In Depth
Willow looks like a typical surfer or beach girl, and while she does spend a lot of time out walking around, she actually spends more time behind a computer screen than she does at the beach. Her wavy wind-swept her is a product of her dislike of hairdryers, so she mainly just lets her hair air dry.

Personality
Willow is a very independent and fierce-spirited woman. She likes to attribute her success in her field to her metaphorical "balls", because she doesn't think she would be where she is - working for who she is working for - if it weren't for her ability to not take shit from people. In the audio production field, bands and their managers can be downright nasty about how they want their sound to be - even if they can't achieve it on their own. It's Willow's job to fix mistakes, remix audio tracks, record the songs, and produce the final cuts. Being that it is such an important and well paid job in the music industry, it comes with a lot of stress. Willow has the ability to manage her time and stress levels well...

History

Willow was born in sunny California, and grew up in Los Angeles all her life. At the age of 19, just after she had graduated and was taking courses in audio production at the local university, she met Ammy. It was as if everything just clicked - they were stuck together like glue. Willow thought it was just because they were best friends, but as the years passed by, she realized how her feelings for the girl she spent so much time with had changed. She didn't want to ruin things, so she kept her mouth shut and just lived as they had, until one day when Ammy asked her out on a date. It was such a huge step for Willow, and she was more than willing to make that leap with Ammy. Since then, they have been happily together.

Willow appreciates that her parents are open and supporting of her relationship - she suspects that they might have known about her true feelings for Ammy before she even did herself. She's glad that she has them by her side, always ready to aide in any support the two might need.

They had spoken a lot about starting a family, and Willow thought it was the right time for them to get married. Willow was in the middle of an amazing career, working as an audio producer for a lot of really famous singers and bands. She was invited to a lot of different parties from some of these artists, and she liked to take Ammy with her when she went to parties. It was a fun thing for them to do together, and it gave Willow the chance to network with new artists she could potentially work for in the future. She also brought Ammy to the Grammys a few times, and Willow is the proud owner of 5 Grammy awards - two for Record of the Year, and three for Album of the Year, received as part of the production team for some truly amazing works. After her most recent award, she decided that was the time to pop the question. After they had retired home for the night, she proposed to Ammy, and of course she said yes. And from there, they began searching around the sperm banks in the local area to find a potential father with some of the same facial structures as Willow had, so she could feel more like a true parent to the child, even if they didn't share the same DNA. Someone they were both in agreeance on was found, and they tried multiple inseminations to get Ammy pregnant, but it just didn't seem to be catching.

Willow hated to see Ammy so upset over the fact that she wasn't getting pregnant. But at the same time, she was kind of thankful that it wasn't catching. She wanted to start a family with Ammy... but she wanted the chance to get to marry her first. It wasn't too long before Ammy approached her about finding a surrogate. Willow couldn't possibly say no - especially with the look of hope that was finally on Ammy's face. She figured she could suck it up and make everything work if she just didn't think about it too hard. She didn't want to feel like she was rushing - which was how she felt - and once they found a surrogate, a young lady by the name of Anna, she felt like things were really starting to come by quickly.

She knows she loves Ammy more than anything, but now she's starting to worry that she's rushing head-first into something she isn't quite ready for. And on top of that, Ammy has felt sick for the past couple of days, and she's hoping that it isn't anything serious. With their wedding coming up soon, she would feel horrible if Ammy didn't enjoy that day as much as she will.

So begins...

Anna woke up with a jerk. She was having a terriable night sleeping. She had woken up like five times to go pee and the baby kept kicking like crazy. She decided that maybe this was not such a good idea of hers anyway. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Having crazy ideas was kind of her thing. She never let herself do them actually but this seemed like a good idea. So she did it. She decided that even though it was five thirty in the morning she might as well get up and get dressed and go eat something for breakfast. She got up and walked to the closet grabbing a pair of maternity jeans and a tank top with a nice sweater to go with it. She dressed into it and looked in the mirror. "You are getting bigger every day Anna." Anna hadn't seen her dads in a while for the conflict of not wanting to tell them that she was doing this. She hadn't even decided what she was going to do about Thanksgiving since she promised she would come home and celebrate Thanksgiving with the folks. And since most likely The mothers of her baby wouldn't like her going with out them so... It just would be easier if she came up with an excuse not to go and not have all the Drama.

Anna walked down that hall to her kitchen and opened the fridge. She had to eat something she was getting hungry. Anna decided to make herself some pancakes and bacon. She made that and brought it to where the TV was and sat down and turned it on. Nothing being on she put in the movie Annie and watched it singing along remembering the time she wanted to be Annie. Anna decided to continue to watch and slightly looked out the window. Since it was only seven something when the movie was over Anna decided to call the mothers of their baby and tell them that they had to meet her at the very first birthing class. Anna picked up her cell phone and called the number of Amaya and got her voicebox. "Hey Amaya I know it is early and I just um.... wanted to call asking if you were coming to the birthing class. Wondering if you could make it or if there was a delay. Sorry to call early. Home I didn't wake you. Bye."

