GENERAL APPEARANCE
Rhea has a very tall, muscular body. Of course, she's a knight, why wouldn't she? In fact, she likes to show off often, to both the guys and the girls. It's always nice having a few people admire or envy you with them guns. //shot She has natural dark skin and bright blue eyes that come together as a stunning combination. Rhea also has dark brown hair that runs down to her chest, being slightly wavy, and often worn in three separate ponytails that actually doesn't look too shabby. (Or, if you'd like to imagine instead,) Rhea has short hair that's cut unevenly just above her shoulders, and while it's very chunky and uneven, the messy look doesn't seem horrible. She's also noticeably taller than most girls, even guys, and doesn't mind. Her height it something she adores most along with the rest of her body because it makes her stand out. Plus, its all the better to tease the little 'kids' beneath her.

"You, aren't going to be telling me what to do. Ever."

PERSONALITY

      Impatient ✧ Stubborn ✦ Cocky ✧ Immature ✦ Enthusiastic ✧

Rhea is a very loud person. When she talks, she won't always realize how loud she really is, and when she's loud, it's usually because she's trying to defend her point. This happens when she gets impatient, mostly. It's a line out the door of a shop? She'll start complaining. It's an hour's walk to get to school? She'll start grumbling. The remote is too far away? ... Yeah, so clearly, she's not the best at being patient, especially when people try to tell her to be patient. It doesn't always work out too well, which obviously deems her to be incredibly stubborn. Rhea may occasionally argue about something, and often loses, but even so, doesn't back down until she knows that she lost the fight. It's not very fun trying to argue with her in terms of school.

And what better trait for her to have with that than arrogance? Rhea is far too cocky for her own good, especially when she fights with a sword. She's not even too good, seeing how she just joined the school two years ago. She's much better at martial arts, but she still challenges people to fight her when she wants to. She even talks back to teachers if she's in a bad mood. Regardless of who she talks to, she always gets into some form of trouble.

She's one of the oldest kids now, right? She's practically an adult, right? Does she act like one? No, far from it, actually. Rhea is the type of person to appreciate a stupid fun, a dumb fart joke, or when people slurp their noodles or water. She enjoys childish things like that, and even makes a few corny jokes herself. Even if it's immature and stupid, sometimes, other appreciate it too. People can easily see how and when she's enthusiastic about something; there's no grey area. There's a fake smile and a real smile and it's so obvious when she likes or doesn't like something. Her face will give away things for the most part.

LIKES
Swords - Come on, what knight doesn't like a good sword? She'll admire many, but will never let go of her own for another, despite no longer using her sword.
Food - Rhea eats. A lot. And can be bribed pretty easily if you just offer her a free lunch.
Exercising - With her muscles, it shouldn't come off as a surprise that she exercises often. She runs in the morning, again in the evening, does a few push ups and sits ups scattered throughout her day... you get the gist.
Laying About - Nothing's better than doing absolutely nothing. Like skipping out on class and laying on the grass. That's relaxing.
Talking - Despite Rhea's exterior being a bit too aggressive and direct, she does love chatting, whether it's with a friendly stranger or a friend.

DISLIKES
School - Please, she didn't join True Cross just to learn.
Limitations - The sky is the limit! "THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!"
Being Looked Down Upon - Now the worst thing you can do is look down on her. She's already above most people with her height, but to be looked down on in rank... that pisses her off really easily.
Losing - Whether it's a fight or someone she loves, losing anything is never good.
Anything Sour - Yes, she'll eat almost anything, but anything slightly sour will cause her to curl up into a ball and regret eating whatever it was for a while.

TALENTS
Strength - Have you seen her muscles? Because she isn't afraid to show them.
Martial Arts - Knights usually have swords but what if when they lose them? Not a problem for Rhea because she's been practicing martial arts before she even entered the school.
Lying - It's a habit from home. Whenever she wanted to hide something, she lied, and over the years, she grew to become an expert. Except, this only comes from her words. Her facial expressions are a little... harder to control. However, Rhea doesn't lie very often anymore, and would prefer not to. Honest's been her new policy lately.
Perceptive - Rhea isn't exactly the brightest when it comes to her studies, but she's good at reading most people based off personality, habits, and so on.
Witty - She's got a sharp tongue and won't be afraid to use it to offend someone if she's unable to use her fist.

FLAWS
Blunt - Don't ask her if the dress makes you look fat. High chances she will, without a single bit of hesitation.
Acting Before Thinking - You know that quote, 'Think before you act'? Yeah, that's the opposite for her in most cases. Even after she acts she won't think about it.
Aggressive - If she's known, most people would notice that Rhea is naturally more aggressive than most. She's stubborn and her behavior is much like a defensive dog, honestly.
Reckless - Think before your act doesn't exist in her mind. Someone's in a fire? Jump in. Someone's drowning? Dive in. Someone's about to get attacked? Save them. See? Simple as that. Obviously there's not going to be any consequences. Obviously,
Unintelligent - Because she so often skips classes or just doesn't listen, Rhea isn't the smartest academically. She knows a few things here and there, maybe remembers a formula or something, but that's the best you'll get out of her. Don't set your expectations very high.

FEARS
Letting People Die - The only reason she joined True Cross was to save people. If she couldn't even do that much anymore, then what was the whole point of anything?
Faceless Anything - It wouldn't matter if it's a person, an animal, or even just a doll - if it has no face, she'll be terrified of it. She'd be so afraid, it could honestly strike a heart attack.
Being Completely Alone - Lying in the grass in school with no one ground isn't bad. Being alone in her room isn't bad, but the type of 'alone' we're talking about here is that feeling of complete isolation, like there really isn't anyone there. That, is what terrifies her so badly.

"Damn it, life isn't fair... It isn't. The scale's tipped farther down on that side and I've got nothing. The least I could do is mess that up, even if it's just a little."

BIO
Rhea's past isn't that important. Well, the beginning. Of course, she was born from a mom and dad, single child, decent household. She didn't take much of an interest in academics but did adore exorcists and anything that had to do with actions including sports. Nothing happened to them at least. They didn't die. They're still alive actually, healthy, and happy. No, someone else died, and they weren't important to her. They still aren't, but what happened to them hit a spot in Rhea deeply.

