"I'm Valorie--Valorie Ryder. I'm not as little as I look. I'm a trainer looking for new ways to train." Valorie added enthusiastically, without a hint of irony regarding her age. She seemed proud even. As Cynthia and Titania began expressing their plans to leave she almost seemed to space out a little, gaze drifting between everyone present. Given that, it absolutely took her by surprise when she was abruptly scooped up by Titania. She just sort of failed to react for a moment, sluggish to process having been embarrassed like this in front of a member of the indigo elite four. She almost didn't believe what was happening! After a moment she began to pout, but it wouldn't last long.

Titania got as far as the door.

As she rushed to catch up with Cynthia she would come face to face with a familiar set of glowing blue eyes. DIN-01 stood directly on the other side of the door and would prove to be heavy enough to avoid being knocked over if titania ran into her. Synthetic eyes quickly took in everyone in view, stopping on Titania and then Valorie for a moment before finally coming back to rest on Titania again. She then... smiled; amusement was detectable on her expression but she said nothing, merely standing there as if waiting for something. Valorie's gaze shifted to the newcomer an her eyes widened a little. In but a moment she'd forgotten about her humiliation and was now focused entirely on the pseudo-human before her the exceedingly obvious question on the tip of her tongue.

Titania landed hard on her rump, keeping Valorie in her arms. "What on..." She stopped. The robot girl that she had met on top of the mountain was now staring her right in the face, daring her to finish what she started. For once, silence worked in the android's favor, as no words were needed. Titania had fled from a Trainer battle like a coward, and it was time for her to stand up and finish what had been started up on the peak. "Right. Valorie, everyone else, get back. Voltagia, you heard that I made it to the top of the mountain, right? Well, it looks like someone else was there, too, and it followed me here!" She dropped into a combat stance, a look of grim determination on her face. For good or ill, this would be the decisive moment!

...DIN-01 motioned for Titania to follow. She took several steps back out of the Pokemon Center. The doorway, you see, was entirely unideal. After putting some distance between themselves and the center she turned back around and produced a pokeball.

"Right. I know what you're here for." Indeed, the confines of a center were less than ideal. Plus, being outside would let her use the environment in ways previously unavailable. "Voltagia, make sure your grunts stay far back. This is gonna get ugly." Those eyes...those cold, mechanical eyes against her face twisted into a scowl. Just showing this much emotion meant that she was at a disadvantage. She wasn't thinking logically yet. If she didn't snap out of it and get her head in the game, Titania would be in for a swift defeat. The main question was, would Blue lead with Pikachu again? She selected Metagross this time, Charizard's speed having been a serious issue in their last encounter. DIN-01 narrowed her eyes slightly at the metagross as if squinting for a better view of it, analyzing it like the machine she was. She switched balls and in a burst of light a lapras came forth! It's cry pierced souls, instilling a feeling of awe. Without a word she pointed and the lapras seemed to understand.

"Deep Blue!" Titania cried to start the fight. "Use Agility!" Its four legs (arms?) seemed to move with more speed than usual as it relaxed its body, letting the quad-core processor get overclocked a little bit. Better do it now when it still had the HP to tank whatever Blue was planning. Probably a Hydro Pump? Already Titania felt her heart leap into her neck. She needed to play this opening perfectly to have a chance. Water began to froth in Lapras' mouth, but this was no hydro pump. As it sprayed it suddenly arced in an entirely unnatural manner, swirling around Metagross and trapping it in a powerful water twister that pulled and yanked at its body. Blue had a smirk on her face--This was exactly what she'd expected. What the--a Whirlpool? This was certainly a surprise, but now that she had had a turn to zone in, Titania was a bit more analytical now. No pun intended. Meteor Mash wasn't a sure thing, but it was the strongest she had because it totally had the bulk to take one grass knot. "Deep Blue! Use Meteor Mash!" One of its arms charged up with luminous energy before rocketing forward through the wall of water, aiming to smack Lapras right in the gabber, even sacrificing some of its own vitality to lend extra power to the blow thanks to the pulsing orb attached to its underside.

Lapras seemed to brace herself for the impact, not much bothering to try and dodge. Slugged, her slid through the air momentarily unable to control herself before regaining composure and... raised her head. A directed song emitted from her mouth, a grim tune--Perish Song. With the whirlpool obstructing Metagross' body, following it wherever it may go, it had nowhere to run. Valorie meanwhile sat in the snow nearby, watching. Judging by Lapras' appearance, she was not about to go down to a second meteor mash. Not only was Lapras ready to take another meteor mash to the face, but now Deep Blue was on a countdown. This madness had to stop fast. Plus, Titania could still feel those awful notes ringing in her ears. "That's enough out of you! Deep Blue, shut her up with Grass Knot!" The vegetation that hid wild Pokemon rose up to entangle the water-type beast and bring her down to the ground, using the massive size of the Transport Pokemon to its detriment.

Lapras emitted a shrill cry as she was slammed into the ground, body recoiling at the... disgusting greenery. For a moment it didn't appear she was going to get back up, laying there still as a rock...Whirlpool was not stopping. After a moment Titania would likely notice Lapras' wounds fading, her health rapidly regenerating. ...She was using rest. "Oh, fuck all kinds of Psyduck!" Titania cried. At most, she was only going to get off two more attacks before both Lapras and Metagross would succumb to the song, and Meteor Mash wasn't going to do it. It had to be two Grass Knots if she wanted the knockout, and it had to be right here and now as it rested and regained energy. The plant life continued its assaults with Grass Knot, battering Lapras upside the head and working underneath her shell as if to pry it off, while others still just used tree branches to beat whatever they could reach.

'Blue' watched with mild interest, seemingly unfazed. Lapras was smased into the ground, but the whirlpool remained. It seemed DIN-01 intended to force Metagross to accept its fate. The third grass knot came and Blue finally returned the fallen Lapras, but it was too late for Deep Blue. Perish Song drained him of every last ounce of energy. Titania groaned with disappointment. DIN-01 produced a new ball and threw it. This time a Venasaur emerged, planting it's feet into the snow with determination. Titania's choice was a Lucario and it was ready to brawl. "Huntress! Use Retaliate!" Filled with righteous wrath at the defeat of her comrade Metagross, the Lucario darted forward and put all of that anger into a tremendous blow before returning to a ready position.

Crack! A fist slammed into Venasaur's skull, the sound of which could be heard for nearly a mile. Ouch! ...Venasaur didn't so much as budge, no matter how much that looked like it hurt. Instead, it abruptly began shaking the large flower on it's back, emitting a cloud of spores that covered the immediate are. Choking the unfortunate Lucario that had charged foolhardely into Venasaur's face and knocking it out cold. Things were quickly going from bad to worse for the human trainer. Down one Pokemon already, and another one was effectively knocked out due to being put to sleep. "Huntress, return! Go, Bomber!" She switched to Skarmory, expecting an earthquake from the massive Venusaur which the metal bird could dodge easily. The plan here was to force a switch and get a turn to put down some spikes. If she was going to get out of this hole, she needed all the help she could get! This plan, of course, backfired horribly. Venasaur emitted a battle cry and the sun intensified. It then combo'd into a powerful hidden power ... fire. The blob of firey energy soared straight through skarmory, scorching the unfortunate bird.

