"I don't care".

a character in “The Outcasters; Second Generation”, as played by RawkFist

Description

Image
A.K.A.
Image

Image

"I do what I want. If you don't like that, then fuck off and be 'friends' with someone else".

Age:
Eighteen.

Gender:
Male.

Face claim:
Luke Pasqualino.

Sexuality:
Heterosexual.

Image

Species:
Half Wraith/Demon, half Dryad.

Abilities/Gifts:
Since Slade has taken after his mother more than his father, he is more gifted in Dryad powers than Wraith powers, although he can use both with very little difficulty. He prefers to use his Wraith powers more because they give him that sort of 'villain' look. He often refers to the Dryad powers as 'magical tree tricks', because it's just funny. When he is angry and has lost control of himself completely, he will often mix the two together to create lethal attacks, making him very dangerous.

Image

Occupation:
Slade is currently unemployed because of how stubborn he can be when it comes to being told what to do. If forced into a job by anyone else, he will purposely act up and lose it so that he doesn't have to do anything. Who needs a job when you are off using your 'super powers' to live wild and free?

Relationships:
Slade doesn't necessarily have any close friends, because he tends not to want any. The only two people he can actually call his close friends are Dahvie and Emily, because he grew up with them. His sister comes before anyone else in the world. Sometimes they don't get along that well, but they would never think to hate eachother. When times get tough they will always be around to help each other out.

Family:
Mother - Erieda Davenport.
Father - Alexander Davenport.
Sibling(s) - Symone Davenport.
Aunt and uncle #1 - Christopher and Belle Davenport.
Aunt and uncle #2 - Thomas Jr and Kristina Vincent.
Cousin(s) - Andrew and Ashley Vincent, Lucinda and Michael Davenport.
Grandfather(s) - The Dryad King, Thorn Davenport.
Grandmother(s) - Unknown.

Likes:
There really isn't much that Slade can say he's fond of. He used to play a bit of piano back when he was a little younger, so if given the opportunity to play he will, despite how out of practise he is. Lately he has taken quite a liking to Tanya, and finds her quite attractive. He doesn't think of it as anything serious though. He doesn't really want to be tied down in a relationship so early into his life.

Dislikes:
Slade hates liars. He can lie himself, which is strange because of his Fae background, but people who lie to him or cheat are just lowest of the low. It is very hard for him to forgive a person that has lied to him, and his trust is extremely hard to regain. He also hates normal things like sharks, spiders and the darkness. Just common fears that most people would experience.

Image

Personality:
Slade is very opinionated, and is quick to judge another person by their looks, powers or personality without truly knowing them. First impressions are important with Slade. If he doesn't like you straight away, then chances are he most likely never will. Quite frankly, he doesn't give a damn about what other people think of him. It doesn't bother him in the slightest. He doesn't take kindly to other people, to say the least. He isn't exactly anti-social but he doesn't like to stand around and waste his life chatting to people who prove no purpose in his life.

Like his mother he can be quite stubborn and will rarely ever take no for an answer. He will do things that he's told not to because he doesn't play by the rules. He isn't as wise as her, and probably never will be, but he takes after her in the sense that he is able to read the emotions of other people fairly well. When they're upset or happy or angry. He knows. He can't feel the emotions, he can just see it in their expression.

And, like his father, he can be angered extremely easily. He is quick to loosen his tongue around others, which often results in a slap from Symone. He has a tendancy to jump into a fight without even a thought as to the consequences. If he feels threatened or feels as if his family is in harms way then he will not hesitate to attack anything and anyone.

Image

Appearance:
Slade's hair is dark brown, and is usually swept to one side over his forehead. His eyes match his hair colour, only slightly darker. He gets the majority of his features from his mother. Like his olive complexion. He stands at around 6'0". Slade isn't the most muscular of men, and he's actually pretty skinny for someone with as much physical strength as he. Looks can be deceiving.

His clothing choice is pretty average. He goes for plain colours like greys, blacks and whites, with the occasional blue or red. All of his favourite t-shirts are v-necks. He can often be seen in skinny jeans or shorts. High tops are common for Slade, as they are most comfortable to him. He doesn't wear jewelry or anything fancy like that.