It was one day when she was in her normal high school that she stayed afterwards looking for her phone. On her way back, she passed a dark ally, and there was a small family in the back, far away, that looked as though they were screaming. She didn't know why, and their voices sounded so distant and fake that she had to double check, rub her eyes, get a little closer, to make sure she wasn't imagining things. Once she got close enough, Rhea could see this large creature in the background, chasing the family of three down like a wolf hunting deer. She couldn't move or do anything as the family was torn apart and swallowed whole, eaten. Exorcists arrived not much later, but too late since the demon was already gone. The memory haunted her for a long time, a whole year. She was scarred by the sight, and then by the fact that she didn't do anything.

But after growing up and maturing a little more, Rhea left school and transferred to True Cross to become an exorcist. It was her fault that demon took that family, and she wasn't going to let it happen again. Not if she could do something about it.

Sidenote: Her dad is a tamer, and he's always got a giant familiar around that doesn't really respect Rhea.

True Cross is no longer as safe as it once was before. After the incidents of demons cutting loose and attacking students and teachers, security has been strengthened, yet daily classes still go on. Not too much has changed except for the slightly altered subjects and number of fully-fledged exorcists who watch each and every student with absolute caution. Anyone of them could be a demon in disguise, whether they be good or bad. It's not a situation where anyone can let their guards down. Even the teachers are being suspected. Teams have been created to ensure safety and to superiors can watch over students and observe them. Each team is separated into a different activity for the day to put their exorcist skills to the test, even though they just might not realize it just yet...

It had been a regular morning Feo assumed, it was going to be a nice day too. Munch. Then he was woken up and told he was to go out into the woods with his team. Munch. The woods were creepy though, which really didn't bother Feo much, but the excitement of being able to best some demons was overwhelming. Munch. His fingers flew into the plastic bag in his hand and felt nothing. A sadness swept over Feo, Dammit my chips. . . Feo had only brought three bags of potato chips with him out here, and there went bag number three already. He was still so hungry though.

Feo had been braced up on a high branch of the tallest tree he could find, he figured if he was higher up he'd have a better shot of finding Mr. Lost. Which is what he lovingly decided to call the missing teacher. Until now Feo hadn't realized that him scarfing down chips was a horrible idea, a deliciously horrible idea. The crumbs had fallen down below. Which would easily alert near by baddies to his position.

Sighing angrily at himself for making such a novice mistake, Feo perched on the branch to look around, he saw his teammates below, and what he saw a few yards in front of them. . . It was scary. A humanoid shape that was stumbling around, Feo called out to it.

"H-Hey! Are you alright? Stay right there okay?"

Feo was getting ready to jump down to go help the figure, and probably pray over it, just to be safe. However he was stopped cold by it's next move. It combusted into flame and shifted into a monster-like shape. Feo was frozen. Then it was roaring looking around, as it did, it's eyes fixed right on Feo. A wicked grin spread over it's features as it began barreling toward Feo. Feo let out a yelp as he dove from the tree as the beast connected. Rolling few times to disperse momentum Feo hopped up and began chanting a verse. It was meant to bind it, although it had only worked on small demons and rats before.

It didn't matter because the creature cut Feo off with a swing of it's large hands, sending Feo flying into a large rock that was nearby. Sliding to the ground Feo held up a hand and coughed at the knight of the group, who was nearby.

"I'm out, t-tag in."

He figured maybe he just didn't have the fighting prowess needed for this. He'd try again once the beast was occupied. Damn, today had to be the hard mission didn't it.

As Feo watched the creature it became evident to him that he had originally underestimated it, in fact in all is studies he had never seen anything like it. Rising to his feet he pulled out his holy symbol, unfortunately he had left his staff back at the Academy, it was a search and rescue! Not an extermination mission! Feo readied himself, if it charged him again, he'd be ready this time.

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #151B8D
Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #1589FF

xxxxxxxxxRhea placed her hands behind her head while whistling some cheerful tune as her eyes searched the scenery ahead of them. What was so special about this forest in particular? Sure, it was dark, dreary, a bit menacing, but they were trees. Could trees hurt people? From what she remembered, they couldn't. Or maybe they could. Were they demon trees or something? - These were the thoughts running through Rhea's head while she and her team searched for the missing teacher.

'Why'd the teacher go running off anyways?' Rhea thought as her whistling slowed down. 'And to here? Of all places? Jeez...' She yawned. Even though she was perfectly fine with waking up early in the mornings, it seemed like the gloomy atmosphere was getting to her head already, and as exciting as missions were to her, search-and-rescue missions weren't very appealing. She had better things to do back at the academy. Well... maybe she didn't, but she'd prefer more action than walking around in a vast, dead-looking forest for one person. It'd be like finding a needle in a haystack. An incredibly large forest.

Before she could doze off and think about what she'd do upon returning to the academy, Feo's voice brought her back to her senses. "H-Hey! Are you alright? Stay right there okay?"

Rhea's eyes snapped onto the moving figure in front of her and the rest of their group. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously on it. As her vision cleared, her hand reached instinctively for the katana at her waist as she started, "I don't think that's the teacher Feo-" Then, it set fire and charged.

Rhea stumbled out of the way just before it crashed into the tree Feo stood perched in - she wasn't exactly the most graceful in combat. Once she was certain she wouldn't be crushed, Rhea drew out her smooth, onyx-colored katana and wrapped her hands tightly on the hilt. Now this was what she called action.

"Stay in the back of the group Feo!" She called to him once he was slammed into the rock before quickly focusing back onto the creature that was already causing so much damage. "God, it looks hideous..." She shivered and shouted to grab its attention, "Hey!"

Somehow, it worked. The dark, giant creature - whatever it was - turned in her direction. Of course, there was that fear inside that always nagged at her in the back of her head, "Don't do it!" "Be careful!" "Run away!" That was perfectly normal though, and being the stubborn steamroller she is, Rhea ignored it with ease.

