Standing in her red dress with a frilled choker and bare feet, Lenassia gazed upon a crowd with her red eyes with the pupils turning like camera lenses to focus on the people. "It has been 11 years since my take over and the liberation of Keldos from its former tyrannic ruler. Since then I have made a vow to ensure safety to the citizens of Keldos and the improvement of life standards within the nation. Everyday Keldos grows a bit by population due to many new settlers seeking a better life. Yesterday we had 42 new settlers come to Keldos. Each and everyone of you is an important part of the labour force of Keldos ensuring economic growth and a betterment to each other. I remember when Keldos town was just a village of 550 and today the population numbers 7000 and growing. With the increasing population and more traffic on our streets, we had to do something to make travel easier and reduce the number of travelers on the streets. After looking in the old history books of Kurinta, I found a solution: Build a railway! Now the rail line is finally complete shortening travel between Keldos town and the outlying town of Vinland from eight hours by foot to a mere 20 minutes, traveling at a speed one and a half times that of a galloping horse (horse: about 45 km/h) at an affordable price. There will be discounts on those who work in the other settlements. A two carriage electric unit as well as an one carriage electric unit with two or three freight cars will travel along the line. So..." Lenassia said and then turned towards a ribbon and cut it with a large pair of scissors. "I declare the rail line open!" The crowd then cheered.
Lenassia then made her way back up to the palace. She had to make plans to conquer the next settlements and had to practice some combat.
As he entered through the large rusted gates of the north wall he constantly watched his left and right flanks to make sure he wasn't being followed or watched, he continued to march down the long deserted road as he kept an eye out for any supplies he could take. Sixty noticed a small glint in his eye from a small rifle scope from a window in the large building to his right. "I'll be damned, if it ain't Sixty.....Three?" A man shouted in a pre-war western accent, "Sixty-Two" Six replied as he tilted his hat to show respect as he slowly walked over. "Well, common up" the man continued as he threw a long, brown rope down to Six. "Thanks" Sixty called up as he quickly climbed up the rope and stood along the balcony with the man. "Look at that, Damned Machines killed this great city" the man shouted un-needingly towards Sixty as he threw his arms out to embrace the city. "Well humans with guns doesn't help" Six replied casually. Suddenly the ground broke through and the pair of them fell onto the concrete rubble. Sixty quickly picked himself up and scanned the area, a bullet suddenly skimmed past his face blowing his hat off, he instantly raced forward towards his assailant, the dust quickly blew away reviling a Cyborg. The left arm human, while the rest of the body seems to have been traded for machine. He curved his path, but it was too late, the cyborg grabbed his arm and threw him backwards and through a thin wall. Sixty picked himself up and leapt out of a window and quickly zig-zagged across the path in front of the cyborg, jumped and grabbed onto the head of the machine and ran through the neck with his dagger, he quickly twisted the head until the body fell to the floor and the lights of power began to dim. He quietly walked over to the man and put his hat back on after dusting himself off. "Ya know, I wish more people could help us folk like you do Sixty-three", Sixty took a breath to say it again but felt no need, "No problem" he returned as he turned and once again continued down the long dusty road.
Society still objects to starting fights, though. This he wasn't acquainted with. Dux was perfectly fine with starting a fight; in his tribe, in fact, starting fights was encouraged. Fighting helped to vent pent-up frustration and anger, which in turn helped keep his tribesmen under control, preventing them from engaging in destructive acts against his property and others'. It lowered the need for a police force, it settled short-term grudges--what was there to dislike?
But so-called "Civilized Society"--like Keldos, for example--frowned upon a man decking another man in the face for calling him "inbred tribal scum" and throwing him through a door into the street. "Civilized Society" also frowned upon a citizen attempting to resist arrest by destroying a fire escape. But for some reason--probably because he was being kept as Lenassia's "pet"--they tossed him into the so-called drunk tank to let him sober up when, in actuality, he wasn't even tipsy yet, and released him by three in the afternoon. Just in time for him to appear at Lenassia's christening of the railroad. His appearances served a dual purpose; for one, it was to show that not all tribals were backwards brainless savages, as public opinion seemed to dictate. But the largest one was probably to demonstrate how powerful Keldos was--that it could subjugate even the most powerful of opponents and make them kneel before its queen. Dux may have been a large man of a somewhat surly temperament and apparently low intelligence, but he was not stupid.
Nonetheless, he assumed his place at Lenassia's side, permanently affixing one hand to his sword hilt. He waited as she spoke, rolling his eyes at the concept of a railroad. 'My feet have always gotten me where I needed to go,' his thoughts said, 'Why would we need a train when we have oxen and roads?' Outwardly, he let out a low, contemptuous grunt. He waited until the crowd had dispersed, and then let his demeanor drop, removing his hand form his sword. He followed his queen to the palace, knowing there was a war to be plotted.
If he had invaded from the weaker south border, they'd have broken through, attacking from the east as a diversion force and to hold their army at bay. We could have been victorious!
While she was deep in thought, Oryx had stepped too far away from her group, as they tried to secure a passageway past the walls and the sentries. Still, Oryx kept her cool, being mostly hidden in the cover of the night darkness, creeping almost silently past a watchtower. She grinned to herself, and with a small burst of energy, she was instantly up the wall and behind a guard. A few moments later and the guard was dead; a dagger wound to the throat. Oryx climbed down, feeling proud of herself for the kill, after looting the corpse for some gold and a silver locket. When she turned away from the ladder, however, she was struck with a blunt object, collapsing onto the ground.
"Hey, who're you?" A voice asked. Another guard, holding a large club in his hand, looking down at the young woman on the ground, reeling from the pain. He roughly grabbed at her arm, lifting her up easily. realization shone on his face when he saw her eyes- Oryx Lachus, feared high-ranking member of the Moirae Bandits. The guard from Keldos quickly made plans to return to his Queen and earn the bounty for this capture.

