Tales From Elsewhere
(Based on Finding the Holy Lands by MirrorMirror1498)

Introduction

It's not uncommon to have your grandparents leave you peculiar objects in their will, but never has anyone received such a life changing as the story of the young man we are about to follow. After his grandfather passed away he was left a diary detailing a search for an ancient treasure hidden somewhere within North America. However, many parts of the diary were encoded into riddles and seemingly meaningless drawings. Unable to solve much of it himself, he enlisted the help of two of his close friends. The three came to the conclusion that the treasure they were looking for was a priceless gemstone hidden within a tomb in the Rocky Mountains.

The trio found the tomb after following all the cryptic instructions provided by the diary and managed to get inside. It wasn't much of a tomb; more of a stylized cave. In the centre stood a pedestal, and atop that pedestal lay a beautiful, gleaming, ebony gemstone. The boy leading the expedition was drawn towards it like a moth towards a flame and pressed his hand to it as soon as he was close enough. He knew nothing of what he was doing until it was too late, a wave of purple light enveloped the tomb, transporting everyone inside to another world; a world known as Taakeira.

Upon arriving in Taakeira, the trio soon heard of an old legend regarding an archipelago far away from Taakeira known as the "Holy Islands". The Holy Islands were supposedly hidden from mortals by the gods, so only the worthy could find them. The Holy Islands house vast wealth, and anyone who can find them will be granted an audience with the gods. The Trio became certain that this was their way home, and so set off in search of them.

The World of Taakeira

Strictly speaking, Taakeira is just the continent of the world it's on, but it's the only continent, and so the whole world is often referred to as Taakeira. Taakeira is almost like Pangaea, but its shape is far different and it has various little islands dotted around the mainland. The mainland consists of five large, almost circular masses (known fittingly as circles) that would be separate islands were it not for the thin land bridges that all connect the centre of Taakeira on a peninsula known as the "Dragon's Pass". It is so named because it is home to the great dragon Klatzo, a sentinel of the gods who exists to prevent war amongst the different circles. His five children (Degetbura, Kaatanmura, Thorak, Alsar and Hclia) each guard one of the land bridges. His mate, Niria, guards the seas. The dragons have varying personalities, but all give people a chance to cross. Each land bridge is named after it's respective dragon.

The first circle lies in the northwest and houses the countries Akhar and Bhaeldron. The second circle lies in the north and houses Ik'Ra. The third circle lies in northeast and houses Gar and Yesterhold. The fourth circle lies in the southeast and houses Dhara. The fifth circle lies in the southwest and houses Ghaliar and Irvar. The island country of Thania is situated west of the Dragon's Pass. (For more specific information about the countries, look under the places section.)

Roles

Teen 1 - Cole Konrad (Taken)
The teen who was left the diary by his grandfather. He was the one who triggered the portal that sent him and his friends to Taakeira. He's a nice, well-meaning, young man, but hardly the sharpest tool in the shed. He is between 14 and 17 years old.

Teen 2 - Winsley Lore Winters (Taken)
The brainpower of the trio from Earth. She did the most work while decoding the diary. She is almost the exact opposite of her hot-headed friend; she is stern, serious, intelligent and hates taking risks. She is between 14 and 17 years old.

Teen 3 - Alessandra Lyra (Taken)
The third member of the trio from Earth. They aren't quite as stupid as the first teen, but not as serious as the second. They are between 14 and 17 and can be either gender.

The Squire - Martin Silverwood (Taken)
A young man from the city of Kalistos in Akhar. He undertook training as a squire but quit after a year, as he didn't like the strict rules and regulations. He is now unsure of what he's going to do next with his life. He is between 15 and 18.

The Princess - Valencia Mizzi (Taken)
The princess of Thania. As the only child of the King and Queen, she is the rightful heir. Since she knew that she would one day have to reign over Thania, she decided that she would need to be knowledgeable of the world outside her palace in order to be a good queen, and so, with her parents' permission, set off too see the world. She is extremely intelligent for a girl of her age, but still views the world from a childish perspective. She is between 10 and 13 years old.

The Guardian - Michael Maxwell (Taken)
The bodyguard of the princess of Thania. He is a foreigner to Thania, but lived there ever since the princess was born. He has always served as her bodyguard, and so the two have close bond. He now continues to look after her as the two travel the continent and upholds the ruse that she is the daughter of some other noble. He is between 26 and 40 years old and can be from Dhara, Bhaeldron, Ik'Ra or Galiar.

The Witch - Sute (Taken)
A refugee from Gar. The Witch was born with unorthodox magical powers, but never managed to access them until recently. Once she did, she was chased from her village by an angry mob who didn't want her kind around. She was then hunted by Inquisitors and nearly burned at the stake multiple times. She escaped Gar and fled to Akhar. She is between 14 and 18 years old.

The Rogue - Tidus (Removed)
A thief living on the streets of Kalistos. He never knew his parents and grew up in an orphanage in rural Akhar. The orphanage was a horrible place and underfunded, so the Rouge ran away as soon as he could. He left to Kalistos to seek his fortune, but found nothing. He now lives on the streets and steals whatever food and money he can to keep himself alive. He is between 13 and 15 years old.

Earth -----> Outside Kalistos

There were three of them. There had always been three of them, almost since the beginning, when she first moved to the States. They had always, always been there for her, just as she had always been there for them. It was a rare occurrence to see any of them apart, and when one did, in fact, see such a shocking event, one would know that something was not right. The three were as close as could possibly be, and with Winsley there to watch out for the other two, they would often find trouble, yet somehow remain unharmed and, well, not in trouble by their superiors.

The day that Cole received his grandfather's diary was the day that everything changed. She continued to insist that it was worth it to actually take the journal seriously, but he laughed her off for a few weeks, until finally he allowed her to translate the dialect that her grandfather had written in, and had allowed her to help him understand the riddles, maps, and other various, difficult items in the book. When she had finally gotten her hands on the journal, she wouldn't let it out of her sight. She took it home with her, and spent every second she could spare on it.

The night that they had finally broken through the entire journal, was the night that they followed the map, and the night everything went to shit.

