Introduction
-=Background=-
In the year 2014, an unknown infection started spreading worldwide, turning people into mindless animalistic cannibals that predated on non-infected humans. Chaos descended in every nations and despite efforts to get the infection under control, it ravaged nations and decimated the human populace. Scientists were stumped by the infection's origin to the point where they almost believe that its of supernatural causes. As of 2015, the world has been divided into different zones based on the level of infection.
The Red Zones are places with the highest level of infection as well as threat level. Most if not all of the people in these zones are either dead or infected. After several investigations, reports of "unusual" infected were reported in these areas, said to possess qualities that defy our current understanding of physiology. These Red Zones grow every day as more and more people get infected. The Yellow Zones contain most of the remaining human populace but these areas also have infected people in them though not as dense, numerous, and diverse as those in the Red Zones. Civil war and anarchy are common in these areas so seeing bandits and looters are not uncommon. There are some survivors who have setup shelters here, awaiting rescue from the people in the blue zones. The Blue Zones are humanity's last sanctuary from the infected. These areas are run by the Global Infection Eradication Initiative (GIEI) as well as a part of the government that once existed in the area. State of the art defenses are used to keep the infected away from Blue Zones and every once in a while, the GIEI conducts rescue efforts to yellow zones as well as investigations on Red Zones to further understand the infection.

