Description

Du Kuldr Drasgoroth, The Golden Fleet, contains nearly four thousand ships, not including fighters and transports, that comprise the might of Istalri Nianya's Naval force. Each ship is made almost entirely of Starsteel, a magically enhanced metal formed from arcane gemstones and raw magical power. The Vessels range in size from that of a small moon, to a single pilot fighter. The Vessels are all highly organized and grouped up into military units referred to as Storms. Each storm is comprised of 10 distinct ships, the largest of which is the command ship, Classified as Fortress. The remaining Nine ships are organized into groups of three referred to as Squalls, Each of which is led by a Rook, who delegates orders received from the Fortress as necessary.
In total, there are 11 classes of ship in the military fleet of Istalri Nianya, Their names, functions, and capabilities are as follows.

Citadel - High Command ship equal to the size of a small moon. Contains landing bays for smaller classes of ship, weapon systems for defense and offense, warp drive, hard light energy projection, and arcane warp field projector. Primarily a support role ship, the Citadel class commonly found when five or more Storms are collected together.

Castle - Supply transport, large vessel semi spherical in design, three hundred kilometers across. It has a large scale Gatr Generator which is commonly used to move supplies from itself to other ships. It has few offensive capabilities, being primarily a stockpile vessel, but it has significantly more defensive capabilities than most ships. It can generate hard light shields and mass Rejection Fields, as well as deploy Ionic Particle Disrupters and Warp Field Negators. It's primary means of defense however are the automated sentinels that comprise most of it's crew. Multitudes of Constructs, both flying and ground based, are able to hold off an assault long enough for reinforcements to arrive, or for the Castle itself to retreat.

Fortress - Capital ship, Approximately thirty kilometers in length, shaped like a spike, the widest part being the front and the thinnest being the propulsion system. Fortress ships are the commanders of Storms, the ten ship groups used for military organization in the golden fleet. Fortress ships have multiple functions and capabilities, most notable being hard light projection, energy and projectile based weapons, fleet hangers and warp systems. The Vessels command an arsenal of 10 Pillars, which are discussed below. Aside from that the ships also have another functionality. Each Fortress class ship is designed with the ability to transform from a mobile star ship into a Space Station. The Transformation process is lengthy and requires at least three hours to complete, but once completed the vessel is capable to perform multiple functions which make them ideal at defending and besieging for months, even years if necessary. Once in Station mode, the ship can activate it's Gatr field, allowing reinforcement vessels to be transmitted directly to the battlefield from across galaxies. It also gains access to an immense arsenal of Anti-Orbital and Defensive Weaponry, making it an extremely powerful Area Denial weapon. Fabrication, medical, and even Training Facilities become usable in station mode, allowing the Fortress to rearm, repair, or reconstruct damaged ships, treat injured personnel, and even Train new soldiers. This capacity makes the fortress class ship ideal for defending worlds under assault, or assisting with the invasion of those worlds. As a final note, the ships have a powerful weapon that allows them to fire a concentrated and sustained beam of raw plasma. This weapon, commonly referred to as the Sun Spear, is used to destroy stationary targets. The beam can be sustained for up to two hours before needing to recharge.

Rook - This class of ship, on average 20 kilometers in length, is the primary warship of the fleet. Like it's larger cousin the Fortress, it has Hard light Projection, Energy and Projectile based weaponry, and an utilizes up to 10 Pillars. The Rook is also capable of a transformative process, but where as the Fortress performs this action in space, the Rook uses this in terrestrial encounters. The, appearing like a smaller version of the Fortress, turns it's propulsion towards a planet and then allows gravity to pull it towards solid ground. As it enters the atmosphere the vessel channels the friction into the engines and uses the added energy to reduce it's impact. When it's close enough, the propulsion system shifts about, drilling and entrenching the vessel into the ground. The ship itself then transforms into a massive "Tower" with many of the same facilities the Fortress class station mode boasts, with the exception of Fabrication and Training facilities. The center of the vessel is opened up, and the Gatr field activated, allowing vehicles, equipment, and personnel to be directly transported to the ground. In this state the vessel's bridge also becomes a command center, making the Rook ideal for invasions.