"My queen." A voice said behind Lenassia. Her head turned 180 degrees. It somehow looked disturbing, but soon her body turned around too. It was a guard holding a girl. "I captured the bandit Oryx Lachus. She tried to sneak in and killed a guard in the process." The guard said. Then Lenassia answered: "Hmm. You will receive your award soon." She then looked at the girl. "Why do you kill and rob honest people? Have you become an outcast and wanted to get revenge or have you just become so rotten that you do not care about the lives of people just for your own benefit?" Normally Lenassia talked to prisoners before making a decision. Depending on how bad the crime was, she had come to a good punishment for them. Serial killers with no sign of remorse and no will to improve were executed. People who had only committed a single or double homocide were put into prison. Cybernetic criminals were dismantled and often either adapted to simple augmentations or in severe cases set as a living head in a shelf. Minor crimes were often a reason for a short prison sentence, community service or public ridicule.

"Ok, time for you all to die." She though as she moved up to the camp, grabbing both her guns, making sure she was ready for a fight. She noticed that there were only five.
"Hey, uglies!" She screamed at the bandits, and one charged at her, saying something about saving her pretty head. She raised her left arm and shot out a ball of fire at the one charging, effectivly killing him. She tuned around at three others who were coming from multiple angles and raised her right arm and shot out a stream of water that had enough presure to go straight through one. she then shot it again at another one and used fher fire against the last one.
"I know there is one of you left, come on out." She said as a guy who had attatments to both of his arms and half his face came out. "Damn a cyborg." She though before he started to charge her. She barely had enough time to pull her trigger at the cyborg, who came out of the fire looking like it was nothing.
He continued straight towards her and punched her in the stomach, making her drop her fire gun, and feel back. As he came up to finish her, she raised her water gun and fired at his head, making him splater all over the ground.
She crawled to the shade, to tired to move, when she noticed a man with a coat with pre-war symbol on it and an odd hat on coming towards her. She hoped this man wouldn't be another enemy, she didn't have the energy for this.
Of course, as she was lead into the Keldos Palace, to see one of her sworn enemies once again; Lenassia. The self appointed Queen who had subjugated and brought shame to her father. Like father, like daughter, and sure enough, she's at the mercy of the Dread Queen. She gave her adversary a burning glare while the guard held her tightly; red marks on her upper arms.
"Why do you kill and rob honest people?" The Queen asked, an earnest yet stern look on her face.
"Have you become an outcast and wanted to get revenge or have you just become so rotten that you do not care about the lives of people just for your own benefit?"
Not even missing a beat, Oryx replied in a dry, deadpan voice, filled with fury and distaste at the Queen's assumptions.
"We rob and kill from the rich, and we give half of what we get to the poor." Oryx growls. "Why should some people have everything and others have nothing? The poor need to survive as well, Lenassia."