Slade darted from one rooftop to another, his body hidden within the darkness of the night. He would have been invisible to any mortal whilst like this, so he worried not about being caught. His only weakness was night vision, because he most likely would've shown up on something like that. He landed silently on the roof of Serpine's home. There was no doubt in his mind that she'd noticed him land, despite making no sound. His power was probably ripping through her senses by now.

He dropped from the roof and landed infront of the back door, which was always left open for his return, since Serpine knew he liked to stay out late most nights. Slade entered the house and locked the door behind him, just to be sure nothing got stolen in the night. He held his arms out and inhaled deeply, before shouting out; "I have returned!". Upon recieving no reply, he sighed. "Typical".

And that was the last thing he remembered from that night. No memories from before or after that were anywhere to be found in his mind. His eyelids shot open to see his plain, white ceiling. He was back in his room, in his bed. Fully clothed. He lifted his head up, and a throbbing pain appeared in his temple. "Fuck sake," he groaned, attempting to rub away the pain. To his disappointment, the pain wasn't going away.

Slowly he clambered out of bed and stumbled into the downstairs kitchen. "Water.. I need water," mumbled Slade, quickly moving to turn the cold tap on. He wasted no time with a glass, he simply cuffed his hands together and drank from there. With his sleeve he wiped the water from his mouth before turning the tap off.

He wondered where Serpine was at this time, although she most likely left early for work. He didn't even know what time it was, whether he'd slept until early morning, mid-day, or perhaps even evening. He dug a hand deep into his pocket and slumped to the kitchen floor, pulling out his mobile phone.

[Guys, anyone know what time it is? I can't move from this spot and my phone doesn't have the correct time] he texted to everyone in his contact list. He pulled his knees to his chest and placed his forehead against them, closing his eyes for a moment, enjoying the silence of an empty house.

Symone had started her day early. She'd been dancing at a dance studio for most of the day. She was on her way toward her bike when she received a text from her brother.

Guys, Anyone know what time it is?

I can't move from this spot.
And My Phone doesn't have the correct time.

She walked toward the parking lot, her black hair at the mercy of the wind.
You really are hopeless sometimes, Slade. It's 4, I'm on my way.

Sym texted back. She climbed on her bike, slide on her helmet and took off toward her brother's place.

To most people, riding a motorcycle, with just jean shorts, a black leather jacket. a thin top and some black fringe boots would have been ridiculous. The weather, thought it was rather warm would have still be a little too cold for that but Sym was normal far from it in fact, she wasn't even human.

She pulled up to her brother's place and didn't even bother to knock. "Slade!" She called, knowing full well he couldn't move, it was the perfect opportunity to pick with him. One of her favorite passtimes. She found him almost immediately. "Oh Woe is me." She mocked him, placing her hands on her hips with her helmet resting under her arm.

Marcus lay on his bed watching the butterfly that had managed to fly into his room flutter about, his xbox was left on but it was only to play the new Woodkid album at a louder level than his laptop and the shouts of his father.

He looked down at his bedroom floor, it had been littered with dirty and clean clothes alike, a few bits of paper and some books lay around too. He threw his bed sheets off him and walked over to his wardrobe, he pulled out a grey t-shirt with the old mtv sign on it, his favourite pair of jeans and his converse.

He left his room, taking a quick shower, brushed his teeth and applied deodorant before heading downstairs.

He headed straight for the kitchen, he filled a bowl with coco pops and milk and put a slice of white bred in the toaster. He put the tv on and listened to the morning radio channels. "Are you going out like that?" Marcus her someone scoff from behind him.
"No, these are my pyjamas. " He replied sarcastically with a mouthful of coco pops. His dad's new wife looked horrified and turned away, 'No way is that child gay." She thought to herself, not knowing Marcus could hear her thoughts. He smiled to himself before finishing his meal and going back upstairs.

When he reached his room, he heard his phone whistle, he snatched it from the bed side table, the number wasn't recognised. [Who is this?] He text back, before deciding to play some Assassin's Creed 3.

