Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

0 INK

As the world came to an end in a sea of flames caused by a pillar of light connected to the heavens, a group of people find themselves sent back in time one year, given special powers, to solve the mystery of the end of the world.

1,513 readers have visited Chaos Legend: A Year to the End since Azure Limit created it.

Introduction

This world has existed for such a long, long time. In this world, civilizations have been formed, and great empires have risen and have fallen, in a quick blink in comparison to the flow of time. However, humans are resilient creatures, and threw nature disasters, disease, and through wars with themselves, they have continued to thrive as a species. However, nothing can last forever....

October 13, 2015. The day the world Ended.

There was nothing that could be done. A pillar of crimson light extended into the sky, and with that the world collapsed in a sea of flame. Yet, this was not the desired ending of the world. A powerful individual, known only as Lucy, used her power to call forth a certain group of individuals, humans she believed would be able to stop the end of the world. Using the remainder of her power, she sent them back into time one year, giving each one special powers, the powers of demons.

"Uncover the mysteries of the Black Emissaries, and you uncover the key to stop the End. Work hard, or you will all die, again. Don't disappoint me now."

With those words the group disappeared in a flash of light, waking up in the city of Terropolis, a newly created city built on the artificial island of Sovereign, located in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean. This city, in one years time, will become the epicenter of the end of the world. Each of the group wake up alone, with the only things on them are the close on their backs, a single debit card in their pocket, and note telling them that the card will give them access to an endless supply of money to assist them in their mission. With these things, and their demonic powers granted to them by Lucy, they must seek each other out, and together solve the mystery of the Black Emissaries, to prevent the end of all existence.

This RP is a combination of you normal shonen battle story, and deep mystery and investigation as the main group tries to solve the mysteries that lead to the end of the world. If anyone has ever played a Persona game, then you should be familiar with the formula of how things should play out. People can choose to play as one of Lucy's group, or a member of the Black Emissaries.

Jacqli remained rather still, her body limp. Her very soul was either going to sever itself once more to make room for the new entity; or it would destroy its mortal host. The teenager still felt like something was tearing her apart from the inside out, and she herself just didn’t understand why, all she knew was that the pain was persistent. She wanted to move, to get back into the fight and make use of her powers, what she had been granted!

But, something happened that she was quite not expecting, in only a few seconds the pain she felt in her body came to a peak, causing her to seethe, and then ceased altogether as the uninvited demon left her soul behind and returned to his proper host in whole. Jacqli almost felt like jelly, without that pain hindering her body; she was almost afraid to move. Her mind was utterly devoid of thought, of anything. She just didn’t know what to say, what to do or think.

She took in a rather deep inhale though, shut her eyes and focused. The battle was still going on, and no matter what she was told, Jacqli was going to do something to stop all of the fighting for the time being! I will not continue to be a hindrance! she swore to herself. Jacqli knew what it was she needed to do; she needed the Siren’s cooperation, they needed each other, they had to work together to end this stupid battle! Even if the whole ordeal with the Black Emissaries was far from over after this one fight, she wanted peace to return to Terropolis for a time.

There was enough violence for one day, wasn’t there? β€œThis has to end. . . .” she said softly, β€œSiren, I need you.”

β™«β™«β™«β™«β™«

The Siren watched with a melancholy expression as she was left to her own devices, in her re-imagined sanctuary and tomb, in her half of Jacqli’s soul. . . . Ghirahim was a part of this whole mess; though she was far from surprised to learn this truth. The jester always had a sick taste for chaos and destruction, caring not for those around him and only of himself and his own personal pleasure. He had always sickened her, and he still did. . . . Yet, some millennia had passed since their last encounter which ended with her demise. It had ended with her losing all claims to the physical plane and nearly ceasing in existing altogether. A wandering spirit with no body that refuses to ascend eventually ceases to be. . . .

Her very existence, the fact that she remained in any form now had to do with the fact that she had been attached to a soul for almost always since her physical passing. At times it was a mortal soul, and other times it was not. . . . The Siren had Lucy to thank for her continued persistence, she provided the magic to bind her to another’s soul. Here she was now; attached to a mortal’s soul for the umpteenth time.

The human soul was a truly remarkable thing indeed; full of so much energy, sentiment, memories and power. But because humanity had grown to be a species based on knowledge, believing in only what they could explain away with their own two eyes, they had forgotten how to tap into that extraordinary strength. Some though, there still existed some people within the world that were more than able to use that great power, if only they knew how to. . . . Souls are simply incredible things, able to grant movement and life to something that would otherwise be little more than a breathing doll.