As the monster took its swing at her, Rhea blocked with her sword. Thankfully, she was no weak knight, and held her ground against the constant pounding. Knights could do damage to their opponent, but Rhea preferred to draw attention and give the others time to attack in the meantime. She almost got lost in the moment with the adrenaline rush, the feeling of the excitement of a fight. Twice she got lost and nearly dropped her guard before stabilizing and continue to block. But, of course, she was human. Her strength would only last her for so long.

Once she felt her arms grow tired, Rhea dodged the next punch with a roll directly towards the monster. Before it could turn around, she readjusted her grip on her sword and cut at the back of one of its ankles. The creature cried out, and just as Rhea smirked, thinking she'd done it a terrible wound that'd immobilize it, the same bloody ankle swept back at her. Thankfully, none of the blood landed on her, but she found herself being shoved onto the ground. She forgot what breathing was and choked for a spare moment. Her stomach felt horrible... "What... the hell... is that?" Rhea coughed out as she slowly sat up through the aching pain.

Maybe it was just her being over confident and cocky with her abilities that caused her to underestimate their current opponent, or maybe it was something more. Was this thing really the teacher they were looking for? Or was it something else?

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #7A1F1F

Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #000000

Pavel stood with his team in the forest, his arms were crossed and a small grimace was on his face. They hadn’t yet found any sign of the missing teacher that was the object of their current mission. Feo had taken off to get a better look at the area from a nearby tree, but the rest of the team hadn’t yet heard anything back from the would be scout. Pavel suspected that the Aria was taking the opportunity to slack off, probably even have a snack. The Doctor couldn’t blame him however, they had virtually no leads coming into this mission so their success was more a matter of luck than anything else. ’Could they not give us anything more to go on? What a waste of time.’

As if echoing his own sentiment, Reah let out a loud yawn. The Knight was standing a few feet away from Pavel looking undoubtedly bored. Pavel let a small grin cross his face at the sight of the young woman’s lack of composure. He half expected her to follow it up by scratching herself and starting to complain, but she seemed much more intent on her personal thoughts at the moment.

’I suppose we should spread out and start up a search pattern or something.’ Pavel thought, though he had little experience with the idea. Something about a certain number of paces in a uniform direction… Pavel started to open his mouth to get everyone going but before he could lay out his plan he was interrupted by Feo who seemed to be calling out to someone.

Catching Rhea’s comment about the figure not likely being the missing teacher, Pavel followed her sight line just in time to spot the figure burst into flames and charge. Luckily for Pavel, he wasn’t in the storage demon's path as it crashed into the tree Feo had been perched in. Before Pavel could react the creature creature flung the Aira against a nearby rock.

Pavel reflexively put his hand on the saber at his waist. However, as his hand reached the grip it began to shake uncontrollably and the hilt chattered softly against the scabbard. Pavel frowned. ’Why did I even bring it then...’ Pavel thought as he cursed under his breath and withdrew his hand from the weapon’s grip.

Pavel looked back up as he he heard Rhea call out to the creature. The knight had succeeded in getting the demon’s attention. ’Good, keep it busy for a bit Rhea.’ Pavel though as he turned his attention toward the downed Aria. He quickly dashed over to Feo and slid into a crouch beside him. The Doctor began assessing Feo’s condition. This is what he was good at, and he did it with enough subtlety that it didn’t interfere with the Aria’s chanting.

”Better throw a strong one at it Feo.” Pavel mentioned to the Aria as he examined the wounds he took from the blow. Once the Doctor was confident Feo’s condition wouldn’t interfere with the battle and he wasn’t in immediate danger he looked up to check on Rhea.

“Damn it Rhea, focus on defence! We don’t know what it can do!” Pavel called out to the knight who had just been knocked in the stomach and sent tumbling backwards. Rhea seemed to shake off the blow but Pavel noted the wound. In the mean time he tried to asses the Demon, but nothing about its form or actions triggered any ideas. That was not good, one of the most dangerous attacks a demon could use was an unexpected one.

“Try to keep your distance and everyone attack it at once! Let Roman’s demons be the vanguard!” Pavel shouted to the other members of his team, trying to give the give the group a battle plan. He wasn’t as concerned about the team’s demons since he was sure they were more likely to handle the creature better than anyone else on the team in close quarters. Hopefully if they all struck at once they could take it down before it did something to catch them off guard. He just hoped the creature was too enraged to understand the plan he shouted. Though his mind quickly came up with a backup plan.

“Feo, hold off until a moment after the rest attack.” Pavel whispered to the Aria he was crouched beside as he tried to keep eyes on the creature to predict its movements and strategy.

Without a word Karin shot straight up in bed. Her hair stuck up slightly in some places but her expression was tired. She blinked her silver eyes a couple of times, staring blankly at the wall. Karin snapped out of her trance like state when she heard Dores from outside her dorm room. It reminded Karin of why she woke up in the first place, there was light outside but the only way she could tell it was morning was because her stomach was growing and the digital clock that stood on her nightstand of course.

Looking around her room Karin found that it was rather messy but she shrugged her shoulders, dismissing the fact that it was messy Karin pushed herself out of bed, brushed her teeth and got dressed. It took a bit before her energy was up and running but after she ate her energy had completely returned. The Dragoon grabbed her dual pistols and placed them on the holster that were attached on both sides of her legs. She then grabbed her favorite assault rifle and slung it over her shoulder. Running up to the others Karin smiled brightly all ready to go. "Morning my little Seonggyes." she laughed lightly. "So the mission, let's get to it!" she smiled before trudging forward in a goofy soldier march.

Roman took out a cigarette and lit it up. He brought it to his lips and took a long drag then exhaled the smoke from his nose. "How does the school lose a teacher?" he said to himself rather quietly before looking up at the tall trees that surrounded him. Barely any sun got through those thick green leaves that hung on the branches above him making the forest dim and eerie feeling. "What do you think Tsuki? Creepy in here isn't it?" he asked before giving the demon a soft pet on the head. Taking another drag of his cigarette, Tsuki began to make a noise similar to a cat, she meowed in an odd way like she always does when something is out of place and her ears stood up.