The vibrations of his phone caused him to snap out of his daydreams and his gaze travelled downwards. Slade picked it up and read the text sent from his sister; [You really are hopeless sometimes, Slade. It's 4, I'm on my way]. He cursed her under his breath and began to twiddle his thumbs. Then another text came in; [Who is this?]. Slade flashed his phone a crooked smile before putting it beside him. "Save that for another time," he said quietly.

After about 10 minutes of silence, he heard a knock on the door and then his name being called. Instantly he knew it was Sym. "Fuck you, just get inside," he shouted, before clutching onto his forehead to stop the intense pain. Sym stepped into his vision. "Oh Woe is me." she said mockingly. "Shut it, I'm not in the mood," he replied.

He clenched his fist and drove it into the side behind him, the force giving him a slight boost as he attempted to stand up. Once completely up, he clutched onto the kitchen side infront of him for support. Slowly Slade turned his head to examine the damage left by his fist. It wasn't that bad, considering he hadn't use much force. "Oh well, nothing a little money can't fix".

"Right, now to start the day. What we got planned, twatface?".

Slade took the drink in his hands but placed it back on the side because he'd already had a drink. "Drink, Buttmunch, The day's half over," said Sym. With a small sigh, he picked the drink back up and took a few sips. "Happy?" he asked rhetorically. "Besides, You'll need your strength. There's a party tonight. On second thought, Don't come, then maybe I can get a date.".

Slade huffed out of pure frustration. He had no choice but to attend the party now. Since he was extremely protective over Sym, he couldn't allow her to just casually date random men, with no idea of their identity or past. For all he knew, they could have abilities aswell, and could take advantage of Sym. The thought made him sick.

"I'll be there," he muttered, "but don't expect that just because I'm anti-social I won't attempt to question the men that approach you. They'll have a lot to answer for before they're allowed anywhere near you and your.. flower". Slade squinted briefly, before slowly walking past Sym. "I need to get myself cleaned up, won't take long".

As Slade made his way up the stairs, his ears caught onto Sym's words. "Fine, Go, You stink real bad, and I don't need you acting like Dad," she said. Slade clenched his fists, "I am not like dad," he replied grumpily, "I wont end up like him either". Without another word, he continued his journey upstairs and into his own room, slamming the door behind him. Normal insults didn't bother Slade, he actually found them quite amusing, but being compared to Alex was like pushing a child off a cliff and laughing as they fall to their death.

About an hour later, he returned downstairs. His hair was still scruffy, but had been washed, his face was much more clear, and he was wearing a new outfit. "I'm ready," he stated, looking at Sym with his usually intense glare, "are you?". He moved forward and leaned against the counter. "And when the hell is this 'party' starting? I don't mean to sound impatient but I'd sooner have it over with, y'know".

Slade watched Sym pull out her phone and text Lucy, tapping his fingers against the desk silently as he waited. When she was done, their eyes met and she began to talk. "Look about what I said," she started, "I didn't mean it. I just got worked up is all. You know how I get". Slade shook his head, "honestly, don't worry about it. I'll live through the pain". He faked a sad face, before flashing her a rare grin, running one hand through his thick brown hair. Sym was one of the only people to see his grin, usually he just glared, or had no emotion.

"Serpine should be arriving home from work soon, so we can set off when she's all ready, that's if she wants to attend the party," he told Sym, "I have no doubt she will, but she might be tired". He shifted his gaze around the room, and then a look of remembrance replaced his exression. He pulled the phone from his pocket, and replied to the person who'd texted him before.

[You should know who I am, you have my number, don't you?].

He looked back up at Sym, "little rich kid might not be as smart as we would've thought. No wonder he's living off his dad". He put his phone back on the side. "I honestly don't know why I'm friends with half these people. If they weren't your friends I'd probably hate them".

"Lucy and Mike are family, so you're stuck with them." said Sym, causing him to groan. "I know, but that doesn't mean I hate them any less," he replied. "Marcus is nice too, and cute". Slade deepened his glare, focusing it on Sym's face. "And gay," he added in a bitter tone. He didn't dislike the fact that Marcus was gay - it didn't bother him in the slightest - however Sym calling him cute was just way too weird for Slade's liking.