"That's nothing! Bomber doesn't just go down in one hit like that!" Titania asserted more to keep herself calm. There was no way Blue could even process attempts at intimidation. "Go for the win with Drill Peck!" Skarmory let out a loud screech and shot up into the sky before diving down at the weakened Venusaur, leading with its beak and rotating its body in a drilling motion. She couldn't afford Whirlwind right now. Not only did this let Venusaur return later, but she also ran the risk of dragging out Charizard in the process. Venasaur cried out in pain this time as it was repeatedly struck with the needle-like beak of Skarmory. After all was said and done... she collapsed with a sigh. It seemed that Skarmory's drill peck and Lucario's retaliate had been too much for her. This, of course meant one thing--A ball flew and this time Charizard took the field. Her wings immediately began to glow with a fiery intensity, almost as if they were translucent. The powerful sunlight seemed to be being absorbed...

Charizard lunged forward, quickly closing the distance between the two pokemon and crashing into Skarmory in a powerful flare blitz.

Titania flinched as Bomber literally went down in flames. Down 4-5 and time for the girl from the repair shop to make a crucial decision as to who to switch in next. Huntress was effectively out of the fight, so that limited her options to three. Claw and Painkiller would just get smacked the same way, so the choice was clear. "You're in charge, Tesla! Clip his wings with a Thunderbolt!" A simple red balloon attached to the top of its antenna swayed in the breeze as it started charging up electricity for the attack.

'Blue' frowned, watching her winged beauty crash into the magnezone and... fail to stop it from electrocuting her. Charizard crashed into the snow nearby with a thud and a weak groan before being returned. DIN-01 was quick to move on however, tossing out another ball. This time a snorlax emerged. The gigantic pokemon immediately fell on it's butt, yawning. She was... bored? No. Snorlax was emitting a sort of battle cry, summoning her inner rage and bringing it out. It was... a curse attack!

This was the chance Titania needed! "Tesla, use Volt Switch! Get back here!" The Magnezone didn't so much ram into Snorlax as bounce off of its rolls of fat, but the recoil gave Titania a free switch. "You're up, Claw! Use Rock Slide!" With the power boost from Curse, one attack wouldn't do it even from Excadrill. She needed Snorlax to back down from all the boulders slamming into its face, made easier this time because now they could actually come down from above due to their location. She wanted to use Sandstorm, but an earthquake from Snorlax would wipe out her chances of victory. COME ON FLINCH HAX! Several boulders crased down on Snorlax's head, rolling down her back and--What was that? It didn't seem to have any effect. If it had actually hurt Snorlax, it definitely wasn't showing. Snorlax did flinch however, distracted by the sudden surprise headbump.

"Yee-haw! Take that, you overweight son of a Swalot!" Excadrill taunted its foe. "That's great, Claw! Now's our chance to turn this thing around! Use Earthquake!" Excadrill yelled again. "Mighty Groudon, I call on your strength! Help me win this fight for my master!" His claws slammed deep into the soft earth, causing the ground underneath Snorlax to shake violently. Snorlax was rocked and knocked into the air, ...for about half a second. She crashed down onto her back, nearly generating an earthquake of her own... and then got right back up. Not much worse for wear, it seemed Titania may have made a grave mistake. Snorlax began using curse again. It was only a matter of time until punishment came.

Time to think? Not likely. The more time Titania took, the stronger Snorlax became until it became capable of shrugging off everything she had left and KOing back. There was one thing she could try to whittle it down that much faster, though. "Claw! Now's the time! Use Sandstorm!" The sun was quickly blotted out and replaced with a raging wind, bringing with it loads and loads of particulate. If Snorlax was just going to boost up again like she thought, Claw was going to need the chip damage to have a chance.

Snorlax, of course, did exactly as expected. Completely disregarding the sand scraping against her body she continued to power up. And why did she have any reason to do otherwise, anyway? Blue knew she had this fight wrapped up, but Titania had one more trick she wanted to try. "All right, Claw! Now drill her with Iron Head!" The Excadrill leaped into the air, raising its metal claws to form a single drill with the crest on its head, and like Skarmory before him slammed into the massive foe, again trying to deny it the opportunity to set up further with the ferocity of the blow.

Snorlax stopped what it was doing as Excadrill tried to drill into her. This of course failed horribly and Excadrill practically bounced right off of Snorlax--Wait, what's that? Snorlax emitted a lazy cry and fell over bodily!...A moment passed, and she began to snore. It was rest! All progress had been lost.

Titania couldn't believe it. Blue was going to try to ride out the onslaught with a few boosts? Nice try, but Claw's Swords Dance would go a big way towards leveling the playing field and giving her a chance to get back in the fight. "Claw, get hype with Swords Dance," she coughed with a hand over her mouth to avoid breathing too much sand. "Then let her have it with more earthquakes."

As Excadrill began performing a swords dance... Snorlax got right back up. Wait, was she up? It was hard to tell--Snorlax was drooling and sniffing, looking around hungrily. She appeared to be... sleep walking--Or sleep talking as some might put it! Her gaze fixated on Excadrill and she lunged, grabbing the unfortunate excadrill right as he came off his swords dance and shoving him in her mouth, where she bit down -hard-. Crunch! Blue watched with a perpetual wide grin on her face. Valorie meanwhile appeared ever so slightly horrified by the spectacle of Snorlax attempting to eat Titania's pokemon.

"Get your paws offa me!" Claw screamed in Humanspeak as Snorlax bit down hard on its body, its sturdy steel armor being the only thing saving it from an ignominous defeat right then and there. "Since you liked the last one so much, here's another earthquake for ya!" it added, switching back to Pokespeak as it struck the ground for another seismic event. And possibly causing another avalanche given all the shaking going on in such an already volatile area.

The distant roar of an avelanche was heard, but it was not heading their way. Most of the loose snow had already been cleared from this area by the previous one. Snorlax took the earthquake with about as much grace as a spoiled child. She recoiled slightly in pain as if shocked that her supposed meal had resisted her. She clearly wasn't entirely in reality, given her being asleep. A grimace distorted her expression and she reached back, fist glowing with icy energy. She then pile drived Excadrill into the earth, utterly shattering any dream of winning the battle alongside several other more painful losses.

"Ow..." Claw grunted as it hit the deck, his valiant efforts all in vain. It was now a weakened Magnezone, a sleeping Lucario, and...wait! ONE MORE THING. "Painkiller, front and center!" A massive steel-plated dinosaur roared in defiance at those that would sully this beautiful mountain. Snorlax was about to wake up from its little nap...everything rode on this turn. If she guessed wrong, game over. "Painkiller, use Taunt!" This was to prevent Snorlax from just nodding off the damage from the last attack, after which the second part of her little stratagem would be made evident.