And, the mortal soul was capable of severing itself, tearing itself apart in order to house a second identity within the body it possessed. . . . The songstress that existed within Jacqli Labelle’s body now had caused the teenager’s soul to do just that; to be forced into two pieces. One part reserved for the human, the other for the demon. Ironic in a way that Jacqli herself had become someone who was being leeched off of, when she had considered herself no better. Her body was fragile, as was her soul, but her will was strong, mighty, and capable of coping with losing part of her spirit to another for a time.

The she demon Siren, after being without her body for so very long, she had to siphon energy away from a host in order to maintain herself. Jacqli shared her existence with the Songstress, and maintained her now. Without Jacqli, the Siren would fade away.

The ancient she demon could only laugh at the thought of it all; once she had been so powerful, yet now she was reduced to . . . this scrap of existence, being a spiritual leech. Sighing softly though, she seated herself where she had been standing. All she could do now was wait until the time came for her to once more be called out into battle. Ghirahim would meet his end in this war; he would not take the life of Jacqli or the one hosting Leinart.

Jacqli had much to offer the mortal world; the Siren knew everything about her host. . . . Everything about her. She’d perused her memories, her consciousness and everything that made the mortal girl, her. She wanted to save the world, and find a use for herself. Simply that. The Siren saw her as a noble heart underneath all of her darkness. . . .

”Siren, I need you.” Jacqli’s voice cut through the silence, and the loneliness of the Songstress’ realm. Quietly, a snide grin formed on the demoness’ ashen lips, Jacqli needed to say no more. She knew what it was her host desired; to end the battling for the day and to bring about harmony. One thing her host already understood was that the key to winning any battle from this point on was the equal cooperation between demon and mortal.

Lucy had bonded them together for a reason after all; each life form lacked something the other had; strength to goodwill, kindness to apathy. . . . It varied from host to host of course.

β€œNon magis quam proferre verbum Jacqli, unum scio quid cupias hospes.” She informed the teenager, ascending to her feet. β€œNumquid. . . hac pugna nequiquam finem restituo harmonia ad urbem hodie superest?”

β™ͺβ™ͺβ™ͺβ™ͺβ™ͺ

Jacqli’s eyes opened wide upon hearing her alter’s voice echo within the confines of her mind, she sat up straight a look of sheer determination upon her face. Her body felt drained, sore and rather pathetic. But, she could move, she could move and she had the Siren on her side. β€œYes, Siren, please, help me put an end to this. . . . I think there has been enough fighting for one day.”

”Lorem ipsum mei omnes vires, quibus usus sapientiae. Sciant adsum exercitus nostros cantabimus canticum eius simul.”

β€œThank you Songstress,” she said softly, a soft smile formed on Jacqli’s face. A true smile. The teenager didn’t know the last time she had given a true smile to the world, but having someone inside of her; demonic alter or not, the Songstress was something who understood her.

”Populus meus, nos in proelio sunt aequales. Ut pares iure, ut credo me ipsum per nomen. Vocabar, β€˜Calliope.’” Jacqli’s amber eyes widened at her demon’s reveal of a name.

With a nod and a swallow, β€œVery well Calliope. I will address you as you wish me to.” Jacqli turned to the man who had helped her out before she left to fight again, β€œThank you for the assistance, but I’m not out of the game yet.” She said with a bit of a grin before she got up and out of the makeshift shelter and was off again.

----

β€œYou need not utter a single more word Jacqli, I know what it is you desire my host.”
β€œShall we . . . put an end to this fruitless struggle and restore harmony to the city for remainder of this day?”
” You have all of my support, all of my strength, use these with wisdom. Know I am here, host, we will sing our songs together.”
β€œMy host, we are equal beings in this battle. As equals, I believe you have the right to address me by a name. I was called 'Calliope.'”

The entire time she lay there, totally disabled from his Demon entering her to speak with her Demon...he couldn't help but feel...sorry...for the girl...she had to completely rely on others to save herself. She was strong willed and as stubborn as a mule, but she was courageous...like she was pulled out of one of those damn video games or movies that, against all odds they...they always survived and never gave up. A thing he should learn one of these days...Leon was always one to leave somebody else in the dust so he could live...just a few seconds more...

He pushed some hair that was stuck on her face back to join up with the rest of her hair and relaxed, feeling his own demon join him again. A shiver along his spine signaled it. Her eyes shot awake and she tried to move. The way she was grinning, she was just fine and had come to terms with herself. He nodded and got out with her, making a mental note on where this shelter was, just in case. He followed right behind her, not going to leave this one.

"Why helloooo Riku. Watching me from afar again?"