They followed the map, and when they reached the end of the line, it was to find a gem, that captivated them. However, she retained her mental state, and attempted to explain to her friends that they should not act hastily, before they uncovered how the gem actually worked. Before she could do so, Cole had already hurried over to pick it up, sending them into an odd, otherworldly universe. That was the last thing she remembered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was far too bright for it to still be night. As she slowly awoke, Winsley grew aware of this fact. It was night just a few minutes ago ... How long was I out? She shoved her arm over her eyes and rolled over with a groan, doing anything she could to block out the sunlight. Her head was pounding and her stomach flipped, causing her to swallow back bile. She grimaced at the taste, but kept her eyes closed, not ready to yet climb out of bed and face the world.
It was then that she noticed that she was not in bed, but was laying instead in what could only be grass.
"What in the Hell ...?" she murmured, slowly blinking open her eyes. Her face was in the soft blades, her nose pressing into dirt. She must have been really out of it not to notice that her face was shoved in dirt and grass. She coughed a little as she pushed herself onto her knees, rubbing her face with her arm, itching her nose and eyes, and she finally mustered up the courage to look around her.
And that was the largest mistake of her life, for as soon as she did, she felt panic swell up inside of her. Immediately her heart began to hammer in her chest, her breathing increased in speed, and she felt her body begin to tremble. She had no idea where she was.
Winsley pushed herself up and onto her feet, where she clenched her hands into fists at her sides and forced herself to calm down. "Calm ... Slow, deep breaths ... You are okay, Wins, you are okay ..." she murmured, beginning to pace and rubbing her temples in the process. Her red blouse with pink and black lace, along with black bows, only caused her to become warm far too quickly for her liking. She loosened the neckline and one of the bows. Luckily for her, she still wore her pink and black-laced mini-skirt, so her legs remained cool. Her mid-knee-high boots stuck to her skin from her sweat, and she lifted her hair in on hand, peeling it away from her neck in an attempt to cool the back of it.
"It is far too hot for me to think ... I am hot, I am hungry, I am thirsty, and I am thoroughly exhausted due to my headache. I haven't a clue as to where I am, or even what time it is. All I know is that I am lost, and the last thing I remember is Cole touching the gem and me screaming for him ... Not ... To ..." she trailed off and stopped her pacing, her eyes widening. "The diary! The gem!" she cried, her hands flying up to frame the sides of her face.
She dropped to her knees and let her forehead fall to the ground, her eyes closed, her fists beside her head, and she let out a groan. "No ... Cole ... Alessandra ..." she groaned the three words, her hands flattening out into the grass. "Sono così spaventato... Che cosa dovrei fare...?" she murmured.
She remained like that for quite a while, before she finally pulled herself up to stand. She wiped at her wet eyes and sniffed a little. "At least I remember everything from Cole's book, everything about this world," she said quietly.
((Sono così spaventato... Che cosa dovrei fare...? ~ I'm so scared ... What am I supposed to do ...?[/i]
Alis opened her eyes only to be greeted by dirt and grass. Confused, she picked herself up on wobbly arms and spat out dirt and grass, cussing silently under her breath as she wiped her face off. "Cole, if this is your idea of a joke.." She called out but fell silent before finishing. Usually at this point she would have heard some sort of chuckling but it was silent. Alessandra finally looked around her and realized that she didn't recognize where she was at.
Panic welled up inside of her, she was alone. She buried her face in her hands and tried desperately to remember what had happened but her mind was foggy and her head was throbbing. The thought that she couldn't remember anything only worsened her fears and she quickly tried to put that out of her mind.
I can't panic.. She told herself, I just need to find people and water. With a goal on her mind, the red head willed herself onto her feet and tried to regain her senses. It was hot, she knew that much. She was also thirsty, suggesting she had been out for a while. She wondered where Cole and Winsley were but quickly pushed that thought out of her mind. She doubted they were out here, they were probably fine at home.
Alis dusted off her clothes, a purple blouse with a pair of black shorts and black flip flops. They weren't exactly conventional walking shoes, but they'd have to do seeing as Alis didn't see any shoe stores around. She took a moment to calm her heart, which was racing so fast that her stomach had begun to ache, before taking her first step... then realizing she had no where to go.
As soon as it had come, Alessandra's burst of confidence abandoned her and she sunk to the ground with a sudden wave of grief and self-pity.
She just wished her friends were with her, though she believed they were probably better off wherever they were.
Martin groaned wearily as he slowly opened his eyes. He was greeted by the sight of a grotty, wooden ceiling that looked dangerously close to falling down on him. He dragged himself out of bed sluggishly and put on his jacket, boots, belt, scarf and gloves. He strapped his sword across his back and pushed against the door; in his half asleep state he had forgotten it was locked. Or it should have been. It creaked slowly open, the rusty hinges resisting Martin's pushing. The hinges lost the fight, and Martin left the room, with the few possessions he owned.
He plodded down the stairs, gripping tightly onto the banister as he descended. He knew his senses were dull, and he wasn't about to risk falling down the stairs. The rest of the inn was just as badly-kept as his room. If he had had more money, he would have stayed somewhere where his biggest concern wasn't being crushed by falling ceiling-beams.
The bar on the ground floor was filled with all manner of characters Martin would never associate himself with; they were all dressed in ragged clothing, dirty and spoke in strong accents at which the nobility would have turned up their noses. Had Martin not been armed (and penniless) he would likely have left the inn covered in blood. In reality, they just stared at him as he walked past; he didn't fit in, and they didn't want him here. One other person who didn't quite seem to fit in was the innkeeper. He was a short, podgy man with a bald head and a bushy, ginger beard. His sleeves were always rolled up, revealing his hairy, leather-skinned arms. He always seemed jolly, despite the shady customers he received and the poor state of his inn. The chubby, little man nodded to Martin as he left, so he nodded back.
The streets that greeted Martin outside were more welcoming, but not all that much so. He had fresh air to breathe and the cobbled street wasn't filled with characters who looked like they had never earned and honest penny in their life. However, it was still fairly shabby and grimy. Martin retreated to his thoughts as he walked down the street, wondering what he would do now. Thoughts of how grim or bright his future could be swirled around his head as he travelled down the streets and eventually out of Kalistos.
Something would work out. Something always did. He'd have to find good work somewhere, maybe as a bodyguard for some paranoid noble or a guard in a small village. He would have to run into some opportunity eventually.
And so came the opportunity. While Martin didn't realise it at first, he certainly would come to. As he trudged down the dust path, kicking stones along just for the sake of watching them skitter down the path, he saw a girl on her knees by the roadside. She appeared to be on the verge of crying, and it certainly wasn't out of happiness.
"Miss?" Martin asked cautiously as he approached her, "Are you all right, Miss?"
