Thane Illuvatar's Story

Hayley ran as fast as she could laughing. She ran through the woods near her village, skipping and dodging the enormous oak, maple, and birch trees. The leaves of the fallen in the past fall had fallen and made wonderful new forest patterns on the floor of the woods around her. The wind whistled in her ears as she ran faster and faster laughing and grinning at her happiness. the cool crisp air felt great against her pale white skin, all over her legs, neck, arms, and face. She could even feel the cool freshness through her shirt and short ripped jeans.

Whoever invented ripped jean shorts was her hero. It made her feel more like a wolf when she wore them. She could even get regular jeans and make her very own claw marks in them. It was sentimental sort of thing. 'Its stupid', she thought, 'to love an article of clothing so much. Whoever heard of having a piece of cloth that held great sentimental value to a person for merely the rips, wears and tears that it bared from the tormenting years of the wearing, rough housing, and washing. How foolish. But I guess thats just silly old me I suppose.' She thought once more and kept running.

One might have thought if they actually saw her running through the woods that she was either 1. Crazy, what with the running and laughing. or 2. Running away from another but seeming to be mocking the other for not catching her yet by laughing back at them. But being one of the fastest Lycans out there she can't just simply sit down or stay still for very long. In fact, to keep in shape Hayley goes out on 18 mile runs or more if she isn't too tired from working and playing with her mate. Thane.

Thane was good and wonderful to her. One of the reasons she always went running was to later show how much she could do and how helpful she really was to the pack. She liked to show off her running skills for him, because she loved to get all kinds of praise and affection from him. While lacking in strength, she makes up for it in running and agile movements during a battle or fight. Even though she is a Lycan or Werewolf, they have the natural ability to have incredible strength than some of the other races. Even though that is true she still is stronger than some others of the races, but within her pack, many many people outweighed her in the strength catagory. This was what she thought was in the case that she was so small for her age or really always was the "runt of the litter" as you could put it. She did only stand about a mere 5'4. Which in Lycan terms in "Damn tiny!" But Hayley hasn't had to worry much about that, because with whatever she lacked in the alpha wolf, Thane was always in his strong hood or the best at. She was the fast one and he was the strong one, and together in a fight their agility and power combined would make them a force to certainly be reckoned with.

Hayley ran fast, jumping over the fallen tree limbs and other types of foliage. Her heart pounding in her chest and her lungs moving with the rythme of her body. She was a lean mean running machine. Well except for the mean part at least but you get the point. After she had been running for about a good two and a half hours, Hayley suddenly caught the scent of more lycans from her pack. She quickly ran as fast as she could to the scent and then came into a clearing and spotted what she had been wanting to see. She saw Thane walking around at the edge of the town by himself and seemed to be thinking about things with himself. What with the meeting that shortly they both had to attend she would have imagined that her Alpha would be contemplating about the event.

Hayley was so excited about getting to meet the other Alpha's and their followers, that she couldn't contain herself anymore. Hayley jogged up to Thane and jumped up on him wrapping her arms and legs around his waist and chest. She said, "Hey stranger how're you?" She laughed at her joke about calling him a stranger. See the thing is most other Lycans were not permitted to do this sort of thing to their Alpha, but her being the Omega of the pack she could pretty much do whatever she wanted with him. But she of course would not use that sort of permission against or in any harsh or irresponsible way at all. Hayley nibbled on Thane's neck playfully and growled looking up at him in a playful and happily excited way.

Two men, unarmed, unarmored, and unwavering. They were patrolling. Patrolling an entrance. Thats when footsteps, fast, could be heard coming towards both the guards, and they tensed up, looking a bit more wolf like then before. A boy came down, and went past the guards. the guards made a slight snarl, before straightening their backs and looking more human. The boy's hair was messy, at the moment anyways, and he was wearing a large cloak. As he passed someone, they noted "I thought you went out for a bite?". He then replied "I did, but there were some humans near the enterence. So, I had to "borrow" someone else's cloak. I hope you don't plan on serving desert.....".

"Well, if I do, at least it will save me from checking your food for poison again...."

The boy stopped for a moment, and then agitatedly replied "You know, it would be nice if they could at least try to look at it from my side......and really, killing me?". The man only replied "Well not everyone knows you actually have skills. Your father may have had a lot of respect, but you just cant inherit that. You need to earn it, and they find the fact someone so young is where you are and not someone more qualified in insulting...".

