Dani has never been very pleased with herself. She was never pretty enough or talented enough. Any time she got recognized by someone who was interested in her, she always tried her best to hold on to that person as long as she possibly could. Those people made her feel good about herself. Because of this she has been known to sleep around with both guys and girls because they made her feel worthy. Even though she knew most of those interactions would never continue, it was good enough for her.
Any time something would come along to effect her life in a good or bad way, no matter what she always seemed to look at it with a pessimistic view. Dani already looks down on herself, so why should her life be a good one?
Any time Dani is given any sort of criticism, she seems to take it a lot more personal than it was meant to be. Her feelings are easily hurt and she is easily angered because she wants to please everyone because she knows no matter what she can't please herself. With all of her self criticism going through her mind day in and day out, she found that she has a very creative mind when she starts painting or sketching. Art has become her outlet of all of these emotions.
Dani never seems able to make up her mind either. Mainly because of the fear that no matter what decision she makes, it will never be good enough and she will be judged by the decision she did make. Because of this she prefers to go with the flow in hopes that things will turn out in her favor.

HISTORY
Growing up in the Miles household hasn't been the easiest for Dani. Any time she felt that she achieved something great, she was pretty much hidden under the table by her older sister's accomplishments. All her life she felt that she was shadowing her older sister and this was the first thing that made her who she is today.
Of course she knew her family loved her, that was far from the problem. She just wanted to feel that they recognized her worth and with them not recognizing it, she began to feel like she was worthless and that she would never been good enough for anyone or anything. Dani eventually stopped talking to her parents and her sister about what was going on in her life, because in the end they would just shrug it off and ignore it.
By the time Dani hit high school, her entire life was beginning to change. Her hormones kicked in and she quickly realized she felt good enough to both guys and girls who would spend the night with her. She knew she wouldn't interact with most of these people again after giving herself up to them, but that didn't matter to her. It was the only way she felt good about herself and it was honestly addictive. This continued on throughout the next four years of high school and has also continued on to her present life.
After graduating, Dani felt the need to get out of her parents house and start a life on her own. She ultimately decided to go along with her friends and move to New York, the place where she hopes she will finally be talented enough to become a professional artist. But until then, she has taken a job at a local coffee house as a waitress in order to make the bills month to month.