As soon as Cole touched the gem and heard the shouting of Winsley he realised he made a mistake. However, like always, it was too late. A bright light flashed all around and Cole closed his eyes shut and felt himself flying backward like it was an explosion. It was his curiousity that brought him to touch the gem, but not the only reason, something kinda made him touch it. But, if something will happen to him or his two best friends it will be his fault and he will never forgive himself.
After he gain control and he opened his eyes slowly, his first sight was....dirt. He turned around to see bright blue sky above him. Did they been in that cave that long so it is morning now? Cole sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes and looks around. The new place was no cave either, it was a forest. Long grass that wasn't cut for long and many large trees around him. Cole felt a bead of sweat dropping down on her forehead, and he wipes it away. "Wow....so hot in here....but it is just October.....weird..."
Cole finally got up and checked the place, examining every bit in the forest. The place was not familer at all and he quirks his eyebrows. Where was he? . Also, Where were his best friends either? . He sure hopes they are alright, and he decided to start walking towards a direction to try and find some people or his friends.
All the attention was locked onto him, as he walks the streets with his three bags of groceries. His white coat fluttered against the wind as he walked. Questions were softly asked, not directly at him, but still it has something to do with him. But Michael paid them no heed, as he continues along the tracks towards the city Inn.
He was supposedly out to gather groceries for their upcoming next trip, and the princess seemed to eager for the upcoming travel. She said they were going somewhere far this time, but she never told him where. Like every time. He dismissed it as his imaginations. He was very, very loyal to the princess, but at the same time strict. He would complain when she gets too curious and starts wondering off to some places that might be dangerous, and he would always be the one to drag her out of it, often ending up with some casualties to the enemy if there are. He doesn't know why she is always curious, but he also tries to respect that. But his worries tends to get over him, and he ends up giving her a scolding.
You must protect my daughter at all costs! Do not let harm come to her! is what the king said, and so he upheld it. It soon became his duty to guard his princess with all his life, even if it means throwing away his pride. Though he understands that he needs to stop being like a nagging father, he just can't stop worrying for her safety. It was not long in his daydreams that he finally reached the Inn's entrance.
He entered, still managing to close the door with his hands full, and approached the room where the princess resides. He knocked onto the door, hoping that she wouldn't runs off to somewhere again.
It was beginning to come back now.
As Alessandra sat, hugging her legs to her chest and resting her head on her knees, the fog slowly began clearing and her memory of the events was still lacking some important information. She didn't try to remember too hard, though, it hurt her head too much and the young girl was smart enough to be patient and let the rest of the gaps fill themselves. She remembered being with Cole and Winsley and Cole's grandfather's journal...
"This is so dumb." The red head whined to Winsley's back. The pink haired girl shushed her and leaned deeper into the book, still trying to uncover more of the secrets to the mysterious journal.
"I think I'm getting to something big." Winsley explained, her voice almost a whisper as excitement welled up inside of her.
Alis rolled her eyes, "That's stupid," she insisted, "there's nothing 'big' about that dumb diary. It's probably just a cute little riddle for some sort of scavenger hunt for a birthday party or something."
Winsley shook her head but said nothing more, too focused on her work. Alessandra shut up and came up behind her friend to look over her shoulder, curious despite herself. "How'd you figure out all these markings?" She questioned, crossing her arms over her chest. Winsley still didn't answer and Alis sighed. Just then, Cole stepped in, grinning and carrying juice boxes for the three of them.
The red head snatched one and poked the straw in and took a sip while pulling out her phone and checking the time. "Ah! I gotta go home, mom's gonna go berserk if I'm not home by 9 again."
She turned and began out, but didn't get out of the room before hearing Winsley shout out. She whirled around only to get a face full of purple light...
And that's where it ended and she woke up in the dirt.
Alis squeezed her eyes shut and willed the tears that were beginning to come to the corners of her eyes to go away. It was all so confusing and she could only guess at what the glow and amnesia were all about. The memories were only bringing up new questions.
She sniffled loudly and brought up her head so she could wipe her eyes with her sleeve. However, her arm stopped abruptly at the sound of footsteps approaching behind the young girl.
She quieted her breathing and closed her eyes, trying to focus on the sound and where it was coming from. By the sound of it it seemed to be coming towards her. What if it was a murderer? What if she had been kidnapped and the kidnapper was coming back to finish what he had started? Alessandra hugged her knees tighter and tried to keep herself from hyperventilating as her heart rate shot up.
"Miss? Are you all right, Miss?"
Her back arched reflexively, awaiting the gunshot or the feeling of a knife in her back. Alis never had a very reliable fight or flight reflex, it was more of a 'wait for the blow and then take it from there' type of thing. She held her breath but the blow never came. Slowly, curiosity overcame her and she wondered why a murderer would ask her if she was okay before he killed her, unless he was the insane type, which did nothing to relive the poor girl's anxiety.
As much as it pained her, she realized that just sitting there would do her no good since the person did not leave or kill her yet. If she was going to die anyway, she might as well answer him and get it over with.
Alessandra tried her best to straighten up and look as confident as possible before nervously clearing her through. "I-I'm f-f-fine." She whispered, "why are you h-here?" She dared ask, flinching as she waited for the blow once more.
Sute the Witch
Sute wandered through the forest, not truly lost but with no where to go, she didn't want to stay in one place long. The wanderlust she felt was powerful and made her go places she had only read about in the secret books she had stolen. Not that she minded, seeing something and reading about it was very different, she had learned very quickly. Life outside of Gar was easier, not by much, but it was fun at times, not needing to run from witch hunters. Sometimes, she even smiled as the other country was lively and happy around her.
A rustle in the grass had her kneeling quickly, her eyes darting around the area. Living in that dreadful country made her hyper aware of everything and wary of everyone. Creeping forward, her eyes locked onto a strange looking male, who seemed to be talking to himself. Tilting her head, she slipped closer to the other human, keeping Zelig's hood up and hiding her presence in the grass.
The male suddenly got up off the ground and started walking away from the nearest village. Zelig whispered that she should help the male before he gets himself killed or worse. He egged her on to do the right thing for someone else for once. She mentally snorted at the idea of a demon, especially hers, advocating helping others and being kind. Said demon countered with the fact that allowing him to die would be like killing an innocent animal without reason.
The witch glared but resigned, knowing the demon was right, for once. She continued to sneak around the boy, watching him curiously. It didn't seem that he was a native to the area or even Taakeira. His clothes too different, his aura too innocent. It was almost endearing and adorable to the hardened renegade witch. Zelig snickered at the thought, a bit too loudly for Sute's liking, however. Sute froze to see if the male turned to face her. She may've been in the taller grasses but if one looked hard enough, they could easily find her.