The roleplay is set on the fictional town of Ashcroft located somewhere in Central United States in the year 2015. The town is smack dab in the middle of a yellow zone and a red zone and has some of the most dangerous infected activity recorded. There are several points of interests in this town but for a survivor it is St. Claire's Church, the only remaining hospitable safe house for the next 50 kilometers. The shelter is run by a local deacon, Christoper Hale, a kind and ever pious men who opens the church doors for any survivors in need. Deacon Hale is also responsible for the "reclamation effort" for the town in order to expand their base of operations and assist more survivors. This church also serves as a hub for the rescue missions done by the GIEI.
The second point of interest is the Town Square which is occupied by a gang of bandits, The Steel Wolves. They are very territorial of their occupation and refuse any assistance from both Deacon Hale as well as the GIEI. They also cause spme trouble for the survivors at the church since they are responsible for stealing some the supplies given to the Deacon every now and then by the GIEI.
The last point of interest is the slum area of Ashcroft. On the first days of the infection, this part of Ashcroft was the first to be quarantined and many believed that it is the point of origin for the infection in Central USA. This area is filled with far more vicious forms of the infected as well as several "special cases" which the GIEI is currently investigating. Heavy barricades are setup to keep anything or anyone from coming out of the slums though some of them were able to escape through the sewers.
-=The Infection=-
I. Possible Origin
Though no hard evidence exists, scientists speculate that the infection did not originate from our world. They believe that the infection originated in Colorado on July 06, 2014. A meteor shower was reported on that night in Colorado and they think that the bacteria that causes the infection hitched a ride from these meteors. How the first infected came to be is an even bigger mystery since the infection's primary mode of transmission is through bites and body fluids. One popular theory is that one of the meteors have managed to land to the ground in one piece and several people may have come to investigate it, exposing them to the bacteria's purest form from the meteor and it eventually mutated once it was inside a human body. The government as well as the health department had poor management of the situation which caused the infection to spread worldwide. Several infected people were able to flee to different countries before the government was even aware of the infection's existence.
One interesting fact about the infection is that it only seems to affect mammals except for rodents. Birds, Fish, Reptiles, Amphibians and other animal species are completely immune to the infection. Scientists are still researching why this is so and hopefully use it in the search for a cure.
Please take note that these are only theories and no concrete evidence has been obtained as of today since investigating the Colorado area is nigh impossible due to high infected numbers.
II. Modes of Transmission
1. Exchange of certain body fluids. This includes blood, saliva, and semen.
2. Bites from an infected.
3. Exposure of open wounds to an infected's body fluid.
4. Some mutated infected are able to transmit the disease through different means. They will be further explained once these infected are encountered in the RP.
III. Signs and Symptoms
1. High Fever accompanied by convulsions.
2. Change of eye color to milky white. This only happens if the patient has completely succumbed to the infection.
3. Uncharacteristic violent behavior and twitches.
4. Swollen and raised blood vessels which can be seen on the patient's skin.
IV. Research and Treatment
As of now, a cure or a vaccine has yet to be developed for the infection. Even powerful antibiotics are unable to fight off the bacteria that causes the infection. However, a recent breakthrough by the GIEI's Research and Development team can slow down the infection to an extent. They developed a suppressant drug called "Daylight" that inhibits the increase of the infection's bacteria for 40-48 hours. Sadly, creating the drug is no easy task and only a limited amount is supplied to the masses. They are not meant to suppress the infection forever... only to give the user enough time to prepare for the inevitable.
Also, a study conducted by the GIEI revealed that different blood types have different reactions to the infection.
TYPE A+/- = Seems to be the best breeding ground for the infection. Patients with this blood type will most likely turn instantly.
TYPE B+ = Somewhat resistant to the infection. Patients with this blood type can expect to turn within 2-3 hours.
TYPE B- = More resistant to infection than B+. Patient may turn after 12-24 hours depending on health before the infection.
TYPE AB+/- = Has the same infection rate as a Type A and are likely candidates for further mutation.
TYPE O+ = Some patients with this blood type may not turn but can still carry the infection in their blood. Otherwise, they have the same infection rate as B-.
TYPE O- = Some patients with this blood type are completely immune to infection. Otherwise they have the same infection rate as B-.
-=The Infected=-
I. Who can be infected?
The infection is only able to affect mammals, rendering other animal species completely immune to it. Once the infection enters the body of an animal other than a human, it dies off within 3 seconds inside the animal's bloodstream. According to a study made by GIEI, 80% of all known infected are humans while the remaining 20% are mostly domesticated animals (cats, dogs, etc). Surprisingly enough rodents also seem to be immune to the virus.
II. General Infected Behavior
Once a creature succumbs to the infection they lose most of their mental functions, retaining only motor functions, sense of touch, sense of hearing, vision and basic survival instinct (feeding and breathing). Self will, memories, and conscience are completely wiped off of an infected's mind once they turn. Somehow, the infection is also able to command its host to attack non-infected individuals, possibly as a mechanism for propagation. The infected has also been observed to have increased aggression and according to the GIEI, this is because the infection somehow causes the body to produce abnormal levels of adrenaline. All infected are generally carnivorous, preferring to eat out of corpses of their victims but any kind of meat will suffice their diet.
When undisturbed the infected usually walk around aimlessly, moaning and gasping every now and then. Their aggression is triggered by any form of noise. Once they hear noise, they will quickly head to the source of the noise and after sensing that a prey is nearby, they will become much more aggressive. They lack any form of self preservation and will run head on to their prey even if the path is paved with potentially deadly obstacles.
III. How do you kill an infected?
The primary way of completely killing an infected is by destroying their nervous system; primarily the brain or the spinal cord. This is usually accomplished by shooting them in the head with guns, decapitation, or heavy trauma with a blunt weapon. Burning them will only work if the brain or spinal cord sustains enough damage from it. Electrocution is also an effective way of dealing with the infected as it messes with the nervous system along with damaging their brain. The infected are also affected by toxins to some degree, neurotoxins being the most effective. Explosives are good for crowd control but they do not guarantee the death of every infected due to their lack of precision.
A more interesting way of killing zombies is through the use of GIEI's suppressant drug: Daylight. When an infected gets one in his/her bloodstream, it causes violent convulsions similar to epilepsy and if applied in heavy doses, it can eventually kill an infected.
IV. Mutation
Infected with type AB blood are more susceptible to further mutation after succumbing to the infection. They could transform into a more grotesque form and obtaining a "special ability" along with it. The GIEI currently has classified 2 mutated infected but they believe that there are more types of mutation that are still undiscovered.
a. The Plague Bringer - This infected has developed a large hump on its back composed of multiple boil like lesions with a thick yellow fluid inside of them. The fluid in the lesions seem to be a mutated form of the infection that can be transmitted through mere skin contact. The plaguebringer slowly crawls on all fours, possibly due to the weight of its hump and has the ability to vomit the liquid in its pustules. When threatened or near death, the plaguebringer has a sort of self-destruct mechanism causing the hump on its back to explode violently to cover anyone with its infectious liquid.
b. Big Tim/Big Berta - For some reason the infection has caused this subject's body to produce more muscle mass, turning it into a muscular monstrosity. It has an enlarge torso and an even larger pair of arms and hands. Its hands can easily wrap around a human and crush them with little effort. It was believed that only men are susceptible to this kind of mutation but was proven otherwise by the GIEI.
c. The Beast- A zombie that gains claws and many toothed mouths all over it's body, with slightly longer tongues that may wrap around a leg and drag you into a random mouth. Like its namesake, it has beast-like strength, agility, and viciousness. Scientists believe that the Beast may not just be a single evolved infected but multiple ones as evidenced by its numerous mouths.
-=Roles=-
There are several roles and alliances in this roleplay. They are:
[St. Claire's Church Survivors]
a. Deacon Christoper Hale - (GK061490) - A kind pious man who is currently the leader of the survivors operating St. Claire's church. He has good ties with the GIEI and has managed to convince them to send rescue every 6 months for the survivors staying at St. Claire's as well as provide them with supplies. His relationship with the Steel Wolves is somewhat neutral even though the bandits were known to kill off some of his "brothers and sisters".
b. St. Claire Survivors - (CleverCleverFox)
c. The Turncoat - A bandit from the Steel Wolves in the guise of a survivor at St. Claire's. He is responsible for leaking information about the location of supply stacks and other insider information about the operation of St. Claire to his gang.
[The Steel Wolves]
a. Gang Leader - (Scarlet Bullets) - A man who has abandoned the human law and self-enforced the law of the jungle in Ashcroft. His men had taken over the Town Square area of Ashcroft including City Hall. His men are considerable better armed than those at St. Claire's. He doesn't exactly spite the survivors in the church and even enforces punishment to his men if one of the survivors from St Claire's is killed off in one of their operations.
b. The Anarchist - One of the gang leader's underlings who does not believe in his leadership. He believes that they would be better off if they slaughtered the people in St. Claire's and cleaned off their supplies. He is currently trying to start an uprising to bring down the current gang leader and take over.
c. Other gang members - (TwilixDragon, LittlexVamp, Starryskies)
[The Wayward]
a. Ordinary Survivors - (AthenaUndying, The Illusionist, smrtazz13) - Survivors who have found themselves in the city of Ashcroft by chance. Their actions will determine if they will side with the survivors at St. Claire's, with The Steel Wolves gang, or fend for themselves.