Bishop - Another Ship averaging 20 kilometers in length this vessels appearance is like that of a closed flower while in transit. When stationary the Ship can "bloom" open. Each "petal" is a docking station for hundreds of thousands of drones. These drones, around thirty meters in length each, move at around 300 miles per hour, and have two weapon systems. An electrical arc blade which is used to cut through the hulls of ships, and a set of warp missiles that create a field of destabilized mana, causing molecules caught inside the field to vibrate at abberant frequencies. This effect causes solid materials to disintegrate at a molecular level. The ship has no other defensive or offensive capabilities.

Knight - a small ship only 5 kilometers in length, it has more powerful engines than other vessels, and is capable of moving faster and with more dexterity. Usually containing an arsenal of Bombs, boarding pods, missiles and standard projectile weapons, this is the primary combat class ship used in the fleet.

Canoe - A large transport class, Canoe's feature few offensive or defensive equipment, flares and standard shielding. Used primarily for transporting large numbers of troops, supplies, or ground vehicles, the vessels are five kilometers in length can can carry three hundred kilograms in cargo without suffering movement restrictions.

Wolf Axe - Single Pilot Fighter equipped for dogfighting and aeriel manuevers. Can be equipped for missile runs as well. With a low Travel Range, this ship accompanies larger vessels in a defensive and offensive capacity.

Shadow - Stealth ships designed in utmost secrecy with classified technology. These vessels do not show up on any form of scanner or detection device, save by the naked eye. The Vessel doesn't show up on any wavelength, it doesn't produce any background noise, and has no footprint of any sort. Like it's namesake, the only proof that a Shadow is there is that you can physically See it. This class of ship is only used for insertion of special operatives, retrieval of those operatives, and exfiltration of persons of interest.

Falcon - The Falcon Class ship is a high speed recon vehicle equipped with minimal weaponry, forgoing combat capacity for sheer speed. The Falcon is capable of reaching speeds just under eight hundred kilometers per second, seats a single pilot, and bears the latest in scanning and detection equipment.

Pillar - Pillars are not actually ships, but are rather automated externally based weapons platforms controlled by capital class ships. They are capable of many different features, making them exceptionally powerful weapons. They can fabricate and deploy unmanned assault drones, like the Bishop. They can also rearrange their structure to generate Gatr Fields, fire smaller scale sun spears, and electro magnetic pulses. The pillars are around 5 kilometers in length, with a diameter of 25 meters. Pillars are controlled via advanced magical constructs found aboard the capital ships they are tied to. Finally, Pillars are able to generate a plasma state eldritch energy barrier. This barrier admits neither physical material or energy through it, cannot be dispelled or ruptured, and is completely opaque. The Pillars can only produce this pillar in a Terrestrial environment, it cannot be generated in space, and once active the pillars commit all of their function to maintaining the barrier. The pillars also serve as doors in the barrier, being that they are the only point from which you can enter or exit the barrier.

So begins...

Several wormholes opened high up in the sky directly above the city, each glowing and swirling with orange energy. Crackling with artificial lightning. They were distracting to say the least, even more distracting were the ships that left them. They seemed to vary in size, dozens of them were extremely large and cast a shadow over the city.

There was a smaller ship making it's descent on the city fast, only slowing once it neared a tall building to land atop it. It wasn't there to join the fight, but it was clearly dropping off those that would.

About a dozen Invictus soldiers donning orange armor stepped off of the transport ship, another dozen followed. The second group were dressed much more flamboyantly, they gave off a very obvious magical vibe. Who else would come to a war zone dressed like Liberace?

Mages and wizards always needed to be the center of attention.

The soldiers escorting them were heavily armed, bringing the physical aspect to help enhance the magical.

"Get me eyes on the street." The leader of the squad ordered. She was a dark-skinned woman with ambiguous features and an accent that didn't sound exactly native to Terra.