"I'm going to go out back and practise some techniques, don't bother waiting for me. I'll be there are nine, 'kay?" he asked, but without a proper answer he turned to exit through the back door. He'd usually use the back garden as a training ground of sorts, and he knew Serpine didn't care so long as he didn't make too much noise and attract unnecessary attention. He preferred to keep his abilities on the down-low, until the time came when he decided to become some sort of Vigilante.

Slade slumped to the ground and sat with his legs crossed and his hands held out in the air. He focussed all of his energy into his palms, then up into the tips of his fingers. As soon as he moved them an inch, the grass began to lengthen, until it was at lengths with his fingertips. It wasn't an attacking or defending technique, just a little something to pass the time. He let his arms fall limply at his sides, causing the grass to shrink and return to its original height.

He could feel the gentle vibrations of his phone through the ground, and assuming it was Marcus replying to his text he didn't bother to get up. He'd check it later, when he felt like it. He was pretty sure it was nothing of importance to him anyway, since he didn't give a damn about nearly anything.

Slowly he leaned back, until his back touched the ground. Slade would most likely stay like that for a while. He had nowhere to go, no one to meet.

The silence was shattered as Sym's loud footsteps shook the ground beneath Slade. "Andy and Ashley are in town. I'm going over to see Ash before the party, you wanna come?" asked Sym. Slade looked up and thought for a brief moment, before concluding that he would like to see his favourite cousin. Usually kids weren't his favourite, but Ashley struck a chord within him. He adored her.

"Sure, I'll come along," he said, before forcing himself to stand up. He brushed the grass off of himself and began to walk towards the house and past Sym. "It would be nice to see Ashley again, she's such a fun kid to be around, even for someone like me. You just can't ignore the cuteness", he scrunched up his face after, but only for a moment.

He walked through the house until he reached the front door, which he then used as an exit. He stood at the top of the few steps leading to the garden, waiting for Sym to join him. "Race you there?" he asked with a small smile.

Andrew/Ashley

As usual Andrew was letting Ashley win in Mario Kart. He kept getting third while she got first. Ashley didn't care she liked winning. "I win!" She exclaimed loudly. She got off the couch and did her winner dance. She cabbage patched and then plopped back down on the couch. "I am going to beat you Ashley." He said knowing that he was going to allow her to win. "Yea right." Ashley said. Andrew laughed and started up another round.

Mid way through the game he paused it when he received two texts. One from Mike and the other from Sym. "Cheater!" Ashley shouted. Andrew rolled his eyes.
To: Andrew
From: Mike
Sup dude, long time no see! We meet at 8! B)

To:Mike
From: Andrew
I know. We don't hang out enough.

Andrew sent the message and glanced over to the empty spot next to him. "Ash?" Looking around she was in the kitchen grabbing a juice box. "What? I got thirsty." She said walking back to the couch. He opened the next message from Sym.

To: Andrew
From: Sym
It's a 9! Ohh Tell Ashley her favorite cuz sayz Hi. We are totally going shopping this weekend. On second thought, I'm gonna come over before the party. Poor things probably bummed she can't go. :(

Andrew rolled his eyes at the text. Sym was always babying Sym, but she was pretty much the older sister Ashley couldn't ever have. As many times Andrew played dress up he could only pretend for so long. So now Sym and Lucy play with her. He will stick to being the big brother.

To: Sym
From: Andrew
Mike said 8. Ashley loves going shopping with you. And hurry up and get over here.

He sent the message and put the phone back into her pocket. He looked as Ashley and smile. "Sym is coming." Ashley's eyes got wide and she ran up the stairs. "I have to change!" She screamed while going up the staircase. Ashley was in pajamas earlier since she didn't need to change, but she liked dressing up for Sym. "ANDY! Come and brush my hair please!" Andrew turned off the Wii and jogged up the stairs to braid his sisters hair.

Ashley's room was bright pink and a bit smaller than Andrew's room. She has her own private bathroom as well which she insisted be painted the same color as her room. She has pictures of her and her brother on the wall along with a few pictures of their parents. A lot of them had their cousins in it. They were all very close and Ashley loved all of them even though sometimes she was annoying.