She curled up into an even tighter ball once she had heard him and stopped breathing. It was as if she was waiting for him to strike her. She was obviously in a terrible state, most likely insane. Still, that didn't mean that Martin should leave her curled up in a ball and crying by the roadside.
She remained silent for a while, and Martin was beginning to wonder if she had not heard him or if she was simply ignoring him. He was just about to ask her again, but she did eventually reply.
"I-I'm f-f-fine. Why are you h-here?"
She spoke in a hushed voice and seemed to have great difficulty pushing the words out of her mouth; her jaw shook uncontrollably as she spoke, causing her to stutter. She had a very peculiar accent, unlike any other Martin had over heard before. Maybe she was Dharan. Martin quickly threw away the thought, while he had never spoken to a Dharan and so had no idea of what they sounded like, he knew they had much darker complexions, and they certainly didn't have hair as bright as hers.
The peculiar way in which the girl spoke almost made Martin forget what she had actually said. It took him a second or so to remember. She had told him she was fine, and asked why he was there. What funny thing to ask. The fact that she had just blatantly lied to him didn't make him think any more of her, either.
"You quite obviously aren't." Martin replied, "And I'm on my way out of Kalistos."
She was still hugging her knees tightly and not looking at him, so he walked around and knelt down in front of her in an attempt to get her to make eye contact with him. Maybe she would realise he wasn't to be scared of. He tried to get a look at her face, but she was still hiding it with her legs.
"I think I could ask you the same question." Martin told her, "What are you doing by the roadside, crying to yourself like a scared child who's lost her mother? It isn't safe, you could get attacked and robbed; you're obviously an easy target."
Cole was looking around while walking, his nevigation skills were not too good but he wasn't hopless on it either. However, he was in a strange place, a forest even, which he didn't know at all. It was very difficult to know where the direction to civilization somewhere. He hoped to find a wanderer somewhere. He continues to walk in the same direction and than he cupped his hands on his mouth and shouted to his friends, "Winsley! Alessandra! Where are you?". He waited for a response and when he didn't get he sighs, he sure hopes they are just far away but safe.
He started to walk again but heard some rustling sound of leaves, his eyes widen with surprised happiness as he thought maybe it is them. He turned around to the direction of the noise and narrowed his eyes, examining closely, than he noticed a figure which looks female. He smiles and thinking it is Winsley or Alessandra, he gestures for her to come closer. "Oh, I found you! Come here!".
The princess sat, pondering what to do. Michal had gone out to fetch groceries and here she was, stuck in a room. It was for her own good apparently, but she hardly agreed to that. She was supposed to be learning about the other rulers of in the world of Taakeira. She wouldn't be able to that by sitting in a room all day. But if she left without warning Michal would have her head- figuratively of course. If he actually had her head her parents would do terrible things to him. She didn't want that to happen to him.
Sighing, Valencia rose from the bed and began looking through some of Michal's bags, wondering if she'd be able to find a sword to practice with. He'd promised to teach her sometime during their travels. Then again, she always wanted to be on the move and that left little down time for her to learn. Wait, why was she looking in this bag? Wouldn't he have any swords he owned with him? Valencia laughed a bit as soon as she realized her mistake.
Hmm, if she couldn't practice fighting she could at least practice her magic. It wasn't uncommon for people in her land to practice magic, but other countries varied. The small girl twirled around the room happily before carefully positioning her fingers. Her index finger was slightly raised, while her middle finger drooped down. Her ring finger and thumb hung in a ling with her hand. Her pinky twitched a bit before settling into place, raised higher than any of the other appendages. Closing her eyes, she let out a deep breath and flicked her wrist up. The furniture and decorations around her rose quickly. She opened her eyes and smiled, concentrating on moving the bed and then the vanity.
"Lovely!" she declared, setting the large pieces of furniture down as carefully as she could. Valencia then started to twist her wrist, making the candles she had floating turn in a circle. She began twirling them faster and faster until they looked like a fire tornado. She laughed happily and her smile widened.
Her joy was interrupted by an abrupt knock on the door. It shattered her concentration and the candles began to fall. Valencia reacted quickly, keeping the candles from setting the floor on fire, though a few drops of hot wax had dripped onto the floor. She groaned before turning to look at the door. "Yes? Michal is that you? You may come in," she called before setting the candles back in their place. She could only pray that he wouldn't punish her for this.
"Okay, Winsley ... Just stay calm and think. Due to your surroundings and from the descriptions in the book that Cole's grandfather has left you, you are somewhere in the odd, other world that he spoke of. You have a bit of an idea where, but are not positive. You know no one in the direct vicinity, you haven't a clue as to where your friends are, and you're alone, with no way to buy food, water, or a place to stay. From the position of the sun in the sky, you can reason that it was late morning, early afternoon, and you have only just awoken from what was undoubtedly an uncomfortable, unconscious sleep. Now, what can you do about that?"
Throughout the entirety of her little speech to herself, she paced slowly back and forth, until one could see a permanent indent of her footsteps in the grass. She clenched and relaxed her jaw, rubbing at her temples with her index and middle fingers, and kept her face towards the ground.
She finally stopped and sighed, shaking her head just a bit.
"The best I can do for now is find somewhere to think," she suddenly said, tilting her head back to look up at the sky, her pink hair cascading down her back.
Spinning on her heel, she made her way in the direction of some place known as Kalistos, as mentioned in Cole's book and and on a sign.
It took her approximately ten minuets to reach the town - city? - and by the time she did, her feet were no doubt blistered, as hinted at by the soreness in them. She paused to lean against a building and adjust her boots, before she continued on.
Winsley was bumped and shoved throughout what was undoubtedly a marketplace, and she mumbled apologies each time, receiving odd stares when she did. She took in the fact that she had an odd coloring in comparison with the people milling throughout the marketplace, and listened to their voices. She attempted to ask different people questions, but whether it was her accent, her unfamiliar face, or her appearance, they would only shy away and brush her off.
Finally, she stopped at the edge of the marketplace, now somewhere in the middle of the city, surrounded by what was undoubtedly houses. With a baffled look on her face, obviously lost in several different ways, she slowly began to make her way down different streets, until she was completely and utterly lost.
Having decided that getting herself lost probably hadn't been the best idea, she let out a huff and gave up, dropping onto a nearby bench. She leaned forward, placed her elbows on her knees, and dropped her face into her hands, ignoring the whispers of the people that passed by her; whispers of her appearance, whispers of her clothes ... Whispers that included everything about her.
Her lower lip began to tremble a little and she sniffed, peaking up at the people that walked by, who only then began to whisper of her three, dotted tattoos on her forehead. With dropped her head back into her hands with a soft groan.