Snorlax opened her eyes, grinning in a goofy manner. She was as unfazed as her trainer, who seemed to have her arms folded no almost expectantly. Snorlax seemed to lick her lips, giving a hint at what was to come. She lunged forward and grabbed hold of Painkiller, not quite lifting the aggron above her head but simply leaning forward and chomping down on the steel pokemon with delight. It seemed that even when she was awake she was disgustingly voracious. Was there anything she wouldn't eat?! ...Valorie certainly seemed uncomfortable watching this anyway.

Painkiller's superior physical defense allowed it to cry in pain, but it was a gamble letting the beast stay in. Like two Hariyama in a sumo match, the super-heavy opponents pushed against each other for a while until Aggron had its horns lined up. "Now, Painkiller! The second part of our plan!" The Aggron's body glowed all over with energy, waiting for Snorlax to try to finish its snack. If the armor managed to hold, it was going to get a nasty surprise in the form of Metal Burst.

Snorlax nommed happily on Aggron, only to abruptly have a hyper-kinetic grenade go off against her stomach in the form of metal burst. The giant pokemon stepped back and wobbled before crashing to the ground. This time she did not snore, or lax. Blue seemed a tad disappointed, but it didn't last long. She tossed out one of her remaining pokemon and... Pikachu entered the battleground! The electric rodent immediately beelined for Painkiller and lunged into his belly, curling and lashing out with her tail to strike Painkiller with a devistating brick break that threatened to bust balls and anything else in it's way.

Painkiller grunted as Pikachu darted underneath and hit the dino in a way no man ever deserved to get hit. He fell to his knees as the rodent darted back to Blue's side, safely out of the radius of the crater left by his collapse. Magnezone couldn't do anything..."Huntress! You gotta wake up right now! Use Close Combat!" Naptime was over, and now Lucario was able to focus all of her energy not into getting revenge, but in a cold and calculated series of vicious blows designed to grasp victory. Unfortunately, the sandstorm had died down...

Pikachu however was having none of that. Speeding towards Lucario as if to meet her she suddenly changed courses, faking the newcomer out and lunging in for a cheap shot right on the snout the moment she got an opening. Huntress, for her part, didn't back down at all from the unexpected blow due to her focus and steadfast determination, and in came the flurry of furry ferrous fists. Pikachu was sent flying, battered and bruised, into DIN-01's arms. ...The rodent pokemon refused to go down, hanging on by the skin of her teeth. Stumbling out of DIN-01's arms she came right back at the lucario, a suicidal charge by all accounts but not without purpose. She suddenly dove and bounced off the ground to meet lucario at head height, intending to clash, brick break versus close combat. There could be no winners to this sort of vicious fight.

"Don't gimme that shit!" Titania screamed. "Huntress, use Extremespeed!" Instead of finishing with another punch to the face, the Lucario instead seemed to disappear from sight for a single crucial moment before sucker-punching the frail mouse in the back of the head as it went to do its cute little brick break trick. Pikachu was struck down in it's moment of glory, collapsing to the ground. Disappointment. The next pokemon to appear was Blastoise. The turtle pokemon flexed her arms, staring down Titania's lucario.

Gut check time. Its shell was tough enough to shrug off a close combat, but did she have the time to whip out a potion for Tesla? No, she didn't. For all its looks, it was actually faster than appearances let on. Faster than a Magneton. "Huntress, return!" she cried out. "Go, Tesla!" She felt horrible about throwing her friend under the bus like this, but Huntress needed to rest and Titania needed to learn more about what tricks this thing had in its cannons. For her trouble she got a scald attack, burning hot water spraying down the magnezone where it floated. Blastoise's cannons smoked with steam. Titania's ears would be shooting steam as well, if this were some sort of corny cartoon. For a job well done, Huntress was sent in to try to finish the fight where everyone else had faltered. "Huntress! Use Retaliate!" Yeah, Close Combat would have been stronger due to Lucario's affinity for the move, but she needed to be ready for the counter-attack.

Blue got this devilish grin on her face, probably the biggest of them all! For it was she who would have the last laugh. Retaliate struck home and Blastoise turned her cheek, sliding back several feet but refusing to be knocked over. Both cannons turned, and a vicious water spout attack tore into Huntress, pulverizing her with crushing force.

No. This would not be the end. Lucario was launched right into Titania's bosom and the two of them crashed into the ground, the trainer with the wind knocked out of her and the Pokemon hanging by a thread...partly because of the soft landing. "Huntress, please tell me you're all right," Titania coughed, and Lucario barked affirmatively. "This is it, robot! I won't lose to you! Huntress! Crack that Blastoise with your Close Combat!" Now what needed to happen was easy. Blastoise needed to fall, Lapras would come out, and Lucario needed one more knockout with Close Combat to win the match. Lucario howled in fury as she launched herself forward, striking hard and fast at the shelled Pokemon, needing it to go down before it could compose itself for one final attack.

Blastoise closed her eyes, shielding herself from the blows theat struck her shell. It was no use however, a foolhardy hope. Blastoise wasn't quite down, nor was she even hanging by a thread. Her cannons twisted and a scald attack spelled boiling doom for Huntress. Titania fell to her hands and knees, panting from the futile effort. Was all her training not enough? Despite having been an Elite? What was she missing...? "Huntress...r-return..." Tears fell to the ground, knowing that today her best just wasn't good enough. What would Jessica think..? The crunch of snow approached, and a cold hand reached down to grasp for Titania's attention. It was DIN-01, standing directly before her now and perhaps even invading her personal space a little. If Titania looked up, and goodness hope we aren't talking about 'Blue's skirt, she would find that a raging fire blazed in DIN-01's eyes alongside a thrilled grin. She nodded and gestured over at Valorie. She then gestured at Titania, and then at herself. It seemed she was suggesting something. Perhaps it was battle lust in her eyes, and she was suggesting Titania and Valorie team up against her? Valorie got to her feet, seeming to notice this. She was excited at the prospect. Cynthia, for her part, had been watching the entire spectacle from a safe distance, and she was quite frankly horrified. "Leave her alone, you've done enough," she yelled at the android before helping the defeated Trainer to her feet. "I...I had no idea you had such a savage beast in you. Almost like that Zoroark that was here earlier...come on, we need to get you back inside. You've had a long day." Titania nodded weakly, too exhausted and depressed to muster so much as a "yeah, okay."

"I'll battle her." Valorie exclaimed, a certain decisiveness to her tone. She seemed to be speaking to Cynthia, offering. DIN-01 nodded slowly, though her eyes held disappointment. Who was this short girl in the skirt? Probably a weakling... She disregarded the others for the moment and moved to go heal her pokemon in the pokemon center, like any normal trainer would--Only without words. "W-what? Really?!" Cynthia was incredulous, but nevertheless let the girl have her shot. After all, there were other things that needed attention right now. Like healing a broken spirit.