She got up from her chair and grabbed another movie and watched that until it was 12:00 when she decided to drive over and wait there for them. Anna got up walked out of her apartment and walked all the way to her car. She hopped in buckling up and drove to the building where the birthing classes were. Anna being a bit nervous being pregnant she knew the birth was going to be no picnic. Anna walked over to the front of the building seeing that she was about ten minutes early she decided to sit down on the steps and wait until she saw the Moms. Anna looked and watched as the cars passed hoping to see if any was Amaya's.

Amaya had stayed up really late last night, trying to get caught up on her patient's paperwork, so it'd be ready for the next day when she went back to work. She hated having to miss, but she'd been really sick for the past few days. It hadn't been the first time, she had this same 'episode' last month or so. Amaya was going to see if Willow would tag-along to a doctor's visit later.

Stretching, she heard her phone buzz again and again, signaling someone was contacting her. Glancing at the clock on the phone, it was only 11:30. Amaya sighed as she unlocked her phone, to see a voicemail from the surrogate who was carrying her and her fiance's first child. "Shit." She muttered, and listened to it.

"Hey Amaya I know it is early and I just um.... wanted to call asking if you were coming to the birthing class. Wondering if you could make it or if there was a delay. Sorry to call early. Home I didn't wake you. Bye."

Feeling her heart rate slow down, she let out a sigh, and put her phone on the nightstand again, before rolling over, and expecting to find her gorgeous fiance. "Mmm... Willow... Babes, wake up. " She nudged her shoulder lightly, before pecking it, and Willow's cheek. "Babes, forreal, we've gotta get ready for the birthing class." Amaya giggled, and pecked Willow's nose.

Richie had just woken up, when he heard a female voice. "Passengers, please unbuckle your seatbelts, and take the nearest exit off the plane. Thank you for flying with us, and have a wonderful day." What time is it? He groaned as he shifted in his plane seat, and looked at his wristwatch. Exactly 11:30.

"I hope Rosalie isn't too mad... I'm a little late." He muttered to himself. Richie stood, straightening his camouflage uniform, and making sure his boots were still laced, before opening the overhead compartment, and getting out his camouflage duffle bag.

Like a herd of cows, all the passengers slowly inched their way off the plane, and walked through a long hallway, until they reached inside the airport.

"Now.. if I'm right.. Rosalie said she'd be..." He stopped kinda by the door, and looked around. There were hundreds of people in the airport at this hour. How was he possibly going to find her? Or.. how would she recognize him? He rubbed his chin as he looked, his duffle bag straps in his right hand. Richie'd grown stubble and had longer, darker blonde hair in the months he'd been away.

Slowly opening his eyes Alfie noticed there was more sunlight than there should have been. To his right he could see the alarm clock which showed him it was 9.30 in the morning. Shit, I'm late. When turning over to his left he saw the girl who lived in this apartment. She was blond, and Alfie seemed to remember she had sparkling blue eyes. What he could not remember was her name. Something starting with an S he thought...

Looking over at her he could see she was still fast asleep, maybe aided by the amount of alcohol they consumed the previous night. He slowly removed her arm from his chest and waited a few seconds. Her eyes twitched a bit, but it didn't look like she would wake up. He lifted the sheets and slipped out of bed as carefully as he could. The search for his clothes was not an easy one. He found his shirt half under the bed. His pants could be found on the couch in the living room and his socks and shoes were partly in the kitchen and partly near the front door. His wallet and keys were still in his pants and for some reason his watch was in his left shoe.

Just before he left he had a last glimpse into the bedroom to have a look at... Suzy. No, not Suzy, maybe Stacey...oh, whatever it was, he didn't really care. He stepped through the front door and closed it behind him. At street level he halted a taxi who took him to his office building on Wilshire boulevard. Fully realizing he was wearing the same clothes as yesterday he had to find a way to sneak into the the office without any prying eyes spotting him. He took the east entrance and went into the stairwell rather than the elevator. He sprinted up to the 15th floor as quickly as he could. He opened the door ever so slightly and saw no one around at the moment. He opened the door a bit further and sprinted to the office in the corner. He opened the door and closed it right away. Made it...

He walked to the cabinet in the corner and opened it, revealing a huge mess and a lone sports bag on the bottom shelf. He always kept a bag of gym clothes and normal clothes as a spare. He sat behind his desk and called the first number that he called every single day, his 'boss'. "Hey Marc, do you need me for that meeting with Josh Jiving Juices? I might be needed somewhere else if you don't." After getting the go ahead he picked up his cell phone and send a message to his sister.