"Hmm?" Roman turned around only to hear, not see, rustling and twigs breaking. Cautiously walking over to the noise he realized that the rustling was actually a struggle and the voices of his teammates came into play. "Yo did you find hi-" Roman stopped mid sentence when he saw that thing in front of him. It was attacking Rhea. It all happened so fast, that monster, unlike the ones he ever saw before had Rhea on the ground gasping for air even though she put up a good fight. He looked down and Tsuki who gave him a face that let him know that she was ready to fight. In a swift second he jumped into action sending Tsuki out after she transformed into her bigger and more intimidating and powerful form.

While Tsuki kept the monster busy, Roman took this opportunity to run over to Rhea. He took his hand out for her to grab onto and pull herself up with while smirking slightly. "Watcha doing on the ground?" Once Rhea was up Roman turned his head around just in time to see Tsuki thrown back against a tree, that struck a nerve with Roman. "Oi, Tsuki let's get em!" he half shouted before the demon fox recovered and leaped to his side. "Want to tango big guy," Roman said with a slightly cokced head and a heated grin. His features changed as he felt his partners power rush into him, his hands now bared long sharp nails and his whole appearance looked animalistic. "then let's tango."

Roman leaped into the air with Tsuki and came down with both claws on the creature. Tsuki and him managed to keep him too busy to attack back with their fast paced combos and fighting styles which gave the team a bit of time to recover and get their heads back into the game.

It took a while for Rhea to pick herself up and off the ground. Her mind just kind of went blank for a moment, but it wasn't because she was attacked or anything. Rhea always constantly spreader her energy to every single thing there could be - thinking, speaking, acting, searching, listening... she used every single one of her senses and always tried to distribute the same amount of focus in each area that sometimes she'd forget what was happening because she was paying too much attention to everything. It definitely wasn't the best quality to have as the knight of her team, but it was there regardless and nearly impossible to get rid of.

Thankfully, it only took a moment for her to snap out of it when Pavel's yelling reached her ears a moment after he called. “Damn it Rhea, focus on defence! We don’t know what it can do!”

With hearing that, she slowly sat up, not to get off the ground, but to protest, of course. "I know, I know! My arms were getting tired though and even someone like me's gonna falter in front of that... thing." She watched the monster, not moving her eyes from it as her hand searched the area around her for the hilt of her katana. While Roman's fox demon took care of the creature her own size, Rhea's hand finally reached her dear weapon. 'Damn, if only I'd trained harder...' She scowled to herself. She was never the best knight, and excelled more with her fists than her sword. She was always lacking, to a certain extent, and she still didn't know how to make up for those holes in her swordsmanship. Her erratic and reckless tendencies in combat didn't help much either.

That irritated look was still on her face as she made an attempt to get off the floor but failed as she just landed on her rear a second time. "Watcha doing on the ground?" Rhea looked up and took Roman's hand to get off the ground quickly, not enjoying the lack of movement while everyone else was having their 'fun.' Well, at least her definition of 'fun.'

"I was just seeing what it's like being the damsel in distress, obviously. It's not very fun." Rhea ran her hand over her stomach to feel for the wounds which weren't very great. Perhaps a bit limiting, but not too bad to be kicked off the field of battle. That'd be the worst, and humiliating. "You'll get your turn on the ground soon enough-" She started to say until Roman took off with his demon familiar and started to attack the creature.

Rhea took this little window of free time and observe, as boring as she found it to be. It was a necessary skill to have, especially being one of those to be attacking in the front line. If she didn't take the time to look closely at her enemy, recognize it's fighting style, the pattern it took, then she wouldn't even be a decent knight.

Once she figured she had enough information, which she didn't, seeing how she had no interest in paying attention to 'minor' things like that, Rhea twisted her sword skillfully in her hands and charged into the fight. There was no way of keeping a fighter out of a fight. "You can back down if you're tired now, Mister Badass." Rhea smirked over to Roman. "I'm not letting my guard down so easily this time."

That's right... this time she'd take their doctor's advice and stay away from any more reckless fighting. 'Hold the enemy, don't attack it.' As infuriating as it was for a bull-headed person such as herself, Rhea managed to grab the attention of the creature and swore to herself not to let it look away, even if it meant staying on defense the whole fight.

Feo rubbed his head in pain as he watched Rhea go on the offensive. She is certainly fierce, no doubt about it, she was born for this. Pavel rushed to his side giving him a small pep talk.
"Better throw a strong one at it." Feo nodded, standing with a wince. Shit that thing really got me. Locking his eyes onto the beast, which was being fought on two fronts, the knight and the beast. Well he was the tamer but to Feo he was a beast master who was so good at it, he was a beast himself.

His blue eyes locked onto the monster and he bit his lower lip and bit right through it. His heart was pounding. Not out of fear for himself, but for the creature. What if this was the teacher, what if he was infected. Shaking his head Feo rushed past Pavel and stood a few feet away from the creature with his arms open wide as he practically shouted a chant. A binding verse.

"Let the Lord snuff out all darkness, allow the light to guide the blind into sight. Allow the deaf to hear, the lame to walk, and allow all evils to be bound!" A soft glow hummed around the beast and Feo noticed that it did cause the creature to fall to his knees with a roar.

"I can't hold it long! Don't kill it if possible!" Feo couldn't bear to watch this thing die, something in it's eyes pleaded with Feo for him to understand. For him to help it. A sharp searing pain shot through him. His scar felt like it was on fire. He cried out and buckled slightly and as he did the creature roared breaking the binding. Feo cursed and planted his feet firmly. His mind raced trying to remember the verse his father had taught him, reveal. Reveal. It hit him in a flash of memory.

"I command thee by the holes in our saviors palms! Reveal your true self beast!" He could be wrong, it could just be a monster, but something about this creature whispered in his mind. Help me, it hurts. Maybe it was just his comrades attacking it that caused such thoughts, even worse, Feo felt pain watching it get hacked and slashed at. He was never a huge supporter of killing, yet he knew sometimes it was necessary. He never broke eye contact with the creature. As his concentration was key to reestablishing the bind, that plus the reveal, if there eve was anything to reveal about it. Something about this entire encounter didn't sit well in Feo's stomach. It was as if this encounter wasn't supposed to go down like this. Or maybe that as because his chips were expired. Damn.