"Roger that." The pilot responded, taking the ship back up into the sky to circle the small battlefield and provide some of information about what was happening.

The Archers watched as gouts of flame erupted from the manholes, each satisfied that the underworks had been taken care of for the moment. One of them, sporting a blue sash across their chest, closed their eyes and made a report to their commander.

Enemy forces detected in the underworks of the city. We don't have the normal means of dealing with such, orders.

A few moments after this was relayed the regiment commander looked to the other archers and shouted in their language. "Move forward towards the Plaza, were going to secure it for the impact site, the original zone is too hot."

Without another word the contingent of soldiers, those that remained at least, began marching onward towards the plaza. The recent attacks upon their forces meant that they were now far more wary, and would be much harder to get the drop on.

The twelve remaining warriors who had been sent to the core room would arrive on the bridge at that point. Every one of them charging forward with a battle cry. "Fortha Solskain!" They roared as they surged into the room and began to reinforce their besieged brothers and sisters. Morthen however required no help, as when the marine teleported he had caught the movement out of the corner of his eye and he dropped backwards onto his back and aimed the weapon at the sword brother before firing into the enemy's torso.

The sudden force the librarian brought to bear caught the warrior completely unprepared, and he was battered and broken before being thrown against the far wall. When he landed his body imediatly ignited and began to burn away in iridescent chromatic flames.

Calsai responded to the shield bash with a sidestepping pirrouet that would bring the blade down on his enemies neck if not countered. Erna looked around and saw the librarian, and realized that he had been the one responsible for the magical disconnection. She took her weapon and cautiously approached him, before suddenly dropping to her knees grasping at her skull.
Screams and howling winds overtook her mind, as she clawed at her head, trying desperately to keep the voices out. During the fighting her hood had fallen off of her head and as the wards protecting her mind were tied into it, the demons outside were no longer being blocked.
But even more debilitating to her was the screaming of her fallen brothers and sisters, who's souls were suffering at the presence of the Chaos Lord. The Twisted aberation's mere existence tormented their disembodied consciousnesses, and they called out to her for someone to save them. Her screams tore through the whole of the bridge as the battle continued around her.

Once enemy reinforcements arrived, one of the Initiates began to vox the group at the weapon systems. "The bridge is becoming overwhelmed! We requite immediate aid! Hurry brothers and avoid the heretic that wanders the ship!" The marine called out into his vox before returning to the fight. For the Sword Brethren, he would feel air passing through his torso as the beam burned through his armor. The marine fell down, life fading from his body and his soul was now in the hands of the Chaos Lord instead of the Emperors side.

For the Librarian, as he finished off the legion warrior he would hear a shreik of pain. He turned to face the source and saw one of the enemy soldier gripping her skull. It appeared her magical defenses were broken and the voices were entering her head, a pityful sight but he had no pity to spare. Instead of finishing her off he ignored her before rushing to the aid of the Initiates and Sword Brethren who were now outnumbered by the enemy reinforcements.

Renalus watched as his shield bash was dodged, he would also see a blade aiming for his neck. Thinking quickly, he would abandon his shield and attempt to forcibly grab Calsai 's hand before his blade impacted his neck. He would also lean as far back as he could in case he could not stop the blade.

For the Chaos Lord, he began to laugh maniacally as he heard a faint screaming. He would also continue to laugh as the souls of those that were killed were now circling around him both Space Marines and Legion soldiers. "Yes! Plea and pray all you want! No one is going to save you, relish in your eternal suffering as your souls shall serve me for eternity!" The monster spoke as gathered the souls together and began to devour them, causing their life to forever be chained to the Chaos Lord will. He would then grow slightly stronger and as he was now a yard away from the bridge, he could see the Legion warriors and the Space marines fighting. A smile formed under his helmet, he relished the opportunity to spill blood and sacrifice his enemies. These victims would become a plaything for the dark gods.