St. Claire's Church - 9:00 AM
"...give us today your daily bread and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Do not bring us to the test but deliver us from evil, Amen."
Christopher made a sign of the cross after finishing his morning prayers before standing up from his kneeling position in front of the altar. It has been and always will be a practice for him to pray to the Almighty One for guidance, forgiveness, and gratitude for allowing them to see another morning. Unfortunately for the deacon, not all of the survivors shared his trust to the Lord and felt that prayers were unnecessary. A majority of them abandoned the concept of God, thinking that if there was one he wouldn't have plunged the world into this catastrophe or that he has abandoned his people. Christopher does not believe that was the case... this was just a test for humanity and he was certain that God will not abandon them. In any case, he respects the view of his fellow survivors and continues to treat them with kindness and equality despite their differing views.
After concluding his prayers, Christopher went about the task of consulting the survivors to see if anything was amiss among them. Fortunately, most of them were okay for now though there were those who were asking for flu medicine. They have been struggling with the disease for a couple of weeks now and even the deacon had experienced it firsthand. Flu traveled easily in such confined living conditions so when someone had it, everyone else will soon enough. Medicine was running low too and they still had a week to wait before the GIEI delivers their supply of necessities once more... assuming that it will not be delayed. An alternative would be searching the hospital and pharmacy nearby but their actions were limited due to the threat far deadlier than the infected; the Steel Wolves.
A few months ago, they were in constant attack from the Steel Wolves, their food and supplies being extorted and survivors from St. Claire's being abducted and killed out of pure amusement. It was certainly hard times for the survivors but all of the sudden, the attacks have stopped and they enjoyed a month free from any Steel Wolves activity and then another, and then another. They never let their guard down though even if the wolves remain silent and some of the survivors started arming themselves in case such a scenario happens again, much to Christopher's chagrin. He hated violence and bloodshed even if it meant survival but he certainly wouldn't impose those principles to the other survivors since this was a harsh world that had no room for such mellow views.
"I am terribly sorry but we are in a shortage of flu medicine right now. We do have some Vitamin C supplements. It will have to do for now." replied Christopher to one of the survivors asking for medication.
With his rounds on the ground floor done, he ascended into the belfry where Pablo was keeping watch. He was hoping that he had managed to spot new survivors amidst the ruined city. They have not seen one for quite some time now.
"Have you good news for us, Pablo?" asked the deacon.
"Unfortunately no, Brother Hale. The streets have remained silent for a while now. No infected, no survivors, no wolves." replied Pablo.
"I see." uttered Christopher in a slightly disappointed tone. "In that case, you may take a break Pablo. Get something to eat downstairs and sleep."
"Thank you brother." nodded Pablo before heading downstairs.
Christopher remained in the belfry, staring out into the desolate expanse that was Ashcroft, hoping to see any sign of life.

"That a girl, get 'em Suzy," she said with a crazed laugh. "Oh great, now I'm talking to a sword." She finished of two more zombies in a quick motion and lit one of her homemade molotovs. She threw it at an oncoming group of about five infected.
"Take that!" She laughed one more time and turned around to see that she was coming onto a city. "Finally," she thought to herself. "Civilization."
She had been traveling for what seemed like days on a long, deserted road. There were no buildings, no shelters, no people. Only the nasty, disease-ridden creatures that were once human beings. The sight of the small cluster of buildings excited her. Maybe there would be more food for her to scavenge. And some clean clothes too. Maybe there could even be more survivors! She laughed at that last idea. She didn't feel like getting her hopes up, again. She hadn't seen any other living person since the start of the infection.
She ran into a something hard and cursed at it. Then, squinting through the faded morning light, she made out the word Ashcroft. She saw another sign that said Acacia Street. She contemplated venturing further into the town, but weariness won the long fought battle at the sight of the large building to her left. All the adrenaline that she had been running on was drained from her body, so she went to the door, carefully watching for any signs of movement. When she decided the building was safe, she built a fire and settled down to a lovely dinner of mildly cooked spinach, then shut her eyes and curled up under her thin blanket, dreaming of times long past and hopes for what would come to her in the future.

One might wonder just why she was out there by herself. What was she looking for? Why by herself?
Her answers?
She liked to be alone, she wasn't looking for anything, and she was taking a walk.
Of course, people would stare at her like she was crazy, and perhaps she was. After all, she had witnessed almost everyone close to her, besides Dante, slowly become one of these flesh-craving brainless creatures dubed "zombies". She sighed, remembering smipler, happier times.

David had heard some gunfire not too long ago and he hoped that meant survivors, though he wouldn't put it past himself that the long on edge days had been getting to him and he had imagined the whole thing in order to keep his sanity. It was something he had to check out though, it was somewhere in the direction of the town square and that was where he was going to head, he had decided last night. He put the knife back in the sheath on his side and clasped it in, to make sure it wouldn't fall out if he had to run and jump his way to safety, and then began to walk in the direction of the town square deeper into the city. He hoped that someone would be alive, then again just because someone was alive didn't mean he would be welcomed, that was another thing he had to be careful of. For now he was on guard, not knowing where exactly the survivors if any would be and trying to avoid detection of any infected that might be around, sticking close to the buildings to not be so obvious to the flesh eaters.

