From the darkest shadows of the Pack Den, two burning red eyes slowly came into focus and moved closer, into the early morning light that flooded the den. The large, 6ft she wolf stepped halfway out of the shadows before stopping and bending to nuzzle several rambunctious pups that romped about the den, before turning to nuzzle the young mother of the pups.

*You are looking good Clover. I'm please that you have recovered.* she sent and smiled a wolfish smile when the young she wolf bowed her head.
*Thank you Alpha.* came her soft reply soaked with pleasure and happiness at her Alpha not only speaking to her but stating her actual concern for her health.
*Your pups are strong and healthy as well as quit active.* remarked the she wolf as she nudged one that was gnawing on her tail, soft laughter echoing in her mind as Clover fluttered an apology as she tried to gather up the pups. *Do not fret so Clover. They are a delight.* sent Fox as she nuzzled Clover's shoulder before stepping over the pups and headed for the woods, her thoughts on Glendale...Clover's mate. Who had been killed by a human poacher. If she hadn't been out scouting, Clover too would have died along with the pups she carried. Being a true wolf, nether had been able to hide from the hunter nor his dog which had cornered them.

""Even now thinking of that day and answering to the howls for help, I'd gotten there to late to save Glendale. But thankfully I was able to save Clover."" she thought with a sigh as she stepped out of the den and paused to lift her head up and sniff the air before huffing slightly and stretched. Her shiny black fur glinting in the sun light as her red eyes roamed over the open plains before her, just down the incline that lead up to their den and grinned, fangs flashing as she moved forward into a trot. ""Breakfast time"" she thought as excitement grew in her at the feel dirt turning to grass under her huge paws and moved from a slight trot into a loop as she moved quicker.

Ok so that you know i cant seem to edit my characters so i cant fix BlackFox. her wolf bio that is. it was done for a rp group that has ignored me since i got on. Anyway what it says if so that she wouldn't be cast out from the other wolves and the pack because she is from a whole new world and not of theirs. bare with her and the rp character bio. thank you. Plus its the only pick that i have of a wolf with red eyes.

The massive black wolf lay on its back, yawning. He made a thud as he rolled over before slowly standing up and looking around. He had been woken by a few of the pups who had escaped their mother, but had ran back to her when Adion awoke. The big wolf slowly lumbered around the den, having to crouch slightly. He was nearly 8 feet tall, so he really didn't fit in such a small den in this form.

As Adion exited the den, he felt the sun sting his fir. In response, he changed to his fire form. While still rather large, his fire form was about 2 feet shorter than his darkness form. He was getting hungry. His mind began to race in a childish excitement with only one word spiraling through his head, HUNT.

Adion shot off into the woods, returning with a deer in his mouth in about 20 minutes.

Her senses on high alert Fox moved swiftly yet silently through the tall grasses of the Hunting Grounds, her ears erect and twitching even as she paused briefly before turning left and short forward through the grass, jaws open and leaped. Clamping her jaws shut with bout the juggler of the large deer. With a mighty jerk and yank of her head the sound of snapping bones echoed.

""Perfect. Large enough to feed!"" she thought with a grin and headed back towards the pack den, her senses once again on high alert as she moved carefully but swiftly back to the den.

Back at the den Fox dragged the large buck over to another large deer and dropped it before moving into the Den back towards the back nuzzling the cubs licking their muzzle as she did. *Clover start on the bucks while I shift and dress. Than I'll be out to help." with that said Fox vanished into the shadows.

Smiling Clover herded her cubs over towards the two large bucks and smiled as she grabbed one buck by a hind leg and pulled, straightening it out onto its back, all the while keeping an eye on her cubs which were gnawing on one of the horns. Even now after so many months with Fox's Pack, it still surprised her that the Alpha she wolf would not only help hunt for them but would also help skin and prepare the meat and dinner.

A few minutes later Fox stepped into the large den, wearing black leather with her black hair in braids atop her head as she stretched her arms up over her head and popped her neck as she moved towards the she wolf, a smile curving her lips as her 5 foot even yet muscular frame moved towards the bucks and pups. "Thank you Clover." replied Fox as she crouched down and pulled a very sharp dagger from the holster on her left hip and preceded to skin the two bucks, tossing small chunks towards the pups, while placing larger ones on slabs of smooth clean rocks used just for this purpose. "Who brought the other buck?"