Valorie took Titania's place on the battlefield, pokeball in hand. She did not throw down however. She'd seen how DIN-01 had taken advantage of knowing what she was up against last battle. She waited until DIN-01 lost patience and threw out her own ball instead, which didn't take long. The battle lust was strong, waiting was hard. It was Venasaur. Valorie narrowed her eyes for a moment before she herself switched pokeballs and sent out her gliscor.

The scorpion pokemon hung in the air, tongue stuck out almost tauntingly. Blue narrowed her eyes, analyzing the pokemon present. "Alright Gliscor, get ready to fight! Use agility!" Valorie called out. DIN-01 seemed torn, but Venasaur shook off a storm of spores regardless, attempting to put the dangerous pokemon to sleep. It... had no effect. The spores hit, but Gliscor appeared to be immune to their effect. Taking initiative and with knowledge of what Venasaur was capable of Valorie only continued. "Swords Dance!" she exclaimed, eyeing Blue confrontationally.

With tenacity Valorie had stolen the advantage and was keeping Blue forced into very difficult choices. This was a very bad matchup, and switching her venasaur out wasn't much better. if she didn't predict right. Yet, she had very little choice. Venasaur was called back before she even got started and in her place Lapras joined the battle. A second agility followed, but Valorie was no fool. She saw the ice type attack coming. It was time to take action. "Now, baton pass!"

Gliscor's energy manifested itself as she was returned to her pokeball, staying behind for the next pokemon to come out. It was... Dragonite?! The massive, 12 foot tall dragonite appeared with a thud as she landed on the ground, only to be blasted with an ice beam immediate. Crying out, the now irritated giant pokemon turned on DIN-01's lapras, having failed to take her down. Dragonite glowed with a powerful blue aura, lunging out grasping Lapras. With one powerful heave she simply threw Lapras over her shoulder, slamming the pokemon into the ground and creaeting a small crater in the process. Ice beam didn't seem to have done a great deal, other than piss her off.

'Blue' was taken aback. She had no answer to this problem, nothing that could step in and take such powerful attacks, and she knew it. Pikachu came in and was merely shrugged off and stomped on. Blastoise came in and had her shell shattered. To call 'Blue' brutal would've made this looked like a war crime, with the understanding that Dragonite didn't seem to have to try very hard. Such was simply raw strength taking casualties left and right. Charizard was swatted out of mid-air with a swing of Dragonite's gigantic tail. All the while Dragnite seemed to be roosting when possible, resting off the damage against foes that could not hope to bring her down.

Finally Venasaur came and the clouds darkened. Thunder crackled in the distance and a powerful wind rocked the mountainside, both battlers' skirts swaying chaotically in this new storm. Suddenly a burst of directed wind slammed into Venasaur, ripping her off the ground and sending her flying into her own trainer. Trapped, DIN-01 was forced to return Venasaur to free herself, where it was revealed she'd suffered mild damage from being crushed. One of her arms appeared to be hurt, and Valorie frowned in disappointment. She would've apologized, but the wind was simply too strong. Finally, Snorlax. Valorie smirked, feeling the urge to show off hit her. "...Alright Dragonite--Combo! Hurricane and Twister!" she called out over the roaring winds.

A twister began to form, but then the winds of the hurricane fed into it and it's growth increased exponentially. Within moments a full blown tornado had erupted, it's winds directed at Snorlax.Though the battlers could hear the deafening roar of the wind, they only felt a tiny fraction of it. Snorlax however got the full brunt, and after a moment she was yanked into the air, twirled around several times and simply thrown right off Mt. Silver. A flying snorlax was seen that day. DIn-01 made a move to chase the flying pokemon but something akin to pain in her right side stopped her.

The battle was over, and Valorie had won a brutal victory, and yet... seeing DIN-01 struggle with the wound she'd recieved in the crossfire brought a frown to her face. The storm died away as quickly as it came as Dragonite seemed to relax. Valorie walked over to DIN-01, whom was now somewhat doubled over, and helped her to stand up straight. She then reached down and began to feel up DIN-01's side, searching for the wound where it seemed like se was hurting. However, non-human insides merely left her with confusing sensations and a rude push from 'Blue'. Rather than simply not wanting to be handled, Blue appeared to be applying medicine to her remaining pokeballs! A big grin was on her face, entirely out of place given the context. She then held out a pokeball, doing her best to stand up straight. She was challenging Valorie again, an almost insane battle-lust in her eyes. Valorie grapped DIN-01's wrist, only to notice that a bluish, fiery halo had begun to burn just above her head. She stared in wonder for a moment as DIN-01 stared back in shock at her aggressive grab before Valorie pulled DIN-01's arm around her shoulder and began to help her back to the pokemon center.

"You've gotta watch who you're hitting, Dragonite..! Can you imagine if their trainer wasn't metal?" she lectured half-heartedly as she helped a reluctant and now flustered DIN-01 inside. The halo had vanished. Cynthia only had one thing to say about the epic ass-kicking that had just taken place, but Titania beat her to the punch. "What the FUCK did I just watch?!" In response, Valorie offered the two of them her best smile and a slightly embarrassed blush.

Nathan tilted his head at the newcomer, but still said nothing as he followed Valorie and stood by his trainer as she sat in the snow nearby the battle. After a while he raised a brow as each of Titania's pokemon started to fall, then he lowered his brow when Titania's Excadrill, Claw, used earthquake whilst uttering the name of Groudon as he did so. In fact, Nathan almost seemed to let out a small, low growl at the name "Groudon" as if he didn't like the Pokemon of Legend at all.

After that had happened, Nathan stayed silent as he then crossed his arms and watched the rest of the pokemon battle unfold, his eye occasionally twitching when a particularly hard hit struck, almost as if he were flinching in pain for his fellow pokemon. Then, after the battle was over, it seemed that the 'trainer' had gestured towards Valorie as if to ask her to battle, and Valorie accepted the challenge eagerly. Nathan had reached down to help Valorie up, but by then she was already up, a small layer of snow on the shoulders of his jacket that currently was being worn by her.

Nathan followed his trainer and stood behind and to the left of her like an obedient pet, just in case she decided to use him in the battle. However, it seemed that he would not be needed, as Valorie's Dragonite was more than enough to handle the "Blue's" pokemon....all of them...

After the battle was over, Nathan walked up to Valorie's Dragonite and looked up and locked eyes with the behemoth, a look of respect and amusement within Nathan's eyes. "Remind me not to anger you." was all that Nathan would say to the Dragonite in pokespeak. before blinking and walking towards the Pokemon Center, following Valorie inside without a word. In fact, it was almost like the other humans either didn't know or had forgotten that he was here, which slightly amused him.

But, he felt that it wasn't his place to talk at the moment, so he didn't.

Nearing the top of Mount Silver...

"Hey..." Winter's voice was nearly muffled by the absurd amounts of wind and snow flurrying around him as he talked to his best companion, "Remember when we went through the Ice Path and I nearly died because I took my jacket off?"

"Squir..." came Lucky's acknowledgment from within a bundle of clothes he was wrapped in on the trainer's back.