Thatβs when the dream changed.
Her grandfather wouldnβt meet her eyes, nor would he even look at her. His eyes looked clouded over and his back was hunched over his fishing pole. Ceelyβs smiled dropped into one of shock and she backed away. Her grandfather turned his head towards her, his mouth was open showcasing off his new set of razor sharp teeth. His skin was pale gray and he looked deranged as he slowly approached young Ceely. Ceely looked around for a way to escape, but they were in the middle of the lake and she couldnβt swim. Just then her grandfather lunged at her and she let out a blood curdling scream.
Ceely awoke screaming and she quickly sat upright in the pew. Other survivors around her looked over at her; some even held their guns up at her. She gave everyone a shaky grin and swung her legs off the pew. βSorryβ¦ Bad dreamβ¦β she muttered out. Everyone then returned to what they were doing after watching her for a few minutes. Ceely resisted the urge to cry and wiped at her eyes. Every time she slept; that same thing happened.

In the shadow of The Big Fish, Andrew surveyed the surrounding area. It had been about an hour and half since he had wandered into the small town of Ashcroft. The place was crawling with infected and he doubted he'd find anyone alive. With a heavy sigh Andrew adjusted the strap for his helmet and tightened the paint mask to his face. His ears caught the sound of shuffiling feet approaching from behind, and without wasting a moment he ducked behind a dumpster. He breathed silently and slowly as he readied his crowbar to be used to defend himself and listened, waiting for the inevitable attack. Luckily however the infected persons stopped in the openining of the alleyway and looked around. The strong stench of trash and mildew covered that of the survivor's so when it did not see Andrew, it let out a soft groan before walking off down the street.
Andrew breathed a silent sigh of relief before standing and looking over his shoulder. This town seemed like it wasn't worth the trouble, if he could he'd just leave now and head east. Unfortunately however he had no choice, his supplies we're running low and if he ever wanted to get someplace safe he'd need to gather some more. Suddenly a gunshot rings through the air. Andrew's head snaps in the direction of the source. It would appear there are other survivors in the town. His first reaction is to want to head in the direction of gunfire in hopes of finding someone. But that thought is quickly expelled from his mind. He wouldn't be the only thing attracted to the shot. As he watched the infected on the street shuffle off towards the sound of the gunshot Andrew looked towards the north end of the street. The was a park that ran parallel with the small street, the park seemed like a waste of time and overall bad idea. At the end of the road however there was what seemed to be a small motel.
"We have a winner..." He quietly muttered to himself as he set off towards the motel, making sure to stay quiet and in the shadows.

Calming himself and preparing for the worst, Christopher headed down the belfry and asked one of the other survivors to keep watch up above while he checked out the source of the scream. Descending to the mass hall, he noticed that the people were surprisingly calm as if nothing happened... maybe nothing did? Approaching Elena, a kind woman in her 50s who was tasked with nursing injured and ill survivors, the deacon asked for the source of the scream.
"I heard a scream. Is everything okay?"
"Oh yes, it is just young Ceely. She's probably had a nightmare, the poor dear." replied Elena.
"I see. Thank you, Elena. I'll go see if she's okay."
With that, he asked around where the young girl was and he was pointed to one of the corner pews where Ceely was sitting, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. He slowly made his way to the girl, making sure that she could easily see him in front of her so as to not surprise the already shaky girl. "Are you okay, Ceely? I heard you scream just a while ago" asked Christopher, a concerned look in his face. She was certainly not the first to have a rude awakening like this. Each and every one of these survivors have a traumatizing story to tell and nightmares like this seems to stem from that trauma. As for Ceely though, she seems to have it harder than the others when it comes to these nightmares.
Christopher wished he could do more for her as well as everyone else going through this kind of thing. Time is the best way to heal wounds like this but he can't help but wonder if that was enough.

She pulled at her shirt so it covered up her bruised shoulder, one of her hands held her pistol as if it was the one thing keeping her alive. Ceely couldnβt meet his gaze; she was too afraid of crying in front of him.β Does anyone need any cheering up Mr. Hale?β She asked in an almost childlike voice. Again, she wiped at her eyes before looking up at him; forcing a fake cheery smile.

She bolted up and smoldered the glowing embers of her dying fire. She stuffed everything into her backpack, threw Suzy on her back, and shoved her pistol in it's case at her hip. "I have to be careful," she thought. "The gunman could be crazy, and I don't feel like getting shot in the face after coming this far." She stepped outside into the light of dawn and took a deep breath of stale, stagnant air full of death.
She first went to a gas station that was across from where she was staying (an old GIEI outpost, she discovered) only to find that it was almost empty, except for some cans of asparagus and a couple bottles of water hidden away. She grabbed it all as well as another lighter she found and shoved it into her backpack before leaving through the back and cutting through a few backyards of houses towards what appeared to be a park. She hoped more than anything that she could meet up with the gunman. Maybe form an alliance. She hated being alone.

