Role: Haze Member 1
Gender: Male
Nickname(s)/Alias(es): Matt, the Manderson, and Matty. If you really don't want him to complain at you, stick to Matt.
Age: 21
Face Claim: Andrew Garfield
Power(s): Variable Manipulation: The ability to manipulate quantifiable values, or "variables". This power lends itself to usefulness in a few different ways.
~Menu. Matthew can interact with the world around him as if he were in a video game. By speaking the activation phrase, “Open user interface,” Matthew can literally create a small, holographic menu with five different options, one per button. It should be noted that activating this menu DOES NOT stop time and allow him to peruse at leisure. The menu will create changes in real time, but it DOES NOT pause it.
~Stat Screen. By selecting the button labeled, “Character Stats”, Matthew can open up a menu that shows every stat he has. This list includes strength, speed, dexterity, agility, endurance, durability, stamina, constitution, accuracy, perception, intelligence, wisdom, and luck. He has 8 stat points per level and is currently level 21. Each stat has a number associated with it from 1 to 25. The larger the number, the better he is at performing physical feats that utilize those stats. He is capable of emptying the points from any category, and reassigning them at his leisure, however he must do so through the system. He can’t just decide that his stats are different. Further, he can only use the points that are available to him. He is not capable of filling each stat to full with sheer willpower alone.
~Inventory: The inventory is exactly what it sounds like. An alternate dimension with a quasi-endless amount of space for all of the weapons and armor he carries with him. Since it’s an alternate dimension that's “stored” in his pack, it weighs next to nothing. The inventory is capable of appraising the items within, allowing him to see the item’s rarity, durability, weight, and sharpness. Once an item is equipped it will shimmer into existence around Matthew, in the appropriate item slot of course, and a small "E" will be marked next to the item. For example, let's say Matthew equips a hammer. The hammer will shimmer into existence in Matthew's hand and an "E" will be marked next to the hammer in the Inventory. The only things that are currently in the Inventory are his Knight gear, his Rogue gear, and his Ranger gear.
~Skill Tree: The skill tree is exactly what it sounds like. It’s got 3 categories in it to reflect the different classes of your stereotypical Fantasy Role-Playing game. The classes are as follows: The Knight, a heavily armored and durable class; the Rogue, a light fingered and deadly assassin; and the Ranger, a hunter of anything between his sights. Each tree has 21 skill slots, each worth a point. By placing one of his skill points in a skill slot, Matthew gains the benefit of the slot. The slots are fairly self-explanatory and have three basic categories: stat boost, active attack, and ultimate skill. Stat boosts are exactly what they sound like. By placing a skill point into the stat boost slot, Matthew can boost a stat or group of stats by another 3-5 points. Active attacks are special moves that allow Matthew to perform high level maneuvers. Each active attack comes with something called, "System Assist." This "System Assist" takes the form of a boost in movement and raw power that comes directly from Matthew's powers. It allows Matthew to perform combo attacks without damaging his own body. Finally, there is an Ultimate Skill. This is the last slot in the tree and is a combination of stat boosts and active attacks. It's a skill that is the pinnacle of each tree, and each are different. Unfortunately, Matthew only has 20 skill points and 21 are required to access the ultimate skill.
Height: 6 feet two inches
Weight: 170 lbs. He's tall and skinny with a decent bit of muscle on him, but it's nothing to write home about. The only time he ever looks beefy is when he's got a full strength stat and it doesn't happen often.