"Even with our protection, I think this is worse."

Not exactly the most positive words to come out of the trainer's mouth, but a bit of realism here and there was acceptable. Especially when he was nearing the peak of one of the most treacherous mountain climbs in all of Ruula. It felt like the wind could literally blow him off the mountainside and yet there was little air to breathe at all. An odd contradiction to one of the most insane weather conditions he'd been through to date. He'd even been here before and never experienced antagonistic climate the way this snow and wind was.

Then again, the last time he'd been here, he never went to the peak.

They'd already done their reminiscing over the past couple of days on their wacky and wild adventure in the lower parts of Mount Silver. It was where Glist evolved to join his brother and sister in their Eevolved state (yes, the two "e"s are necessary). It was where they found Rio, who challenged all of them to a battle of might on a small cliff side and eventually joined their team out of respect for their prowess. It was where they all saved and befriended one of the most powerful allies any one human being could have...a Legendary Bird he lovingly nicknamed Arty. And now, nearing the peak of the mountain...

It would be where one of the most important battles of his life would go down.

The current Champion of the Region knew what lied ahead...somewhat anyway. Everything Titania knew about this trainer she relayed to Winter, but that wasn't a lot of information to go off of. A Pikachu with Brick Break and a Charizard with Belly Drum were the only two opponents he knew this particular individual would fight against him with. Other than that...she could have anything. And in this climate with his current team, that made him anxious. Now more so than ever now that he was actually making the climb to the top.

But he had come prepared. He currently wore two parkas, gloves, snow pants, snow boots, thermal underwear...anything he could get off the Champion's budget. And that budget was remarkably high. He'd even bought some specialty clothing for Lucky since his companion didn't have a PokeBall to retreat to, nor did he want one. He had his team set-up, trying to build the type spread as much as he could. And for Lucky in particular, he had an item he'd never thought about using before...

"Still got that thing I gave ya, buddy?" Winter felt the need to call back to the Squirtle over the howling winds, even though he was right on his back.

"Squir!" Lucky gave a confirmation.

"Okay, good! We're just about there!"

And just as he said that, there they were. He never thought he'd ever see the day when he'd stumble upon someone standing in the snow waiting for them, especially on a mountain this violent. But here she was, the metallic looking girl with the wide brimmed hat staring off, her back turned away from Winter. Every event from the past year had been leading to this moment and he was still slightly in awe that it finally arrived. There she was...the prize waiting to be won.

And here he was...ready to avenge the Iron Maiden.

"Hey!" came Winter's initial shout.

For a very, very long moment naught but the wind faced Winter's call. The solemn quiet of the mountain was its own reward for a weary traveler desperate to collect themselves after a difficult journey, but that wasn't why Winter was here. He was here in search of a supposedly powerful robot, a seemingly mythical force of science that had managed to take down a champion. And to his credit...

He'd come to the right place.

The first thing Winter would see was a pair of golden lights gently bobbing before him. They pierced through the veil of snow, two symmetrical little orbs dancing rhythmically in the weather. As the lights drew nearer, a pair of dimly glowing eyes would be revealed to be behind them. These eyes, in turn, gave way to what might appear to be a young girl. However, her skin had a metallic texture to it and her joints were segmented, not unlike a ball jointed doll. This was no human, if not because of her looks than because she was effortlessly enduring the onslaught of freezing weather in naught but a mini skirt and what appeared to be a modest tank top. An ambiguous little smirk graced her face as she descended the mountain, her eyes locked on Winter's.

" . . . "

...But the robot offered no reply. That look on her face, the way she looked straight at Winter without quite acknowledging him--as if she were looking straight through him. It said everything she needed to. That was the gaze of a killer, ...or perhaps just any given robot. Either way, it lacked a certain humanity that might be unnerving if one weren't used to being looked at that way by other humans. In spite of her obvious inhumanities, she had a certain personality to her. The way she moved, the way she gingerly shielded her eyes with one of her hands. To what purpose had one designed a robot like this, and how had they accomplished something this... close to humanity?

It didn't seem like the young robot girl intended to explain herself. She stopped about 20 feet from Winter, leaving plenty of feet between them, and placed her hands on her hips almost expectantly, her pinky finger teasing one of the tiny pokeballs attached to her waist. None of them were primed just yet, but the gesture still teased at what she desired. Straight to the point, it seemed.

Winter couldn't help but shudder...not because of the wind but because of the stare he was receiving from the challenger. He'd been warned that she would cut straight to business, but experiencing it firsthand was a different animal. It appeared that she had a calculated method of going about it. There was no smile for it was a smirk. There was no friendly stare waiting for him but these shimmering eyes that gave him a sense of dread. No words to go off of, but body language to express her desire to get things started already. And still she held a uniquity in her appearance. Winter already knew she wasn't human, but what actually was she? Where had she come from? And why was she here, imposing her will against Champions and the like?

To what gain did it give her?

"Alright..." Winter prodded over the wind, trying to provoke a response, "You, uh...you gonna say anything?"

Nothing.

"Alright then," Winter's stance widened slightly as he drew a PokeBall from his own belt, his eyes flashing with energy, "Then I can talk. Lady...thing...I'm here to challenge you to a Pokemon Battle. A 6v6 contest to see who between us is the better trainer!"

"Squirrrr-tle!" Lucky took up his own stance behind his trainer.

As customary to these formal duels he'd been trainer about for four years, he'd let the android-like girl showcase her first Pokemon before he brought out his. It had been awhile since he was the challenger, but he hadn't forgotten the rules. The question remained, however...was she going to abide by them?

DIN-01 lolled her head to one side in confusion in response to Winter's challenge. Without any words to compliment her body language it wasn't clear what exactly it was about what he'd said to elicit that reaction but, sure enough, she plucked a pokeball from her waist and primed it in preparation to engage Winter. She seemed to consider the pokemon he had sent out for a moment, quietly rolling the enlarged ball out of her palm and onto the ground. From it, a pikachu emerged. The heart shaped curvature at the end of her tail identified her as being female, but otherwise, there wasn't much to observe about the pokemon! That is to say, there was nothing strange about it, at least. The mouse pokemon shuddered in the cold, but quickly shook off her discomfort by shifting onto all fours into a battle-ready position and beginning to bounce rather energetically.

...And then, DIN-01's move came. It came without a command, or any real warning really. DIN-01's pikachu abruptly shot across the snow, using its light weight and decisive speed to cross the icy battlefield without ever really succumbing to any difficulty moving about. And then--she stopped. DIN-01's pikachu was baiting out a defensive action on Winter's part, and by all accounts one was warranted. Yet, Pikachu's attack never came. The pokemon abruptly made a U-turn just before committing to slamming into Winter's squirtle and quickly darted around the pokmon's side away from it. This was known as Fake Out. Pikachu then began running circles around the battlefield, picking up an enormous amount of speed as she literally began running circles around Lucky. An experienced trainer might recognize this as the move agility. As Pikachu did this, her increasingly egregious speed began to kick up snow behind her, creating a little wall of thick icy mist around Lucky that hampered his visibility, allowing her to duck in and out of the wall very so often as she ran to keep either Lucky or Winter from pinning down where exactly she was.

