Yui liked listening to Luna sing, it reminded her of Aria, despite the fact that their voices were distinctly different. One deep and soulful, the other light and soft. Still, Yui closed her eyes, her troubles seeming to melt away just listening to Luna practice. Ren was growing ever more flustered, his cheeks red from the teasing of Xavier and Damian. "I like your singing Ren," Yui said with a smile, "you're just saying that because you have to be nice," Ren retorted, shaking his head as he refused to sing for them. "I don't have to be nice," Yui frowned, "I bet I can be super mean!" They all laughed at that, "Yui, you're like, the nicest person around. I don't think you could ever be mean if you tried." Ronan said, tapping her on the nose. "Yeah, you're too sweet, like sugar," Ally replied, throwing her arms around the child.
Yui frowned, "I can be mean if I want to!" Yui thought long and hard, "Um... Xavier is a big smelly, poop head!" They all laughed at her attempt. "That was the worst attempt at an insult I've ever heard!" Ren laughed, pointing a finger as Damian unpacked the food, doling it out onto plates. Yui looked down at her lap, blushing. Despite her best attempt, even the child was aware of how lame it was. "I can be mean," she huffed, crossing her arms. "As mean as a rabbit stuck in a trap," Xavier compared, "but that's alright, we like our Yui sweet." He put another piece of meat on her plate, wanting to make sure she ate. Yui frowned, it seemed that Xavier and Damian had piled an awful lot of food on there.
"Thank you for the meal!" She clapped her hands together, opening up her chopstick packet to dig in. Yui had missed Damian's food, after months of getting practically no nourishment from Hazuki and Fumino, then being tube fed because of her messed up body until she could be fixed, and even then, Yui had only gotten to eat bites of hospital food between seizures. Even though those threats were gone, a new one had arisen and Lia seemed intent on helping combat it despite her new life and looks. She and Yui no longer looked anything alike, which Yui found herself strangely happy about. It was a bit perturbing having someone that looked exactly like you walking around.
Ren was distraught by the news, Ronan and Ally seeming to expect it. Luna seemed oddly happy about it, seeming to want to hog Yui all to herself. "It's okay," Yui smiled softly, "We'll all miss you, but you want to start a real life, don't you? Away from the mess of being a light bearer." Xavier smiled sadly, "I'm no longer the leader of the Freedom Fighters, there isn't a need for them anymore, Japan has been liberated." Was it apt to say that he possibly missed the war? Perhaps. Luna promised she would never leave, Ally glomped the child, declaring that she would adopt her once she was Medicus. Yui's eyes widened, "does that mean you're gonna marry Leo!?"
