Chloe Huntington

Chloe felt terrible. It wasn't like her to feel sorry about something, but this was one of those times where she actually did. Everlie was just sitting there quietly and peacefully, and she had ruined that. "Oh god, shit, fuck. I really am sorry." She rambled on, climbing out of the water as quickly as she could, wrapping her blue towel around her. "Give me one minute, okay?" She spoke quickly, pausing for a moment to laugh at the smart girl's comment. "I really should be a mermaid, shouldn't I?" She grinned, before running off in the direction of Boone's classroom. Everlie would hate to be late for a lesson because she had to change, and it being Chloe's fault, she felt as if she had to help. She ran passed the group of women and Will on the grass, probably flicking them with water as she went, through the courtyard, interrupting the romantic moment happening, and into the school.

"Boone?" Booooone?" She called as she rounded the corner into the hallway where his classroom sat, and seeing the door open. "Boone? Boone! Bo-- I mean, Mr Keating!" She said as she slid into the classroom, literally, and saw Miss Caspray there. She frowned for a moment at the new teacher, still not fully accepting her into the academy, before she turned to the man that she saw more as a brother than a member of staff. "B--Mr Keating, I dove into the lake, splashed water on Everlie. Well, the water just jumped out, it wasn't really my fault. Anyway, gonna' be late to class. Don't fail us? Thank you so much! You're amazing." Her arms flung around his waist in a cheeky, wet, rushed hug, and then she was out of the door once more, leaving only a puddle of water where she had been standing.

She ran back through the courtyard, through the group of friends, and back to where Everlie was sitting. "Right, sorted out being late to class. Again, I'm so sorry!" She huffed, bending down onto her knees, trying to catch her breath.

Will Hawk

Will couldn't help but continue to laugh as his half-sister's reaction to his tickle, the Southern accent in her voice showing how annoyed at him she actually was. "Awh, babe. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you so much. Don't really want you dying of a heart attack now, do we? You're too pretty for that." He winked at her, before again turning his attention back to the innocent young blonde laying on the grass. Ava didn't understand how he felt about Nina - she wasn't like any other girl that he knew, or had been with before in the past. She was different. He felt... he felt as if he wanted to make her happy, that he wanted to make her smile whenever he was around. Of course, he'd never admit that to anyone. That would ruin his reputation as "Will Hawk, seduction extraordinaire."

Before she could even reply however, Arissa arrived, and ruined his day. The girl was far too clingy for his liking, and he saw her more like a leech, clinging into her friends with her teeth, as if they were going to run away if she let go. Ugh. "Oh hi Arissa." He said, putting on a charming voice and bowing as she entered their conversation. However, as soon as she sat down next to Ava, his attention left her. She got as little attention as possible from him. She didn't deserve any, to be fair, but he gave her some. That's just the type of kind soul that he is. His eye gazed back over to Nina, as her quiet voice broke the air, and he couldn't stop himself from smiling ever so slightly. "Of course your pretty. No, you're more than that sweetie, you're beautiful. Gorgeous. There should be statues of you around this academy for us to pray to." He said softly to her, only those that knew him really well would understand the true meaning of his words.

However again soon enough, his attention was taken away from Nina and placed on the child of Dionysus that was walking past them. He felt a signature smirk rise to his lips as she saunted passed, looking sexy he had to add. "Looking good, babe." He spoke as she continued on her way, pausing for a moment to check out her butt. He made it sneaky of course, hoping that the other girls wouldn't notice. As soon as she was out of sight, he turned back around to the blonde.

"So, where were we?"

Lukas Tricon

Lukas welcomed her kiss with open... well, lips, and his arms tightened around her in a hug. "I hope you like it, darling." He said softly, looking into her eyes as she pushed that annoying piece of hair out of his eyes. How he was ever happy without her in his life was mystery to him now. He didn't feel the same when she wasn't around, when they argued, he felt as if half of his heart was ignoring the other, and when they were together, he felt as if he was on cloud nine. His eyes turned to his brother with confusion, when he entered their conversation, saying something about Pedro. Luke had no idea who Pedro was, and just stood there, with his lips clenched together, showing his brother that. His eyes turned back to Clove though when she explained the situation to him, and he shook his head. "I'm sorry Clove, but I have no idea who Pedro is. I don't read... those sorts of books. Thought you would know that now, after a year of being stuck with me." He grinned playfully, before placing a soft kiss on the tip of her nose.