"Still, not like I have a choice. I cant give up being Gamma, I am the only one my father taught his strategies to..."

"Well, speaking of those, we got Mail for the Alpha that needs to be delivered....."

"Yeah, I could smell the paper. Just let me get dressed first, I didn't expect turning into my human form so early, but there were witnesses by the entrance. If I tried to fight them, one might have run into a public area and tell everyone.....and we cant risk that..."

"Just keep up that thinking, and you will be fine. The New alpha has kept you around for some reason, so either he respects you and knows your use, or he is using you for your fathers knowledge, OR your just a pawn in his plan. either way, be glad all those execution requests never come through...".

The Boy sighed, then noted "Yeah, I guess........."

He then added "Oh, and Matthew, good luck".

Matthew Rikker, Gamma of the Lycans, Protector of the Alpha when needs be, Adviser, and some other stuff. He went to his room and got dressed, taking of the cloak he dawned and putting on some shorts and a shirt. He also grabbed a small steel dagger, just in case. He grabbed the letters for the Alpha, just reading who it was from and the topic, both written on the outside envelope of the letters. He went out of his room, searching for the Alpha. Only then did he find the Alpha, Thane.

He then decided to put on a bit of an accent. Although he was twice the age he appeared, his child looks sparked a sort of child personality, that combined with his regular one. He then said, in a somewhat British accent. "Oi! You got mail Govnor". He walked over, and then began reading who they were from and what they were. "Alpha Jerad. He wants to talk to you about him taking over as head Alpha. Again. Alphas David, Harris, and Yami are requesting an execution again..." he noted the last part in a frustrated tone, somewhat annoyed since the alpha's very well know he would be likely to take the mail to the Alpha, so they knew he would see it, which caused the frustration, and before continuing, starting with a more of "You know who its about" tone, and then continuing with a more non opinion tone, adding "....and I don't think I don't need to tell you who they are wanting executed. Oh, Alpha Hannah sends her regards. She is actually wishing you luck. And, the rest is just fan mail and bills, with the exception of this one. This one is from Alpha Farcus. He is sending us his analysis of the room, and strategic planning of our guards and such. I guess he made changes. Well, that's it. I suppose we should go in and start this soon. We wait too long, and the other two races might use 'Disrespectful' as a reason for war....."

Hayley smiled at Thane beaming at him happily. She loved the feeling of being close to him especially since he was so much bigger than her. And normally being with someone so big and powerful and important would intimidate her but strangely it didn't. She like it a lot and she enjoyed his company. Hayley blushed when he kissed her on the forehead softly and smiled at her. "well you should now I can do a lot more than just jump on you an lick you Thane." she winked smirking and growled playfully at him.

"Awh thane you are the sweetest but don't worry I won't say that in front of people. I don't wanna tarnish your rep as the big powerful Lycan Alpha." she kissed his nose and blushed at the compliments he gave her. He kissed her and she then did the same back to him as he sat down. They were kissing for about a minute when slowly Thane began to get into it and started to lean backwards, obviously forgetting he seated them on a small brick wall. His rear slipped off the back and he laughed as he fell off. Hayley pulled away from his mouth, her eyes wide and letting out a small scream in surprise, Hayley was pulled down by Thane. She fell on top of him and lay on his chest in his arms. She laughed and looked down feeling chest and head to make sure he wasn't hurt. "Haha I'm fine Thane, thanks to you. But are you hurt? I wouldn't want you to get hurt, that'd be horrible." She said looking at him concerned and running her fingers through his hair. "Here lemme make it better." She smiled and kissed his nose and both cheeks. Then she started to lick his neck softly, her wolf was slowly coming out, but lucky for her she was a master at controlling it around everyone. But the thing that made Thane different was that she could never really have complete control over her other side whenever she was around him. She was a completely different girl around him, and a girl that people respected and looked up too.

Hayley grinned back at Thane giggled as they went back to what they had been doing just before but were interrupted by the fall. As they were continuing their "play time". Thane then purposed that he had free time tonight, and Hayley's grin grew bigger and she started shaking excitedly in his lap. But unfortunately their young Gamma, Matthew, suddenly appeared on the other side of the wall with some with paperwork for Thane.