Pavel had just finished making sure Feo was alright when one of Roman’s demons finally began engaging the creature. He saw the tamer make use of the time his demon was giving him to help up Rhea. Aries was lucky to have a front line with those two, capable and cooperative in a fight. Pavel clenched his fist, but didn’t let the annoyance in himself distract him. ’Can’t fix it now.’ He reasoned with himself, then shifted his gaze back to the unknown creature they were engaging.

As Roman jumped in to fight the creature Pavel tried to observe its movements. They seemed fluid in their execution, but jagged in their focus. Whenever it was moving to attack a target it moved with efficiency like it was accustomed to fighting, but whenever it switched targets between the tamer and his demon it seemed to stagger or lose focus. The ferocity of the attacks it threw out never seemed calculated or measured, it was throwing no feints. It looked like the creature was throwing everything it had behind each of its attacks, going all out from the first blow to the last. To Pavel the creature seemed to be more like a rabid animal attack than a fight.

Pavel watched as Rhea moved back into the fighting area, giving Roman a reprieve. This time she seemed much more reserved in her fighting. ’Good Rhea, don’t go for an attack we don’t already know is gonna work.’ Pavel nodded to himself in agreement with her fighting style. Still he was worried that the unknown creature might still have some surprises in store for them. Though from its fighting style it didn’t seem the kind to hide a powerful technique or attack, Pavel still had a bad feeling.

Then as a glow appeared around the creature, Pavel finally noticed Feo’s chanting beside him. Pavel grinned as the creature fell to it’s knees and roared, obviously bound in place by one of the Aria’s chants. ’Not exactly what I was thinking, but good one Feo.’ Pavel glanced over at his comrade, keeping his thoughts to himself and not wanting to do anything that could unnecessarily break the Aria’s focus.

”Alrig-.”Pavel started to yell to his team mates to attack it all at once and finish it off, but before he could Feo shouted to them.

"I can't hold it long! Don't kill it if possible!"

Pavel glanced over in confusion at the Aria. Though he recognized the sincerity on Feo’s face. Pavel thought for a moment. ’I don’t get it, this thing is obviously dangerous and hasn’t made any moves that would suggest otherwise.’ Pavel continued to look at Feo for another moment, but his comrade's face remained the same. Some kind of pain, some kind of sadness that Pavel couldn’t see the source of was showing on Feo’s face. There was no doubt in Pavel’s mind that the look on Feo was showing would get worse if they killed the creature now. The Doctor made his decision. He refused to see that.

”Like Feo said! Don’t kill it! Try to knock it out or something if you can! Find a way to incapacitate it before it breaks free of Feo’s hold!” Pavel shouted to his team, lending his own authoritative tone to Feo’s words.

Rhea was now being extra careful as she attacked the monster in front of her. Her arms were sore, core still aching from the last blow she received, and legs growing weak from holding her ground. Even someone was strong as her would grow tired eventually, and she was often a burst of power before eventually slowing down, minute by minute, until she was barely standing. Perhaps not the best quality for a knight to have, but she had to make it work regardless. At least her fight-or-flight response was active, and seeing how it was Rhea... obviously the fight part came into play rather than the flight.

While attempting to hold the creature, one of her hands slipped off of her sword stupidly, a clear sign that she was growing too tired to even have a good grip on her weapon. The blade of her sword dug into the ground hiding beneath the dead leaves and she glanced back up at the demon and then-

"Let the Lord snuff out all darkness, allow the light to guide the blind into sight. Allow the deaf to hear, the lame to walk, and allow all evils to be bound!" Just before she could probably be slammed back down on the ground and create a worse injury for her, she was saved by the group's aria as the creature fell to its knees.

Given the opening, Rhea scattered to get her sword again, frustrated that she was acting up so badly today compared to usual. 'God damn hands! How hard is it just to hold a sword!' She cursed to herself and turned back to the enemy, now feeling a new source of energy. Her frustration and hot-headedness often gave her that last boost, and just as she charged. She was so ready to take that thing down, it was causing enough trouble as it was and she wasn't going to stand for any more of its nonsense.

"I can't hold it long! Don't kill it if possible!" She heard Feo yell.

Then came Pavel. ”Like Feo said! Don’t kill it! Try to knock it out or something if you can! Find a way to incapacitate it before it breaks free of Feo’s hold!”

But just before her sword could reach it, Rhea's feet forced her to come to a dead stop, rolling to break the amount of momentum she had. She nearly rolled herself right into a tree, clumsily. While the creature was held busy by Feo's chant, Rhea turned around, giving both her teammates a stare as if they were insane. "Don't kill it?" She asked, as if such a request was impossible, unheard of, and crazy. "It's a demon, we have to kill it or it'll kill us! God, what are you two lunatics thinking!"

She gripped onto her sword tighter and turned to look at the creature. What did they see in it that she couldn't? It looked like a demon, it was a demon. She should have just killed it, just run it through while it was defenseless and end the mission, just back to the school to lay down and sleep or something. But with two of her teammates saying to keep it alive... "I really hate how my gut's telling me to listen to you two idiots," She grumbled and sheathed her sword, as much as she really didn't want to.

While the creature was distracted, Rhea rushed forward, the hilt of her specialty sword being pull out and upon getting around it, she jabbed it as hard as possible into the monster's back, using any and all energy to knock it out with one last blow. With that last blow came the fall though, and Rhea was right underneath. For a whole second, as the thing wobbled for a spare moment in the air, she didn't realize this until a deep groan began to fall from above her and she quickly sprang out of the way with an accidental shriek.

It was on the ground, knocked out entirely. Who knew when it'd wake up again.

The whole thing was surprising, but once her heart calmed down, she shot a glare in both Pavel and Feo's direction. She didn't get off the ground, being too lazy and tired to at this point, and questioned, "Give me one good reason why we're keeping this thing alive. We've never kept a demon alive for any purpose."