Hey Ammy, I know you have that birth thing today. I've cleared my schedule, so please let me know if you need a ride or something.

He tried to sound casual, but to be honest, he was quite excited about becoming an uncle. It was his primary thought these days. After her of course...

It wasn't an understatement that both Willow and Amaya cared about their jobs. Ammy had spent half the night doing paperwork, and Willow had been curled up in a wingback in the library (that doubled as an office) making last minute cuts to a final edit of a new Bastille song for the company she worked for - Universal Music Group. She didn't remember what time she had fallen asleep at, but she woke up in her bed, curled up next to Amaya.

The poor girl had been sick for a while, and Willow was worried that it might be something serious. She closed her eyes again, turning over in bed. It felt only like a few minutes before she heard Amaya begin to stur. Her phone rang, and she heard Ammy search for it, before muttering a light, "Shit..." A light smile tugged at the sides of Willow's mouth, before she quickly extinguished it, settling more into the pillow while she kept her eyes shut.

The weight on the bed shifted a bit, and she felt Amaya kiss her shoulder and then her cheek. "Mmm... Willow... Babes, wake up. " Willow felt a soft nudge. "Babes, forreal, we've gotta get ready for the birthing class."

Opening one eye to look at Amaya, she gave her a tired smile. "I'm awake, I promise." Pushing the covers off the bed, she crawled out and stretched, immediately missing the warmth she just left.

"Who was that on the phone?" she said, her voice fading slightly as she made her way into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She peeked her head out from around the corner to look at Amaya, her toothbrush sticking out from her mouth as she waited for an answer.

Today was the day. Rosalia had stood in front of the long mirror in her walk-in closet for a while that morning, staring at herself from every which way. She was able to see her bump, hell, she wondered who couldn't? At nearly 5 months along, she was really starting to protrude. And it wasn't just something that she could pass off as too many hours behind a computer typing and eating junk food in order to meet her deadlines. She wasn't fooling anyone anymore.

...Which was probably why she was avoiding having a lunch date with her parents anytime soon. Her mother kept asking her when she would be free to go out to Louie's, one of their favorite Italian restaurants in the area, but Rosalia had been putting it off and putting it off. Her excuse was that she was up to her ears in calls from her publisher, wondering when her manuscript was going to be done. And that wasn't a lie - her publisher was breathing down her neck. But the real reason was something much more time-consuming. Something that would eventually poop, cry and need constant care.

Her hand rested on her stomach as she stared at herself, and she couldn't help but smile. Yeah, it was going to be totally hectic and crazy trying to balance motherhood with authorship, but she figured she could make it work. She had Richie, and at least her job was something that one did at home...

She didn't know how Richie was going to take the news though. She wondered if maybe she should have written him about it, or at least told him over the phone. She didn't get much time to talk to him though, and whatever time she had she just wanted to know that he was still okay. She didn't want to break it to him that way, though...

She slipped into a nice flowing dress, one of her last dresses that seemed able to mostly hide her growing baby bump. Double checking her schedule in her phone, she saw that it was about time for her to head to the airport to pick Richie up - afterward, she was scheduled to go to a birthing class. She and Richie had spoken about a meeting place, and she figured that meeting him around the luggage turn rack was probably the easiest. She didn't know how he would react to the birthing class, moreso because she didn't know how he was going to react to the news that she was expecting... She debated going by herself after, but she figured she would come to that road when she needed to.

Rushing from the modest house that the two shared, she hopped in her car and began the drive to the airport. She was lucky to beat the majority of traffic, and arrived just a few minutes before his plane was scheduled to land. She parked her car in satellite parking lot, before making her way inside the airport to the Arrivals terminal. She found the luggage depository that Richie's plane was assigned to, and waited there for him, watching the hallway that lead to where she was standing to see his face. There were so many people moving about, but she was confident that when he came walking down to get his luggage, she would see him.

She felt her baby stir a bit when she thought about him, and she couldn't help the content smile that touched her face at the feeling. She wanted him to be able to feel it too...

Amaya giggled as Willow gave her that tired smile she'd fell in love with. She was bursting with happiness as her wifey was now awake.

"I'm awake, I promise..... Who was that on the phone?"

God, Amaya felt love for her fiance every morning. "Well, first it was Anna wanting to know if we were still going to the birthing class or not." She groaned, and got up, joining Willow in the bathroom, and brushing her own teeth as well, before finishing her answer. "Then, Alvaro called, wanting to know if I needed anything." Amaya rolled her eyes.

She got her phone, sending quick texts to the callers.

To: Anna
"Hey! Willow and I are coming, and we'll just meet you there."

To: Alvaro
" We're fine, bubs. If you wanna come, I don't care, but it might be a little awkward in a room of pregnant women for you."

