APPEARANCE

Gamble has grey-blue eyes and short cropped black hair. She has Caucasian skin and multiple tattoos. As far as body shape, Gamble is 5’4”, 115 lbs and fairly muscular. She has a fairly androgynous overall look. She can come across as both masculine or feminine, and has been gendered by strangers in both ways. She doesn’t really care how people look at her or see her, however, and just takes most things as a compliment if there’s any question.

STYLE

Gamble doesn’t conform to a gender, and her style reflects that. She will wear clothing whether it’s “masculine” or “feminine” as it is one of her goals as an NB to prove that gender really doesn’t exist. She sees fashion as an art form and will gladly allow some to give her a “makeover” if it makes them happy. Other than that, clothing, she believes, should be comfortable and stylish.

Everyday Standing at 5’4”, Gamble likes to wear boots with a bit of a heel that still give her a rugged look. She normally only brings one pair of shoes with her, and is currently rocking black combat boots, complete with a steel toe. She tends to wear jeans and a tee shirt with either a leather jacket or a red flannel over it. She has been known to call her style “lesbian chic,” but if she was really going to give it a name, she’d probably just go with “casual grunge.”

Sleepwear Her sleepwear consists of pajama pants or boxers and a t-shirt or one of the two cheap sports bras she owns, which she wears as undergarments instead of a bra or binder.

Swimwear Gamble owns one swimsuit that consists of a black bikini top and shorts that both have a highly athletic feel to them.

Formal While surprising to some, Gamble owns several dresses, all black or purple, that she reserves for more formal occasions. To a formal event, she will wear loafers, a black dress, and a blazer. She’ll argue that the dress is easier to pack than a suit.

Gamble has suffered from anxiety and depression most of her life and it sparks up around certain things or situations.

EATING HABITS

Although she tried to be a vegetarian for about two years because of the girl she was then dating, Gamble will eat just about anything that’s offered to her now, but still insists on a mainly plant-based diet. If she can, she will eat fish twice a week. She’s a bit of a health nut, mostly because of her parental tendencies.

PERSONALITY

Gamble is exceptionally caring, supportive, and protective. She tends to parent everyone she comes across if she thinks it will make them better. At times, however, she can be extremely overbearing, nosey, and strict. She does not appreciate being talked back to and she definitely does not like when people tell her she’s being too smothering. She is easily made defensive.

RELATIONSHIPS

Family: Her parents are currently living in New York with her youngest sister Alexandra, who is 16. Her brother Owen (18) is currently in the army. And her sister Elaina (20) is currently in school for early childhood education. She often writes letters to her sisters, but she is not very close to her parents.

Friends: She has had two best friends for the longest time: Teresa Sato and (TBD). She is very close with both of them and is quite protective when it comes to these two. She thinks of them as siblings, but treats them more like children.

Romantic Interests: She has dated in the past, but her last relationship ended when she graduated from college. She is currently single, but has the hardest time flirting with girls.

STRENGTHS

Exceptionally loyal. Once you are her friend, you will have an ally for life.
Protective of her friends. Friends, to Gamble, are the “families you chooses” and she chooses to have a big family. She also intends to act as the patriarch of that family and will do anything and everything she can to keep them safe and happy.
Strong moral compass. And just general rational thinking. She likes to have fun, but also believes in safety and the importance of doing the right thing. She will tend to encourage this in others, too, making her seem like a motherhen.
Skilled at making people feel comfortable and like she’s on their side, and for the most part she is. She used to call it her “lesbian charm” back in high school, but no matter what it is, she has a way with people.
Ever the optimist. She’s the one who will look for the solution to any problem, or at least the lesson to be learned from it.
Good at writing and has really nice handwriting. In fact, she keeps a small, worn out journal which she will write about things when it strikes her interest. She wants to be a travel writer one day and is currently in search of that next adventure.
Genuine and kind. She really does care about other people and is fascinated by their backstories. She wants to be able to find a story in anything.
Knows how to have a good time. She’s adventurous and believes in the importance of adventure and exploration. While she is a sort of parent to her close friends, she believes in the importance of finding yourself through your own adventures and will encourage this in others.
Honest, she’ll tell you exactly what she’s thinking. For the most part, at least. She will never tell you a white lie if she believes the truth will help you. And if she’s upset in something that you’ve done, she will sure as hell let you know what it was and how you can fix it.

FLAWS

Can often come across as possessive of her friends, and in many ways that’s true. She doesn’t want to be left alone and had severe abandonment problems. She will often put her friends before herself and others just to make sure that they don’t leave her and will get upset if she thinks that someone will be taking her friends from her.
Easily made defensive of both herself and her friends. She feels lucky to have the friends that she does and is afraid of change in most situations.
Exceptionally stubborn when she thinks she’s in the right.
Quick to judge people based on their looks and first impressions.
Her opinions on people are not easily changed. If she has decided that someone is a good person, she will defend them in most situations, even if she logically knows they are in the wrong. And if she has decided that she does not like someone, she is hard to win back.
Suffers from sever depression and anxiety that she insists on hiding from the outside world. In fact, she really doesn’t want to let anyone know that she is struggling and will tend to bottle up any emotion that is not optimistic and outgoing. While she is brutally honest with others, she is not an asshole about it, but takes that a little too far by sticking to the code that if it does not help them to know something, then they don’t need to know it.
Has trouble leaving a toxic relationship. She is easily used by people once she trusts them. She will let herself be walked all over by someone because she refuses to see their flaws. While she will gladly stand up for her friends no matter what, she tends to let herself be used and abused.
Slightly aggressive. Seeing herself in many ways as the “man of the house” growing up, she learned to punch first and ask questions later. She will gladly throw the first punch in a tense situation, which is normally not the best course of action.
Strict. She isn’t afraid to put her foot down and tell someone no, and will often become upset if she does not get her way. She expects to be listened to.

QUIRKS AND SKILLS

Oral fixation. She likes to have things in her mouth, most often a toothpick.
Carries around a small notebook that she will often write things down in when she is struck with inspiration.
She is fairly decent in a fight for her small size.
She technically can play guitar, but not very well.
Athletic, and skilled at most physical activity that does not require extensive training (she can climb a tree and swim across a river, but she can’t shoot a bow and arrow or parkour across rooftops.)
