Physical Description: An X-Naut with a “Z” on his suit in the place of an “X” who also wears a purple cape.
Personality: Z-Naut has a cunning, devious mind… that is quite often overshadowed by his childishness and seeming incompetence. He possesses delusions of grandeur, wishing to become “the greatest villain of all time” and conquer the world. He’s not any closer than he was a decade ago.
Equipment & Abilities: Z-Naut wields a laser sword, and has some scientific prowess in technology as well. He also has the power to merge with Wartail, U-Naut, V-Naut, and W-Naut to create A-Naut.
History: An X-Naut who used to serve Grodus, Z-Naut formed his own splinter faction of X-Nauts after Grodus’ defeat during the Shadow Queen incident so that he might conquer the world instead. Z-Naut has since tried many times, bringing forth the ancient dragon called Wartail and mucking around with time travel. One other incident worth mentioning was when an accident with an interdimensional device (caused by—who else—Sockie) led to Z-Naut, Wartail, and some of Z-Naut’s men to be able to merge together into the far more evil and powerful A-Naut. More often than not, Z-Naut has also found himself on the side of angels, battling other villains with aspirations for world domination. He has been inactive in recent years, but as has now reemerged as a member of the all-new Society of Evil Peoplez!

Z-Naut's Story

"Yeah, pretty awesome, ain't it?" says U-Naut. "Now the boss should be somewhere around--"
"U-NAUT!" cries a loud voice.
"--Here."
An X-Naut with a "Z" on his uniform, and a purple cape, stomps up to Riley and U-Naut rather angrily.
"What have I told you about bringing the druggies down here?!" shouts Z-Naut. "The last one got his damn sleeve stuck in the assembly line, and we ended up having to clean that mess for--"
"Hold on, boss!" interrupts U-Naut. "This guy's no druggie! He says he's some fancy-schmany chemist!"
"... Really?" asks Z-Naut, peering at Riley. "He looks like a druggie."

"... Really?" asks Z-Naut, peering at Riley. "He looks like a druggie."
"And you look like a bad cosplayer," said Riley. "But since this man just called you 'boss' I'm willing to bet you're not. Besides, most cosplayers can't get a hold of engines normally reserved to start turbine jet engines."
"You bet your butt I'm not a cosplayer!" exclaims Z-Naut. "I am Z-Naut the First, future emperor of Unitas!"
"So he's been saying for years..." mutters U-Naut.
"So... what makes a chemist pay a visit to us down here?" asks Z-Naut. "You're not one of the Society's interns, are you? I've already got my hands full training my daughter in the art of evil!"

"What Society would that be?" asked Riley. "And I was just curious to see what you've been cooking up. I used to be in the gas-brewing business myself. I'm looking to get back in."
"The Society of Evil Peoplez!" cries out Z-Naut. "An alliance of villains across the globe who support each other in all kinds of ways--"
"Boss, maybe you shouldn't be talking so much about the Society..." coughs U-Naut.
"Erm... good point." replies Z-Naut. "So what's your name, pal? And what kind of gas did you brew?"

Riley smiles widely once again, the smile almost tearing his cheeks apart.
"Grimace," answered Riley.

"... Holy crap!" yells Z-Naut. "That grin by itself is recognizable! You're the Happy Family guy! But... uh... aren't you dead?"
"Reports of my death were greatly exaggerated," said Riley. "And congratulations. You're the first people to learn I'm still alive."
Meanwhile, a cargo ship from Fantasma was docking in. Sneaking out of the storage room is Red, hopefully followed by the Noname Gang and Sockie's entourage.
"I really hope this is the last time you break the wind, Gumble..." Crunch reminded him, "That was.... uncalled for..."
"Well, I'd be glad to oblige a fellow villain!" exclaims Z-Naut. "In fact, you should celebrate your return by joining the Society! I'm sure they'd be glad to set you up with a new base and equipment!"

"Why do we cower like rats aboard this dingy craft?!" shouts Brimstone. "We should be charging into battle for all to see!

Riley thought for a few seconds. Another facility, and all the equipment he needed? That wasn't what he came for. He came to make sure his gas wasn't being distributed by improper hands (read: any hands that aren't his). But Z-Naut looked like he knew what he was doing. Riley also didn't imagine he could take this facility easily - he had several sharp instruments that worked wonders against flesh, but he was dealing with robots.
Besides, he liked the idea of getting free stuff.
"I'm intrigued," said Riley. "But what, exactly, IS this Society?"

"That's just it, Volcano-Face," Red commented. "We're on a STEALTH mission. If Majestic hears that we've been spotted, they'll likely up their guard. So keep as cool as possible."
Red took a moment to consider Brimstone's sheer size. "Erm, on that note..."

"Oh dear lord, this will not do." Kremlouie sighed, "Brimstone, you're too big to be stealthy. Unless we can come up with a better disguise, you'll blow our cover with your humongous size."
"Well, as I saying before, the Society of Evil Peoplez is an organization dedicated to helping villains in their endeavors, whether they be world domination, acts of terrorism, or just pure destruction! They've got the money to supply guys like us with whatever we need, from henchmen to secret headquarters; they're ready to break us out if we get captured; and they train up and coming villains in the art of evil! My own daughter is at their academy right now, and I'm so proud of all the progress she's made there! Plus, it's all for free! ... Mostly. We've got to send a portion of money into the Society's funds every so often if we've got it, as well as some of our other resources for our fellow Society members to use. All of this War Gas just ain't for dealers!"

"Well...clearly, we have no way to shrink you, so - (!) Wait a tic...!" Red unfurled her Cloak of Secrets, expanding its corners. "Let's try what we did in that shack in Edge Wilds, but without the tight spaces to fret over."
"You have to talk one of the head honchos--guy named Shatter." explains Z-Naut. "He decides if you're fit to join or not."

"Just do it, pal, and you'll have plenty of asses to kick later!" says Sockie. "Won't do us much good if we can't get off one stinkin' boat!"
Brimstone glares at Sockie... but then goes under Red's Cloak of Secrets, grumbling.

Brimstone glares at Sockie... but then goes under Red's Cloak of Secrets, grumbling.
"Okay everyone, let's move!" Red cast her Cloak of Secrets over the group and activated its invisibility charm. Now it was just a matter of moving through the streets toward the outskirts, the least-explored area of Haven. The streets aren't so busy at this time, thanks to the incident at Ingenium's port.