Alvaro, her brother, seemed so... interested in the baby. Like, he actually wanted to stop having one-night stands? Never, Amaya chuckled mentally, before turning her attention back to her fiance after she slipped in some tight-ish jeans, and a white v-neck shirt, and was adding some dangly earrings.

"You're coming with me, right?" Amaya turned towards Willow, looking at her curiously. "Yes, Amaya, I am." She giggled, imitating Willow, and then sitting on the edge of the bed, watching her before holding out her arms, as she was ready to go.

"C'mere cutie... God, you're so gorgeous.." Amaya smiled, her white teeth shiny, and her eyes just a little watery.

Richie looked around for about a minute more, before spotting his fiance. "Rosalia!" He smiled big, and went over to her, but then nearly stopped. How long was he away again? Over 5 months? Yeah.. that sounds about right... so..

He got Rosalia pregnant? His eyes grew wide at the sight of Rosalia... with a pregnant belly.

Richie hugged her oddly, and then took a step back still holding her hands. "You're pregnant... with me?" His face had be ice white, and he m bit his lower lip. "Darling, why didn't you tell me this sooner? I could've gotten a leave... I could have been here with you.." He felt horrible now. He'd missed the whole pregnancy pretty much... besides the birth.

Why didn't she tell me? All he seemed to think about was the baby. Was it alright? Was Rosalia alright? "We'll have to wait until after the baby to get married... and.. do you have stuff for the baby? " He rubbed his forehead slowly, and took a deep breath.

He may be in the Army, but that doesn't mean he's strong enough to be ready to be a father on impulse.

Blanking out, for only a second, he looked at her. She seemed so happy. Happy to be having the baby. The baby he didn't know about until a minute ago. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad... With Rosalia, they'd been through hell and back, just with him in the Army.

But, if he has a kid.. he'll want to spend time with it. And in order to do that, he has to have time, which means resigning from the Army. He'd been in for almost over 2 years coming up. His contract was for at least 4, if not 10. That'd be the first 8 years he'd miss things with the kid.

"Welcome To Parenthood..." He mentally sighed, and wondered how the heck he was going to do this.

Anna looked around and realized that maybe they weren't coming after all. It was the point of this class was meant to be for the people going to be there for the birth. Who knew if Amaya and Willow were planning on coming in for that. Now that Anna thought about it she hadn't been thinking at all about what their plan was for the birth. Maybe they should go out for coffee or dinner after the birthing class and discuss some of this stuff who knew really what the plan was. She was in her early third trimester so they only had what like two months tops left.

That wasn't long. She picked up her phone deciding to text Amaya and Willow again and see if they got the voicemail she left. When looking she had gotten one from Amaya and Willow already saying they were coming. Amaya and Willow were a cute couple, people always asked what side including her father what side she was on the gay situation if she believed in it or disliked it. Anna always believed that her father was always wondering if she was the one gay or something.

To be truthful Anna didn't really know all to well what to say. She felt bad in a way that Amaya and Willow could never really have a kid all by themselves. So thats why I guess Anna thought this was the best way to help. It seemed to Amaya that she was the one that wanted kids more then Willow but it was her opinion not a fact and she never jumped to conclusions so she said nothing about it.

Anna looked and noticed that Amaya and Willow were in their car and driving in the parking lot. Anna looked and got up and walked to them slowly. She felt like a watermelon she wondered if she looked the part too. She saw them get out of her car. She smiled and looked at them. "Hey Amaya and Willow how are you guys today?" It seemed like a long afternoon already.

He was already guiltily smoking another cigarette by the time Rachel's text came through. At a traffic light, he stopped long enough to glance at the text and smile to himself. Dinner would be nice, and they certainly needed stuff for the baby. At the next traffic light, he stopped to text her back.

"Sounds good!"

He attached a smiley face for good measure before sending the message on its way. As his Prius drove along, he rolled the window door in order to flick the butt of his cigarette out into the street. The driver in the car beside him shot him a dirty look, but Matt didn't even look up. He pulled in the parking lot just as he was wiggling a third cigarette out of the pack. Rachel's car was already there, and for a moment, he started to ease the cigarette back into the pack. He changed him mind, however, and once more pulled it out of the pack. They'd be in there for a while, and he certainly didn't want to have to leave in the middle of the class.

Matt put the unlit cigarette between his lips as he gathered up his bag which contained his laptop, a pile of ungraded vocabulary tests, and two notebooks with half-written books inside. Along the bottom of the bag were empty cigarette packs that had become lost within the bag and never recovered. He slung the bag over his shoulder as he got out of the car to walk toward Rachel, a smile plastered across his lips which nearly caused him to drop the cigarette.

He accepted the hug and pulled the cigarette out from between his lips to kiss her. "It was pretty good," he replied, kissing her once on the cheek before taking her hand. "Some traffic, but it wasn't as bad as the kind at rush hour." In his other hand, he held the cigarette, but now that Rachel was here, he couldn't smoke. Not around the baby. Instead, he tried to slip it into the front pocket of his bag before she noticed. Either way, his breath still smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. "How was your day?"