Erna looked to see the chaos lord, and in that moment she cast a spell through sheer force of will and instinct. The block placed by the librarian was broken and the space within the bridge frozen in time, in fact for a sheer moment all time throughout the realm was frozen.
Calsai was frozen with his arm in Renalus' grip, his blade inches from the marshals neck. Legion warriors were frozen in mid strike against the enemy. Morthen was frozen in mid firing, the blast still emanating from his gun.

In that single frozen instant Erna's eyes shone with a terrible and beautiful light, that the chaos lord would find unbearable, as though the it were the antithesis of everything he was, an antivenom to his poison, a vaccine against his chaotic existence.

A voice of unimaginable force, so great that all who heard it felt as though their very souls, the very essence of their beings was being pressed, and yet they could hear it only as a whisper.

"In the night there are stars. In the shadow there is light. In the void there is hope. We are the stars, we are the light, and we are the hope."

Then the souls the Chaos lord had, both Legion Warrior and Marine, were taken from him. By what or who could not be fathomed, but it was undoubtedly felt. In that frozen moment of time, those of strong will would be able to sense his presence, would be able to gleam a picture of him, though to look upon him was to look upon a blinding light that could not be withstood. He seemed the form of a child clothed in grey. He whispered, and his voice was quiet, but unbearable in it's loudness. "Awaken, warriors of the light. Your true foe stands before you, and all others are nothing in it's presence."

At those words each legion warrior turned, while all else would remain frozen. They each turned and their eyes shone with the unbearable light of god. As one they turned and faced the Chaos lord, and they charged. The moment was gone, and time released from the grip of whatever had held it, yet the eyes of the warriors still shone with unbearable light, and not one of them bothered to fight the marines any further. It was as though every one of them was now merely an avatar of whatever being had appeared before. The Space marines would find themselves freed of the spell, but their choices from then on were up to them. The warriors were focused only on the Chaos Lord.

The Chaos Lord was surprised by this sudden spell, the souls he had just enslaved were ripped from him. He covered his eyes as she radiated this light. As the event wore off, he noticed the warriors all coming from him all shining with an unbearable light but the man began to laugh. "Yes...Yes! Come to me mortal fools! Your light is no match for the power of the dark gods! Come, COME! Warriors of the corpse god and these "warriors" of light! Face me and die!" The figure spoke as he began his charge at the enemy. Unfazed by the enemy strength or numbers almost as if he relished the opportunity to fight.

The marines stopped fighting when their attention turned to the Chaos Lord, Whatever had happened the Legion warrior stopped their assault and were heading for the Chaos Lord. "Brothers, help those Legion warriors kill that abomination! For now he must die before the ship exits the Warp!" Renalus shouted as he charged behind the Legion warriors who just a few seconds ago tried to kill him and his men.

When the soldiers arrived Miray had just put on the necklace that James had gotten for her. "It is beautiful, James, thank you." Miray said softly, she was truly enthralled by the gemstone, the chain glittered on her skin as well. Miray felt honored to wear it. It felt right. Coming from James only made it much better in many ways.

She gave Snow a gently headrub "Hey Snow, you seem happier then normal." Indeed Snow was quite upbeat, just like her and James, and that in essence was good! It was always good actually to see James with a smile on his face more often. Most times good came of it actually.

Miray smiled and was about to speak as the soldiers arrived. Great, just wonderful, just frigging great! Sti down to a nice calm dinner, and get invaded. She turned to James, clearly confused and asked him. "Is this place always like this ?"

James smiled wider at her reaction. The jeweler was correct; she liked it! He seemed a bit relieved at that. Snow licked at Miray's wrist and hand as she was given the head-rub, panting happily, tail wagging gently. Snow was generally a happy dog, but she was also very sensitive to emotions and intent, particularly those of James, and those close to him.

When the soldiers entered the building and demanded that they vacate, Snow let out a bark, which was quickly stifled by a snap of James' fingers as she went to his side and sat. He pet her gently and his smile slowly began to fade, turning into a frown.