He couldn't stop the small laugh from escaping his lips as he heard Nova's words, and he nodded slightly. "Yeah, took me most of the night. Still, perfection takes time, and this," He said, pointing down the bracelet, "is flawless." He grinned confidently, proud of his handy-work. He hadn't made something so... wonderful before, and he was glad that he had made it especially for the gorgeous girl in his life. He took in the words that Miss Caspray said, but didn't give her any sign that he had heard her. When she had gone, he turned once more to his twin. "Two man job? Later on maybe?" He shouted to the man that was already walking to his class.

"Yeah, I suppose your right. We should head off to class. But yes, I really would like to continue this later." He smiled playfully, placing one more passionate kiss on her lips, before taking her hand. "Shall we, my lady?"

BOONE RAZIEL KEATING

Rhea made a jab at his handwriting, and Boone had begun to defend himself in his typical Boone manner, but then Kitty had popped her little head inside his classroom and his entire persona had switched, followed by yet another flip of composure when he realized, once more, that Rhea was indeed still in the room. It was a hodge podge of inflection and a rather silly thing to behold indeed. "Oi, shut it, Xior! At least I - Kitty! Good morning! Er! Ah, Ms. Caspary! Ms. Capsary, good morning." While he was a big fan of the aloof child, he had to admit that he was relieved when she scooted off, ensuring him that she'd do well on the assessment. A tiny smirk found its way onto his face, and soon he was chuckling at the whole situation- both Kitty and he looking like fools. He covered his mouth with his hand like he usually did when he laughed and it naturally leads into him resting his head on his upturned palm. "Yes, and what can I do for you, Ms. Caspary? I'm assuming you're only here for paperwork and file management, right?" he snickered before hopping out of his chair and going over to the corner to make her a cup of coffee.

Before the woman had a chance to reply, however, in came slipping one Chloe who looked like she'd just crawled out of the sea. She howled his name from down the hallway and slid into the classroom door like a character in Scooby Doo and, upon seeing Kitty, she too switched from crying Boone to clucking Mr. Keating. He grinned as she frowned, their expressions completely opposite. Boone personally found the whole predicament quite amusing. "B--Mr Keating, I dove into the lake, splashed water on Everlie. Well, the water just jumped out, it wasn't really my fault. Anyway, gonna' be late to class. Don't fail us? Thank you so much! You're amazing." Suddenly, his smirk had been replaced by a bit of a scowl - though he did snort in amusement from the line "the water just jumped out" - and he protested through grumbles and semi-growls as the skinny child wrapped her arms around him in an unwanted embrace, leaving the man virtually soaked. "Chloe!" he growled, but she was already off and he lead a hand to his face in a very standard face palm. He tried to wipe off the water from his wrinkled dress shirt, but it was to no avail. He found himself chuckling again as he looked up at Kitty.

"I swear I'm not usually so popular."
he said simply, trying to walk to the corner where he had paper towels but slipping a little bit in the puddle of water on the floor that reminded him a lot of Peter Pan's shadow. Yes, it was rather suiting that Chloe's phantomesque comrade would be a pool of shallow liquid. He sighed as he grabbed the roll and wiped up the mess on the floor. He finally glided back over to hand her a mug - one of his own - full of the hot beverage.

N O V A

Ms. Caspary came by quickly, looking fresh and dewy, and greeted the three of them. He smiled brightly at her and offered a good morning of his own. It seemed like that would have been the end of that, but then she had gone on to say ,"Oh, Nova, Lukas? Now that I have you here, can I ask a favour? Could you have a look at the grandfather clock in my office? It's broken." Nova clapped his hands together excitedly, a small round "o" shape forming on his lips. "Of course, Ms. Caspary!" he cried, looking like a toddler who'd just been given an early Christmas present. He couldn't recall working on a grandfather clock before - never really got his hands on one - but toying with clocks and watches in general was one of his favorite things to do. He'd suddenly found his motivation for the entire day in that single "favor".

He got so wrapped up in his own brain from then on out and he sorta just… trailed off in the general direction of his next class. Nova was too far off from them to hear Clover's very simple, not at all Freudian explanation of  "I just meant that he reminds me of Pedro." He strolled by like a easy breeze, too stuck in his own head to realize that it may have been peculiar to walk away from a semi-conversation like that. The bracelet wrapped 'round the redhead's wrist had got his mental cogs working and then the promise of fiddling with that clock made it so that he was really, really itching to make something right about now. But, alas, History with Ms. Molly called.

He heard his other half shout out at him, "Two man job? Later on maybe?" and he was suddenly snapped out of his dream-like reverie. "Huh?" he asked, spinning on his heels to look at him, "Oh! Oh, right! Definitely. I'll catch you later, Lukas!" he shouted as well once he realized what his twin was refering to. "Bye Clover!" he added before turning and trailing off to the room that he was taught history in by someone only a few years his elder. When he got to the room, it was unlocked but empty, which really didn't surprise Nova all that much. He just took a seat and waited patiently for the day to begin, reading onward in his book until then.