"What am I supposed to do ...?" she mumbled, a soft sniffing sound coming from her.
TIDUS
It was a normal busy day in the city of Kalistos. Tidus had woken up not too long ago to the sound of a bustling market place and a furious fish seller who was yelling at a small child for stealing food. His 'home' was in between two tall houses that were close together but far enough apart to make a small alleyway, a place where he kept most of his belongings that he didn't take with him and where he slept comfortably in a torn and dusted matress with a tattered thin blanket that was useless in winter. It was much like a home to him, cardboard boxes were scattered around neatly, luminated at night with small broken lanterns that he scattered around and on top of the cardboard to make it comfortable and homely. With these lanterns little possesions that he had gained over the years sat on some of the boxes like a shelf of prized trophies. A pair of washed--but still dirty clothing containing of socks, shorts and shirts hung lazily on a small piece of wire connected from one building to the other. The brick tiles on the ground were dirty but not as dirty as other bits in the city as Tidus made sure to keep his house as clean as he could.
He stretched wearily after he threw on some clothing and picked up his back pack of handy tools that he used during his endevours throughout the town. His shoulders complained, not used to the weight of the back pack once more after two weeks of not having to search for any items and especially food. Two weeks ago he had hit the jackpot of finding a whole bag of rice thrown away because mice had gotten into it, but it was still perfectly fine and a wonderful find for a homeless boy. He boiled the rice with water in a small broken pot that he found and fixed quite some time ago and ate plain cooked rice for breakfst, lunch and tea for the last two weeks. The bag of rice was near empty now and he had to deal with rations again until he found another great find for food once more, though it was very rare and a special treat. He noted to himself to check the place where they threw out the rice in case they had done it again, even though Tidus was sick of rice now but food was food.
After walking through the crowds of people a short while he caught on to a few whispers of a strange girl in the market place. Customers were a great source for gossip and news and he learned to listen to them after the day when he heard the bakery was giving out free samples of their bread and he managed to sneak at least 10 free samples that afternoon.
Often new people meant money, sellers often bathed in the thought of new people because they generally were travellers and had a lot of money to spend in markets and shops. Tidus, of course, bathed in this thought as well. Not more than once had he tricked travellers into giving him quite a bit of money or some nice food. He sought out to find this mysterious girl, perhaps he would eat something different to rice tonight.
It wasn't long before the whispers became more common and peoples stares pointed in one direction. A girl of an age he wasn't sure of sat on a bench, long pink hair fell down to her waist and he was baffled; never seeing one quite like her before. This only meant one thing...she had to be loaded with money. His hopes pearked up and amidst the crowd of people he considered approaching her, asking if she needed any help and then asking for some coin in return. Yes, that would do.
Tidus approached the girl casually and looked down on her, him standing and her being seated. Her hands were covering her face and she seemed rather distressed; perfect! He refrained from smiling and gave his most polite voice, clearing his throat before he spoke.
"Hey there...uh...do you need some help?"
Of course, he looked rather shady (it wasn't mistaken that he was a homeless boy--or what he liked to call himself, a rogue) but people seemed to accept his offers because he was polite and his eyes were a lot different to the rest of him so most of the time they trusted him, though some were too smart and left him without a penny (on his bad days), so he tried to be on the best behaviour he could be when talking to potential 'customers'. He hoped this girl was the same.
Sute the Witch
Sute glared at the strange boy and slowly stood. Zelig twitched and began to morph into a large black crow, chuckling as he did so. The bird fluttered his wings, looking at his bonded and gave a birdy grin. "He's spotted you, my dear. Let's go introduce yourself!" The demon laughed, as Sute glared at him. She didn't want to, but if she wanted to help the male escape the forest, she knew she had to. Looking back at the male, she gave a soundless sigh and began to walk over.
"You found us, human child! And we have come hither, so what is it you require?" Zelig asked, tilting his bird head in question. Sute looked at the demon in confusion before rolling her eyes. She never tried to understand the demon or his weird speak patterns. Her hand rested on the rippling form, as the shadow swirled but kept a solid form. It twitched and squirmed under her fingers, as the crow shifted, watching the human boy.
Winsley didn't know how long she sat there for - seconds? Minutes? Hours? Highly unlikely, but still -, but when she finally registered that the whispers had died down, she realized it had only been a few minutes.
"Hey there ... Uh ... Do you need some help?"
She jumped, gasping aloud, and fell backwards off of the bench. She landed hard on the stone ground behind her, her legs over the bench, her back across the ground and her hair splayed around her. People stopped and stared, before they scurried away, their faces hidden by them turning them towards the ground.
Slowly, she pushed herself up, rubbing at her bottom as she did so. When she was finally standing, she fixed a slightly-annoyed gaze on the boy that had approached her, who appeared to be only a bit younger then her - and homeless. She could see that he was due to his appearance; his clothes, his uncut hair ... And merely the aura he gave off. He seemed to be trying far too hard. It was obviously a con to try and cheat her out of whatever money she had ... If that money was even any good in this new world. There had been nothing in Cole's book about the currency in this world, so she hadn't a clue.
After staring, in what could only be a stupid way, at the boy for several minutes, she finally mustered up the courage to speak, for fear of the new person had been the only reason why she had stared blankly at him.
"Help would be greatly appreciated," she murmured, attempting to speak quietly to shield her accent. She looked down, and then peered up at the boy through her eyelashes. "Can you tell me where I am? I saw a sign that said Kalistos on it, and I was just wondering if that is where I am currently. Also, is there a local police force of some kind here? I must speak with them immediately ..."
She trailed off, her lower lip wobbled, and thick blobs of tears appeared in her eyes. She blinked them back quickly. "My name is Winsley. I don't have much to give you ... But can you help me, per favore?"
"You quite obviously aren't."
Alis flinched, not realizing the stranger was still there. He had fallen silent for a while and she hoped he had lost interest in the strange girl by the road and left. She sighed, he was right, she wasn't fine. But saying that you are fine when you're not is something that people just say. She had never been reprimanded because of it before.
"And I'm on my way out of Kalistos."
It took her a while to realize that he was answering her first question, and longer yet to wrap her head around what he had said. Kalistos? She thought, confused, where the hell is Kalistos? Surely I would have heard of a place with such a strange name before? Her ribs ached with grief, where was she? Where was this Kalistos that the strange man was talking about? She clutched her clothes tightly, trying to keep hold of a shred of sanity.
Anyway, silence was getting her no where once again, and she finally raised her head and wiped her eyes on her sleeves. Alessandra sniffled, "Kalistos? Where's that?" Her voice was small and she still didn't look at the man who was talking to her, not ready to face him after how she was acting.