Riku lifted Ghirahim's arm from his shoulder and let it drop. Putting on an exaggerated look of disgust, as if he had just picked up something appalling, like a dead squirrel or bird, off of his shoulder. Then he straightened up and addressed the man.
"Good day to you to M'Lord..." Riku drawled in a silky, mocking tone, topped off with a faux bow towards the brightly dressed man, "Would I be doing aaa~nything else? I mean, stalking you is the way I usually spend my time."

"Just tell me I don't have to be friends with that guy. He gives me the creeps."

Riku whispered aside to the man, leaning in towards him, with his hand covering the side of his mouth facing Giraham, "Kiddo, I don't think even I would force a fate as horrible as that upon someone..."
With that, the re-erected himself, to address Ghirahim again, but was interrupted by another newcomer.

"Man, you two are still here? You guys really suck at this. I mean, damn, I could of had these brats taken out in like five minutes, yet here you are, leaving it to the stupid beast." She laughed as she flashed he golden eyes. "Do you want me to go down there and show you how it's done?"

Riku closed his mouth, and applied his palm directly to his forehead.
"Of all times to show up..." Riku started, but then stopped and revised what he was going to say, "No, I shouldn't even say that, I mean it is you two, you could only turn up at the worst possible times..."
Riku lowered his hand from his face, and strode towards the edge of the building, before whirling around, continuing backwards at a slower pace. He raised his hands to his side in a sort of shrug, "Look, I was in the middle of something here, but it seems there's no point in continuing now since you've arrived... Before I leave I just want to ask of you one thing... Please don't kill them all, if your going to kill any of them, I say the dick in the fancy dress who ran off, or the ninja guy, leave the siren, I want her form myself."
He suddenly stopped, the edge of his heel half off the roof, and pointed at the member of Lucy's group and said, "Try to keep it together boyo... I mean your body, It really hurts to be torn limb from limb, and you seem like an nice kid, I'd like to talk again sometime..."
He looked at his comrades again, "Leave the majority alive, hear me?"

Look who's talking, mighty killer! OoOoOoOoO!! The orders were to keep them ALL alive, only beat them within an INCH of death. At least TRY to be sporting, riku

With a scoff, he went to the roof's edge and fell off. He neared the ground for a spectacular splatter when he warped and appeared upright. He started off for a random part of the group, not fully aware of what he was doing, attempting to act like an idiot to throw off their defense. He fell flat on his face at one point.

______

Leon placed his hand over his heart again and activated the failsafe, transforming his body back into Leinart. He stood next to Jacqli, nearly twice her height and twice her width. He was like a stone guardian of a temple, never moving an inch unless there is an intruder. Ghirahim was oblivious to his old foe at the moment.

Markus struggled against the pull of gravity, in his weakened state finding it difficult. With a cry he managed to force himself to his feet, and though he couldn't feel it he knew he had snapped a tendon in his left leg. "You... Little..." He managed to grind out, before collapsing again, this time due to a powerful blow to his unguarded flank, followed by a strike to the back of his head. He was out without even seeing his attacker. As he fell, his body began to deflate like a punctured balloon, returning to the original size of his human vessel. leaving a naked body lying in the middle of the street.

----------

Riku shook his head and smiled. "I never was good at sports..." He muttered before leaning backwards, and dropping off the side of the building after Ghirahim, and in a similar fashion, disappearing before hitting the ground. If one were to have some sort of power to view Riku traveling through time-space, disregarding the absence of moving light, you'd have seen him moving in the direction of Markus, coming to a stop a meter away from the hulking Brute, then after a moments contemplation, kicking the beast in the notch behind his knee lightly. Now lightly is all relative to the plane of time you are operating on, to Riku it was light, but to Markus, it was really one hell of a kick. Entering back into real-time Riku could feel his the appearance of multiple fractures in the foot he kicked Markus with.
'Damn, just a touch too hard...' He thought, as he caught the falling giant's head with an uppercut. Markus returned to his normal state, and Riku changed his focus to the demon hovering above them.
"Sorry about that mate, things are getting out of hand. I'm giving you a handicap here, me and Bane over here are out of the fight, leaving it as an apparently two-versus-six fight, very nice of me right? But don't get too comfortable, the two you're going up against are a lot smarter than muscle freak here..." Riku waved his hand in the direction of Markus, "And with that, our gallant hero exits stage-left."
Riku strolled over to Markus, feeling the effects of the gravitational singularity created by the demon overhead, but not showing any signs of slowing. He bent over, and hefted the nude body of Markus up onto his shoulder. With is free hand he gave the fancy dress demon a little salute, before disappearing, leaving only a little cloud of dust around where his feet had been.

