Seems like a fun RP are nanobots a thing? Cause we currently in rl aren't to far from those

Ah, Asimov's Frankenstein complex. It seems we both have a common love for robots, huh? Obviously the humans in this story don't. So, you got a premise for a story, but I'm not quite understanding, well, what's the story precisely? As in, you got an event occurring at a grand scale, but what is the role of the individual characters that we will be roleplaying? How will they effect the story? And seeing as you're giving us the option to play as both men and machines, how are they going to interact, in relation to the events of the story?

Basically, what sort of plot do you have in mind where the characters will have an effect on the world around them? That may help us get the idea of what sorts of characters we should make.

Too bad no one would have interest for a roleplay about philosophy of artificial intelligences. I made it easier and though of an alternative "apocalypse".

The event is the story. It is about the interaction of several personalities experiencing this moment. You could be a human in a workcamp and another person is an overseer or you could be a cyborg who says goodbye to his or her human friends and wonders how they would live afterwards. Or a human feeling distrust in the machines thinking that as soon as the ships are in space they would be shot down. There are various possibilities.

Or we can agree on a plot where all our characters interacted.

This seems like a interesting RP, but there is one thing that bugs me.

You would think a machine revolution would be put down in a few minutes if we just used an EMP.

Not necessarily because EMP weapons aren't that common. So even if one place would avert the revolution, it will sometime come to them.