He didn't answer her immediately, instead, he walked around and knelt in front of her. She shrunk back a little, but finally gave in and gave him her attention. She immediately regretted it, it only stressed her out more.
He looked like he had just stepped out of a Lord of the Rings movie or something. However, that didn't freak her out as much as what was strapped to his back. A sword.
Her crimson eyes widened at the sight of the weapon. Maybe this man was there to kill her. She would have said something, maybe asked him about it, but her mouth had gone dry and she had lost her words. Death was upon Alessandra Marie Lyra. She still tried to understand why he was dressed in such a way. Was there a strange satisfaction for him, cutting down his victims dressed as his favorite hero from a fantasy film?
"I think I could ask you the same question." She jumped, "What are you doing by the roadside, crying to yourself like a scared child who's lost her mother? It isn't safe, you could get attacked and robbed; you're obviously an easy target."
A shiver ran up her spine and she cringed, an easy target? To who? She didn't see any dangerous person around except for him. He was the one with the sword! Scared that he'd hurt her if she didn't answer, Alis swallowed the bile the came up from the fear and said quietly, "I'm lost, I don't know why I'm here."
When the female and her companion walked out from their hiding place and approached him, Cole blinked in confused shock. She was not Winsley or Alessandra and he steps a bit backwards, kinda confused and a bit embrrassed of the mistake he made. He opened his mouth to say sorry for the mistake, but than his mouth stays open and his eyes widen when the girl's companion, a crow, spoke to him. "You found us, human child! And we have come hither, so what is it you require?" .
Cole was silent for several minutes, almost looking a bit rude because he didn't answer, although he didn't mean it to be. He was always polite to people, even strangers. However, a speaking crow is not something you see every day, or he never seen something like it. Than Cole regains himself and said, but looked at the female, "Hi....hmm...sorry, I thought you were my friends. I lost them and I need to find them, can you tell me if there is a nearest town here?". Suddenly he points at the crow and giggles, "Did that crow just spoke to me or I bump my head hard enough?".
It took a while before the girl uncurled herself from her "shell". The girl and Martin looked each other up and down, curious as to who the other was and what they looked like. The girl looked very strange; her clothing definitely wasn't from Akhar. She wore a loose, purple top, black trousers that ended before her knees, no socks and a rather flimsy pair of sandals. Her sandals were made of an odd material, the likes of which Martin had never seen before. Her face seemed normal enough, but her hair looked dyed and her eyes were a deep shade of crimson. Where could she be from? What if she wasn't even from Taakeira?
She spoke soon after she had unravelled herself, in her strange, rhotic accent.
"Kalistos? Where's that?"
Martin looked at her incredulously; how could she not know where Kalistos was? By the sound of it, she probably didn't know what it was, either. Perhaps she was joking. Yes, that was it, she was trying to calm her nerves by joking to herself.
"I think I could ask you the same question. What are you doing by the roadside, crying to yourself like a scared child who's lost her mother? It isn't safe, you could get attacked and robbed; you're obviously an easy target."
The girl jumped back as he spoke and stared at him in fear, much like a trapped beast does when it is surrounded by hunters. He half expected her to spring up and run from him in terror, but she stayed still, sat down and shaking in fright. She answered him though, her voice hoarse and quiet.
"I'm lost, I don't know why I'm here."
Martin was half inclined to scoff at her, nobody just wakes up by the roadside without any memory. Not with their belongings, at least. However, he realised that she was serious. A sudden wave of pity engulfed him, this poor girl didn't have a clue where she was or what was going on.
Martin noticed that she seemed to be staring at his sword, that seemed to be the cause of her fear. So, he stood up, reached over his shoulder and drew his sword. He considered brandishing it to tease the girl, but brushed the thought aside and felt ashamed that he'd ever considered getting a laugh out of such a vulnerable target. He raised the sword, causing the sunlight to glint weakly off the worn blade, then drove it into the ground. It wasn't a particularly good sword, the blade was rather dull and starting to rust, and the leather was beginning to come off the hilt. It looked more appropriate for beating someone to death with that stabbing or slashing.
Martin walked over to the girl, leaving his sword behind him, so that she could be sure he wasn't going to kill her with it. However, he no intention of just leaving it in the ground; he needed something to defend himself with. If he managed to earn a bit more money, perhaps he could buy himself a new sword; one that sparkled like ice and could sever flesh neatly and with a single swipe. Martin held out his hand to the girl, so that she could pull herself up from the ground. She couldn't sit there all day.
"I suppose you weren't joking when you asked about Kalistos." Martin smiled down at her, "Kalistos is one of the largest and most important cities in the whole of Taakeira. It's ten minutes or so up the road, on foot. If you really are lost, you should probably head to Kalistos. I can take you there, if you want. I'm Martin, by the way. What about you? Do you at least know who you are?"
The man in the strange attire seemed to look at Alessandra, the lost girl, with pity. She noticed him calculating her every move, it seemed he was just trying to figure how he should go about working with her. He seemed just as clueless and confused about her desperate situation as she and it brought the girl some comfort. When he realized what was causing her fears, the sword sheathed on his back, he quickly understood and went about trying to fix the situation. Slowly, so he wouldn't spook the poor girl, he removed the battered thing from the sheath and raised it up.
To Alis, cowering on the ground, it was seen almost as a threat. As the sword hovered in the air above her, she shrank back and considered running. However before she could, he stuck it in the ground. She huffed out a sigh of relief and pressed her hand over her forehead, trying to chase away the stress-induced headache that she felt coming on. Slowly, she removed her hand from her head and combed her fingers through her loose hair. Normally she'd have it tied up, but it seemed it had been removed between the time she was with her friends to now. To her horror, Alis could only imagine was state it was in.
She had been too busy worrying about her hair that she hadn't noticed that the strange man had approached her. She was relieved to see that he had left his sword in the dirt behind him, though she still panicked as he came closer. He stopped in front of her and held out his hand. Half expecting it to be another attack, Alessandra flinched at the movement, however, a look at his face revealed better motives. Reluctantly, she reached out and grabbed it, using it to help hoist herself up onto her feet.
"I suppose you weren't joking when you asked about Kalistos" he began. Alis still hadn't found her voice and only nodded as she dusted herself off. When she looked up, the man was smiling at her and she took a step back, still unsure of his standing in the whole situation, though he seemed harmless enough. "Kalistos is one of the largest and most important cities in the whole of Taakeira. It's ten minutes or so up the road, on foot. If you really are lost, you should probably head to Kalistos. I can take you there, if you want. I'm Martin, by the way. What about you? Do you at least know who you are?"