Riku reached the Black Emissionaries' base, appearing slightly flushed and a little short on breath. He dropped Markus and loosened his tie, before setting off yelling at the top of his lungs, "Niel! Markus is down! Get someone to patch him up!"
He didn't wait for a response, instead he limped back to his quarters for a little rest.

Jacqli slid to a halt as she found herself back out on the battlefield. To put it rather bluntly, it looked like everything had gone to Hell while she’d been out of commission. . . . The entire area was utterly devastated, any buildings that might have once stood in the city block were no more. The teenager blinked, as her eyes were wide from the shock of finding such a scene.

She knew things were not good . . . but to find this. . . . The Black Emissaries were toying with them today! Weren’t they? Those damn monkeys were just messing with them.Damn it! That’s what all of this has been about today! They’re just putting us through the wringer to see what we can do! Jacqli inwardly hissed at this. All of this chaos, all of this destruction; and for what? Just to prove a point? Just so they could see what the newbie heroes were capable of in regards to their first day on duty? Was that really it?

β€œBastards. . . .” she swore under her breath, clenching her fists at her sides. Jacqli could feel her heart pounding inside her chest, hard and fast. The pulsing filled her ears, and she could hear little else as she felt herself becoming rather . . . irate. The sheer disregard for life, for the people who inhabited the city; it made her utterly sick! These . . . people, if you could even call them that, had started this whole brouhaha today just to play around. These asinine lackeys are going to pay for this. . . .

β€œTranquilla esto populus, sic verum est quod non fuit de innocentibus hodie Legati autem nostri coetus stat, quod probe nostis fines nostros.” The Siren’s voice breeched the bounds of Jacqli’s heart, her tone collected, calm. Jacqli seethed hearing her alter’s reminder.

Jacqli was angry, very angry at the moment, and it was very hard for her to contain all of this lividness to within her heart. Yet inside of her, Jacqli could feel Calliope at work, soothing her frazzled patience and easing her rage. She took in a breath, and loosened up her tight fists, following her she demon’s advice. The teenager didn’t want to admit it, but she knew that as things stood, there was no way that herself and the others of Lucy’s group could stand against the Emissaries today, and win. . . . There was just no way. I know you’re right, I apologize for losing my temper Calliope, I just can’t help but getting upset seeing all of this Hell in front of me.

”Non mihi placent, nec tamen oportet quod toleret. Sors nobis faucibus potius temeritate, ne possit sapor ultimus triumphum possumus saltem usque ad diem pugnae.” Jacqli looked up as the Songstress spoke to her, she pushed her glasses up her nose again; part of her mind going a little off topic being surprised the spectacles had managed to stay on her face during all of this. β€œDebilitat vires sufficiunt, ut fugeret.”

β€œLooks like two of them already have left. . . .” Jacqli murmured quietly, observing the one who had called himself Riku dragging off the man who had reformed from the destructive beast that she had managed to strike a blow against earlier, yet she wasn’t a fool. The teenager could very distinctly make out the presence of two more . . . demons, Calliope’s own self was resonating with their existences. Through her demonic alter, Jacqli knew that these people were no allies; they were evil. . . .

There was something to them, something that was far more sinister than Riku or the hulking demon. Jacqli herself didn’t quite know what this was, or what it meant, but the brunette understood very well that it was not a good thing. Though the Siren herself lacked a comment, the feelings that emanated from the demonic alter were enough to convince Jacqli of the danger they presented to the ragtag group of new heroes. β€œWell . . . Calliope I believe it is time for the two of us to do what it we do best; to sing.”

There was a single laugh that echoed out from deep within the confines of Jacqli’s mind, ”Faciamus hoc, quod lassitudo continenti impetu.” At her words, Jacqli felt a surge course through her thing frame; power flowed from her core, the Siren giving the mortal access to her own abilities. ”Ut enim ad intellectum canticum artem, sic et dabit tibi eam plene utilitas sit amet.”

Her amber eyes a little wide, her body tingling with the sudden onset of strength, Jacqli nodded, β€œY-Yes Songstress.” Though she felt doubts in her heart, Jacqli knew she had to continue on with this; she had to use the might granted to her by Calliope to help end this battle. Overhead; the sun had set and the skies were growing darker as stars began to fill up the dark canvas of the sky, the moon rising. Clasping her hands over her heart, Jacqli shut her eyes as she took in a hesitant breath; calming herself and focusing on what it was she wanted to accomplish now, with the Siren’s powers.