Ashley came out of the bathroom with blue skinny jeans and a purple top that Sym bought for her the last time. She gave a twirl and Andrew nodded in approval. Ashley handed him the brush and sat down on the floor. "Gently. Last time I thought you were going to take my head off." She playfully complained. "Okay." He said and then he brushed her hair up until their cousin comes.

Slade watched in amusement as Sym began to shift her form, now having skin as black as night, and a shadowy hue about her. "You're on," she said, before disappearing completely from his view, only then to race off on her bike. "Now, that's hardly fair," he mumbled. He again did the same as her, only his skin stayed it's natural colour, with a green hue to his body. Since he'd taken more over his mother's side, her was more into learning to shift into a Dryad rather than a Wraith.

As soon as he felt ready, he jumped far enough into the air to grab onto the ledge of the roof, then swing around and land on it perfectly. He followed in Sym's direction, trailing her Ducati with much ease. Such a display of abilities in public was bound to cause some sort of disturbance, but strangely enough people didn't notice. It was odd that nobody noticed the one guy running as fast as a Ducati with a glowing green body.

They were closing the distance between them and Ash's house, and unfortunately for him Slade was still about a metre back from Sym. He attempted to pick up speed, however his attempt failed. He'd lost the race. He came to an abrupt halt right outside the house. "Okay, you cheated," he pointed out, "technically, if one person is running, the other person should be running too. No one ever won a race against a person on a bike, even if they do have enhanced physical abilties... Cheater. You try beating me at a normal race and the outcome would be totally different". He placed one hand on his chest and breathed as deeply as he could. Despite being super-human, running did take a lot out of him.

Andrew/Ashley

Andrew finished brushing her hair and Ashley she stood up and put the brush back inside the bathroom. "Andy are they here yet?" Andrew walked over to the window and looked outside. He knew they didn't see him, but he smiled. He rarely got company. Even though he knows they are only visiting for Ashley its nice to have people come over. "Go get them." Ashley jumped up and down with joy and ran out of her room and down the staircase. She loved her cousins. Especially Slade. She was Slade's favorite so she likes him the most. She loves Sym as well and loves doing sister things with her, but Slade seems to only be happy around Ashley.

Andrew walked down the stairs toward the living and cleaned up the mess they left in the living room. Ashley opened the door, ran out and hugged Slade tight. Andrew just sat on the couch. They weren't here to see him anyway. They would hang with Ashley and then they would go to the party. Checking the time he knew Lucy hated them right about now. They skipped set up and they are going to be late to the party, but she will quickly get over it.

"Hi Slade I missed you." She said into his shirt. She let go of him and saw Sym on the bike. She ran over to her and hugged her although she was still on the bike. "I missed you too Sym." She said into her shirt. She let go of her and walked toward the house. She stood right by the door she left wide open and waited for them to come up. She looked back at her brother who was sitting on the couch enjoying a can of soda. "Aren't you going to hug them Andy?" Andrew looked at her and laughed. "Too old to hug them Ash." He said honestly.

"You never set any perimeters, Simon." said Sym. Slade tensed, "don't call me that, Symone". He listened as she carried on being a smartass, without actually paying any real attention at all. He felt her pat his cheek, and Slade jokingly went to bite at her fingers. "Yeah, whatever, you still cheated".

Next thing he knew he'd had the wind knocked out of him by a little girl, crushing his stomache. "Hi Slade I missed you." said Ashley. Slade held in his breath so as not to look like he was in pain, and exhaled as deeply as he ever had when she let go and rushed over to Sym.

Slade trailed behind Ash as they walked towards the door to the house. He set his eyes on Andrew, one of the many cousins he wasn't so fond of.

"Aren't you going to hug them Andy?" Ashley asked.

"Yeah, Andrew, where's my hug?" Slade repeated jokingly.

"Too old to hug them Ash." replied Andrew.

"You're never too old for a hug." Sym said.

Sym then became picky about Ashley's hair, so he figured it was at this point that he should clear out the cupboards. He hadn't eaten yet and he was starving. He opened the cupboards and laid eyes upon all the choices, "one of the advantages about having rich family; free food".