*Adion, Alpha.* came Clover's mental reply.

Fox nodded as she finished her buck and started to prepare the buck Adion had brought in. Even now she was still leery of the odd yet powerful male. An odd one since he was more werewolf than shifter or garu. ""Yet he is a powerful Alpha in his own right!"" she thought, her red eyes drifting round the den before returning back to the buck and task at hand. Her hip length black braids, though in a top knot drifted down her back as she continued to toss her head, just to keep them from the blood and meat of the buck she was prepping.

Once she finished Fox rolled up the buck skin and set it to the side before she began preparing the meat. Some to be used for jerky and meat breads, while the rest were repaired for cold storage. A large hunch she kept out, thinking of making a stew with it. As she worked Fox kept her ears in tuned to the sounds around her even as she glanced up to look about every few minutes to watch the surrounding area that she considered her territory. Her red eyes never missing anything. From the birds in the sky to the pups stumbling along the floor and just outside the cave entrance where the omega family watched them.

Fox sighed as she looked at the young family and wondered why they decided to stay as the Omega's when she offered them a better living arrangement. Sighing again she smiled as she watched the young omega female play with two of the five pups that Clover gave birth to while the other three gnawed on the young male omega's tail and leg. She chuckled softly as she turned her attention back to the task at hand.

In the darkest corner of the den, a loud yawn came. The one who gave the yawn was a large black wolf, likely only being visible due to his movement. Yet he was still asleep, with blood around his muzzle when it shifted into the light, for only a long enough time for it to go back to the dark.

A motion to her right caught Fox's attention and paused in cutting a large chunk of meat into small chunks for a stew her red eyes narrowing when she caught sight of the bloody muzzle and sighed when it disappeared. "Adion..." she said softly before sighing and returned her attention to the meat, her thoughts returning to that day when Jizik and challenged the large male werewolf/wolf and lost. That had been the day Adion became her Male Alpha. "But he sleeps more than anything else." she muttered softly as she dropped the meat into a large stone pot.

"I can hear you." Adion said, obviously ready to fall right back asleep.

She didn't even pause as she glanced over at the male her red eyes aglow. "Well at least there isn't anything wrong with your ears!" she stated, a slight quirk to her lips indicating that she wasn't pissed. "Why must you sleep Adion!? Surely you can do something constructive!"

"You don't call hunting constructive?" Adion asked with a small, tired smirk.

She snorted as she dropped the last chunk of meat into the stew she was making and turned towards the back where said wolf hid in the shadows. "Hunting is a necessity not constructive." she said as she licked her fingers clean even as her ears twitched and her tail wagged slightly behind her. "Now patrolling and guarding the border is constructive." she said as she crossed her arms over her chest and cocked her head. "So again. Why do you just sleep! You took the Alpha Beta spot, though it was won through a fight that that idiot started, but you do nothing but sleep 23/7." she stated watching him with her blood red eyes that held an inner glow that seemed to be missing from the other wolves.

"I sleep because I sleep. I'm lazy, but I'm sure you have known that for some amount of time. And I never asked for this position. I just did what my father taught me, show others why you don't pick a fight with a Volf. And don't worry about attacks, everyone knows where to find me after my morning hunt." Adion commented.

Fox closed her eyes even as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. "You are a powerful Alpha Beta and yet you do nothing." she muttered as she turned back to the stew, and began to chop up vegetables to put in it. "Nothing seems to get you out of that corner unless you hunt your you gotta piss!" she growled, ears laid back. "And another thing..." she turned to glare at him, the area of the cave suddenly seemed several degrees colder. "If you do not like being the Alpha Beta than find someone who will and relinquish it! I don't need my Second being a lazy fuck how thinks he doesn't need to help!" With that she turned back to the stew and vegetables and muttered to herself in a language that consisted of snarls, growls and soft rumbles.