A soft hum rose from Jacqli’s throat before she began to sing, β€œPer lumen spei, quo iam diu expectatum. . . . Suscitat et cor tuum turbabuntur. Ad nostram matrem terram pretiosum, gratias ago et amoris canticum, ostendens virtutem nostram vitam vivere summum.” Her voice was very yielding, quiet, and gentle. She could feel it flowing through her; her emotions. Unlike before, where forcing her sentiments to take on a form of power had been painful, this time, Jacqli was at ease, content, and experiencing only the feelings she herself were pouring into this spell along with the Songstress. There was no hint of anger or rage in her voice, or in her words, only a strange sort of kindness, serenity, and the melody seemed to pacify the soul.

”Sit laus animae resonant! Et placet, et hoc audite vocem meam. . . .” As Jacqli continued the song; something akin to an aurora began to form over head. ”Sit laus matris obturarent et tristitia.” Then, streaks of light began to fall from overhead; varying in color. No matter what the light hit, no damage was done; yet there was a rather clear effect, and Jacqli could feel it herself. Inside of her, Calliope was slowly falling into a state of sealing, a time of sleep; her own song was one that would for a short time quell the powers of those who possessed a demon . . . and end the fighting.

”Ut contremiscant caeli et cor, ubi ponunt spem nisi in armis fragmenta. . . . Voce mea dabo serenitatem mundo.” Slowly, the teenager raised her arms above her head, looking to the aurora as she finished; ”Non satis est pugna in unum diem? Voce mea ad dux vester omnes domum, incidunt in somno pacis, et quasi somnio bello memorem. . . .” And with that last line, deep inside of her severed soul, Jacqli felt Calliope herself drift off into a state of slumber. The aurora overhead twinkled as it continued to let down a shower of luminance upon the area.

The youth herself was tired, without the Siren’s power coursing through her body, she felt the full effects of the day upon her physical, and mental state. In every sense of the word; she was drained. Jacqli watched the light rain down from above; it was beauteous. Truly a sight to behold. She looked away from it though with a sigh, her body felt like gelatin, and unable to maintain herself against gravity, Jacqli dropped to the cracked pavement and sat there, motionless as the aurora continued to shine in the night skies above.

----

β€œCalm yourself host, it is true that there has been no regard for the innocent today by the Envoys, but as our group stands, you know full well our limits.”
β€œIt does not please me either, yet we must endure. The lot of us, this rather haphazard grouping, we may not be able to taste ultimate triumph, but we can at least end the fighting for the day.”
β€œWeaken their forces enough so that they flee.”
β€œLet us do this, I grow weary of this incessant violence.”
β€œYou have an understanding of how to craft a song, so use it and I will provide you with the guidance to fully utilize it.”
” Through the light of hope, the moment that has long been awaited. . . . Your heart is shaken and awakens. To our precious mother earth, I give a song of gratitude and love, showing our strength to live life to the brim.”
β€œLet the song of my soul, resound!! And please, listen to this voice of mine. . . . β€œ
β€œLet's praise our mother, and stop the sadness.”
β€œThe heart and sky tremble as one, people hold only fragments of hope in their arms. . . . With my voice I will grant this world serenity.”
β€œHasn't there been enough fighting for one day? With my voice as your guide, let us all return home, fall into a peaceful slumber and forget this conflict as you dream. . . .”

Ghirahim sat on the sidelines for a bit, listening to the joyous songs of battle and death and blood was making him all giddy and warm inside. But then a magnificent light shot into the air accompanied by a siren's song. "AGH, ITS LIKE RAPE TO MY BEAUTIFUL EARS" he thought as he grabbed his head on both sides and throttled and squirmed about trying to get that DAMN song out of his head.

When it ended and the lights cascaded onto the streets below. He stood and glared right toward the source. A single girl, exhausted beyond her powers. His face contorted in an extreme anger and shook from the sheer rage that overtook his body. He snapped his fingers and his dual sabres appeared in each hand. He disappeared in a flash and rushed at the girl, using her exhausted state to KILL her where she sat. He appeared above her and slammed down onto her, but he was met by a solid steel wall.

Before he could look, he was knocked aside and down like he was a simple doll to be cast away by a bored child. He slammed onto the ground and dropped both his sabres. In front of him now, his blade in the ground, standing directly in front of Jacqli, was her savior.

You...

With a roar of mighty rage, he warped and used the speed to phase into an attack with Leinart, they collided with a mighty crash and a shockwave caused by Ghirahim's earth rocking attack sent out a wave of silence into the battle field. Ghirahim was knocked back again as the pale warrior flipped his blade in a counter-clockwise fashion and furrowed his brow while he pointed the blade at him, grasping it in a higher-raised stance.

"Non mihi nocebit PROVOCATIO Oscen te reginae NEQUIOR monstrum Ghirahim. Venite ad me iam piece of foedus striga nolueritis et me ad finem amet herba.."