Andrew/Ashley

"You're never too old for a hug." Sym said to him. Before Andrew could run away Sym grabbed hold of him. He hugged her back since she wasn't going to let go otherwise. "Yeah, Andrew, where's my hug?" Andrew raised an eyebrow at him and let go of Sym. He held his arms wide open towards him. "I always knew you loved me Slade." He walked over to Slade and hugged him before Slade could do anything about it. Once Andrew let go he ran towards Sym's side so that he would be safe. Ashley just smiled and stayed close to Slade.

With his eyes Andrew followed Slade into the kitchen. Obviously he was going to eat whatever pleased. "No. Help yourself Slade." Ashley skipped after Slade and hopped on the counter and sat on it. She heard Sym complain about Andrew brushing her hair. "What do you mean what did I do to it? I spent half and hour brushing." Andrew defended. He was used to Sym's jokes and pranks, but every time she complained it seemed real. It annoyed him.

He pulled out his phone when he felt it vibrate it was Mike. If it had been Lucy he knew that he would have been dead. He read the message and smiled. Just like Mike to say something like that. Andrew thought to himself.

To: Mike
From: Andrew
You're not all that Mike. btw I will be there soon.

He sent the message and slipped the phone back into his pocket. He didn't even bother checking the time knowing that is was past 9:30. They were all in trouble. "We are all in trouble when we get to Lucy's house." He said sitting down on the couch not even wanting to go since it would be a death sentence.

Ashley growled and bound everyone's legs to the floor with tree branches. She was more made at Andrew for wanting to leave still and she was made at her cousins for going with him. She looked at Slade who was the closet to her. "You aren't going to leave are you?" She didn't give them much of a choice at this point, but she would like to hear a no. Andrew leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes. He went through this. It was someone else's turn.

He was munching on some Oreos when suddenly he wasn't able to move. Looking down he saw roots and branches curling around his legs. He had to admitt that Ash was pretty good with her control over earth. She'd make a fine fighter one day. He felt her eyes on him, so he turned his head and stared back at her, his expression softer than it had been previously.

"You aren't going to leave are you?" asked Ash. Slade felt guilty now. He couldn't imagine what it was like for her to know such a large event was happening and she couldn't even go. After a moment of thought, Slade shook his head. "I'll stay here with you, if you'd like". His words were true, it really wasn't any trouble for him to stay and take care of Ash. He didn't even want to go to the party anyway. And as for protecting Sym he could easily text Dahvie to keep an eye on her. The two got a long well anyway.

"We could play games, just chill and stuff. Sounds fun, right?" he asked with an unusually large grin.

Andrew/Ashley

"I'll stay here with you, if you'd like" Ashley nodded. She would rather be with Slade than her uncle Cameron any day. She hated being in the dragon realm. "We could play games, just chill and stuff. Sounds fun, right?" Ashley hopped off the counter and hugged Slade. "Yay. Thanks Slade." She exclaimed. "But Peanut can you please get theses vines off my feet?" Ashley let go of Slade and removed the vines from everyone's feet.

Andrew stood up and walked away from the couch just in case Ashley pulled anymore tricks. "Andy, Lucy is gonna really wanna kill us. We really oughta get going." Andrew checked the time himself and nodded. "Yea I would like to live." Andrew wrapped his arm around Sym's shoulder and walked towards the door. "I keep her out of trouble Slade. Take care of Ashley." Andrew said walking by the kitchen. Ashley ran out of the kitchen and hugged Andrew from behind. Andrew bent down and kissed the top of Ashley's head. "Call uncle Cameron and tell him not to come." Ashley nodded and ran back to Slade.

"Come on Slade. Let's play Mario Kart." She said turning on the Wii and setting up the game. Andrew pushed Sym out the door so that they could hurry up and Andrew shut the door behind him. "We are not carpooling just in case you go home with someone else." He said unlocking the Mercedes door.