Alis sighed, what on Earth was Taakeira? She wondered if she had just stepped into the territory of some strange roleplaying game that she hadn't known about. Taakeira. Taakeira. She searched her mind for any hint of recognition, though she came up blank. She didn't want to appear stupid to the man, though, so she just nodded as if she understood. Maybe it would be best if she just played along. "Kalistos. Large, important city. Got it." She whispered under her breath, trying to commit the information to memory, just in case she'd need it later. He offered escorting her before giving her his name. Alis was shocked and wondered if she should take him up on his offer. A quick search around her revealed that there didn't seem to be many people and the people she did see didn't exactly look like decent characters. It would probably be best to go towards a city, maybe she could find a phone or something there. Or maybe Cole or Winsley were there. "Uh, okay. It would be good to have help finding my way around, thank you." She said, running her fingers through her red mane again, nervously. "My name is Alessandra. Though, my friends call me Alis." She added, quickly. "I've lost my friends, too. Winsley, a girl with long pink hair and tattoos on her forehead and Cole, a boy with brown hair, he's small and kind of girly. Maybe we can find them in Kalistos?" She offered, hope flooding through her, maybe Martin had seen them already.
Sute the Witch
One of Sute's eyebrows shot up into her bangs. The boy was quite... Quirky. Zelig brought one wing to his beak and thought about it. "Well, human child, I am speaking but I'm not a crow entirely... Ah, but no matter to us now. My dear here can lead you to the city. In fact, we may want to go soon. When one stays in the forests too long... They lose themselves..." Zelig's voice took a haunting quality before he smiled and shifted into a snake. The serpentine head got close to the boy's and the dark tongue slid out and tasted the air around him, marking his scent with a face, and soon, a name.
"Ah, where are my manners? My name is Zelig! This lovely young human girl is Sute. She'll be the one to lead us out of here. Maybe she'll even be able to find your friends! Do tell us what they look like. Hair, eyes, markings, scents. We, and by we I mean myself, can track nearly anything, if I try that is." Sute, who, per usual, remained silent. Her eyes slid around the environment, glaring at movements in the bushes or grasses. She dared something to attack them. She was itching for action, now that she was idle. Her feet yearned to move. Her hands twisted the various leather straps, restless already.
Michael Maxwell
With the permission to enter from the princess, Michael twisted the doorknob, and what awaited him was something he could have guessed from the earlier thumps. "What have I told you about using magic in an Inn? It is dangerous and it might get you into trouble." He warned with a calm voice. He quickly settled the groceries down onto the table beside, and rushed to cleaned up the mess. The heat from the candle wax that dripped onto the carpet wasn't as dangerous, but it could have burnt the princess, thus harming her hands or legs or even worse, her face. If that happened, and she can't show her face anymore, surely he will be sentenced to death. Though that didn't mattered, the princess's safety is his first priority, so he must consider every possibilities before rushing into conclusions.
He walked towards his bag, which was obviously ransacked by someone, clearly the princess, and stuck his hands into the bag with the placements of items ever so confusing. With ease, he pulled out a cloth from the inside, carefully, without dragging out other irrelevant items that he doesn't need. He crouched beside the wax, and wiped it. Surprisingly, the wax was gone with just one wipe, and on the cloth, the wax was as if liquid, as it was deeply absorbed into the cloth. He stuffed the cloth back into the bag. Michael walked towards the slightly opened door, and close it with a quiet slam. He paced himself towards his bed, and removed his sword, placing it down on the soft cushion.
"I have brought the groceries you have asked for, princess. When will we be heading out?" He asked, while going through his backpack, checking whether he left anything or had any needs to restock on items he may need during the journey.
Martin pulled the girl to her feet with one quick and forceful pull; she wasn't too heavy so it wasn't very hard. She staggered backwards soon after getting up and then dusted herself off. She spoke again, but sounded more confident than she had done before.
"Uh, okay. It would be good to have help finding my way around, thank you. My name is Alessandra. Though, my friends call me Alis. I've lost my friends, too. Winsley, a girl with long pink hair and tattoos on her forehead and Cole, a boy with brown hair, he's small and kind of girly. Maybe we can find them in Kalistos?"
"Well then, Alis, it's nice to meet you." Martin began, "I don't think I've seen either of your friends, but if they have any sense, they will have found their way to Kalistos. If they're in the area, that is. You might want to stay close to me in the city and try to draw as little attention to yourself as possible. I don't mean to be rude, it's just we don't get very many people dressed in such a funny manner around here. In fact, you are literally the only person I've ever seen dressed in clothing like that. Well then, shall we be off?"
Martin turned and gestured for Alis to follow him. He walked back towards the road and with one swift movement pulled his sword from the ground and returned it to its scabbard. He stepped back onto path again and walked straight back in the direction he had just come. He wasn't going to find much work at this rate, but he couldn't just leave Alis by herself.
After about ten more minutes of walking, the pair had finally reached Kalistos. Huge, granite walls encircled the city, and Martin and Alis had come to one of the four gates. The gates were left open until the sun had set, and opened again in the morning when it was once again light.
"Well, here it is." Martin smiled, "Kalistos, the city of beauty. I'm surprised you managed to miss it. But never mind that, let's see what we can do about your predicament."
Martin continued walking and kept constantly checking that Alis was nearby, it wouldn't be hard to lose her in the crowds that were to come.
Kalistos was teeming with life, as usual. People were bustling up and down the streets, going about their daily business, children were running around, playing games, and the sound of human voices filled the air. Martin checked his money pouch to see how much he had left, but to his dismay, it was devoid of cash. Martin slumped down on a bench and stared around the street.
"Well, now what?" Martin asked, "We're here, but I can't really see what we're going to do next. I suppose we go and look for your friends. Do you have any idea of what kind of place they would go to upon getting here?"
"What have I told you about using magic in an Inn? It is dangerous and it might get you into trouble." Michal scolding her was almost a sort of praise for the princess, who smiled and sat down on the bed. "I meant no harm," she told him honestly, thinking of all the other times her guardian had told her not to do this or that. But she was still alive and well, was she not? As far as she was concerned, she was no danger to herself and hardly to others. After all, she was still young and innocent.
Nonetheless, Valencia knew that Michal cared very much for her and she shouldn't over stress him. She was not fond of people dying, but she had seen plenty slain over mistakes that they had made. She knew it would be best for her to listen to him, but her childish curiosity pushed her deeper in to the realm of reality. Oh, she couldn't wait to zip away from here and off to another city! It was all so exciting, being on the mainland for the first time and experiencing something new. Plus, she was almost an average person now. Well, maybe.
Michal brought her back to the inn room, asking when they'd be departing Kalistos. "I think we'll leave tomorrow, but you'll have to wait to see where of course. I would like to see more of Kalistos while we're here. But first, I would like an apple." Valencia rose before he could beat her to it and delicately plucked an apple from one of the bags, not bothering to check if there was enough food for them and what she wanted. She trusted Michal with her life- food was nothing.