The warchief had just turned away from the dummy, retracting his shield, as he moved to a nearby water pump to get a drink. He grinned at the fight pit, watching the neophyte soldiers train against each-other in the art of battle. They looked so pitiful. His tribe would have crushed them were it not for his foolish pride and arrogance. That, and perhaps for their own technological and numerical advantages. His men were the most powerful tribesmen in the plains, but even they could not fight almost three to one odds. An attack that wasn't carried out with utmost swiftness and precision could easily see his people wiped from history with only their rusting weapons and a few story-tapestries to prove they ever existed. No, this had certain advantages.
He was just about to go to the war table to go over Lenassia's strategies when the guard brought in a prisoner. This was an unremarkable occurrence that took place several times a week; occasionally the bandits would be made an example of, occasionally they would be released. But something about this felt different. When Villius squinted his eyes and looked, he saw what made him feel so strange.
He had nearly sprinted the full distance to the guard holding Oryx, regardless of the fact that the queen regent of the realm was standing right there. He had his shield out and was inches from decking the guard holding the bandit lieutenant captive before cold steel stopped him in his tracks--a particularly ballsy guard had pressed a weapon against the back of his head. Grinning, showing sharpened canines and a strong jaw, he retracted the shield and dropped his offensive stance. He looked to Lenassia, a fire burning in his eyes. "You're gonna let this one go," he intoned in his gravelly tone of voice. "And I'll tell you why. You kill her and her people come after you, and one thing you do not want to have to deal with are the Moirae Bandits." He indicated her face and then turned to his queen again. "And that would be a very, very dumb move."
Then he looked back at the girl's face. He looked hard at it, examining it. The most disturbing thing was that it looked hauntingly familiar. It looked like his face, except more feminine, softer, and without the scars and the ravages of time. Outwardly he showed no changes as he turned to the queen.
"Secondly," he said, scowling, "You're looking at someone that may be my daughter."
However, Oryx snapped back to attention after her lecture was over, but she decided this time to keep her tongue shut. No point in incriminating ehrself further; she'd rather not give the Queen more ammunition to use against her. The sooner she's out; the sooner she can reunite with Atropos and the Moirae Bandits and continue with their job- robbing from the treasuries of the Keldos Palace. Oryx hid a little smirk as she surveyed the area- useful information, as long as she can remember every detail.
There's a good side to everything... I swear there was a locked door that could be the way to the treasury...
But then the worst possible thing happened. Her father, Villius Dux, once Waverly, glanced up at the scene and charged up to meet them, almost bashing her in with his large shield. But he stopped at the last second, and Oryx saw what he felt. Recognition. Her heart sank deeper, knowing that her disguise had ultimately failed, so she glared daggers at her estranged father.
"You're gonna let this one go," Villius said in his deep and raspy voice, staring hard at the Queen with a passion Oryx only recognized on his face from the battlefield. "And I'll tell you why. You kill her and her people come after you, and one thing you do not want to have to deal with are the Moirae Bandits. And that would be a very, very dumb move."
A strange unpleasant feeling tore through Oryx's body as she heard those words. Her father defending her like a father should. She knew that he knew, but now Oryx hoped that he wouldn't tell the Queen; that he'd leave this between them. This is when Oryx started thrashing, refusing to see her father's face anymore, fighting vainly to wrest control back into her own hands and escape this wretched palace. But no can do, however, and the next words her father spoke were like ice in her heart.
"Secondly, You're looking at someone that may be my daughter."
Rage burned through her body as she scowled hard at her father and the Queen, struggling as hard as she could to break free from the guard's grasp. Afraid to face her past. Her embarrassment of a father, losing to Lenassia in a fight, and becoming little more than a slave.
"Shut up!" Oryx shrieked; out of control. "I'm not her! Shut up! Villius Dux, lapdog of the Queen, you don't know anything!"

But Lenassia also heard what the girl had said: "Sounds to me that he really is your father and you are angry that he lost to me. You anger would be useless then, because I acknowledge Villius as a great warrior, a brilliant man in his own way and an equal. He is no lapdog but rather an ally who has joined me on my conquest to unite the warring nations, bring peace and bring hope to the people. Not only the people of Keldos wont have to worry about starving anymore but as soon as other nations join Keldos, I will make sure that people wont be oppressed, that corruption will be eliminated, slavery abolished, that there will be equal chances of education and so on. It might sound like an impossible task but I will work hard for my whole life to make things better for people everywhere. You would have my word. But now we need to plan on the invasion of Terinthia. They didn't want to voluntarily join because I want to abolish slavery, so scouts have won the trust of Terinthian slaves and upon the time of our invasion, the slaves will rebel."