Besides he and his wife, Matthew could see three women in the parking lot, speaking to each other. Only one of them was noticeably pregnant, he observed. Silently, he prayed for another man to be there. Not that he disliked women, of course, he just needed to know he wasn't the only one going through this.

Rachel wearing an orange and white striped maxi dress was quite comfortable and she was quite glad she had decided to wear that on a day like this. She was wearing a white thin jacket over her arms but once she was inside she knew she would have to take it off once she got inside. Rachel looked at her husband and was happy that he hugged back. She listened as he spoke about his drive. She saw a ciggerate and wondered if he was ever going to quit. She could see it was getting worse and he was smoking more.

She understood that since they were pregnant it was a worrisome thing that they were going to be parents and it was something to be nervous about. She continued to look at him and listen as he spoke and out of the corner of her eye she saw the ciggerate go into his pocket. While they walked she noticed three women. In a minute she would totally introduce herself. She always wondered what would be happening through this baby class. And the fun it would bring. He had asked a question and realized she needed to reply.

"Yes it was pretty good. I made a few important phone calls had a meeting and then I took a nap I think I slept for an hour. I was a bit nervous I had missed it when I woke up. She breathed and smiled at him. "Rush hour can do that to you."

Alfie didn't have to wait long before he got a reply from his sister. He picked up his phone when it started vibrating and read the message she send him.

We're fine, bubs. If you wanna come, I don't care, but it might be a little awkward in a room of pregnant women for you.

Alfie thought of the idea of a room full of pregnant women and himself in the middle of it. Somehow it made him a bit nervous, maybe a guilty conscience over the amount of one night stands he had had in his life so far. Alfie was sure he wouldn't be the only male in the class, but still, if Ammy and Willow were sorted there was no reason for him to be there. After all it was more his job to spoil the baby than to spoil the mothers, or the surrogate mother for that matter. Alfie hadn't asked why they would use a surrogate, but afraid of an awkward conversation he had never pushed the subject. Ammy knew that if she had anything she wanted to talk about, she could always come to her brother.

He thought back to the blonde that he had woken up next to this morning. Just another one on the pile of mistakes in my life. Alfie always had been quite the fan of one night stands, until he had met Dianna. She literally changed his life, she made him want to be a better boyfriend, a better worker, a better brother and a better person overall. He never had anyone push him so much with what seemed so little effort. He never thought he ever would, but he had bought an engagement ring after almost a year of being together. He had to be careful sneaking around to keep it a secret. He even went to the jewellery shop with one of his friends who had the same ring size as Di. He remembered he was just waiting for the moment when she left.

Not a note, not a sign, not a message or even a text. He just came home late from work one day to find all her stuff removed from their apartment. It was actually his, but they had stayed there together for months, in pure happiness. At least I was... He had been confused about her leaving, shocked, and after a week of not seeing her he had broken down in tears for the first time in his adult life. That was the time he was so grateful to his sister. Their talks helped him through it. The only thing he did not follow her advise about was to look her up, or call her at least. His pride or his stubbornness would not allow it. It was she who had run out on him after all. He had stayed by the phone waiting for weeks, until at one moment he went to the bar to drown himself in sorrow and alcohol. He blacked out and the following morning he had woken up to a girl he did not recognize, very similar to his experience with the blonde girl this morning. He picked up where he left off before he met Di and started his one night stands business as usual. One difference, it made him realize what a sad case he was. It never had before, but his only long term relationship had shown him how life could be.

Deep in thought he heard his phone vibrating once more. Convinced it was a follow up message from his sister he grabbed it and looked at the name reflected in the screen and the picture in the background. He opened his drawer, looked at the box with the engagement ring inside of it and closed his drawer again. He stood up from his chair and paced around the office for a solid minute before he picked up his phone again. With shaking hands and not knowing what to expect he opened up the message.

Hey Alfie, Do you remember where I live? Come on over at 10 this morning. Please it is very important. Xoxo Di-

Alfie checked the time on his phone and realized it was 9.15 AM, one hour... He read the message over and over. It was so light and matter-of-fact like, he almost thought it must be from someone else. He got upset over how light it was. After a year of happiness and the sudden disappearance of her and her stuff this was not a satisfying message. No apologies, no 'I miss you', no 'I made a mistake leaving you', none of the things he had hoped to see. She must mean her own place, the apartment she still had when they were already living together in his. He had not even once driven by the address although he always suspected she would be there. He was afraid of running into her and hearing the reason why she left..., he still was. He must have done something wrong, otherwise why would she leave?