Peter

Peter chuckled at Jules's reaction to seeing him, "Aww, Jules, baby, you know I don't doubt you!" He winked at the girl and that big, almost goofy, grin found it's way to his face, "Questioning your taste in music was just the first thing I could think of when I saw you because I'm just an ass like that." He shrugged, his eyes gravitating towards the sky as he did so, "You can blame my father for that one." He reached over and snatched the girl's iPod from her, just to examine the music she'd been so enthralled in. Jules should be used to this, by now, though. After all; it happened often enough. An almost smug smile tugged at the corners of Pete's lips, "Oh, come on! Are you serious? All Time Low? I mean, sure, they aren't bad, but...But when am I gonna catch you listening to The Beatles or Queen?"

He glanced Danni's way when he heard her voice and offered a curt, but not impolite, nod and a simple, "Hello." Before he started snooping through Jules's iPod, though the girl could extremely easily snatch it back from him, he wasn't actually trying to piss her off- he was just being a pain, as per usual with Jules.

Alexander

Alex is late for class. His own class. He hasn't been late for class since he was eighteen! He'd spent the night off-campus, with a woman from the nearby town who he'd been on a couple of dates with. It had been going well, until the early hours of the morning, anyway; he'd royally screwed it up by visibly cringing when she'd mentioned celebrating their one-week anniversary. He'd spent the rest of the night on her sofa, and then left before she woke up.

There's no time for him to change his date clothes before class, so he'll just have to show up in a shirt and suit jacket - tell the kids he was at an early meeting, or something. It'll make a change from his usual grass-stained jeans and t-shirt, at least. And he'll have to put on armour for the lesson, anyway.

Lukas and Clover are still hanging about the courtyard, engaged in a bit of first-base. It's their anniversary, isn't it? Clover had mentioned it the other day, while she'd been helping him clear everything away after class. Bah! The very last thing he'd wanted to be reminded of right now is an anniversary! "Lukas! Clover! You know Mr. Keating will have you for breakfast if you're not in his classroom five minutes ago!" But he turns to them again, when he's a little ways away, "And Happy Anniversary! Many more!"

Jules, Danielle and Peter are already waiting for him when e arrives in the Battle Strategy area, and he claps his hands together to gain their attention. "Good morning, kids. How are we feeling, today?"

_____________________________________________________
Tristan

Tristan's running late for Battle Strategy class, and unfortunately the quickest route from his bedroom to the Strategy Area takes him straight past the little group huddled together on the grass. He can hear William putting the moves on Nina. Gods, that's cheesy, he thinks, he sounds like a teen romance novel. Nina isn't exactly his best friend - she's kind of a snore, really - but he kinda hopes that she's smart enough to tell him where to get off...she'd have to be brain-dead not to notice William's less-than-subtle appraisal of Portia's ass, and even more so to ignore his relationship with Portia; everyone knows about them...they're an open secret. Portia is the closest thing which William has has had to a girlfriend since starting at the Academy, and it would serve him right if she got fed up of him. That would put William in his place, for a little while at least.

Ava and Arissa are with them, though, so he can't really walk past without acknowledging them. "Hi." he gives them a quick wave, then thinks of an excuse to hurry off, "I gotta get to class, see you there."

The piece of bark bounced of Malcolm's pectorals as Emilee threw it at him. He simply chuckled to himself as she went about her normal routine of insulting him and what not. She always teased him so much, and he loved it. Sometimes, it was nice for him to tease her back though. "Emilee, don't be ridiculous....of course I'm a jerk. I'm your jerk, though." He said while laughing. After he had asked his questions, she had laid her head against his shoulder. Uh oh, universal sign of feeling bad. Malcolm guessed it was time to put his cheer up hat on....as soon as he wrestled out what was wrong with her. Emilee could be so evasive sometimes, even with him. "What do you think?" She asked mumbling. "That was a good shot though, you have to admit." She said with a small grin spreading on her face. Malcolm smiled a soft smile. "Good? It was brilliant! Perfect shot, right above the left breast from what......58 paces? It's how I knew you were up here, no one can shoot like that. No one but you, and do you know why? Because your one in a million, Em." He said smiling at her and hugging her closer with his arm around her. He then gently placed his head on top of hers. "You want to know what I think? I think, I'm out in my favorite place to be, with my favorite person to be with on my favorite type of day........and I can't enjoy it. Because my favorite person has something bugging her, and that's more important to me than any game to hunt or class to be late to." Malcolm said, his tone very warm and understanding.