"No...this place isn't normally like this...." he said. He did have to chuckle at the threat of the soldier, however. Kill him? Have fun. Not an easy feat; specially since he was well-rested and healthy. James wasn't one to stir up trouble on his own most of the time. But he wasn't moving from his seat just yet; he'd just sat down, and gotten comfortable! His eyes flashed yellow briefly and he leaned against the back of his chair, and stretched out his arms and shoulders. Under the table, his boots brushed gently against Miray's legs as he stretched out his legs.

He was making ready to fight anyway. "Under who's authority do you preside?" James called out to the golden-armor-clad soldiers. Guys looked like they stumbled out the wrong end of a renaissance fair.

The soldiers began to spread throughout the room, escorting every diner they met outside, where large ship had touched down and and began picking them up.

One soldier walked over towards James and responded to him directly. "We act under the authority of the light. Leave the premises, it is for your own safety"

A larger soldier carrying a heavy looking axe and wearing very thick armor stood just outside the diner, looking inside directly at James and their fellow soldier.

The Legion warriors eyes were not the only thing to begin shining. Their armor radiated an iridescent light that grew stronger and stronger with each second, their weapons bloomed with the same, leaving streaks of the light in the air. The Chaos lords attacks quickly became useless against the armor, the shadows in the room dispelled by the light.

Calsai slid on his knees past the Chaos Lord while spinning to cleave at his enemy's knees with his broadsword. As he did so a Legion Warrior approached and spoke, it's voice no longer than of his own, but rather that of the entity from before. "The Light has stood against your gods. The Light has destroyed your gods. The Light will always defeat your gods."

Erna appeared from behind the chaos lord and as Calsai struck at his knees, she leaped and kicked at his back, to throw him onto his face. She too spoke, but the voice was that of the Light. "As long as there is life, there shall be Light to stop you.

Meanwhile the shields planted in the core began to glow brightly as the magic cast upon them slowly reached it's zenith.

The Legion Warriors froze for only a moment upon seeing the creatures. But as they began to charge, the Warriors formed up and readied their shields. They formed an impenatrable bulwark against the creatures, and their spears were braced to impale them upon the blades.

The Fyrnskain at the front of the line held their axes and hammers ready, and swung as the beasts came within range. The archers above noticed the man in the jacket with red and black, and took only a moment to determine he was the commander of this new force. They fired arrow after arrow at his direction, some where enchanted to explode on impact, others enchanted to freeze what they connected with, and more were just meant to kill as arrows always had, though impalement of the enemy.

Meanwhile, the sky darkened with the approach of a massive ship as it hurtled towards the ground.

Than an idea came to him, maybe he can make some money from this and also a ride off this world if able. Jumping from a abandoned building about 30ft tall and landing softly on the ground a bow-shot away from and large group of those golden armored warriors.

"I'am looking for your leader, i have words i want to speak to him/her before i let you past."..... Grim spoke in a tone that could be heard miles away. Then the column parted and from the middle marched a mighty warrior wielding a heavy battle axe, wearing thick and heavy looking armor. Then, the voice of a young woman issued forth from the fyrnskain's helm. "What business you might have is irrelevant. Leave this area at once, lest you be destroyed." She said, hefting her greataxe to rest over her shoulder.

Chaos begats Chaos.

The forces of the Dark Gods, though seldom united are rarely ever alone. Even the most dangerous berserker will find themselves joined on the field of battle by the crazed and the deranged. The cleverest schemer will be surrounded by the smart and the weak willed. The lone champion is never alone.

Behind the mass of the Chaos Lord reality began to buckle and strain under its own existence. The air around the spot grew hot and cold at the same time, sudden winds blew through the bridge, blowing impossibly out of nowhere. The crinkling of reality grew larger and larger until the universe itself screeched and screamed as real space was torn asunder. Where once there had been nothing but open air, suddenly an explosion of purple and pink shifting light and sound stood. Infernal noises leaked through from the other side of this fell Warp portal. A doorway for anything to step through.