The steel wolfs, a gang of of survivors led by Dante Stronghold as the dictator. Or, if anyone asked what government it was that's what he would say and then give them a glare before walking away. With this, the camp site, or stronghold was the town hall, a house, the gas station, and with the help of the GIEI's barricade, that was there's too. Or at least they thought it was there's. Using the secure barricade, they had gathered many junk, scrap, wood, barb wire, and the nail and hammer making the own barricade on the streets. Before this they hid in town hall. Now, they have tents, a watch tower completed only a few days ago, and the houses were barricade as well. This kept the infected form getting inside the space, with guards on duty if any even tried to break though they be shot on sight. With each man made junk wall, there would be a sign saying, "Expect no kindness here."
With that said, the gang members, once simple, kind survivors had changed. Turned into selfish, cruel men and women only respecting the leader and sometimes each other. At this point, there was a guard in the new watch tower, not very tall though, and two per junk wall. None stayed by the military' barricade, it was made well all ready. The rest were either inside the safe zone working. Dante, in city hall, sat in the mayor's chair and looked though some papers of names and activity being on there gang. Stuff like the health of his members, spare notes, and any planning on how the day should go by. He was interrupted in his silent work by one of his more loud mouth member's walking in and barking complaints at him. "Yo Dante, da hell we going to do about the damn food? You haven't sent anyone out for two days! Were gettin low here man!"
Dante glared at him and leaned back in his chair, "All right, Jeff was it? Okay, you get the food today. You, and only you, don't come back unless you have enough to feed everyone for one day."
Jeff laughed then slammed his fist on the desk, "Listen you prick! I don't need this shit. I was just tell-"
"Go, or get hung!" yelled Dante, two more wolfs walked in and eyed Jeff in warning. Both holding a baseball bats. Jeff gasped, "You gotta be kidding..."
Sadly he was not. Dante nodded his head an the two wolfs beat Jeff to the ground then dragged him out of the building and thrown him out of the safe zone. The other member's either laughed or were dead silent. It was common for Dante to do something like that, but know gave him a reason to do anything like that for sometime. Dante sighed and left his hall and went to his people, they waved then went back to what they were doing. The two baseball bat wolf's returned to him.
"Gather two more member's and go scavenging past the barricade." he said to them. They nodded and did as he was told.
Dante's gang had been doing less and less activity over the weeks. Leaning farther and farther away form the church and more past the military's barricade. It was getting harder to find food and other supplies. Plus, the member's still questioned his method about the church's survivors but never said it to him directly. Only his most loyal would tell him these news. He sighed walking though the camps, then walked over to the watch tower and yelled up at the guard, "Have you seen anything today?"
There was no reply, so Dante sighed, "Has Rivera came back yet?" This time the guard said, "No." Then went back to looking down the street, he took a shot at a zombie with his hunting rifle, blasting off it's head. Dante smiled at the gunshot, knowing he only shot when he knew he killed something. Dante sat by a nearby chair and sighed. Trying to relax about his worries and to listen to any of his gang member's who had to speak to him. Hopefully not like Jeff.

Shizel sighed to herself, she was just being stupid, it was obvious she was just another gang member and even as such, without the crush she had she was still a loyal member of the gang and as such would do whatever was needed of her. Of course she did want to impress Dante and as such she walked over to him soon after he sat down. She was wearing her usual attire and had her weapons, a scoped sniper rifle on her back and a tactical knife on her belt. "Dante, I couldn't help but overhear you, is there anything I can do to help sir?" she asked. She was a beautiful woman if you looked at her closely, her tomboyish nature easily ignored if you looked at the curves on her body. Then again she didn't think Dante would fall for her feminine charm anytime soon. It was okay though, as long as she didn't end up like one of the others she was fine, besides it was her crush and hers only, she knew that.
Of course as she stood there waiting her eyes scanned their leader, though she quickly averted them to the walls as she waited for orders. Not trying to be disrespectful of course and she tried to make it obvious she wasn't trying to be by being casual and looking at the watch tower and such, but mainly because every time she looked at him directly in the eyes she couldn't hold back a blush. She tried to look back at him but didn't look at him directly but more to at his mouth, waiting for an answer of some sort, even if it be for her to leave him alone and get back to doing something else. Honestly she wasn't sure what to expect, he had been in a bad mood apparently, throwing a member out and all.

He all ready had scavengers out, some wolfs were adding on to the barricades, the guards looked fine... Some asleep in there tent, others socializing, two in a fist fight. No biggy it happens. He sighed then looked back at her. He remembered in the city hall was all his information of activity. Now it was completely out of his head. Still, Shizel was is best men, he felt a but sympathetic to let her have the day off but that would not be a good decision for a leader. It was bad enough that he let his feelings get in the way for his sister, family comes first. Now to get his head wrapped up in relationships... No... Not needed. He stood up from his chair.
"No need to call me sir, Shizel, I know you respect me." he smiled slightly then continued on.
"I don't see anything needed done in the camp, but it's time to start activity on the outside. Why don't you help me out with organizing my office. Then we can start sending out more scavenging teams once everyone is organized again." he didn't bother for her response, so he began to walk back to the city hall, expecting her to follow.
It was indeed a stressful job now now that he was the only one left to lead. He personally thought that no one else could lead this group. He always thought he could have an well organized, happy government, instead it was a heartless gang. At least, that's what he thought being that every time he went out to study his members someone would trail him off. Either way he did not dread on it, he knew that haft the people would leave him in a heartbeat if he didn't know what he was doing so he had to keep some of his loyal wolf interested. He didn't want to, but he turned his head back to see if Shizel was still following, feeling a bit lonely without his sister, she was the next best thing at this point.