The wind picks up, carrying a mournful wail with it as it settles over the battlfield.

By some horrific turn of fate, DIN-01 had become hostile before Winter even sent out his first pokemon. It seemed like she'd confused Lucky for his active choice. Boy, chivalry really didn't pay these days huh. Not only that, but she was being a bit reckless in targeting him. She could very easily hit Winter himself if he weren't careful! Albeit, Pikachu did make a ... small effort to avoid him. He was unlikely to actually get hit unless he got in the way.

"Woah!" Winter cried out and held up his arms when the sprinting Pikachu beelined directly towards him, only to watch it barely miss his right leg, graze past Lucky, and sharply turn around, heading back towards the space in between them. Lucky fumbled in shock from the glancing blow, nearly falling over in the snow. They both recognized the Fake Out implemented, but it had happened so fast and the snowy terrain around them was so intense, they both nearly missed it.

"Ya okay, buddy?" Winter called back to his friend. The Squirtle nodded with a grunt.

"Okay! Just stay back for now!" the acting Champion turned back to the action where the Pikachu was running frantically in the snow, a flurry of the cold condensation kicking up behind it. The "girl" meanwhile had a very...abrasive look on her face. And by abrasive, he meant completely full of hatred. Her eyes were glistening unnaturally as she showed no signs of holding back or keeping this fight fair. All tricks in the book were going to be thrown his way and he had to be ready for them. Every single one.

Winter found more determination in the challenge ahead of him as he picked up his first PokeBall on his belt and chucked it onto the field, "Let's do this! Come on out, Sumo!"

Amidst the dark clouds, the whipping winds, and the piling snow came a red beam, showcasing a very shiny Shuckle. The tiny turtle-esque Pokemon appeared, blue shell standing out brilliantly, making her easy for both Winter and the combatant to see. There would be no playful banter from Winter. Neither from Sumo, Lucky, or any of his team. He was going to get serious.

It was good to take advantage of the misused Fake Out and bring forth Sumo because the Pikachu's next move was Agility...and this was a golden time to strike.

"Sumo! Encore!" he called out, and the Shuckle commenced the cycle. Sumo closed her eyes, a weird pulse of energy filling the air. As such, the Pikeachu would begin to feel the uncontrollable compulsion to keep using Agility...to keep going faster and faster.

Which was alright in Winter's book.

DIN-01's smile just sort of slowly faded away as 'she' watched her pikachu begin to uncontrollably accelerate, a bigger and bigger snowstorm getting kicked up by her increasing velocity. One could just barely make out the sounds of a terrifying pikachu freaking the heck out before it all abruptly stopped. A yellow mouse could be observed flying wildly off the mountain and vanishing into the clouds.

...Oh.

Apparently, it had wound up going so fast it couldn't keep itself from flying off the small arena. DIN-01 just kind of stares in bewilderment. Huh. She'd never seen anything like that before. ...She'd also spent her admittedly very, very short life up on this lonely mountain so that perhaps wasn't saying much. After a good long moment, it became clear that she was waiting for a pikachu who wasn't coming back.

Oh.

Winter was getting ready to set up for the next two attacks to thoroughly take care of the Pikachu. But what happened next completely froze the young Champion (not in ice, just metaphorically). He could even bring words to his mouth as he watched the snowstorm in front of him, then a flash of yellow, and then...nothing. Like a magic trick, the Pikachu was gone and judging from the trajectory it had taken (from what he could gather from the yellow flash, anyway), it wasn't returning anytime soon.

"Oh..." Winter verbalized the thought both trainers were having right now, "Er...good job, Sumo! Let's keep the momentum on our side!"

He decided to keep Sumo out for the next Pokemon. The Shuckle was pretty tanky already to most attacks and if he knew the match-up wasn't favorable, he could always switch out for another team member. Now with Pikachu gone, he only knew one other Pokemon on her team...Charizard. He could use this time to figure out what cards she was playing with.

For the first time, DIN-01 looked genuinely uncomfortable. Felt genuinely uncomfortable even. She seemed to really hesitate to return her attention to the battle. Her pikachu was gone! She lost a pokemon! The gynoid looked genuinely pretty upset about that fact. Also conflicted. Maybe she wasn't programmed to deal with a situation like this, or maybe she was just genuinely conflicted on whether to go find her pikachu or continue battling. After a long moment, though, she reluctantly seemed to settle on returning her attention to Winter.

Producing another pokeball, she released a blastoise onto the field of battle! It turned its head up at Winter almost indignantly.

Winter could feel the hesitation in her stare, her surprisingly longing look over the mountain edge where they both witnessed the Pikachu plunge down. That was the second emotion he'd watched the girl express within the past minute. And he'd been expecting something cold...something emotionless...robotic even. Her attention was distracted to the well being of her Pokemon, just like any human would be.

Maybe...maybe there was another way...

"Stop! Hold on!" Winter actually stepped in front of Sumo, who was prepping herself for the next move. Despite the massive Blastoise standing in the way, he managed to look past it and into the eyes of a conflicted girl...a conflicted girl whose confliction was slowly fading.

"I think we should stop the fight for a moment!" he suggested loudly over the whistling wind, "We should go find your Pikachu! I know you're worried about her, as any trainer should be! We can continue the fight after we found her. I don't want your Pokemon dying from the cold because we were caught up in a battle!"

He stepped past the Blastoise, recalling his own Shiny Shuckle along the way as he got closer and closer to the girl. As he went, he remembered his own fight against the Dragon Tamer Lance to become the Champion...how their two ideologies clashed. If Lance had been up here, facing the girl, he would've carried on the fight, taking advantage of one less Pokemon to truly battle as he mercilessly fought on. Winter was always looking for the alternative method...one that didn't involve cold, brutal tactics or kicking another when they were down. Sure he had his concerns on being betrayed by the girl, who was showing signs of possibly being bipolar given what he'd seen from her emotional swings. But the value of life mattered more.

He just hoped she would think the same way.

Now Winter was a few feet from the girl, examining her closely. Even with uncertainty in her eyes, she looked unnatural. Her skin looked...smooth. Too smooth, even. She wasn't shivering from the gusts, nor was she flinching at the snowflakes occasionally drifting into her eyes, which looked even more synthetic up close. Her hair looked hard and her stance looked mechanic. The Champion was more scared of her now than he'd ever been before.

What was she?

But he hid the thought behind a genuinely warm smile that cut through the cold, extending a hand for her to shake, "Let's go find her together."

To truly understand someone whose body language was their only way of communication was a difficult task. It was a language full of subtleties, a language where the words frequently lost or picked up new meanings depending on the context. A language where many more complicated expressions simply didn't have words. Yet, it was not impossible to read her. One just had to be careful. She was, after all, considered to be dangerous by the authorities. There was likely a reason for that. Perhaps Winter already had his own suspicions.