Air ripped both in and out of the Warp portal, as though it were a hungry beast in itself attempting to devour the world around it whole. And then, as though it were nothing but normality a single figure strode through. A figure clad in dark blood red armour, with a horrifically mutated left arm and a glaive crackling in Warp energy in his armoured right fist. A figure, clad in the unmistakable giant armour of a Space Marine. The Warp portal collapsed behind him at his passing. He took a moment to assess the scene before him. And it was glorious.

Xeno and loyalist alike fought against a lone combatant, a most wondrous fight! He knew not who these xenos were and he didn't much care, but he did see Black Templars, fanatics who would never back down or break. He would bloody them well enough and offer their still beating hearts to the Blood God! And then he saw the unmistakable armour of a Librarian of the Blood Ravens, how could he ever forget the heraldry of his former brothers? His mutated hand, which had up until that point been a writhing tentacle split apart with bloody puckering into the fleshless fingers as he reached up and felt the pendant around his neck, the last reminder of his old Chapter. Any other markings had long been scrapped off or burned away. He had long wished to return to his brothers, to show them to true meaning of strength. Once the Chapter had known strong leadership. Once the Chapter understood the might of Chaos. He would remind them.

"Blood Raven." His breath oozed out in a hollow challenge to the Librarian. He strode forwards towards the battle, the glaive spinning in his hand to a fighting position. He would enjoy returning to his brothers once more. His armoured feet clanged loudly as he made his way directly to the loyalist. Yes. He would enjoy this.

"All systems checked, armor is at full power. Tac-com are you getting green?" Daren tapped the side of his helmet out of habit. Himself along with 39 other mercenaries were aboard a speeding aircraft heading towards Omnicorp HQ. Omnicorp had contracted a short notice emergency defense detail with Stames Defense Corporation given the unique field of mercenaries and equipment they had readily available.

Their armored aircraft banked hard right and dove between a column of buildings after seeing a column of aircraft zoom by. The lights inside the cabin started to flash red signalling that it was almost time for them to drop. The armored men all gathered their gear and stood up readying themselves for what was about to happen. Over the comms in their helmets came the distinctive voice of their CEO, Vikkus Aleene. "Gentleme,n you have a contract to fill.. You're to supplement the Omnicorp defenses until they can evacuate their crew and equipment. But I'd like to remind you of your prerogative. You work for Stames first! If you see an opportunity, take it. We know Omnicorp has several prototypes and secrets we'd like to get our hands on. Stames will benefit with anything we can take from this company. You'll get a bonus if you find anything good." The quickness of the drafting left a god number of loopholes which left 'protection and security' open for translation. This sided in Stames' favor.

Immediately after the communication channel closed, their craft landed and opened up the side bays. The scene before them were numerous armed security guards rushing to fortify their positions while employees from all over rushed to secure their work or themselves. Daren jogged forward meeting a man wearing a helmet with a thick yellow stripe signifying he was a security leader for the company. "We're here on contract, Stames Defense. Where do you need us?" Daren wasn't sure what was waiting for him, but it obviously was something big and bad given the amount of troops and hardware that was over Wing City. Their ship took off in a hurry leaving them stranded at the HQ, given the presence of those aircraft it was probably for the best. Their ride could come back later when ex-filtration was more suitable. Daren and several of the mercenaries moved into different positions in the main courtyard to the complex, while others moved to different locations to secure a solid perimeter. They would have to wait until the enemy arrived and then see if their advanced weapons could do anything or not. Omnicorp was scared for a reason.

Morganovicz Skeel, a man of great military significance to the Commonwealth. His past experience in warfare had quickly allowed him to become renown throughout the Shaki'lyu nations, holding the nickname of 'One Man Army' mainly due to his abilities in battle along with his past achievements of turning the tides of war even when heavily outnumbered. Although this man was born as an irregular of Skeel nobility, his efforts have been quickly noticed by the High Emperor Weilacca Vladaminsky III, bringing him into the triarchy as a royal guard while also heightening the relationships between the Skeel and Vladaminsky nations. Of course, this past hardly effects his life at present, except for his highly confidential grants of the Vladaminsky military...