So selfless... Ceely had no doubt earned the deacon's respect due to her desire to cheer up the other survivors despite the fact that she was in despair. It was very admirable and made the deacon more inspired into helping her get over her nightmare or at the very least bring a smile to her lips.
"Perhaps a breath of fresh air will do just the thing." he suggested.
There was plenty of people patrolling around to spot danger and besides, they've already finished constructing the barricade to keep out the infected from entering the church grounds. Unlike the Steel Wolves who had a more complex and secure base defenses, theirs were simple and crude. Several steel fences and walls that they salvaged from the GIEI outpost were put up into a wall that encircled the church, a fraction of the park, and half of the cemetery. The Johnson's home is used as an outpost for scouts to keep watch of any danger coming from the northwest part of town while a mausoleum in the cemetery served the same purpose for the south. Their security was considerably tighter on that area since the Steel Wolves are far more dangerous than the infected.
"Come. It is too bright of a morning to be holed up here. Let us seize this beautiful day." and with that, the deacon made his way to the front doors of the church and made his way to the streets, nodding at the other survivors he came across.
Christopher only knew one thing that could heal Ceely's scarred heart and psyche and that was someone who can replace the void left by his grandparents. A close friend perhaps that would be able to chase the gloom and pain brought by this ruthless world and make memories that she'll cherish. It would be easy for Ceely since she was a friendly face but he was unsure if the girl was ready to open herself up and let another person into her life.
Looking up into the surprisingly blue sky, he let out a grateful sigh before looking back to check if Ceely had followed.

A soft crack rings through the empty halls of the motel as Andrew's crowbar makes short work of the lock on the kitchen door. Closing the door behind him he places a nearby chair under the handle at an angle to form a makeshift barrier. It would at least buy him a moment or two if nothing else if something were to try and get in. With a quick but thorough scan of the large kitchen he found it was empty of life, save for a few rodents or insects. Without wasting anymore time he searches through the cabniets and drawers. He search only rewards him with a few canned food items, a bottle of water, and a flashlight. Stuffing the food and water into his pack He rubbed his head with a sigh. He had a feeling that he was over looking something... He looked around again, with the aid of the flashlight he discovers that in the corner of the kitchen there is another door marked "Pantry". He stands infront of the door and tries to pull it open, only to find it has been securly locked with a heavy padlock. This gave Andrew reason to smile. Most survivors would be in too much of a rush to bother with the heavy lock and go off in search of an easier find. Andrew however, was skilled when it came to mechanical knowledge. With the use of his crowbar and his knowledge of leverage, Andrew easily broke the lock off with some effort.
Inside there were mostly perishables that had rotted away, giving Andrew a reason to be thankful he was wearing his paint mask. It wasn't on the same level of a gas mask but it kept him from inhaling dangerous fumes and filtered most of the horrid smell. Although the drawback was it made his face incredibly hot, but he had learned to deal with the trade off. rummaging through the Pantry he found more canned food items like fruits and vegetables, even a couple cans of tuna, a godsend. Although the true god send would be the pack of bottled water in the far corner. Wasting no time he quickly filled his bag with as much as he could carrybefore closing the doorbehind him. There was still alot of useful supplies in there, maybe he could use the knowledge of the location of the food cache as a bargaining chip.
Making a quick mental note before leaving the kitchen Andrew decides to climb up the stairs to see if the main lobby down the hall has anything that can be of use. Making sure to stay as quiet as possible he slowlys creeps down the hallway, keeping his back pressed against the wall as he moves. his hand goes to the USP on his waist tucked into his belt. He pulls the pistol out and puts the crowbar on his belt and lets it hang for a moment. He quickly removes the suppressor forthe pistol from one of the pouchesof the leather bandoiler on his waist and attaches it to the barrel of the firearm. When he finished this act quickly he grabbed the crowbar andput it securly into his belt, then pulled the six inch survival knife from his pocket and flipped it open. He held thepistolout in front of him and aimed further down the hall as he brought his knife under the wrist of his gun hand so that the blade would point in the same direction as the pistol.
Making sure to check behind him occasionally Andrew quickly arrived in the lobby where to his great luck, he found noone and no infected waiting for him. He breathed a sigh of relief before hopping over the front desk tosearch foranything of use. The only thing he could find was a town map. The map was marked up with red ink that described some locations. One circled location looked likea church, next to the mark the words "Pansy survivor outpost" were scribbled. The other mark circled what seemed tobe the Town square and Hall. "Steel Wolves, Kick ass!" Was found next to this one. Looking closer at the map he foundthat his location inside the motel was not far from the "Steel Wolves" mark, in fact it looked like five minute walking distance. He tucked the map away in his front vest pocket looking to his right as he did so. He noticed that lying at his feet was the corpse of a young man, dressed in what seemed to be athletic gear. The corpse was still clutching a small handgun which Andrew picked up. He looked over the firearm and smiled.
"Hey this is a forty five.... shame you won't be needing it."
He quietly whispered to the corpse as he ejected the magazine and placed the ammo in one of his pouches. He put the small handgun in his pocket, another bargaining chip, before taking another two clips of .45 caliber rounds off the corpse and hopping over the main desk. As he exited the Motel, now choosing to have his crowbar readied as his weapon, he formulated a plan. He'd quietly make his way to this "Steel Wolves" place, and use the location of the food cache as leverage for a place to sleep and information. then he'd make his way to the church we're he'd use the handgun for more information, possibly more supplies, and then leave this town behind him.
Andrew smiled to himself, it seemed like this town was turning out tobe worth the trouble after all. His thoughts ceased as he happened across a makeshift barricade. He smirked at the sign; "Expect no Kindness Here." Good. He thought. That sort of thing just gets a man killed. He walked along the perimeter, making sure to keep an eye out for infected until he heard a man's shout.
"Hey you, don't move or I'll shoot you right through your eye!" Came the voice.
Andrew looked up to see a small guard tower, manned by a guy with a rifle. Andrew raised his arms above his head and smirked.
"My eye?" He called out in reply, keeping an ear out for infected. "Damn, you must be some special forces sniper or something." Andrew smirked behind the plastic of the paint mask. "I don't want to mess with you, you must be the leader of those Steel Wolves I heard about. Some kick ass gang that don't take shit from nobody?"
"That's Damn right!" Came the rifleman's response. "Well, except the leader part, I aint the leader."
"You're not?" Andrew asked quizzically. "Hard to imagine a man as capable as yourself aint the leader. Anyway since you aren't the leader,do you mind fetching him for me, I have some information he might want."
The rifleman grumbled to himself for a moment as he thought. "Grr....Wait there! Don't try and get in or we'll shoot you!"
"You have my word." Andrew smirked. "But do hurry will you, not exactly safe out here." Andrew looked around and lowered his arms intohis ready posistion as he waited for the rifleman to return.