He decided it was time for an answer, an explanation, maybe a rekindling. Lord knows that's what he really wanted. Just to forget about the past three months and continue as if she had never left. He left his office and went to the parking lot where his motorcycle still stood from the previous day. He shouldn't ride while being this nervous, but he wasn't thinking straight. With minimum traffic he arrived not much later and parked in front of her building. For once in his life he was 5 minutes early and after taking a deep breath he knocked on her door.

"Well, first it was Anna wanting to know if we were still going to the birthing class or not." There was a slight pause as Ammy moved into the spacious bathroom with Willow, joining her in the ritual of brushing their teeth. "Then, Alvaro called, wanting to know if I needed anything."

Willow spit her mouthful of toothpaste out, grabbing a disposable paper cup to fill with water to wash her mouth out with. After all was said and done, she came out of the bathroom to see Amaya on her phone, apparently texting.

Glancing over at her, she made her way into the large walk-in closet that the two shared. Their home was something that they both had spent a lot of time searching for. They just had to find the perfect one, which was more than difficult at the time because they were both sure of what they wanted and would settle for nothing less than perfect. Willow had been adamant that they buy a house - she didn't want to live in some overpriced apartment that wouldn't gain any value or become an asset. She insisted on a home, and luckily they both found one that fit their needs. It was lucky too - she had received a bonus and raise at work due to receiving some awards, and the album she had worked on at the time went Platinum.

Together, they bought the house: 10325 Greendale Drive. It was pretty close to both Amaya's and Willow's jobs, centrally located between Bel Air and Beverly Hills in the lower Beverly Glen section of L.A., bordering Holmby Hills. The only thing Willow didn't really like about the place was that they were about 5 minutes away from the Playboy Mansion - that whole lifestyle wasn't really her thing. But she couldn't complain - they had bought a beautiful Tudorian style mansion together. They got it at a great price and rate, and it was everything both of them wanted. Willow's parents had chipped in some as well, and for that she could never truly thank them.

Willow had grown up in Bel Air, and her parents wanted her close by. They wouldn't settle for having their only daughter living in some small home in central L.A., in some neighborhood that they thought was "bad". Willow didn't push it, either. She and Amaya were getting the house of their dreams, and they couldn't be happier.

Willow had changed into a light and fluttery dress, comfortable and yet warm. She added a cardigan to her ensemble, slipped on a pair of flats, some simple diamond earrings and a small pearl necklace. Then she donned a large hat with sunglasses. The fall sun was getting to the point where it would get in her eyes at the wrong angle, and she disliked the feeling of squinting.

Twisting her engagement ring around her finger once for good luck, she stepped out of the closet just in time to hear Amaya ask her a question.

"You're coming with me, right?" The dark-haired beauty turned around to look at Willow, a questioning look in her eyes. Willow offered her a smile, happy to be spending one of her days off with her fiance. She answered back with a yes, and made her way over to Amaya's open arms.

"C'mere cutie... God, you're so gorgeous..." Willow took a seat next to her on the bed, embracing the girl who had stolen her heard, before lacing their fingers together.

"C'mon," she began, standing up and pulling Amaya up in the process. "We're supposed to be getting to that birthing class, right? We can't keep Anna waiting."

Willow and Amaya had eventually made their way to the garage, and Willow had opted to drive. Amaya hadn't disagreed either way, so they got into one of Willow's cars, and made their way to the location of the birthing class. Pulling into the parking lot of the building, Willow glanced around, found a parking spot, and pulled the car in. She turned to Amaya and offered her a smile, before getting out of the Cadillac.

Shutting the door to her car, she turned to see Anna walking towards them. Well... it was more like waddling, almost. Willow couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the girl. Having to deal with all the stress of pregnancy, and it wasn't even her kid...

The thought flew quickly from her mind though, as Anna greeted them. "Hey Amaya and Willow, how are you guys today?"

Willow answered her back, fixing her sun hat as she did so. "Oh, I'm pretty good. How are you feeling?" She gestured for Amaya to follow, and began to walk towards the entrance to the building. "We should probably head in and get you a spot, Anna..." She glanced over at the girl and offered a small smile of her own.

"Rosalia!"

There was that familiar voice, that sound that she knew so well. Rosie could practically see his smile beaming across the room at her from where she stood. Her heart beat quickened, and she raised her hand up to wave at him. He already knew where she was, so she didn't know why she even bothered - he saw her. But she was too excited - her Richie was home! She almost forgot she was pregnant in that moment.

He approached her quickly, his smile big. But as he neared her his eyes fell to her stomach, and they instantly grew. She could almost see the cogs turning in his head, before he looked up at her face again. He stepped in, hugging her, no words yet leaving his lips. The hug felt sort of strange - Rosalia felt it was partly from being away from him for so long, but at the same time she could sense the carefulness he was holding her with. It would be impossible for him not to feel the bump that was separating them.