Taking a bite of the apple, she smiled and nodded at his sword. "Someday, you will need to teach me how to use that." She took another bite and approached the door, turning to make sure he was following her. Valencia opened the door and quietly walked out, eager to explore more of Kalistos. She had seen parts of the city, but for the most part it was nothing that was particularly interesting. The way of life here was different, yes, but she craved more of an adventure. She would soon find it.
Michael Maxwell
"Someday, you will need to teach me how to use that."
"Of course, princess. But for now, you are safe with me. I shall teach you when the time comes." He smiled softly. He could not bear to see the princess covered in blood with her blade. He was afraid that when she learnt the ways of a sword, she might get her hands tainted with the death of thousands, just for the reason of 'self-protection', he wouldn't want to see her becoming like that. It's unbearable for him.
The princess seemed to have as if dragged Michael onto a trip of exploring the town, in which he didn't mind, as he might find some shops that might interest the princess; the princess's smile was all he need to do anything. Although their expenses were all there because of the bounties he always does in the night when the princess was deep asleep. He couldn't let the princess know how he was getting money, and he always manages to avoid the question by saying it's from a part-time job he sometime does when he's out.
They passed by a shop where a wanted poster was putted up. He told the princess to move on and went to get the poster. He stripped the poster down from the window and inspected it, to burn the image into his mind. A man with a brown beard and a face with many scars. One of the scars ran down across his right eye. "Must be one eyed, then." He mumbled. He stuffed the poster back into his pocket before catching up to the princess, whose attention wasn't directed towards the different types of stores, but rather the same eyes in which begged for an adventure that she always loved.
Once he caught up to her, he had realized that she wasn't out to explore the city, but rather an adventure enough to satisfied her one day of needs. He stopped and paced behind her, allowing her to have a full view to inspect the city. Even if he would have wanted to stop her and her curiosities, since they will be leaving tomorrow, he decided to let her do whatever she wants. Much like a souvenir to her from him for visiting this city of Kalisto.
Cole's eyes almost bulged out from their sockets when the crow keeps speaking,
"Well, human child, I am speaking but I'm not a crow entirely... Ah, but no matter to us now. My dear here can lead you to the city. In fact, we may want to go soon. When one stays in the forests too long... They lose themselves..."
It took Cole a few minutes to understand this, but he looked around and soon realised he needs to get out of the forest and find his friends, it doesn't matter now. It is clearly a strange place, he wasn't much got interested in his grandfather's diary but when Winsley learned it he did hear a few things. "Alright....thank you, I really appreciate it....hmm...". He got stuck when the crow shifted to a serpent and approaches him and hissing his tongue at him.
"Ah, where are my manners? My name is Zelig! This lovely young human girl is Sute. She'll be the one to lead us out of here. Maybe she'll even be able to find your friends! Do tell us what they look like. Hair, eyes, markings, scents. We, and by we I mean myself, can track nearly anything, if I try that is."
Cole gives his cute, breaking-the-ice smile towards the girl name Sute. Gives his hand towards her to shake it, "Nice to meet you Sute and....her friends.... My name is Cole. It is very kind of you to help me find the city and my friends....". It looks like Sute was restless and he tried to calm her down with his charisma and cute smile, he needs them to help him, or else he will stay in this forest forever. "My other friends are two girls, one with long pink hair and one with red, quite messy, hair. They are smarter than me, I must confess, they will probably go to the city as well and searched for each other there unless they are far away...." He shakes this thought from his head, no, they are safe, he hopes it is.
Most recent OOC posts in Tales from Elsewhere
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Sorry, I actually was a bit confused as to where the three teens were and haven't been able to post due to life throwing me some curveballs. Valencia and Michael will come your way, she'll want to see what was happening and get involved.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
It would be nice if someone could actually try to include Winsley into something ... I've posted like four times to no avail and finally just did something drastic and got her arrested. Is that enough to get you guys to actually include me in the RP?
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Mer, this is fun again!
And posts from me will be sporadic if school keeps throwing me curve balls like it has been. I love learning but good gods the crap paperwork is, well, crap.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
@EX: Kiyoko's resigned her spot, so you won't have to wait until Monday.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I'm just gonna post and move on ... I'm not going to wait any longer :/ I'm working on replying to all my RP's, and I'm just going to move on and basically say that the boy who approached Winsley just ignored her.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I'm not sure, it depends on whether or not Kyokojordie replies by Monday. You can either come up with your own role or make a replacement Rogue. You should submit your character before Monday, and I'll accept them if they're good enough and Kyoko doesn't post by Monday.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I am interested in joining the roleplay. Are there any roles that are unactive that are open to be chosen from? Or do I make an unrelated character.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I'm so sorry I haven't posted yet. I'm gonna go do that right now.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I meant 'locations in the world' I typed it when I was half asleep and auro correct changed it
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
"refuobs I'd the work"? I'm hoping that's autocorrect. I did clearly state that everyone would start around Kalistos.
And, to anyone else who wants to post, just get posting.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I'll edit it so she's just outside Kalistos it's not that big of a deal :/
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
So... Do I post now? I just went out for a family dinner, so...
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Flexar: unless I misunderstood, I thought they were supposed to start in different refuobs I'd the work or whatever wed call it. If its a problem because I was confused, I can change it to the correct location
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I certainly don't see any problems there.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
How about I start with gathering groceries for the princess then Michael found the lost girl? That sounds good?
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Kura, everyone was supposed to start off around Kalistos, which is in Akhar. If Winsley started in Ghaliar, it might take her some time to find the others.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Flexor: I'll post later today when I get home from my speech meet.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
I wanted the Earthlings to post first. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Do you want the Earthlings to post first or are you going to do an introductory post?
If you want, I can put up the first post with Alis. :)
Re: Tales from Elsewhere
Well, now that we have everyone's character, we can start. We will start with the Earthlings (as I shall call them from now on) finding the gem and being warped off. They all end up in various areas outside Kalistos, and we'll see what happens from there.
