sumi, you idiots." Sera growled. She released more flame and that seemed enough to scare the other two bandits off, where they'd run straight into Blade. The girl grinned, brushing the wrinkles out of her clothes, letting her heart rate return to normal. Okay, fine, that was a little scarier than she thought.

But hell if Sera would let anyone take her candy from her.

Blade sat back and nodded as he heard her. "Alright. Just don't take too long we have a lot of ground to cover." He sat back and began to kick his feet up as he relaxed for a moment. He looked around a bit taking in the terrible wasteland that was the city. It was tragic. But, thanks to the walkers, hopefully the civilization could survive and once this plague had passed, we could rebuild civilization and restore Kokkua to it's beautiful self.

Soon Blade began to grow bored. "What the hell is taking so long?" He said before standing from the cart and going to the doors. As he approached them and opened one of the doors, he paused seeing a man collide into his chest. He was not phased however, the thug who ran into him, only fell back onto the floor. He noticed the eye injury on one and sighed a bit while shaking his head. "I can't even leave you alone for ten minutes without you terrorizing some men." He said with a cheerful laugh before removing his sword from his side. It glew bright with pure energy. "Now then gentlemen. We don't have a problem here, do we?" He said with a smirk.

He paused seeing one trying to escape and quickly tripped him onto the floor with his leg before pointing the edge of the sword to him as well. "Now listen. I don't like you bandits hurting my companions. Hear me? Now get out of my sight of I'll remove more than just an eye."

❝Grr, I wanna team up with Sumi one day...❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#d62e28

Just as expected, Blade was there to the rescue, making sure they regretted what they had tried to do - though with one missing an eye, that was probably a big enough lesson. Turning the lights back on, Sera shot Blade a thumbs up and a grin, gathering her bags and climbing back into the car, counting what she gathered now that the bandits were out of sight. After a few minutes, Sera tied the plastic bags up, carefully depositing them into the back of the car. "That should be enough to feed everyone for a few days." Sera said clinically, then grinned at the boss, eyes gleaming. "You could've just killed them, though! I mean, they're just gonna cause more innocents trouble later on if we leave them alive, right? Are you too much of a goody two-shoes to get rid of'em, boss?" Sera had a rare teasing smile, patting Blade on the back from the passenger's seat. "I'm joking, I'm joking, probably. Let's keep going, we've gotta find antibiotics for the sick people!"

As they drove to the suburban district, where houses lines with identical houses filled the streets, it just made Sera feel strange. She never really lived in a normal kind of house before, never really had that kind of normal life. Her whole childhood was being stuffed in a science lab, poked with needles, prodded with metal things, and forced to make fire to test out a dangerous thing inside her hand. She had no idea what it meant to be normal, really. Heck, Sera wasn't even sure what it was even like to be loved - all she knew was that at some point, probably, everything could be taken away from her if she wasn't careful. A determined glare was on Sera's face as she and Blade looted houses, gathering more supplies, but still failing to find the medicine they needed.

"...Hey, while we're here..." Sera looked up at the boss, a quizzical look on her face. "If we have spare time, we could hunt down the main base where the bandits live. If we kill them all, then that means there's less mouths to feed overall, right?" A dangerous smile was on her face, excitement of a battle. "The less people alive in Kokkua, the more food our team gets, right? But if you don't wanna, that's fine. It was just an idea."

Sera really wanted to go and kill them, but she knew Blade was the boss. In the end, it was his decision. But scum like that who were a threat to their livelihood, wasn't it smart to clean them out before they pressed the attack?

Blade raised an eyebrow as he listened to her and laughed a bit. "What a terrible thought Sera. Those 'bandits' already have it bad enough living in an unsecured environment. They don't live how we do. We have an entire civilization expertly crafted with not only doctors and scientists but professionals of other fields. We were lucky to have crafted such a living. They on the other hand are not that lucky. They don't have the assortment of food and water. Truthfully, we should be helping them instead of trying to prevent them from surviving." He smiled a bit. His kind heart would most likely prevent him from trying to do what she said regardless. "I'd offer them a spot in the civilization but I knew you would be against that so I didn't try. Who knows. Maybe they will come to us one day in hopes of help. And you know what Sera, I'd do it for sure."

He snickered and started the vehicle before looking to her. "I've been taken in what you said about the whole produce thing. I suppose our biggest problem would be trying to plant food underground and all. Plus to keep the crops alive, we would have to give up a large number of our water supply. On a good note, the engineers finally finished their development of our first windmill recently. With that electricity will slowly but surely be stable and if it works out, we can craft more with lines connecting underground." He smirked and laughed a bit. "Believe it or not Sera, the spirit of Kokkua is slowly coming back and one day when these damn zombies are long and gone, we'll rise to the surface again. Just you wait."

He slowly began to whistle as he began to look around for more small convince stores or plazas to raid. He soon stopped in front of a small building. "You head in there and I'll keep watch of the front for bandits. Hey, and if you see some smokes in there, mind handing them my way?"