Hayley huffed slightly annoyed but not loud enough for Matthew to hear only maybe Thane. She didn't like how she hardly got any time to herself with Thane always working. Although that is the price to pay when your mate was the Alpha Lycan of the pack. Even though she didn't like him having to work she understood how important of a person he was. But the main thing was, she was very proud of him for working so hard all the time, without him their pack would be chaotic and unprotected.

Hayley listened but not as well as another girl in her position would have, because unlike other females in the pack she was one of the rare few that didn't like to gossip or eavesdrop on purpose. Besides if it was really important and involved herself she knew that Thane would tell her without a doubt. Even if she didn't want to listen is it would've been hard because Thane seemed to be speaking what he was thinking anyway.

Thane finished with Matthew and then stood up picking her up in his arms as well. She giggled and hugged his chest tightly licking his neck slowly. She nuzzled his chest and smiled back at Matthew. "So what's going on Thane?" she leaned her head against his chest since she was too short to put it on his shoulder. She looked up at him smiling happily.

Matthew was glad to hear that most of the mail was rejected. Hannah was a good Alpha, one of the few that liked him.

"As much as how much I am loved..." he noted in a sarcastic tone, then changing to a more serious, but at the same time still joking, one "I think you will need me there more, if just to make sure you don't rip someone's throat out. Which we all know is a possibility at these things. Just some predictions. Vampires will let someone else speak first. They will later try to establish some sort of control and superiority. shifter wil likely demand their old ancient breeding grounds, to help keep their population up. Vampires will probably also want land back, as well as retribution against thoseo f us who have illed vampires. Shifters will try and keep themselves from any danger that might present itself, to protect their dwindling population. Oh, and at one point or another, someone is going to try and kill you...."

Now, there are always variables, but the analysis was based on correct facts and desires.

Thats when he added "Also, we are short one guard on the new posting between one of the time limits...."

Matthew had no actual family. Thane was one of the very few who cared. He was more like a brother then a friend.

"Also, I could get those for you.." he noted, referring to the cherry drops. Besides, He wanted to get himself some food for later. He had gotten a snack before, but he had the physical age of 10 or 11, he digested quickly.

Hayley smiled as Thane slowly and softly placed her back on the ground, which after he looked over his mail and papers that the young Gamma had brought over and interrupted them. She listened to Thane speak and thought over his proposal for her joining him to go off on his Alpha business. 'Well it would give us time to hang and also it would be nice to know what else he does besides monitor schedule and make the shifts for our border patrols around our territory, and keep boatload away from everyone. Besides if he said it's boring then maybe she can make it more fun for him.' Hayley thought to herself. She looked up at Thane happily and replied excitedly," Sure I can put up with boring. Besides I wanna see the Alpha in action. And, it'll give me a chance to see some of the other races. Maybe the Shifters will be fun to talk too." she smiled and looked back at the Gamma.
She didn't have to ask Thane to know that Thane cared for his Gamma. She knew that Thane thought of Matthew as a little brother and of which he certainly did look like one, but Matthew was very mature for his age and could take care of himself. But if he was imPortant to Thane then he was important to her too.
Thane then mentioned he had to go to the house to get his candies no doubt. She giggled when he said that. She thought it was just about the cutest thing that he liked candy so much because it was something that you would've never have guessed that he was a man that loved to eat the same delicacies a little kid would eat. Although she didn't care what people thought of it because she loved eating some of the candies as well they were quite good. "mmmm I love those candies Thane. Let's go get them now!" she laughed and starting to run towards the house and she turned around waiting for Thane and Matthew.

Thane ran after her and wrapped his arms around her. She laughed and grinned happily as he lifted her in the air. You know hayley, if anyone would know what I'm capable of, I'd think it would be you after all you're thenone how knows me nest, especially after all this time" He said to her in a playful tome of voice. Hayley giggled when he kissed her and she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back for a long time. he pulled away and set her down but kept his protective grip on her waist.

He spoke to Matthew now to get a box with gems on it, specifically sapphires. "oh sapphires are my favorite!" hayley said laughing. But soon as thane was talking about the box his grip grew tighter and tense. Hayley turned into him and wrapped her arms around him and started massaging his shoulders for him. "you feel tense baby, are you alright?" hayley asked offering him a smile as she kissed him on the chin and licked his neck softly. 'damn hayley don't loose control.' hayley thought to herself.