A pair of brightly glowing golden eyes met Winter's. They were perhaps one of the most inhuman things about the girl's appearance just underneath the visible seams on all of her joins. They had a somewhat glassy texture over them and their irises had a very flat, milky texture to them. They looked very artificial. He was being watched, carefully so, but her blastoise made no move to stop him. In fact, it didn't even turn to face him. It simply glanced over its shoulder, waiting to see what came of this.

DIN-01, on the other hand, recoiled a bit and raised her arms to her chest when Winter held out his hand to her. If one paid attention, they could observe that the stance she was taking wasn't one that would facilitate punching or grabbing--or anything really. Rather, she was almost hugging herself as if to brace for an impact. It was a panicked response, not an aggressive one. This robot was afraid of Winter. Up close, he might just also be able to observe that one of her arms had scars on the metal where something heavy had struck her quite hard. They ended abruptly at the shoulder, where it appeared a part had been replaced. Now that they were up close and on relatively even ground, he'd also be able to pick up on just how short she was at about four feet five inches.

After a long moment of cowering before Winter, DIN-01 seemed to realize that she wasn't in imminent danger and stopped bracing herself, though her hands remained protectively wrapped around herself. She didn't seem to be able to bring herself to take his hand.

She did, however, her gaze up at Winter. Her eyes searched his for something unknown before nodding in confirmation. It seemed like she agreed to stop the battle and go searching for her pikachu.

Winter wasn't sure what to think as the smile faded from his face. There was so much stimuli heading his direction in her many actions that followed his offer. First was the way she reacted to his extending hand. It was defensive, not offensive. A lot less aggression was on the girl's face right then and a lot more apprehension. Winter could suddenly see that he dwarfed her in size by about a foot and a half. Was that...fear? Winter was surprised to learn that she could even carry such an emotion, given what Titania had told him. But the look on her face was very real. Perhaps she was more scared of him than he was of her...

The second thing he took notice of was her arms, crossed in front of her chest. Particularly on her left arm, where he noticed the scars raking across it in an unsettling fashion. Not like it had been cut or scraped by something, but like it had been shattered by something. At this point he was pretty confident the girl he was fighting wasn't human, but he was more concerned by who or what could've delivered those scars. And why? To make her tougher? To punish her for some reason?

Why was she sitting on this mountainside in the first place?

And the third was the sense of relief flowing through his own body when she nodded in acceptance to the offer. Her hands felt hard when she gripped his own while her electronic-looking eyes seemed to be searching for something within him. She wasn't smiling, but that was okay. It was the first instance of communication between the two of them and that was a breakthrough in it of itself. Who knows...maybe he did have a new friend in disguise.

His grin returned with more life to his face as their handshake broke, "It's not a trick or anything. I promise. I'm just worried for your friend."

He began walking back to his pal on the other side of their makeshift arena, glancing up at the Blastoise who had been patiently waiting. Unlike the girl, he seemed and looked very real...which brought up more questions. How did she communicate with her Pokemon? he wondered. Was it a mind link? Was it through friendship? Or maybe her team could act out on it's own...like that Chimchar he found outside Lavender Town that one time...

These were all questions he decided to hold off on asking her for now, even though his curiosity was tugging at his patience. Instead, he explained what he rationalized as the best solution for finding her, "So if we go ahead and take a Flying-Type to the sky and begin circling the mountainside, we should find your Pikachu pretty quickly!"

"Squir squir?" What are you doing? he could see the question in Lucky's eyes as Winter leaned down, inviting the Squirtle to hop onto his back.

"I don't think a Champion...well, actually no one should risk the lives of the Pokemon they encounter," he replied to his buddy, "Even those they oppose."

Lucky shrugged and glanced back at the girl. Winter reached into his parka in an effort to bring out something. A few seconds later, his clasped hand unfolded in front of her to show the whistle that one of his more intriguing friends had given him...a bird that could help him out in a pinch should he need it.

"Lemme call Arty," he said to her as he began to examine their surroundings to make sure this was a suitable place for landing, "You might wanna take a step back," he added in warning.

And then he blew the whistle. A soft, yet piercing note echoed through the snow flurries around them, even cutting through the wind. It was elegant in tone...not too harsh for ears. Winter held up a hand and began raising fingers.

One...two...three...

He stopped blowing after the third second had passed, sliding the whistle back into the spot on his concealed neck that he pulled it from. It was only a few seconds later than they would begin to hear the flapping of wings. Soft at first, but growing louder and louder with each beat. Winter smiled as he knew Arty had listened...

The Articuno suddenly appeared from the gray clouds, shimmering a bright, icy blue that seemed to encapsulate all the attention around them. The wind seemed to stop, as if frozen to the presence of the Legendary Bird. The snow even stopped falling, giving the girl full view of the incredible Pokemon. The Articuno paused for a moment, surveying the environment before landing next to Winter. It fluttered it's wings in a fluid and stable manner before glancing at Winter with an expression. You called?

"Hey Arty," Winter could actually hear himself talk for once as his tone was soft and slightly pleading, "My...friend here lost her Pokemon. It fell off this side of the cliff." He pointed to the direction he'd seen the blur move as he went on, "Any way I could convince you into helping us search for it? It's a Pikachu, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Yellow on white, right?"

The Articuno snorted in amusement as it nodded it's head and turned around, inviting the two of them to climb on.

"Thanks, Arty," Winter replied genuinely as he slid onto her back in a practiced manner. Even at his height, it was near impossible to get distracted by the notable size difference between the Champion and the Articuno. She was a big bird.

Winter turned around and offered her a hand up, remembering how hesitant she had been the first time, "It's okay. Arty's not gonna hurt you. I'm not gonna hurt you. Just take my hand and I'll help you up." He continued to show signs of pleasant and soft conversation, the smile on his face getting more vivid by the second.

DIN-01 reluctantly seemed to abandon her plans for battle and invest a little more trust in Winter, returning her blastoise and quietly watching Winter as they waited. She seemed to be studying him closely with a curious expression on her face. What she was looking for wasn't clear, nor was it obvious whether she found whatever it was. However, soon it would be time to take Winter's hand again and the rather short gynoid accepted. She was a bit heavier than a human ought to be, but given she was also quite small this wasn't saying very much. Her synthetic skin didn't give as much as a real person's either, giving her an involuntarily firm feeling grip.

Perhaps a good question would be where to seat her. Would Winter put her where he could keep his eyes on her, or in back?

Regardless, they had a lot of ground to cover.

Winter let the girl position herself behind him, not only for the sake of trust he was willing to show, bur for the sake of her safety, so that she could grab onto something more handy if things got rocky. Besides...Lucky had the front seat. Lucky always had the front seat.

The Articuno grunted at the sudden weight change on her back. The girl, despite looking smaller and frailer than the Champion did, actually weighed more than him. But it wasn't something the legendary bird couldn't handle as she readjusted herself and got ready for takeoff.

"You're gonna wanna hold on tight..." Winter warned as he glanced towards the endless view of clouds in front of him, "Okay Arty! We're ready!"