He took a step away from her then, her hands in his. "You're pregnant... with me?"

His face had gone all white, and he bit his lip. Rosalia instantly felt the regret that she had been bottling up emerge on her face. 'I knew he was going to react badly...' she thought, glancing up at him from her smaller height.

His voice rang out once more, and to her it seemed as if his was the only one in the room, even though they stood in the middle of a crowded airport. "Darling, why didn't you tell me this sooner? I could've gotten a leave... I could have been here with you.."

She looked up at him again, her eyebrows slightly furrowed. "I couldn't bring myself to tell you such important news over the phone... or in a letter." Her eyes fell down to her stomach, before she spoke again. "I didn't want you to worry."

"We'll have to wait until after the baby to get married... and.. do you have stuff for the baby?"

Her eyes met his again, and she smiled slightly. "Well, I did some shopping. Just basic things... But, I wanted to save the important stuff for... for when you came home." Her eyes began to water up at the realization that here he was! He was home! He was home and he was all in one piece, all his limbs, everything. He was here, holding her hands and breathing, alive. He was okay, and he was home.

A few tears slipped out, as her happy smile returned to her face. She couldn't help herself, and she pulled herself into his arms, wrapping her own strongly around his middle. She was careful of the baby, careful of this perfect little person that was her and his and theirs. Careful of this person who she would bring into the world.

"I missed you so much..." Her words were muffled by his uniform, one hand clinging tightly to his front and the other still wrapped firmly around his waist.

There were so many things to think about, so many things that needed to be discussed. She hadn't found out the gender of the child yet - that, she wanted to save for when Richie had gotten home. She hadn't told her parents yet, and she had no idea how she was going to break it to them. She had done a bit of shopping for the baby, but they still had so much they had to gather. There was a million and one things to do, but all she cared about right now was that her Richie was home.

Amaya didn't put up a fight when her fiance insisted on driving. She felt really sick, anyway. God, here we go again. She hoped she didn't release her guts on Anna today. Not only would it be embarrassing, but, it'd probably make her think poorly of her.

"Hey Amaya and Willow, how are you guys today?"

"Hey, I could be better, but here we are." After she heard Willow's comments, she nodded. "We do probably need to get you in there... Looks like there's a couple over there." Amaya tried her best to smile, but she could feel the color drain out of her face. God, not again. Amaya focused on Anna's stomach.

Poor girl, she probably has to pee at least 10 times a day, if not more. She sighed, and just laced her fingers with Willow's, leaning her head on her shoulder. They seemed like a cute couple, Willow in her hat and dress, with Amaya in a button-down, and dark jeans.

She smiled as she felt Willow's engagement ring, and looked at her own, pretty much identical to hers. Amaya noticed a couple, nice-looking, expecting as well. She waved a small wave after picking her head up. Might as well start getting friendly with other moms..

"Well, I did some shopping. Just basic things... But, I wanted to save the important stuff for... for when you came home."

Richie embraced her hug, one hand plastered on his jacket, and the other around his back. He was just glad that he was still alive and well to feel this. He wouldn't be able to live if he couldn't hug on his fiance.

"I missed you so much..."

Richie bit his lip to keep from just bawling right there. Rosalia was so sweet, and now he knew exactly what he wanted in life. This next year he had off from the military, would be spent spoiling her and their child. He couldn't wait to meet them.

As she hugged him, his eyes grew watery, and he let a tear slip, seeing hers. He bent his head down, and kissed her head, then brought her head up to look at him. "I missed you too.. and I'll never stop loving you.. and now, this baby." He half-smiled, before wiping his eyes, and smiling.

"Well, did you have something planned for today? Or what are we doing? Baby shopping, wedding shopping, any of the above?" He chuckled, and kissed her nose, and cheeks, not letting his hands let go of her.

Anna looked at Willow and Amaya and smiled. She was getting huge and glanced as people walked by. She was quite okay with life. Even though she wondered if it was wise to be giving birth to a child that was not hers she wondered many things. She didn't question Willow and Amaya that they would be bad parents she just questioned other things. Like if they could do it. The whole parenting thing, like feeding it all the time and so on. Its just in this day and age their were so many things that could go wrong not only with trying to raise the kid but with the labor also. She had thought about this long and hard and wondered if this was really what she wanted.

She watched as a couple passed by them. A woman that was fairly into her pregnancy also and her husband who was hiding a cigarette. She watched and listened at to what Amaya said. "Yeah sounds good to me." She walked towards the door. And opened it for the ladies that were in her party. They were a full on huge parenting team. It always seemed to Anna that Amya was the person wanting the baby. She walked in herself after the others and noticed that the room was very lovely.

The room was a bright color and had children and pregnant women drawn on the wall. It was so lovely their were a few other couples around she sat down and looked around to see where Amaya and Willow was. She watched all around her it was funny to see it all. It was a lot to take in. She couldn't believe this was where she was in her life.