Rei listened to her ally, as per normal, it wasn't that shocking that she'd listen to what others had said. Though as she looked about the city, looking at the carnage, and especially the dead, how could one even imagine to survive the mess that was caused? Yet as she watched, something caught her eye, and surprised her as it did, since it was some sort of suitcase falling from the sky, with the way it tumbled, it was apparant that it was knocked from a floor of some sort, so it came from a building, as Rei scanned the ground, she saw something else, instead of the dead she noticed bandits, whom swarmed around the bag like a pack of hyenas, cackling and everything, unaware of the hidden walkers. As the bag hit the ground, with a loud thud and soon it's contents flew, from what Rei could see, it was food, this easily got weapons drawn as Rei looked to her partner, her eyes, showing her cut-throat nature when it came to food. Being where she was from, one would fight to the death for their next meal, and while the bandits almost scrambled to collect the food, Rei spoke quietly, "Those looters have food. And from the sound and how the food burst out, they have a lot of it. I don't care what Blade said we are to do, nor do I give a damn what you do. I'm going for that to ensure we have a meal." her words were quiet as normal, while she moved, going for a flank, not caring for what Youta did, so long as he stayed out of her way. Guns drawn she peered around a corner, though stealth was not something Rei was good at, and one of the bandits shot up, yelling do his allies,

"Hey, guys! We got a little rat here!" he yelled, with the other two looking up, with weapons in hand, on a quick analysis, Rei was outgunned, as they had automatic fire, though at a glance, they had no idea how to even so much as fire the weapon properly, a gun like that as Rei remembered, was best fired two handed, while it can be fired with one, it would be horribly inaccurate, and it was likely that they'd miss, that is, if it weren't for the fact that there was three of them, each with one of these now buzzing weapons as they ripped into the wall briefly. Admittedly Rei was spooked, having never been in a fight where she was outgunned like this. With a sigh, Rei picked up the communicator, and spoke into it, to hopefully awaken the hornet's nest that were her friends, something she knew over the time that was spent, Blade would come running to any woman in distress.

"This is Rei." That was the first transmission through the cackling radio, "I'm currently in a gunfight against possibly five enemies. I could use aid on Gold Street towards downtown." soon her eyes turned to Youta, whom she knew was at a disadvantage, and soon shouted at him, "Stay down or you'll get shot! Let me handle this mess!" and soon after the buzzing sound had echoed into the air, and bullets flew by Rei, whom laughed, They're better with them than I thought. she thought snickering, this was something she knew, gunfights. With that, she moved, firing at the three, causing them to duck into cover, and thus the fight began.

❝Grr, I wanna team up with Sumi one day...❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#d62e28

Sera was about to enter the apartment, grinding her teeth in frustration at how Blade always seemed to be super nice with everyone, even bandits that clearly meant more harm than good. It pissed her off that he could be so naive to want to offer them a spot in their safe area - food was already hard enough to get as it is. The only way to survive is by protecting those around you, and getting rid of any possible threats! Why didn't Blade understand this? "What if one day food became a real problem?" Sera asked, suddenly annoyed, staring at the boss. "And the bandits wouldn't make things any easier. Some of that food could go to your sister, or to Kasumi, do you really want to waste it on trash like bandits?" Before the argument could continue, however, Sera suddenly received a message from Rei - something about a fight? It seemed a fire was lit in Serafina's eyes and she grinned eagerly, full of excitement. Before Blade could say anything, Sera responded to Rei's call for help. "Sera here, I'm on my way!" She aimed her Combustion Module behind her, ready to start it up. "Hold out until I get there!" The fire girl snatched up one of the candies into her mouth, sucking on it and smiling at Blade before boosting herself, using her own lifespan as an engine to speed towards Gold Street, near the downtown and the larger buildings and corporate skyscrapers.

With the fire burning behind her, Sera shot like a rocket through the familiar streets, dodging a zombie entirely as she moved, nearing Rei's location on the radar device. She was almost there, and it was almost time. Sera's eyes burned with a deep hunger for fighting and for killing - what else was she even good at, if not this? Five enemies? If Sera could get close enough, that wouldn't even almost be a problem! And at last, Sera made her announcement of her joining the battle with a burst of fire, creating smoke to ruin everyone's vision. "Rei, Youta, fall back to a better position while the smoke has them distracted!" Hoping they would listen, Sera slipped through the smoke, following the sounds of gunfire and yells. Like a predator the girl stalked, finding her first target, one to the left of the looter's formation. She burnt him alive, enjoying his screams of pain and fear - a fried human corpse was all that remained. More yells - the others were going to investigate what had happened. Another burst of flame and another looter caught alight. Unfortunately, the smoke chose that time to disperse, revealing Sera's location to the remaining three enemies, and they all decided to focus her.

"Alright, I've got their attention!" Sera announced as she ran - trying to stay ahead to avoid their bullets, feeling the blood pumping through her heart with excitement. An incredibly happy smile was on the fire girl's face. Sera dipped and dodged through the alleys and streets, three enemies on the pursuit, shooting and shouting. She had a headache, she'd used up too much fire, but it was fine. Because this was the only thing Sera could ever hope to be good for.

Blade glared to Sera but before he could answer, the communicator began to go off. He paused hearing that Rei was in some sort of gun fight with bandits. He hoped nothing would go wrong. He paused seeing Sera begin to leave. "Dammit Sera! Wait!" He said before clutching his fist. He knew they were going to kill them and take whatever they had on person or in camp. He didn't understand how they could so easily become the very savages that they were fighting. He quickly began to speak on the communicator. "Sera will be there shortly. Keep casualties to as minimal as possible and don't you DARE touch anything of theirs. That is an order." He said in an abnormally stern voice. "I will not allow any of you to become the very savages that we are supposedly protecting the civilization from. I don't give a damn if they have food or gold up their ass, you do not touch a thing. Apprehend them and avoid killing them as much as possible. Were suppose to be killing zombies people not each other!" He took a deep breath before looking away in the distance. "You have your orders."

He slowly stepped out of the vehicle and began to explore the store himself. His head was a bit hazy still concerned about if they would listen or not. "Sure there is a possible chance that food could be a problem but were making so much progress. We can produce food at any moment. Dammit those bandits are as much in hell as we are. So why fight about it?" He slowly leaned his head against the wall before hearing a small noise. It was a voice for sure but it seemed timider than usual. Maybe a bit too soft.