Her eyes slowly opened, Koharu had a rough night. In fact prior to looking at her clock she knew she had slept in, alot in fact. She decided to sleep some more but then she rememebered that today was the day of their important mission. She sighed looking over to her roommates bed. Even her sleepy head roommate had already awoken! She hen shifted her head, purple hair rubbing against the pillow. She sighed when her eyes met the alarm clock. "I must have not turned it on."
She climbed out of bed slowly fixing her hair with a pocket comb. She changed her clothes, packed her guns and began to hike out to the woods. "wierd, why would a teacher just run away?" As soon as she uttered that she was silenced by the sound of battle and the voices of her teammates. She entered the clearing to see Rhea taking down a giant beast new to Koharu's eyes. Though she left it living, she rose an eyebrow as she walked into it. She took the lollipop out of her mouth as she walked into the center of the group inspecting the monster. She has the sniper across her back and winked at Feo and Pavel seductively before putting the lollipop back in her mouth. "I do apologize for being this late you will not believe what I went through this morning."

xxxxxxxxxxAnother bell rings, another morning starts at True Cross Academy, the school for students training to hunt demons. Today, our group of twelve will be starting the day off with John Smith's class - the study of demons. Their teacher has a few things in store for his students today, mainly revolving around them summoning their own demons, studying them, before he gets his chance to show off his two companions for the class to observe and take note of. Although... things may get a little messy, considering it is the infamous John Smith, but then again, it's John Smith we're talking about. He usually has his class under control. Usually.

The man was sitting in his chair, behind the desk his two, dark boots settled to rest on while he reclined back comfortably. Students began to file through the open door, taking a seat wherever, seeing how John didn't care much for seating as long as everyone behaved well enough. The classroom might have vaguely smelled of smoke since he was smoking only a few minutes before another teacher walked by. Now, he was 'reading' a book that was placed right over his face. Was he... sleeping?

Well, after a few students peered at the giant stacks of paper on his desk, they passed it off as the one-eyed man simply catching up on lost rest from the night before. In reality, he was awake, but their notions were right- god was paperwork a pain...

The only reason she was there was because of the class subject and who was teaching the class. Mr. Smith was generally a friendly guy, and very lenient and casual with his students. Plus, he taught things about demons, which she knew she'd have to learn about one day or the other. It'd probably be important, seeing how she had no interest in being killed this year or the next.

She sat basically in the center of the class, pretty much occupying herself with checking her nails and yawning. Why did the class have to start so early in the morning...? Maybe if school started in the evening, she wouldn't mind as much, but this was...

Rhea sighed and hung her head. "Maybe I should just go back and get some sleep like he is..." she murmured to herself upon seeing their own teacher looking like he had a hangover and made an attempt at coming to teach. She sighed again at her own thoughts, letting her head rest on the desk as she continued to debate with herself if she should leave, glancing over at the door every once and a while. Once the class started, it'd be impossible to get out unnoticed.

He knew he could still gain some knowledge out of it, learning about the types of demons, what each was capable of, any weak points, and so on. Even if he didn't learn anything new, he knew he wouldn't have the guts to skip out on class like the a few others could.

What use would that book of his be in such a class? None. It'd be of no help, but for some reason, as long as he held it, he felt a bit safer. Those rumors of demons suddenly popping up out of no where creeped him out... he didn't want to be useless if that were to happen in their class (though even if it did, Haru's memorized all of his lines but always feels too unconfident in his amount of skill).

He didn't even seem to be able to make eye contact with any of the other students walked in the door. He didn't care much if anyone didn't sit next to him or did - he was feeling far to fidgety as usual. Did he bring everything he needed? Did he forget anything back at the dorms? Of course not, he was just overthinking things, as usual.

What use would that be for a kid who could'd communicate with the teacher? It didn't really matter though, Niko had hardly any questions whenever a class was over anyways.

For a long while, he just stared at their teacher. 'How did a goofy guy like him even get this job...?' he thought to himself, and then lowered his eyes beneath his desk where his hands were, covered by those black gloves, as usual. His thumb stroked the palm of his hand, feeling the giant scar beneath the thin fabric. For a second, it almost brought the boy back to those times where there was blood and and pain and-

...He snapped out of it, frowning and cringing uncomfortably. 'I have to focus on class...' Now, he was a doctor for a team of twelve, and class would be starting soon. He didn't want to miss out on learning anything important, and missing out meant knowing less. Knowing less meant probable failure on his part, and he couldn't have that.

Still... when was their teacher going to wake up exactly?

Kardos walked into the class not at all late but not early at the same time. He could tell this would be hell, 'I didn't even want to be a primary! And especially with this class they'll totally turn their attention to me. Hell knows that lazy ass will probably have me teach half of his class!' He knew that due to his constant studying and training Kardos had become kind of like a tamer prodigy. Though to be honest he just wanted to blend in, though being the son of Shura a very skilled Knight famous at True Cross he had his work cut out for him. Kardos walked down the hall he adjusted his robes, he's felt the shifting of his tiny demon friends, mainly hellcats or imps that fit there and could scout or run errands. Many people would squirm and scream though Kardos felt content they would never hurt him.
Kardos walked in and saw a few eyes dart to him, not all the students were here but he still made an effort to not blush in embarrassment. Though he stayed calm and then before moving to his seat looked over to see John passed the fuck out, no, he knew John better. He knew John well, he'll the guy was like his uncle as Shura and Him were good friends. John was definently tired or just being his lazy self. Kardos suddenly whispered a quick word before opening his robe a bit. Out flew a small skull that floated around the room, eliciting shouts of excitement, then it hovered by John's ear. "John wake up lazy head." It rattled off in Kardos voice yet in a near shout instead of a whisper. Kardos didn't wait for his reaction smiled a small grin then strides over to his seat. As he sat he hid his face in a book. The skull then returned to his robe and it was done. Kardos didn't listen to Mr. smith at this point the old man has taught him hell of a lot and this class covered mainly basics. Kardos had himself lost in thought, 'We could summon an old favorite or something new. What are you feeling Blurry?'
'I care little of what you do boy, this is your domain. I am no summoner of demons.' Kardos shook his head the rather talkative and demanding Patron seemed distant and quiet lately. 'Whatever you say big guy' Kardos finally pressed his finger against a page in the bestiary. "Here we are, you will do nicely." He whispered to himself.