Shizel followed him without questioning though, the military had done a lot of things such as teaching her that you never questioned a superior because those who did usually got the short end later at a worse time. As they walked Shizel took a chance to look around once more at all of the others in the camp, two guys fighting caught her attention as they walked away and she knew them, a couple of punks who hadn't been here too long and liked the idea of being in a gang... One thing that did cross her mind besides the dislike for such people was that they sucked as close quarters combat, their punches not even straight but all hooked like amateurs. Then again she was probably one of the few with serious close quarters training in this camp. It mattered not, it wasn't a serious fight from what she could tell, if it was about something serious she doubted fists would be the end of it.
Her interested faded soon enough and she turned her head just in time to see Dante look back at her and she just continued to follow right behind him, wondering if he had expected her to say something. Not that she would mind small talk but she didn't know what to say to him, she had only ever talked to him in the capacity of the gang and things that concerned the gang, not that she didn't have questions. One of the biggest questions on her mind was what Rivera was to him but she didn't dare ask him, it was not her business and she didn't want to risk enraging him. Instead she just looked at him when he turned and continued to follow, convinced he just turned to make sure she had understood that she was expected to come with him and help organize his office and not wandering off somewhere else.

The man shrugged, looking just as bored as she did. Sighing, she made her way inside, throwing her weaponry in her room. She pulled the small silver necklace out of her pocket. It was a small metal wolf, perfect. She owndered about how in the world she got so lucky as to find something like this. On the back of the wolf, you could just barely make out the "made in china - stainless steel" inscription. A steel Wolf for the pack leader. She smiled, and began walking around, searching for her brother.
She found him, barricaded under a pile of papers with Shizel in his office. Raising an eyebrow at the mess, she nodded to the other girl, and leade up against the door. "What the hell happened in here, a tornado?"

It was at that moment a scrapping sound was heard behind him and he turned just in time to roll away from a zombie who had lunged at him. He snarled and stood up taking a few steps forward and drawing the machete from its holster before jumping forward and sinking the blade into the head of the zombie, a wicked crack and sickening sound before the creature fell down dead. Just like the last kill he bent down and wiped the blade off on the kills clothing before putting it back in its sheath. With that taken care of he turned back around looking at the wall again, of course this time his ears a bit more open just in case, he had been slightly lucky that he heard that last one, just one mistake would probably be the end of him, all those he had traveled with or met while here had died form a bit or scratch, one from drinking the blood on accident, he was not about to die like that.
With that thought in mind he was ready to try and get off of the street and somewhere he could take a small rest and right now, whether he was welcomed or not, it seemed like that man made wall was his best bet. David reached into a small backpack he had on and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, the bag full of them since he had found a store stocked full but looked of most everything else. He put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it, taking a deep drag before walking forward straight towards the wall, it wasn't like he had a better way to go about the situation. He approached the wall slowly, thinking someone would notice him eventually and they did. A man in a tower looked at him but ran off, apparently going to warn their leader or whoever. David just stood there, no weapon out and no attempt to jump the fence, he would see how this played out.