(Cue Lord Ghirahim's Battle Theme)

He disappeared from view and his fist reappeared in front of Ghirahim's face. Slamming into him like a ton of concrete and knocking Ghirahim into the air. He tried to steady himself, but Leinart appeared above him and brought his blade down with incredible force into Ghirahim's abdomen, shooting him down into the ground and creating a crater. Ghirahim flipped backward out of the crater and snapped his fingers. An orange and black diamond pattern wall appeared around them, encompassing both Jacqli, himself and Leinart so nobody would disturb him during the fight. A few buildings were included in the ring as well.

Ghirahim removed his now tattered cape and showed his leotard that showed a wee bit too much skin. He snapped his fingers again and only one sabre appeared. He got into a fencer's position when Leinart came crashing down in the same crater and rushed at Ghirahim.

He brought his blade down on Ghirahim's. He blocked it horizontally and was pushed back a little before a secondary blade popped out of Leinart's right arm, which was closest to Ghirahim when they got into the deadlock, and pierced Ghirahim's arm. He cried out and backed up. He summoned several Diamond daggers and launched them at Leinart, who jumped out of the way and narrowly dodged them. He ran around and full on tackled Ghirahim and forced him into one of the brick buildings. A few moments later, Leinart came flying out due to Ghirahim using a roundhouse kick on him.

Leinart flew in the air and impacted against Ghirahim's summoned wall and was electrocuted by it. He dropped to the ground, slightly dazed from the enormous shock of the wall and disappeared again.

He reappeared in front of Ghirahim and grabbed his neck. He held him in the air for a few moments before slamming him into the corner of the brick building and tore through it like it was paper. Ghirahim flew through the building, went through the other corner, and as the building began to topple, he ran back through and summoned more diamond knives as he began to flash-warp around the small battlefield.

He reappeared behind Jacqli as Leinart was distracted by the flash warping. He lifted her up as she was coming back to real consciousness and groped her chest and held her in place as his sabre was placed against her neck. His mouth was next to her right ear as he spoke.

(Cue Ghirahim's standard theme)

So your the little bitch that the Siren has taken control of huh...?

His tongue slithered out of his mouth and wrapped around her chin and tickled her left earlobe before slithering right back into his mouth.

Quite the pretty young thing you are...Why don't you tell that delectable little piece to come out so we can catch up...your just so delicious tasting...we wouldn't want anything...bad...to happen to you...now would we, little dove? Just give Lord Ghirahim what he wants before we...

His grip tightened around her breast and the sword cut into her neck a little deeper as his breath that crept in the inner workings of her ear made her slow hers to a crawl.

Get messy...heh, heh, heh...

As the blood started to trickle down her neck, his arm was pulled forward and back and he was thrown against the nearby wall. The sound of an immense amount of electricity coursing through his small body could be heard just after jacqli dropped to the ground. Ghirahim was thrown over the wounded Jaqcli, he bounced against the ground a few times like a stone skipping against water and nailed the other end of the wall, being electrocuted again, then dropping to the ground, dazed.

Leinart knelt down next to Jacqli and handed her a small glass vial filled with some sort of blue liquid. The look in his eyes said that it would help. He didn't wait before starting forward to continue to kick Ghirahim's ass.

Selena smiled like the Cheshire cat as she leaped from the building to the ground below. As she approached the ground golden energy sparked into her hand, which she drove into the ground, causing a large explosion. A few seconds later she emerged from the smoke, unscathed and running at full speed towards the group. She slowed to a walk as she neared them. Selena watched as Ghirahim felt up the young girl.

"Man, what a freak, he likes 'em that young? Ew...." A moment later the flamboyant demon was knocked to the ground by the man in the trench coat, which caused Selena to laugh. "Man you must of made 'em jealous." Selena took this opportunity to step up to the girl. "I know I was old to keep you alive...but Ghirahim's and Riku's expression if I cut your head off would be priceless...so yeah." With a wicked smile the girl raised her hand up, energy sparking around it. "Bye bye little brat!" As she brought down the attack the move was interrupted by a swift kick to her face, delivered by Ba'al, sending her flying into the rubble of a building.

"So I can use his combat techniques too...Interesting." Ba'al stated, commenting on Noah's Savate. Selena stood up and brushed the dirt off of her skirt.

"Well that was unexpected. And who are you supposed to be? A little fancily dressed for combat, aren't we?" She held out her hands, getting into a combat stance. "Well your fighting doesn't really man jack shit to my power!" She rushed him, as Ba'al held out his hand. A sphere of crimson energy formed around him, and Selena ran smack into it, repelling her and sending her back into the rubble.