She was late, she knew she was late, and yet somehow Athena couldn't exactly bring herself to care. Her hands were in her pockets as she walked down the hall, her scythe looking like nothing more than an odd key that hung around her neck. Getting herself motivated to go to class was a challenge, unlike her sister, who was now a famous exorcist that worked for True Cross, Athena didn't really care to kill her kind. The only reason she was doing this was to find her parents, to uphold her end of the deal so that she could live. True Cross was never exactly kind to demons, but they had been decent enough to Athena and Wren, they hadn't spilled their secret to anyone, not even the teachers.

It was always a risk going into a classroom filled with students trained to hate the beings of darkness, but it's not as though Athena could choose what family she was born into. Her's just happened to be a bit unconventional. Athena took her hands out of the pockets of her uniform skirt, it was about time she went to aforementioned class, their teacher was someone she had never met and apparently was a great exorcist. Athena walked down the hall slowly, as though to savor each step before entering the room only to find it barely full. So she wasn't late after all.

Athena looked to find a desk in the back and soon found a seat, beside a doctor clutching at his prayer book. She frowned, wondering why he looked like like he was about to vomit or burst into tears, or maybe it was both? "You know, you shouldn't come to class if you aren't feeling well." Athena said as she drummed her fingers against the hard surface of the desk.

Punctuality was, without a doubt, something that a hero should never fail to withhold. Yet, Kyo, one aspiring to be such, found himself moving through the halls of True Cross at a brisk jog, one hand swinging by his side and the other holding in place a blade sheathed on his back. As he proceeded to the classroom to which he was assigned, he made sure that he had all of his necessary equipment with him. Two knives, one in a sheathe on his leg and the other in his arm bracer, the sword sheathed on his back, lightweight armor, all was present and accounted for. The reason for his lack of punctuality on this very day would be due to the time he had spent on the school's training field. It was a daily routine for him to wake up early and go train, but today he was caught up in the practice, more so than usual.

Nearing the room that would now be his class, Kyo slowed his pace down to a walk and stopped short of the door. He slowly inched it open and walked in, prepared to give his excuse alongside an apology. Those mental preparations proved unnecessary upon the realization that most students had yet to arrive and the teacher himself appeared to be taking a nap. From the looks of things, most of the people present had a preference to the middle-rear ends of the classroom. Kyo, on the other hand, chose to sit towards the front of the classroom, specifically the seat closest to the door. He had two main reasons for doing so, being near to the front in the event of an emergency will allow him to do his job as a knight better, as well as being near to the exit so he may leave as soon as the class had concluded.

Upon taking his seat, Kyo let out a rather long sigh and laid his head against the desk with his arms stretched out before him. "Ah... I'm just a secondary fighter, aren't I?" He mumbled, referring to the setting of this, so-called, large group team, "I don't understand that. I put in enough training, right? Should I double those efforts? Maybe if I beat the knight currently on the main force, they'll see that I deserve to be on it." With another sigh, Kyo felt his body tension relax. That's easier said than done though. She's got that wicked polearm. Her reach with that thing far outclasses the reach of my weapons.

Today was a lovely day, a lovely day upon which Anzhela could actually see. That rarely was the case, but this morning was one of the rare mornings when she woke up with her contacts exactly where they should be and thusly wore them. As a result her eyes gleamed an unnatural red and could fully observe, fully take in her beautiful surroundings. Well, that’s half true.

Unfortunately the green-haired woman had little opportunity to take in her surroundings as she had to rush to class since she was running late. Punctuality was one talent she usually possessed but today was a special day, though few would really notice as few noticed her so she suspected that today too she’d slip in without being noticed. Now as for how a usually punctual woman would be so not punctual on this particular morning is a humdrum tale, but if you wish to hear it, it is one that can be told nonetheless. But firstly, what you must understand is that Anzhela, who was so prone to losing things and was well aware she was prone to losing things, had not been expecting her contacts to be right where they were supposed to be, and as a result that had been the last place she had thought to look for them when she got up on this particular unpunctual morning.

Imagine her frustration when she woke up, tore her room to pieces in search of the thin crimson circles, failed to find them, momentarily gave up, only to find them moments later exactly where she remembered putting them and exactly where they should be, put them in, and then fully saw the state of her room - the state, by the way, she put it in mere moments before. Imagine further the frustration she felt after considering the fact that she had just cleaned her room the night before. Now, imagine her frustration and horror when she look at the alarm clock by her bed and realized she was a full ten seconds late.

Oh the horror was immeasurable. A full ten seconds. She could run and make up the time, but that simply wasn't something she would be inclined to do. No, certainly not, she would much prefer to simply dread her fate and walk. That required far less effort. Plus, her teacher today would likely be reclining in his chair - as that seemed to be a regular habit for him - and feigning sleep. 'No teacher at our school would really sleep in class, especially not with the recent...mishaps that have been occurring at least.'

Honestly, she loved and hated this class. She loved and hated her teacher as well. John Smith was more lax than the others, but at the same time he liked his students to at least put in their best effort - and he had a good eye for it when a student didn't. Furthermore, she was a tamer. That meant there was an unspoken pressure placed upon her to preform and frankly, she didn't really like summoning her demons for the entire world to see. Part of what made them effective is that they were mysterious. Their illusions were only half as effective once you knew what they were and what they could do. The precariously thin veil - thin lie - they cast gets torn ever so slightly when her opponents wield truth.

Of course, a simpler reason for her disdain for going to class at the moment might simply be she didn't like school and she didn't like being late. She weighed those two thoughts as she stood in front of the classroom door.

As she predicted. She was exactly ten seconds late. With a sigh, she checked her hood - yes, she was well covered - and slipped into the room. Her scarlet orbs quickly picked out an empty seat in the back of the room, one that would allow her to slip into the scenery easily while still giving her the ability to observe the rest of the students. It would do, though it was unfortunate that there were so many other students who had gravitated in that direction as well.