"Hot damn... Sunhigh already?" She grummbled, using the classic time from her Warrior cat books, crawling from her box. Giving a streatch, the girl gave a content sigh as she felt all of her vertabrea snap into place.
"I wonder where everyone is this morning..." She sniffed, her nose working furiously to see if she could smell any thing cooking. All she could smell, as usual, was the rotting of corpses and the stink the heat was giving off. Placing a hand on her collar she smiled gleefully. "C'mon, Drea, lets find everyone else." She cooed, as if talking to a pet. Lowering herself to her knees she reached back into her box and pulled out a few of her knifes, and a shot-gun she had collected off a dead cop the other day. Sticking the items in her pockets she streatched once more and made her way down the streets, a soft hum in her throat.
A soft yelp escaped her lips as a watchmen darted past her, shoving her to the ground as he went by.
"WATCH IT!" Danni hissed after him, slowly standing back up and brushing herself off. "Wonder whats got him all excited." She said with a shrug, gently tilting her head as she continued to walk.

She rubbed at her eyes again, and sighed. She remembered how beautiful Ashcroft used to be, remembering when she was growing up; Noahβs park was her favourite place to go right after having mass. Or how her high school graduation was held in townβs square instead of at the small school. Ceely heaved a big sigh and ran a hand through her messy hair. Ashcroft went from being her home to a place where all hell broke loose.
βMr. Dante, who exactly am I cheering up? I donβt want to come off too strong like I did with Mr. Harrisβ She remembered how her overwhelming personality made him resent her a bit which led into him lecturing her on how hell has boiled over and how she was just helping it along with having so much hope or how her happiness was not needed in these times. Ceely felt a little down after that had happened but she quickly recovered when she was asked to play with some of the little kids.

Daylight was beginning to become stronger, although there was a permanently foggy haze surrounding everything and making the already thick air seem even harder to breath. The sun mocked her: all bright and happy and perfect up in the sky, beaming down on her. Today was definitely not one filled with cheer, but death. She really wanted to float up in the sky and punch Mr. Sun in the face.
As she walked, she noticed the buildings around her. There was a school, a Motel, some businesses, just a normal city. When she neared the end of the road, however, she came to a dead end and found a graveyard to her right. How ironic. Here is a graveyard, and the walking dead are among us, she chuckled to herself. Of course, she decided to go into it. Who wouldn't? As she walked through, she noticed there were no upturned graves, no bony hands reaching up at her out of the ground, no living corpses fighting to break free from their earthy prisons. It was surprisingly peaceful and calm, given the situation. Though through the dead silence of the air around her, she heard a strange noise: voices. She kept on, readying her katana just to be on the safe side (she always believed to be on your guard, else you won't have any you left to guard).
She neared the end of the graveyard and spied a church surrounded by a barricade of some sort. Then she stopped in her tracks, eyes wide and mouth gaping. She quickly dove behind a large gravestone and peered over it, trying to make sense of what she saw. In front of the church, standing and carrying on normal conversation, were two people; a man whom she assumed was a priest based on his dress, and a sweet but troubled looking girl.
"Am I dead, or just crazy? Am I seeing things? Is this Heaven? Are those angels? They're some pretty shitty angels. They don't look in the best shape ever," she whispered, expressing her thoughts allowed. If those were real living, breathing, normal humans, then maybe she had come across some sort of survivor station. But in not, if she they were just a figment of her imagination, then she would be in some serious mental trouble. "What do you think, Suzy?" she asked her blade. "Do we approach them and ask for help? Or do we run the other way?" After very little self-persuasion, she decided on the latter. She was desperate.
She mustered up the will and stood up, slowly approaching the barricade. One foot in front of the other; step-by-step.
"Hey there! Is this a safe haven?" she called out to the figures so close but so very far away from her. They looked in her direction and she cried a tear of relief. Somewhere deep in her heart she knew she wouldn't be alone any longer.

'Where the hell were you?' he thought to himself.
As much as it was great to see her, she went out of the safe zone without telling him. It made him angry, it made him think there was no respect between them but that can't be the case. He paused staring at her, then walked up to her and sniffed. He made a face at the sudden smell that had entered his nose. He plugged it and coughed.
"You stink, running around in the slums? Go take a shower when you can." he said giving her a pat on the shoulder then began to pick up some papers on the floor.
Taking the time to listen to what ever the girls had to say while he at least made his room walk able in. The guard had made his way into the entrance of the city hall and was making his way down towards Dante's room. The information of a survivor at there door step would indeed make him at least interested today. Dante kept his ears open for any conversation, his mind on a sudden day dream of the two girls having fun as he watched from the watchtower. These daydreams happens quite often now. He been staying up more and more that his lack of sleep led his emotions to take daydreams of what he wish would happen. Instead, his outer, hollow self stayed out for everyone to see, knowing that if his emotions got in the way of his leadership things would end up horrible.
With that said the he manege to find a book he was looking for a while now. This book was empty with pages but now filled with what Dante truly thought of everyone, his life, his secrets, he had to store them somewhere. Still putting this with someone would be bad, so he stopped with the papers and opened the book to read a recent passage.
'List of wolf's, best to worse.'
Dante
Rivera
Shizel
Danni
Jake

Ryan C.
Glen
Rebecca
Hiya
Sim

Jeff
...
The list went on and on of his favorites, some he didn't have time to get to know so he mark a check on them so they were not effected by the chart. He crossed out Jeff from the list now. Seeing on how he was kicked out. Then closing it, seeing the guard waiting in the hallway, he nodded for him to come in.
"There is a man waiting outside the barricade." he said.
Dante paused then replied, "Bring him here... I'll take care of it." He then shooed him off and went back to the girls before the man came.