"thane does this mean we'll be going to the city soon. I can't wait to see what happens and what you do as one of the best Alpha's!" hayley said excitedly. She start to jump up and down and jumped up on thane wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist. Stuff like this she was able to get away with since her was her mate and she was so small and didn't weigh much compared to Thane who was huge and weighed about 3 tines give or take than hayley. "come let's go start the car or do you wanna take one of the other vehicles? There's the motorcycle too? " she asked smirking at the thought of riding in back with thane on the motorcycle driving into the great city of Arcadia.

Matthew listened, and then joked "There isn't a Gorgon's head in there right? Or is it Pandora's Box?" He gave a slight smile, before then adding "Anyways, got it. Il be right back". He headed to the horde room, only to bump into someone. "Excuse me...."

Thats when he realized who it was. "....and why are you here Jerad. I thought you were not attending this meeting....". Jerad simply smirked, and replied "Well,I had a feeling my letter might be ignored, so I came here in person. Hope you don't mind....". Matthew had mixed feelings about him. On one side, he wasn't a complete ass, and at least kept up an act of being polite to him. On the other hand, he was somewhat of an ass, and competing to take the title of Alpha without a heads on competition. "Just understand, its never going to work".

Jerad then aggravated Matthew a little when he said "We will see, pup". He hated that nickname. Hated it. However, he knew how to reply, saying "No we wont, snake". Jerad hated being called a snake, despite clearly being like one in some ways. Matthew pushed past him, quickly locating the box. However, before he went, he quickly took a detour and snagged some particular candies. He then also detoured to his room, picking up his bag, cloak, and putting some clothes close to and on him in it. He then changed into his wolf form, and ran to the summit, getting there at a relatively quick speed.

Hayley clung onto him and giggled, grinning happily. She loved being in his arms. Plus she knew it wasn't a problem relating to weight wise, because she weighed hardly anything and was an easy person to carry anyways. "Yes babe we're going back to Arcadia. Just have to grab my bag first and we'll be on our way." He held her close smiling. Hayley grinned excitedly and kissed his neck and gave it a little nibble. "Let's grab my bag then we'll take the car. Sound like a plan?" She nodded vigorously and answered, "Yes sir mr. Alpha sir." she smirked and bite his ear playfully tugging at it softly and growling in a challeneging way. They were walkin to the house and hayley couldn't contain her excitement. She started bouncing up and down in thanes arms. She was like a young puppy getting excited jut before going out for a walk. She smiled at the thought of her. "do you wanna bring an extra set of clothes in case we shift or you might from anger or anything?" she smiled at the thought of becoming naked after shifting but she wouldn't or if she could help it shifting in front of anyone besides Thane because she'd feel totally uncomfortable being around people when she had just shifted from her wolf. She'd be vulnerable and weak to anyone and she hated the thought of it. She shook her head out of her trance and looked at Thane she knew she was safe with him and she kissed him and laid her head on his shoulder as he walked.

Hayley smiled looking at the pictures of when they were little. So much had changed and she saw the first picture on the left side of the mantle with when they had first met. They were on their first day of 5th grade and she was scared and no one wanted to talk to her. Hayley back when she was young was a bit shy and didn't have a good life back home, which made her scared of people. She wasn't good at making friends back then. But thane ran up and asked if she wanted to play. And they played all day together and that's when they first became best friends and his mother took a picture of them. She were so young and unknowing of their future together, because when he asked to play hayley nor thane had no idea that it wasn't just because they wanted to be friends it was because they were going to be Mates when they were older. She loved how they had the picture of their lives and it was always fun to look at.

Thane put her on te bed an went to pack. She sat leaning against the pillows watching as he grabbed the shirts and pants and necessities. She very much appreciated that he listened to her and grabbed clothes. He was always protective of her and she didn't know if might burst into wolf form if anything happened even though she knew he was great and the best in their whole pack at containing himself, but still it made her feel better. She saw him slip the bag of candies into his pocket and she giggled quietly to herself.

When thane was done packing he moved back to the bed and sat on it and pulled hayley on his lap holding her tightly in his arms. Hayley chuckled and smirked at him when he said, "I think we have a bit of extra time before we have to go?" she giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck and playfully licked his neck. This was a thing she'd awkward loved Doing to him. She loved how he always kept control but knew that it was hard if she let hers go. But this was something she could do that would look like she was slowly loosing control but she really just loved the taste of him. "oh yes sir Mr. Alpha. I think we can burn some time somehow." she winked and licked his cheek and neck more growling playfully.