"Enough of your flowery talk, Eredon. I wasn't raised a chieftan to be spoken for by some frill-collared empress." The tone of his voice, despite his position of inferiority, said that he would not be disputed upon this point. "You know enough of my culture to know that any defeat unpaid with death is a shame that rivals no other; that a leader should live to see his people subjugated in any way is the ultimate insult. Her anger, although immature, is justified."
Then he turned to Oryx and scowled, looking truly angry for the first time in a long time. "And I figure I should know plenty, Oryx--Is that what you're calling yourself now? Oryx?" He laughed contemptuously. "A ridiculous name granted by those fools from the frozen north. But I am no fool. I know that I saw you delivered. I know I diapered your ass when you weren't even old enough to walk. I know that I took care of you when you were sick or injured; that you slept in my chambers; that I gave you every luxury that a man of my abilities could provide." His mouth twisted down in a gesture of disappointment and anger.
"And I know that you repaid the love and generosity that I showed you with betrayal and contempt; that you abandoned your own people to follow your own selfish desires." He paused before moving on. "And finally, I know that you look upon a sacrifice of my own honor to preserve the lives of my people as an act of cowardice and foolishness, whereas if it weren't for the actions you call cowardly my people would have been wiped out to the last man, nothing more than a footnote in the history of her kingdom." He threw a thumb over his shoulder, pointing at Lenassia.
"You speak as if I have brought shame upon my people, this is true. You speak as if I have brought shame upon myself, this is true. That does not mean you have the right to speak on the matter." Dux turned to Lenassia and sighed. "Release her back to the bandits. She is my daughter, though she does not recognize it, and she will go unharmed. Your demands will be met or I will put all of the bandits to the sword, her included." He spared one last glance at Oryx, then walked away. Although outwardly he looked angry, his heart was draped in sorrow and shame.
Sixty walked along the now pure sand path, where the once small average houses used to be, but these were now lost under the sand. He heard gunshots and water, as he looked up he noticed a fairly small girl fighting a bunch of bandits. He noticed after their defeat that he saw a cyborg walking towards her, she valiantly tried to fight him off but he seemed stronger than her by far. He slowly walked over to her as she laid on the ground, "Need a hand?" he shouted over to her as he stood in front of her. As he heard the cyborg race at him form behind, he swung around and ran the neck through with his dagger and quickly stabbed the forehead with the other, instantly disabling it. "It's not fair to attack someone while their down" he said in a dark voice. After sheathing his blades he turned to the young girl and held his hand out to help her up, "You don't look like the travelling type, why are you here?" he asked her politely as he handed her gun back to her.

Lost in his train of thought Nogond was awakened by a retinue member. " My Archon. We have arrived at the gates of Keldos."
"Excellent." Was Nogond's only answer as he climbed out of his transport.
At the gates he saw some guards which were eyeing him suspiciously and talking in hushed voices. After a few minutes one of them walked up to Nogond and said in a confident voice. " Greetings. Kindly state your name, profession and reason for travelling to Keldos."
Nogond looked at the guard in front of him that had dared to adress him directly. In a loud and metallic voice he said, "You dare to adress me? To even demand anything from me? I am Nogond Ardan. Archon of the Cybermages! The Defiler of nations! And you dare speak to me?" Nogond grabbed the guard by the neck and lifted him of the ground. "I have come to speak to your leader. Bring me to her now or I will personally come back with an army and wipe this town of the map." He let go of the guard and saw that he was extremely pale and had soiled himself.
The guard quickly moved back to his friends and spoke to them before moving away.
"What do we do now Archon?" asked one of his cybermages.
"Now we wait for their Queen to respond."

"Thanks for taking out those baddies, but i could have taken them without your help." She knew she was lying, but she didn't want to appear weaker than she already was.
After what felt like a while, she had recovered enough strenght to stand up, but leaded against the side of one of the tents. "You asked why i am here. To kill them." She said, poointing at the remains of the bandits. "But, my job isn't complete until i see the the Moirae Bandits destroyed." She said making sure to let him know she wasn't weak.
"What about you, what brings you to this little paridise?" She said the word 'paradise' with heavy sarcasm.

"Hey, guy, what does that guy on the recording mean 'where you'll find it'?" She knew he wasn't likely to tell her, but Keldos was a large enough city to stay in while she figured out what to do. She had even heard of rumors that the Moirae Bandits were spotted close to there. She reaizd that this guy was probably a safe bet to travel with so she said, "I am heading towards Keldos, we should go together." She then smiled at the man and said, "My name's Lia, and yours?"
-Stranger this is one of Keldos borders. This is the outpost Z-12.Please tell us your name, occupation and the motive you entered the teritory of Keldos. After the guardian finished talking the other one was looking at Moseun, whom he considered an suspicious person, told him on a superior tone

"Well, my entire family was killed in a very rare bandit raid, no one was skilled in weapons, so they were easy pickings, i managed to kill them all, but hating bandits is what has kept me going, and who knows, one day i might actually destroy the bandits, and live a somewhat normal life." She finished with a smile, but continued, "by the way, don't call me delicate, i know i don't look it, but i am tough." She said puffing out her chest to appear larger but gave it up after four seconds. "Oh, yea, what makes you think these notes are for you, and not some stalker or something just messing around with you?"