"Hey! I also leave to shit! And the rules of the pack, or so they were when I was put into the alpha position, was that someone had to challenge the alpha of their gender and win. One could not simply back down from the position and let another take it over. Besides, if someone managed, I believe that I would make a much happier guard." Adion replied.

The knife froze half way down, the black tail puffed out and a low growl rumbled from her as she turned and glared at the male her red eyes blazing. "Shitting, Pissing and Sleeping isn't helping! Hunting is a necessity that is need daily!" she gritted out. Slowly she laid the knife down and fully faced the shadowed corner and her lazy Alpha Beta. "By finding some one who can beat you for the position isn't hard. Asking isn't that hard. And why think being a guard would be better when you do nothing but SLEEP ALL THE GOD DAMN TIME!" she roared, her black braids suddenly whipping about her even as the pups yelped and scurried towards their mother who stood frozen as were the other wolves who watched. With gritted teeth Fox drew the energy back into her and sighed as the wind died down but her blood red eyes never left the shadowed corner. "You succeeded in winning against Crank Adion. And this flippant saying of attacks and where to find you after a morning hunt isn't cutting it. Septarchs are constantly on the hunt for our kind! The Rogues are always attacking to get to our Queen's lands. Scouts are in danger and You do nothing but sleep!" She stood ridgedly small compact frame tensed as she glared at the male in the shadows. "Why can't you Help like you are meant to!?"

"Then why hasn't anyone beat me. I have fought in over 60 challenges, and still I remain alpha." Adion responded when Fox said that finding someone better was easy. "And if you do manage to find someone who can beat me in a fight, I will gladly hand the mantle of alpha over to him. However, I will fight, whether or not I like why. It was just how I was raised and that is a hard thing to change." Adion said to finish off his little talk. Then Fox mentioned being a guard. "The pups came in at 7, less than a hour after I fell asleep. Two of them climbed on me, one pulled my tail a bit. Three of them were having play fights. After an hour, you brought back your day's kill. Next time you think that I am truly sleeping, watch my ears and nose. Nap time is when I am the most alert."

Adion then smiled. If his spot on memory of the morning wasn't convincing that there was nothing that would be. Or at least that is what Adion thought.

Fox only snarled as she glared at him. "That may be but your still a lazy as fuck!" she growled turning back to her soup preparation, anger and frustration evident in her movements even as her tail twitched behind her. "Damn mutt!" she growled lowly as she chopped and diced while her ears continued to flick and swivel atop her head.

"The strongest gain their power by combining the weak and the strong, Fox. Adaptability is a mutt's true strength. Never doubt us, and never believe the pure breads to be strong." Adion replied. His head still between his paws. He missed the days when he could just sleep and no one would care, but ever since becoming the alpha, he should only sleep once he knows the rest of the pack is asleep. He would rather be on guard duty. Adion always slept with one eye open, ever since he was born.

Her eyes narrowed even as she half turned and looked at him. "I am a mutt, Adion. In more ways than you'll ever know." she stated as she turned back around and resumed cutting veggies up a low sigh slipping from her. "Sometimes...being different is harder than people think. Ki knows that personally as do I."

Sighing she sat the knife down and closed her eyes. "Every time I see you...your always sleeping, never moving from that spot...unless you go out for personal times." she said as she looked over at him her red eyes unreadable. "Some of the pack members wonder why you do not join them on group hunts or a scout run...do you hate being here...being the Alpha male so much that you would rather sleep!?"

"I hunt alone because it presents the best opportunities, and if something goes wrong, I am the only one to blame. That is not so when you hunt with others. I learned this because before I became alpha, when no one cared that I slept, I was never invited on hunts. I only ever hunted alone. It grew on me, and has yet to let me go.

And no, I do not hate the pack, or its ways, or its place. I hate who is alpha. Me. This is something I never wanted, but something I was granted for never losing a challenge. But, I have not been able to get rid of it because of the traditions that I hold dear.

And half the time, I'm not even sleeping. Watch my ears, as when I sleep, the stay tight to my head." Adion replied. Just after, he shifted to a more comfortable position with a lazy groan.