Slade watched as Sym and Andrew left together, being partially distracted by Ashley's request to play Mario Kart. As the door shut, he heard Andrew's faint voice; "We are not carpooling just in case you go home with someone else". Slade's fingers curled into his palms and his face tensed. Like he was going to let that happen. "In a second, honey, I gotta go to the bathroom". He ruffled her long, brown hair and then exited into the hallway and up the stairs.

Finding the bathroom was no trouble at all, since he'd visited Ashley and Andrew many times in the past, seeing as their parents were close and often visited eachother. He closed the door behind him and locked it. "Right," he whispered in the quietest voice he could possible pull off, before sitting on the floor with his legs crossed. Coils of shadows curled around his body, then moved along the floor and stopping infront of him. Soon the shadows formed a figure, exactly the same as his own. Features like skin, eyes, hair, etc. all started to form.

He stood up, as did his clone. This was a little trick Alex had taught him during his early childhood, and it was something he had come to master over time. His clones were made to look, act, feel and have the same abilities as Slade. Their power was the same. It would take a real genius to figure out the differences between the two.

"Clone, you know what to do," he said, to which his replicate replied with a nod. "I sure do". The clone walked past Slade and left the bathroom, before taking a seat on the sofa downstairs. "Ready to play?" he asked Ashley.

The real Slade was already climbing out the bathroom window by this point, running along the rooftops in the direction of Lucy's party. It took him about 10-15 minutes to arrive at their door. He needn't knock, merely just walk in. He watched as drunk teenagers staggered around, holding cups of alcohol as they chatted with other drunk teenagers. There truely was nothing better than a weekend party...

He heard Andrew pull up in the car, and he figured that if he was to be seen then he'd have a hell of a lot of explaining to do, especially since it would appear that he'd simply just left a 9 year old alone in a large house. 'Should be fun,' he thought.

He turned to see Sym storming up to him. "You pulled that Clone Shadow Trick, Didn't you? Ugh, You are impossible! You just couldn't leave me be for a few hours and give Ashley your undivided attention?" she shouted, shoving him in the chest. A low growl rumbled through his chest and broke through his clenched jaw. "You'll regret this". Slade's eyes narrowed, "I doubt it" he replied. He then got hair flicked in his face as Sym turned to walk away.

Honestly, he didn't feel bad. Technically he was still with Ashley, and all memories from their activities would be in his own mind when he poofed away his clone. He was giving her his attention, just with a different body.

"You know what, Sym? FUCK you," he screamed back at her, not even caring about how much attention he'd drawn to himself. "I'm not gonna bother with trying to protect you. You wanna get a date, then go the fuck out and get a date. It doesn't concern me. You can go out and trust people, that's your choice. Don't bother dragging me into it. I won't be there to help when you fall on your ass".

Without another word, he flew out of the door at a speed far beyond the capabilities of a human. People turned their heads and watched with curiosity as he jumped over the fence and ran far from the house.

Andrew

Andrew saw Sym but was dragged in side. He didn't understand until he saw Slade. "Dammit Slade." He said knowing his sister was probably home alone right about now. But Sym did enough yelling for the both of them. "You pulled that Clone Shadow Trick, Didn't you? Ugh, You are impossible!" Andrew agreed but kept quiet. "You just couldn't leave me be for a few hours and give Ashley your undivided attention?" Andrew wanted to calm her down, but Sym didn't have the best temper. "You'll regret this." Sym walked away and Andrew just stood there. "I wasn't going to let anything happen to her." He said as he ran a hand through his hair. Slade yelled at Sym and then disappeared. Andrew wanted to leave at the moment. He was angry at the fact that Slade just left Ashley, but clearly he was going back to her.

Ashley

"In a second, honey, I gotta go to the bathroom". Ashley watched him disappear and she sat on the couch playing a few rounds of the game by herself. Then her cousin came back down the stairs. "Ready to play?" Ashley paused the game and eyed the shadow version of Slade and through the wii remote right at it. It didn't yelp or sense any pain. Now Ashley was angry. This was not Slade. She ran up the stairs to the bathroom and it was empty. Slade had left her with a shadow form of him. She felt insulted since he thought she was that dumb to fall for the shadow. She ran to her room and shut the door. She sat in the corner trying to contain her anger. She didn't want to destroy anything.