"Ow...What the hell?" She asked as she stood up. Ba'al assumed a savate fighting stance.

"Come you insolent worm." Ba'al said, his eyes flashing crimson. Selena smirked.

"Oh I am so going to enjoy this." Selena threw off her fedora and slicked back her hair, her eyes glowing gold. She then rushed at Ba'al, ready to attack.

Jacqli sputtered out a cough, and a groan, one of her hands holding onto her chest, the other her bleeding neck. Damn. . . . she thought, seething, her face caught up in a very obvious grimace. The Siren still slept soundly with her half of Jacqli’s severed soul, her own song had become a lullaby to the she demon before any of the others it seemed. Without her, Jacqli was utterly powerless, and she knew it very well. The mortal teenager and her demonic alter had put their all into that last melody, into creating that aurora which still wavered overhead, raining down pieces of light unto the city and battlefield.

Jacqli had lost the vile of blue liquid that had been handed to her when that strange green-haired female had tried to take her head off. Noah’s demonic alter had come to the rescue though . . . that didn’t stop Jacqli from flinching of course. What the hell was going on? Why were they both after her specifically?

Calliope, who was her demonic alter. . . ? To have two members of the Black Emissaries coming after her particularly . . . something was up. And Jacqli didn’t like that one bit, but as thing stood it wasn’t like she could actually contact Calliope and get the answers out of her, after all, she was sealed up!

Warm blood continued to seep from the wound in Jacqli’s neck, and her hand wasn’t doing any good, it wasn’t halting the blood’s flow in the least. Jacqli coughed again, and craned her head up to look at the lights that still persisted within the sky. The brunette was able to make out streaks of light falling from it; falling to the earth and hitting ground, and people. Of course the lights were harmless; to normal humans they did nothing but look pretty, but to those who hosted demons, possessed any form of demonic power at all . . . they acted as a locking mechanism.

Soon . . . soon enough they’ll take effect, I’m certain of it. . . . the teenager thought. The song Jacqli and Calliope had sung took full effect on the crafter immediately due to the fact the power had spilled from their very soul. To those still fighting; it might take a bit for it to actually work, but it would work!

. . . .it had to. Then the crazies who had targeted her specifically would be left without power, and so would her allies. For a short time, they would be left as normal humans again, just for a short time. No, the thought wasn’t the most pleasant of ones, knowing that there were other Black Emissaries out there, but Jacqli doubted that they would attempt to strike again so soon after this. Calliope had agreed to her host’s beliefs, and supported fully her plans and song. The Siren wanted to see the battle end as well; there had been enough fighting for one day.

Blood began to seep down underneath the neckline of Jacqli’s soda-stained shirt, and soak into the material, leaving it an off-colored sort of brown. β€œDamn . . . it’s not clotting." she hissed, shutting her eyes. Here she was, once again, a damsel in distress. Jacqli had been trying to help out, trying to end this whole battle in a stalemate so she and her allies could rest and leave with their lives!! There was a lot left to do in this year to take down the Emissaries for good after all, and there was no way they could outlast the bastards on day one.

With a whimper, Jacqli shut her amber eyes and did something she normally never did, God, please! Please just let my song work already; I’m so tired of all of this!! Please just let this end for the day! J-Just please. . . . she felt a tear run down her cheek, Please don’t let me just sit here useless, just let it have worked.

β€œWork,” she whispered quietly, β€œPlease depower them all. Please. . . .” As Jacqli uttered her pleas, the lights from above began to pour down upon the whole of Terropolis like a heavy rain shower; engulfing everyone and everything in its calming, and sealing torrents.

Leinart approached Ba'al just as the green haired woman was launched back

Lorem ipsum defendendo eam. Non esse in duobus locis simul. Nullam est nibh, antequam ad eam de hac forma humana. Praeoccupo ejus off domina mea, scilicet tu?

He turned from Ba'al and went to Jacqli's side. He felt his power start to drain away and he was starting to grow weary. He located the blue vial from earlier and knelt next to her. He took a little on his finger and dabbed it on her neck where she was cut. Immediately, the wound started to heal completely. He then had her take the rest of the vial. Inside, she would start to feel revitalized and healed. His power faded away then and what was left was Leon as his normal self instead of his demon, Leinart.

He dragged Jacqli to her feet and tried to help her limp away without a word. Though he was weaker then her at the moment because of her spell.