Fwoooooosh! Even a singular flap of the wings proved to be mighty as the Articuno lifted off, taking to the skies. His stomach lurched at the force, but he was used to that by now as he simply held on. The wind that rushed across his face was surprisingly breezy, as if he wasn't flying at all but rather, taking a walk along the coast. In fact, it seemed like all the harsh weather conditions were put on hold when they entered a certain range of the Articuno, making the ride much more pleasant.

Articuno began to descend, little by little, circling the mountain on each pass. Winter kept his eyes peeled on the mountain, which was awe-inspiring from this perspective. Every cut of rock, every path of travel, and every sheer cliff or snowy bank was visible. It gave the mountain so much detail in comparison to the ground perspective most people had. It was a visual experience for the Champion, who'd never flown this close to Mount Silver.

"Do you speak?" Winter asked so suddenly, glancing back towards the girl. He was going to try and at least get a few answers to some questions he had about her.

Two figures emerged from the depths of the sea itself, walking out onto the shore at a pretty relaxed pace and just kinda looking around for a moment. One of them had a very confused sharpedo stuck to her head, sorta gnawing at it in frustration as its teeth failed to pierce the metal armor that was her skin. After a moment, DIN-01 reached up and grabbed the sharpedo by the fin, carelessly tossing it over her shoulder back into the water. The bewildered pokemon shot her a dirty look in response before retreating, no longer keen on trying to make lunch out of the wayward android. As sea water leaked from her joints, her glowing golden eyes fixated on the massive castle that was the island's primary feature.

"...Please let me fix your hair." her companion whined. Next to her stood DIN-06 Serena, a grimace of mild disgust on her face. Her eyes glew a purplish color not quite unlike a shadow aura. Both of their outfits looked kind of scorched and in need of repairs. DIN-01 ignored DIN-06's request completely. "...C'mon, it's starting to look like a wild pokemon's making a nest up there." DIN-06 remarked, reaching out to gasp DIN-01 by the shoulder and produce a brush. DIN-01's gaze snapped to DIN-06, and as Serena went in to start to work, DIN-01 turned and slugged her in the gut. DIN-06 doubled over slightly at the force of the punch, wincing slightly and looking up at DIN-01, who was now looking down at her with overt contempt in her glowing yellow eyes. What followed was DIN-01 angrily beating DIN-06 as DIN-06 furiously grappled her and began doing her best to brush the other gynoid's hair while under assault. After a few moments, she sorta half succeeded in at least getting her hair back down, however she soon had to give up, and was promptly shoved over onto her butt by DIN-01, who barred her teeth in rage at the fallen droid.

DIN-06 held her hands up in surrender where she sat. "Arceus! Okay! Okay. I'm done. ...Psycho. I don't even know why you brought me here if you were just going to break me." she replied in distress. DIN-01 watched her for a moment, returning to a more neutral expression. "...Yeaaah, I know. I'm a traitor. Whatever. I still don't know why you brought me here. What's even with that weather?" DIN-06 asked, gazing back out to sea in bewilderment. DIN-01 once again ignored her, returning her attention to the castle. Spotting a strand of seaweed clinging to DIN-01's shoulder, DIN-06 carefully plucked it away and dropped it, only to get immediately threatened with another punch in response. She once again held up her hands in surrender, averting her gaze and proceeding to fold her arms as she waited to see what her mute sister droid would do now that they were ashore. After a few moments, DIN-01 began calmly walking in the general direction of the castle and probably the town surrounding it.

As the two androids walked up the narrow pathway winding up the cliffside, they could immediately notice the tall walls that surrounded the entire island. Their construction seemed to be made mostly out of stonework, with a crystal lattice material woven in. At varying points atop the walls, several spires with floating crystals above seemed to be glowing with a low energy signature. Several Trainers were also perched atop the walls at varying distances from each other. Each walked around with a crossbow and a Watchog at their side and seemed to be keeping an eye on things. Above the androids, Drifblim idled in large groups, fading in and out of sight, while Sigilyph followed set patterns of a patrol near the walls.

At the gates, the androids would see a large and sturdy metal door with a crystal lock upon it. The crystal was like the crystalline material; dark purple and indigo in color. Two Trainers in full armor, standing beside a Bastiodon each, were vigilant, armed with large halberds made out of the same crystals. So too was their armor made of those crystals, with the great helm revealing no part of their face. The full coverage was an impressive sight, designed to Intimidate those who looked upon it at the very least.

In a stern voice, one of the guarding Trainers spoke.
Hold it right there! State your business, unknown Trainers! If you desire entry, you must present your personal Imprimatur at this time. If you are seeking asylum, we must see your UPL Trainer Card or a similarly valid form of identification. If you are responding to a summons on the behest of the Crown-Princess, we must see your received Writ of Audience.

The other guard then spoke.
If you think you can cause trouble, don't. You'll be sorry if you do.

And just like that, DIN-01 sort of casually fished out a pokeball and held it up to the guards, a stern look upon her face. As she did this DIN-06 reacted quickly, holding her arm out toward Blue and speaking up. β€œ...She's mute. And she likes to battle too much. Don't mind her.” she explained. β€œWeee don't have trainer cards. We're not 'people' to them. The UPL. We're gynoids. Basically, computers pretending to be people. We're supposed to be slaves to our creator, but I guess he programmed me wrong so I'm on my own now. She's... still working for our creator. I think.” she added in a somewhat awkward tone, averting her gaze briefly in a manner that suggested she had some negative feelings about all of this. However, she never really 'looked' happy? So it was a tough call. β€œThe closest thing we have to IDs are our model numbers. I'm Dee Eye En Zero Six. I go by Serena. She's Dee Eye En Zero One, or Blue.” DIN-06 explained. β€œ...Those are some really pretty staves you've got there by the way. I really like this aesthetic you've got going on.” she mused aloud, seeming to not recognize their true nature. Somehow the crystals also gave her deja vu, but she wasn't able to connect the dots to whatever it was in her imprinted memory they reminded her of.

β€œAs for why we're ... here. I don't... actually know? She forced me to come with her, and this behavior isn't in line with anything I know about her or her programming. I think she might be malfunctioning in the head.” DIN-06 remarked, using her free hand to hold up a finger to her ear and make a swirly motion. Blue sorta paused and turned to glare at DIN-06 in response, apparently insulted by the remark. β€œUnless--She might be trying to find a strong opponent. That's a bit of a stretch though.” DIN-06 mused aloud. β€œShe picks a fight with everyone, but usually she just backs down if you refuse. She's kind of dumb like tha--ow!” DIN-06 added, to which DIN-01 grabbed and gave her hair a sharp little tug. DIN-06 and DIN-01 met eyes and narrowed them as the unwritten rule about not going for the hair was broken. Silent threats were spoken, and DIN-01 eventually released DIN-06's hair, shrugging helplessly. β€œ...Sorry for the trouble, misters.” DIN-06 lamented as she returned her attention to them.