A small nod of acceptance was given towards the Commisar once orders have been given, allowing Morganivicz to head off to complete them alongside the elites of the Imperium, assuming leadership of the small group as they made their way through the battlefield towards the defensive line of shields set up by the invaders. It was safe to assume the great defensive power of these strange shields as they resisted high powered projectiles with no more than a scratch on the surface. Then again, the scratch may just be the removal of decorative paint. Of course, something of such great defensive prowess holds the weaknesses of the user, and the volley of grenade launches fired may break the line. However, they may not do the job efficiently, a good way is to break a gap into this impressive shell of shields to bring more damage to the soldiers held inside.

And so, Morganovicz reached the conclusion of summoning his Sa'ooayna affinity of air, the unique ability of the Skeel sub-species. Using his technique of casting, Morganovicz impaled his halberd into the ground, freeing both hands as he assumed a crouching position. At the same time, the Shaki'lyu's hands smoothly moved through the air, waving around from in front to behind, drawing the surrounding air into his hands in concentrations which became visible. The next movements were faster than the normal eye could pick up, pushing the hands forwards as extremely high velocity jets of air were fired directly at the shields, aiming for the left and right sides of the line before a second volley was fired at the middle. The aim was to push the soldiers backwards into their peers, breaking a gap into this shell for the fired grenades to come into direct contact with; drastically increasing the damage made to their enemies.

Once the volley was complete, Morganovicz reclaimed his halberd in both hands, nodding his head towards the hopefully broken defensive unit before confirming his orders to the elites. "Let's make this a close quarters combat situation, don't let any of them escape and take prisoners if possible."

The Chaos Lord would watch as his attacks would bounce of the enemy armor, however he has encountered something similar to this. Soldiers touched by some sort of divine power, with this knowledge in hand all he had to do was tap into his powers but before he could, Calsai would strike his knees with his weapon only to leave just a minor scratch. Once he was struck Erna appeared from behind and kicked him from behind causing to blow to cause him to fall face first. However he would vanish in a red mist and reappear by the side of a new figure that had joined the battle.

For most people when they encounter a foe that manages to prove to be a powerful combatant would be wise enough to back down, however the Chaos Lord began to laugh."I am impressed you all manged to leave a mark of this armor of mine, however I know all too well the power that surges through you all. You think the powers of light and life can stop us? Those loyalists behind you have battled us since ancient times and they have proven time and time again that nothing can stop the powers of the Dark Gods! You want a battle then....fine....I will bathe these corridors in your blood!" The Chaos Lord called out as his weapons now revealed their true form, the Lightning Claws he had equipped were possessed by a demon and it unleashed just a fraction of it powers causing the weapons to not only exude a hazy, red-coloured field of energy that wrapped around the blades, but caused the weapons to also grow eyes and tendrils increasing his unholy power by even more. He would charge at one of the Legion warriors and this time when he swung his claws he would penetrate his armor with his empowered abilities to match the enemies sudden power spike. He would then tear the warrior in half from the sides. "Your Gods cannot save you in this realm! Now choke on your own blood!"

Carnaelgarr who had heard the challenge appeared in front of him and pointed his Force Staff at him. "Traitor...if you want a challenge, you have one." He spoke, his voice full of hatred. For the other marines, Renalus would Rush at the Chaos Lord with his weapons at the ready, a pair Sword Brethren teleported by the Chaos Lords side with power swords at the ready.

The Legion Warriors continued a relentless assault upon the chaos lord, with their power and strength increasing with every beat of their hearts. As it continued their bodies began to crack and split in various places. Calsai continued his assault upon the Chaos lord with wide swings of his blade, while Morthen slamned his weapon into the ground, where the barrels of the minigun opened into a tripod, and he fired missiles upon the enemy.
Erna turned her hands upon the chaos lord and a blazing light shone forth from them, burning away the chaos and dispelling the red energy from his weapons, even as several of the warriors moved to impale him upon their spears, and several more struck at him with their swords.

But yet still in the core the shields continued to gather power, getting closer and closer to the moment of their detonation.