Jacqli released a breath as the lights rained down upon her; her neck was still bleeding and she felt rather weary from this whole mess. For now, she was reduced to her old self, a pathetic human who could do little more than sit idle and watch a battle play out before her while uttering prayers to a deity that might not even exist. She was utterly useless, and that made her feel sick. The thought of reverting back into her old self who could do nothing was a thought that Jacqli did not want to come to terms with. Perhaps she and the Siren had made a mistake in singing a song of sealing? Perhaps they should have continued either to empower their allies, or to attack their enemies instead.

No, no I cannot start doubting our choice after it has already been made, the Siren agreed with my decision as well, surely she was not wrong! Jacqli told herself, huffing a bit at her own mentality, she cursed the fact she was so very vulnerable. Whether speaking physically or mentally, it matter not because she knew she was very much both. And that angered her to the point of wanting to cry.

Her amber eyes shut as she fought to keep herself from shedding tears, the last thing that she needed to do right now was to cry. No, doing that would make her even more of a pitiable person, and Jacqli knew that well. When she felt something her injury on her neck, Jacqli flinched from the shock, and from the pain, it caused and looked at the culprit responsible for the contact. It was the demon who defended Calliope; she did not know its name, or the name of his host despite the fact they’d been fighting alongside each other throughout this entire ordeal. She could only hiss as the injury on her neck suddenly grew uncomfortably warm in a matter of moments, her hand flew to cover it again only to find that it was sealing itself up. Jacqli looked to him without a word, surprised, but glad that her wound was healing.

He held out the blue vial she had lost earlier, when the woman in the fedora with green hair had tried to take her head off. So . . . that stuff was an elixir of sorts. She didn’t question him, instead nodded, took the vial and downed the rather bitter tasting liquid, it was bad enough to cause a shudder to run through her thin body. Okay, so that was gross, but it’ll help me. Bitter medicine is always the kind that works best. . . . she thought to herself as she resisted the urge to gag from the aftertaste. Seriously, the stuff was horrible.

The teenager remained quiet, watching as the demon seemed to succumb to her song at last and reform back into his host. Jacqli looked back to the battle that was still being waged, and wondered how long it would take for the rest of the participates to lose their powers to the effects. Jacqli was snapped from her thoughts and wonderings when she was pulled to her feet by the man, and she let out a cry of surprise, dropping the empty vial.

She was being touched again; all he had to do was tell her they needed to get out of there, and she could have gotten to her own feet. Okay, so she got he was trying to help her out and all, but his assistance sort of made her feel worse about her own current state. Jacqli pulled herself away from him when they wound up in a slightly safer area, able to tell that while he was trying to help her out, he was in a worse state than she was. Why is it men always have to act like their strong when they aren’t? she asked herself with a frown, β€œThank you for your help, but I can tell you’re worse off than I am right now, so you can stop trying to assist me when it should be I assisting you.”

β€œThe battle should be ending soon enough anyway. . . .” she murmured, β€œThen we all can get some rest.” She pushed up on the bridge of her glasses, and looked at the man again, β€œIt occurs to me that through all of this, you never even got my name. It’s Jacqli.”

Most recent OOC posts in Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

XD Well . . . there's a funny mental image.

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I'm not sure I I should put up a post about how Riku spends his idle time or not... I mean, he'd seem so much more less intimidating if you knew that he spent hours of each day trolling random internet sites or something... :P

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I'll wait a few hours before posting myself

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

Well, I posted this morning. XD

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

True enough, I'm still around as well, I was just waiting but if nothing happens in the next few hours, I'll go ahead and post. . . .

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I'll still stick around. Nobody said EVERY hero had to survive.

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

This tends to happen to role-plays, after the first few days there is a sudden slowing of posting, then around half of the people drop out... I say wait one more day, then get it going quickly again, otherwise the entire role-play may die. Just some advice...

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I had the same thing happen to a roleplay I started. ._. Twenty-five posts in the first two days, then it massivly slowed.

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

Things have definitely slowed down, which is odd seeing how strong a start this RP had...I will wait a little bit more before posting again, as I really don't want to post again so soon.

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

Part of the reason I'm quiet has to do with the fact that I was waiting for other people to post before I did again. . . .

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I'm just going with the flow. That and its christmas break. Either people are out with their friends, or out of town with family.

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

So what's happening, why is everyone so quiet all of a sudden?

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

I forgot about Christmas Break . . . hmm.

Hopefully I can get my roleplay started by then so people might have some time to post. Β¬.Β¬

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

But now i'm on christmas break and I get to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

And I feel sorry for Jacqli. - -;; Is everyone in the Black Emissaries out to get her and Calliope?

Re: [OOC] Chaos Legend: A Year to the End

And I have finally had the time to post...Well, now as I have some free time...I'm gonna go catch up on some good video game time...