Sighing Fox shook her head as she watched him. "And yet they believe you do not care for them or see them as companions. Respect and honor comes from them but only if you show them that you care." she said as she moved towards him only to stop before him and crouched before him her red eyes aglow with an odd inner knowledge that one so young should never have, and reached out to grasp his chin forcing his head up and his eyes open at the touch. "You may have won this position Adion, and you may hate it for your own reasons, but you are now the Alpha male and this pack needs you1 I need you. your not alone any more, yet you push everyone away and keep to yourself! Why?" she asked tightening her hold when he tried to pull back.

"Did you know that my parents died by the teeth of one of this very pack. He may long be gone, but memories and experiences form who and what you are. You want to know some more of what I am? I am the ignored who never wanted to be seen because I was never made comfortable in the same cave with anyone other than family. No one every came to me to care but those who were directly related to me. Those who did not cared little for me. It is hard to care when none have cared for. These are the things they all forget, or never know. These are the things that make me.

I was not born a leader, but a fighter. That is evident even now, as none have ever taken my position. I do not handle people well, unless my teeth point their way. This is why I do not belong here, but I made the choice of following tradition long ago. That is why I have never left.

Should a threat ever show its head in out lands, should I know, I will fight till I lay lifeless. These are the ways that my father taught me. What good is land you are not willing to defend? A phrase that has haunted me from his last breath. His final words. This is why I am what I am, who I am. You know something that is known even less than the sound of my voice." Adion responded, staring straight into Fox's eyes, letting his past, lonely and violent when it was not, were what Adion's eyes would show to those who could read them.

A sad smile curved Fox's full lips as she listened to Adion, her red eyes oddly aglow with understanding and sadness. "You are what you are, kea. Not what your father wanted nor your mother. Sometimes bad things happen for a reason and it angers us as well as makes us hateful and untrustworthy." she said softly, but there was a steeliness to it. As if she knew exactly what she spoke of.

"Queen Twilight made me her right hand and bodyguard. I was co-pack leader until Sunshine and her mate Mist betrayed me. I protected them from 20 Rogues and I got demoted and kicked from the pack, because of their lies! I know what it means to be betrayed and treated like something unnatural." she said softly, pain thick in her voice and deep in her red eyes.

"I was badly wounded Adion, but no one cared except for Bright Eyes. He helped pull the blade from my chest and stayed with me while I healed. Two weeks later, when I came out of my den, I was publicly demoted and kicked from the pack because of Sunshine and Mist. They spread rumors of me wanting to Kill my Queen and take her lands and that was a lie! In the end she learned the truth and banished them from the pack!"

Shifting slightly her head tilted to the right ever so much as she watched him, her eyes slightly clouded. "It hurt to hear what they said after I saved their lives but in the end I received my status back and asked the Queen if I could create a pack to protect her lands and she said yes. Bright Eyes and a few others followed me and weeks later I won Alpha status from the Alpha of this pack! I am not perfect Adion but I am trying! Bright Eyes would have been my mate and Alpha male if he hadn't been killed by a Rogue Vampire! I am alone and that isn't how a leader should be. I need your help Adion. Specially now more than ever!" she said watching him even as her fingers scratched just under his jaw.

Adion was going to give some form of argument. Was. The moment that the fingers began scratching under his chin, Adion followed the pleasure without reason. It was a weakness that Adion did his best to hide, but when you live very close to people, all is shown.

As the pleasure shot through his body, Adion remembered his first hunt. His father crouched behind some weeds across the feeding field of his prey. The only reason that Adion and his father were alone was due to the fact that Adion overslept the "training hunt." Not like he cared. He preferred his father's company over all of the packs.

His father was by no means a small wolf. No, Adion's father is the source of his size, and his love of the hunt. And possibly his laziness during the day. If there was one other thing Adion's father was, it was outspoken. He guided his life with values that set the premise for all decisions so that he would never do wrong in his mind.

Either way, the darkening skies gave way to a new kind of hunt. One where eyes are only a weakness, and sound and scent are your guides. Perfect. As the deer, feeling invincible in the decaying light, fed, Adion moved into position. With a single, smooth motion, Adion's natural predator, while only about 1 foot tall, struck his prey right in the neck, bringing it down with a single strike.
