Setting
It is also where secrets are hidden, unseen from the normal public, including where the legendary Hero's Sword is kept, Blaphellion, in the crypt of the Hero.
"To think, Magus Weather again this day...it must be getting near a period of intensity".
After he said that, they then led the group towards a large meeting room. Zakar then told the servants to bring some drinks.
"So, shall we get started then? Welcome to the planet of Origin, this is our home Hayslem City. What brings you here? Could it be, you may be searching for refugees from your nation or something? I know with the recent wars, the number of refugees has been going up coming to our planet, who refuses to get involved with those intergalactic scruffles".
Indeed, on the way there, many refugees from all sorts of races could be seen...but they did not appear to be in poverty or need, and many were entering apartment buildings that had appeared to receive renovations recently.
Zakar meanwhile looked out the window. "Just as we thought...it was an intense dissolving rain".
Dissolving rain. One of the strange types of weathers that occur on Origin. Although most of the weathers held no actual magic in them, they did get influenced by the mana in the air and could produce strange effects. Dissolving rain was pretty bad. Although hard objects, like stone, wood, and even the special, albeit not flexible of comfortable, cloth they used for banners and covers could sort of resist it, it would bypass any barriers for some reason, even magic ones unless heavily reinforced, and dissolve anything "soft"...and not just clothing, but after clothing it would be skin, tissue, and eventually internal organs. Thankfully, it dried off incredibly quickly, and no floods had ever even been possible, but still. Furthermore, it could burn even if blocked by armor by its reaction of being absorbed, so it was generally unpleasant. Those umbrellas were one of the few designed things people could use.
The more intense, the worse it would get.
"Good King... If we where here for refugees they would be the refugees of our enemies...and our greetings would have been far less friendly..." Nephthys said darkly. She then added a warning "If you ever do get refugees claiming to be from our enemies it would be in your best interest to turn them over to us....the friend of my enemy is my enemy..."
Nephthys let that sink in for a moment before she smiled and said, "But I didn't come here to make enemies.... I am here to establish peace and trade between your planet and my Empire. Also I would be quite interested to know more about these storms your planet suffers from."
"Anyways, I don't think anyone wishes to make enemies. As for establishing peace and trade, those things are much more preferable I think. Less people cry, and trade allows for goods one has to be traded for goods one does not have, for both sides. So, I think if we follow along this idea, it should be fruitful to everyone".
Right when the King was about to talk about the storms, it was Zakar that stepped in this time. "You could say its natural and unnatural at the strange time. Its called Magus Weather. Weather that was altered by mana or supernatural forces, but it isn't magic or anything like that. Its still natural weather, but its different and often more severe....well, there are exceptions, like the Rainbow Bloom. That is when the mana causes the water in the air that developed into a slight mist to radiate the colors of the rainbow, across large areas in a way similar to a blooming flower. Not all Magus Weather is bad. Its just weather, but a bit more extreme. There are many different types of Magus Weather...though, I think Gravity Storms might be some of the worst personally. That can ground spaceships even".
Zakar, who did not appear as a scholar, seemed to know quite a bit about Magus Weather.
Nephthys stared out the window at the storm. "Well I believe that it is time to work out the details of our future together..."
After much deliberation and debate, as well as discussions and agreements, an official Document was created. This Document was the Origin-Mauhasinan Agreement, between the planet of Origin and the Mauhasinan Empire. There were many, many details about various things, but it could be summarized as follows:
- Each Party will agree to respect the rights, laws, customs, religions, and governments of each other.
- An Official Trade Agreement will be established, detailing certain products normally not allowed to be sold outside of Origin to other markets to be sold to, and in, the Mauhasinan Empire, provided they acquire the proper permits and liscenses and agree to pay the taxes.
- Special Reductions to Trade Taxes will be implemented between the two nations. The taxes itself will not be negated, simply reduced for trade between the two parties.
- A Mauhasinan Defense Fleet will join the Origin Defense Order in defending the planet and it's neutrality in intergalactic wars, as well as its independence.
- Various Transfer Students of all ages, backgrounds, and types, from young children to older scholars, will be attending Astrius Academy. For the young students, we will help them get situated for a long, but entertaining, realistic, unique, and supportive education, and for the older scholars, we will have them work with our brightest minds to develop new breakthroughs and discoveries.
- A Science Team from the Mauhasinan Empire will be joining the Weather Research Institute, which has bases in every major city as well as having a set up in Astrius Academy, to research the Magus Weather unique to Origin.
- Various Research Agreements and collaborations are also planned.
- There are numerous other minor points as well, but those are all the major ones summarized.
And so, it was declared from this day forth, that Origin had established beneficial relations with one of the various Star Empires in the Galaxy.
"I do not believe it has, First Prince Zakar".
A long time after a certain Star Dragon had flown past Origin's sun to go to meet a certain old friend of hers, of which very few people knew ever happened, an object that had apparently somehow been trapped in the orbit of Origin's star was jarred loose and set adrift towards Origin. Only this object was very specific. Rather, it was a person.
"So, what do you think it is? Celestial being? Shapeshifting Alien? A robot?"
"There are plenty of other beings then those that this could be".
"So then, I just need to break this with my sword right?"
Zakar possessed a Sword of the Hero, which was a sword which would only demonstate its power for someone who was the Hero, or was close enough to being one. It could tear through magic and people with ease, and could easily be used to set her free. It could cut through all manner of beings and creatures, and when used right can even cut through Reinforced Mithril.
"Actually, the barrier seems quite weak. If you channel your power into your fingertips and flick her head, it should be sufficient...though dont put too much force in, in case your power with only that is still overkill".
"I see...and, there is no one else nearby right?"
"Indeed. Between your abilities as the First Prince and a Hero, and my abilities as the Commander of the Royal Knights, superior to beings feared throughout the galaxy including those Saiyan things through my hard work, dedication, and proper maintenance and use of equipment, we will be fine. Just in case, I have the Dragon Knights on standby, and we have deployed barriers in case of emergency".
"...I think you are being overkill on this. No reason to think she will be hostile".
"I take my job as the Royal Knight Commander very seriously. I have lived on this world for quite more then you, remember that".
"Alright, well here goes nothing..."
And so, Zakar went to go and break the barrier without using so much force to cause tons of damage.
Just as T'saas opened her eyes, eager to thank her saviours, she was violently ripped away from reality in a maelstrom of chaotic Warp Magic.