He had tried for so long to quit that sometimes it simply seemed futile. In fact, often he felt it simply wasn’t worth fighting the addiction. Then, of course, he remembered the life growing in Rachel, and he was once again inspired. God knew how long said inspiration would last. The presence of the cigarette in his pocket and the craving for it was already nagging at him.

Still, he tried to pay attention to Rachel, and hell, he was doing a pretty decent job, too. Other men might have cracked, but he still hung in there...more or less. He had taught himself to try to pay less mind to the technicalities in things, for doing so would most certainly drive him insane. As she replied, he gave a smile first to himself and then to her as he turned his head her way. Matt remembered the one and only time he had tried to take a nap. It was during a prep period, and he had managed to sleep into the next period. Long story short, he didn't nap on the job anymore. For a moment, he wondered how much worse his sleeplessness could get. Already, he had taken to getting up every other night or so to smoke outside. He never smoked indoors, or at least he didn't now.

He had little time left to worry about that, though, for then they came upon the other couple. He offered a smile and a quick wave. "Hi," he greeted, holding out a hand then to shake. "I'm Matt. This is Rachel. My wife." The two he addressed first now seemed to be a couple, for they held hands as he did with Rachel. The other girl had entered the building, and she was the only of the three who looked remotely pregnant.

Once the other two made their introductions, Matthew started into the building, holding the door for the other two and Rachel though he continued to hold her hand. "So, er, what do people usually do at these things?" he asked, choosing two empty seats and sitting in one. He certainly loved spending time with Rachel, but as he grew older, he seemed to grow more nervous around others or at least more anti-social. Most people tended to judge his habit, and others were simply undesirable to keep as friends. Frankly, he didn't really need that burden either.

Rachel looked at her husband. She loved him with all her soul, but she worried for him. She knew the risks to smoking and to being around second-hand smoke. She thought of their kid. She worried for both of them. She didn't know how much longer she could take of this.

She listened and watched her surroundings alot and she found herself doing it now again. She looked and saw couple of women three clustered. They were speaking and talking about something, only one woman was pregnant she looked young. Whatever the case Matthew introduced them to the females. She was oddly happy and surprised by this gesture he did.

"What he said." She said chuckling. She continued to hold his hand feeling the texture of his fingers wrapped around hers. She knew the stress that this kid was putting on him and hoped it would stop soon. She smiled at him. And watched as he opened the door and let the women walk in then letting herself walk in.

She sat down on a chair next to Matthew and smiled. And listened to his question out came a small giggle and then replied to his question. "Well Matthew this is preparing us for the birth and the baby stage of the kid." She was oroud of herself that she had read all those pregnancy books when she had some spare time in between meetings.

Amaya chuckled at her fiance's behavior, and took her hand in her own. "I think we just practice positions with Anna, which I'll do." She winked, and squeezed Willow's hand lovingly.

As if on que, a rather lanky woman appeared out of a small office in the corner. "Good morning, Mommies & Daddies! I see most of you are here already, so if you will, lay out a mat and sit with your partner!" She laid out one mat for herself, and was prepping herself for the start of class.

"Well, I was planning on stopping into a few shops today. Maybe making a registry. There's this cute little place in the city that sells specialty items and also offers birthing classes. I was thinking about stopping in and signing up for a few... Wanna go? I've got the car outside, I'm sure you're ready to be back on American soil... I know I'm glad you're back."

Richie smiled as his hands were placed on her stomach, and he didn't feel the baby. He was starting to feel slightly worried, but started to calm himself down, and kissed her cheeks.

"Already so much like their mother, hmm?" He chuckled, and held her hands in his. "Yes, I've been dying to get back to home. To you, and.. our child now." He smiled, wrapping his arm behind her as they walked towards the exit. "It's been too long since i've been home." He swallowed, smiling still, not thinking it was physically possible to wipe the grin off of his face.

Why wouldn't he be happy? He was home, alive, with all his limbs, and he was getting married to the love of his life who, currently, was carrying his child.

Anna looked at Willow and Amaya. "So you're going to be the sort of coach or Willow?" She looked at Amaya and smiled. Both of them were beautiful and the situation was awkward she didn't want to leave Amaya or Willow out. She grabbed a mat and sat down on it and looked at Rachel and her husband Matthew as they introduced themselves.

She sat down putting her hands first to help her down since she was getting bigger. She looked at Amaya and Willow. "How about in the beginning Amaya and then Willow just to make sure. In case one of you can't make it at the birth. But I see that being impossible." She looked at them with a questioning look.

Rachel smiled at her husband. "It looks like we are starting. You ready?" She looked at the instructor and watched as she spoke about mats. She grabbed a mat from the mat section and laid it out. She then sat down and smiled at Matthew then looked at the instructor.