Without a sound, and only a fleeting glance at the teacher who may or may not have been sleeping - though Anzhela suspected the latter was true - she disappeared into back of the room. From her position she easily scoped out the other students. Kyo, the knight was prostrating himself on his desk - likely thinking about his unhappy position as a secondary knight as - in her observation of him in the past - that seemed to be the only prevalent thought he cared for.

Kardos had his nose buried in a book, though even with her contacts she really couldn't see what it was, but if she had to take a guess it was likely a bestiary. Rhea looked as though she was having one of her internal debates, and knowing her, it concerned whether or not she'd actually stay for class. If she had to bet on it, she'd bet she'd decide to leave right before it was impossible to do so and be forced to stay. In the other back corner of the room, only a few seats away was Athena and Haru. Athena was speaking to him, while he looked like a nervous wreck - as per usual.

Niko was exactly one seat away, though she didn't try to speak to him, frankly she doubted he would want anyone to speak to him at all, so she thought it best to respect his wishes. That being said, she couldn't bring herself to act as if she totally ignored him, so she nodded slightly to him instead, she didn't wait for him to respond in kind as she wasn't certain he would and turned her gaze away from him and to the front of the class. She didn't become an honor roll student by not paying any attention in class after all.

"Perfect..."

Petasus was walking down the hall, A bit late...but Petasus wasn't distraught, After non-creepy observation of the man behind the desk, he has witnessed John's lenient tendencies first hand, though, not the best trait to have as a teacher, but, for teaching this group of misfits, it is useful nonetheless. His arms were behind his back, The crimson coat stretching down to his thighs, black dress pants making up his bottom half, A white shirt tied up with a bow tie, A large top hat placed on top of a white mask, Hiding a...Well, Lets be quiet, He might overhear.

Petasus wasn't necessarily a teacher's pet, Doing good in school is something he does already, but he wanted to be someone who people look up to, because it seems everyone decides to look away, he didn't blame them, he just didn't want that to be the case, it can't be helped though, nor it should, If Petasus decides to try something, the responses would be anything but heartwarming.

Petasus lightly opened the door, if class has started, that would be quite embarrassing, everyone seemed to be seated in different corners of the room, Petasus knew that the room mostly consisted of people who wouldn't enjoy his company, but at the very back, Kardos was reading a book, Kardos and Petasus seemed to be on good terms, As they both enjoyed one's presense, Petasus inched up the seats, before sitting one seat from the left, away from the tamer. Nodding as a greeting, Kardos seemed to be mumbling to himself at the same time while reading the book, but Petasus payed little attention, the people that were in the class got the same treatment.

Primaries? Petasus didn't really know about these titles, he didn't know anything about these, except that he was one, Was it by age? Petasus would like to think it was about skill, but that surely couldn't be the case, it doesn't take much skill to fire a gun after all. His teacher, John Smith, was it? His name was in league with generic names such as Bob Doe, and Mary Sue, It seemed like a name straight out of a novel, Well, John seemed to be relaxing, late students seemed to prove little importance, this class seemed to be unfit for a Dragoon too, but Petasus was a different case, Learning about demons would prove as his main priority. Petasus sat on a chair, away from a desk, one hand behind his neck, the hand turning into a pillow, his other hand was spinning one of his unique firearms, It was unloaded, but at another glance, that would be hard to tell.

Being on time and prepared for class was always something Ashitaka found herself proud of, well, being. In fact, she rarely was even absent or late to a class. If she was, chances were it was due to something not very... pleasant as some would say. Of course, Ash had to admit, Mr. Smith's class was by no means her favorite. On the plus side, however, it taught her how to be more effective when facing certain infliction brought on by demons themselves. In the end though, no one could exactly knew everything about demons. Walking into class, Ash bit the inside of her lip as she looked at Mr. Smith...

Sleeping? Really? Or maybe not. Regardless, it was important for him to at least rest before class started. She didn't know about the others, but at least she'd study as she waited for his eventual awakening. Now the question was, who was she going to see by? Glancing over everyone, Ash had to fight off a frown. It looked like everyone was taken, or just didn't want to be bothered with... wait, Rhea wasn't! Or at least, she wasn't before she glanced at the door, which had unfortunately Chikanori waving her to come ditch with him. God, after an entire week of him warning her and a few close friends, it looked like he was making true to his word. Well, at least he was an honest man.

Sighing, and just deciding to take a seat in the row between the back and center, Ash just hugged her bag close. A medical book, supplies in case of emergency, and her gloves carefully placed inside. Without this bag, she'd probably be in serious trouble at some point... she just hoped she wouldn't have to use them anytime soon.

Right, okay, this was completely stupid. A hundred percent. Why did he even have to go to something so... repulsive? Demons and hims weren't friends, by any means, and being a more common, 'go-to' target to ones on the field? Nah. Regardless of how he looked at it, though, it was an outcast. He didn't belong back at his Father's old work place, and to be honest? He didn't belong here, at True Cross, either. Or even walking among humans.

It was disgusting how cruel he was in his own thoughts, not that he cared much. It was just how his mind twisted: Once a being breaks from a herd, it'll always be an outsider.

Ah, shit! He really didn't want to skip alone. At least with Rhea, he could have fun just being an asshole with no one to exactly judge him. Right, it was time to go and drag Rhea the hell outta that horrible class. Stomping his boot down the hallway and stopping outside the Teacher's class, Chikanori scowled as he tried to adjust to who was in there.

Haru, of course... Anthea, Ash, annoying brat-Kyo, Petasus, Anzhela, Niko, Koharu, Rhea, and ah, Kardos. Right, okay, pretty much everyone was there, weren't they? Shit. His eyes met Ash's just as he began trying to get Rhea's attention, pointing down the hallway to an easy 'escape'. After awhile it was sort of rapid, his eyes carefully observing John Smith, who might of not been as tired as everyone seemed to think he was... But then again they weren't exactly worried about skipping like he was.

At least Rhea looked like she desperately wanted to leave...?