It was true, he couldn't really function right knowing there was something wrong Emilee. She was like, most of his world. He never had a family to speak of, or a friend to talk to, before her. It was him, Emilee and Gregis against the world in his eyes. Sure he had other friends to be with, and they were all lovely people. Even so, they didn't hold a candle next to the best archer in school. He then sat there, waiting for her to respond. He could wait there all day. Malcolm heard some barking and looked down a little. He saw Gregis chasing squirrels and birds or pretty much anything that got near him. He had one of those big old dog smiles on his face. His stump of a tail wagging like there was no tomorrow. He chuckled to himself softly, thinking about how blissful a dog's life must be. Malcolms gaze slowly moved up into the treeline, taking in how peaceful everything was. He then caught a glimpse of the sun through the tree's. He then noticed it's position....they were definitely going to be late for class.

Kitty

Kitty laughs along with Boone, but runs a hand though her messy hair awkwardly; is he laughing at her? Does she really look that tragic, right now? She shakes her head a little, and tries to brush the thought away. She'd never bothered about looking like a dope in the name of literature before, it's silly to start fussing over herself just for Boone.

He asks why she's come to visit him so early, and she's about to say that she'd come about something that's hot and wet and far more interesting than paperwork, but then realises that it sounds...extremely inappropriate, and before she can think of something else to say in reply, Chloe rushes into the room, spraying her with water as she passes. Kitty raises her hand to her, now damp, face. Now she looks even more ridiculous in front of Boone. Fabulous. Chloe speaks so fast that the whole speech becomes one long word, and Kitty's eyebrow raises of it's own accord; at eighteen, Chloe's maybe a little old to appreciate being called 'cute', but she certainly looks it right now, while she's dripping wet and clinging to Boone like a long-lost sibling. Chloe splashes her with water again on her way out, and leaves a puddle on the classroom floor where she'd been standing.

She grins back at him when he insists that he's not as popular as he seems, "Don't worry. I know it's all political." she gestures at the notice scrawled on his board, "They're probably just trying to sweeten you up for good marks." she quips. She considers asking him, if a hug buys you a passing mark, what will a kiss get? But quickly disregards the idea; he might think she's trying to imply something...Gods, why is she so tangled right now?!

She takes the mug from him gratefully, "Mmmm..." she breathes it in; Boone's private stash of coffee smells much better than the crappy, school canteen variety, "You're a lifesaver, Boone." She glances down at his shirt at almost snorts into her coffee - there's a Chloe-shaped patch of damp. "Here." she takes the roll of paper from him, "Let me." She dabs at his shirt with a wad of tissue. "So...how are you? it's a little awkward to converse with him while she's so close, basically groping him in the name of tidiness.

------------------------------------------

Sinclair

Sinclair is woken for the second time that morning by someone outside his bedroom door. He can hear them shuffling about outside before they speak. It's Rhea. He curses under his breath; he can't just ignore her and go back to sleep. "Hang on a sec." he calls out loud enough for her to hear him from the other side of the door as he heaves himself out of his nice, warm bed. Yesterday's jeans and shirt are lying in a crumpled pile at the foot of his bed, so he pulls them on quickly to cover his modesty before he answers the door. "Sorry. I was sleeping...obviously." he leans against the door frame, his arms folded across his chest, "Did Keating send you to get me? Or is this just a social call? Because you know I need by beauty sleep." he raises a questioning eyebrow at Rhea.

"Hey Riss" Ava smiled as the brunette daughter of Zeus sat beside her "how are things?" she inquired applying a light pink chap stick to her drying lips "What are you doing here?" her friends stern voice echoed through her ears as she looked between Will and Arissa, she knew that the two didn't really like each other, the only reason Arissa was what Rissa would describe 'civil' towards Will was because he was her brother. Ava turned her attention to Nina taking note how she blushed under Will's gaze, with a raise of her eyebrow she watched with curiosity, she hadn't really thought of Nina and Will in a relationship, hell, Will didn't do relationships, he only did sex. Yet logically it could work, Nina would be a great influence on him, perhaps even ease his player ways. Ava looked back at the two with a smile appearing on her face, maybe this could work.

"I'll let you off" Ava smiled at her brother, she couldn't stay mad at him for long.

Her smile fell however when Portia walked past and William's attention wavered from the pretty blonde sat next to her to his little "sex pet" walking past "Morning, Will baby." Ava rolled her eyes at the girl, she had no idea what that girls problem was, for a long as Ava could remember Portia had been vile to her but to be quite frank if someone was so quick to judge then she couldn't give a rats ass if they weren't friends.

Emilee Rivera

Emilee still had been frowning at him and then when he commented that he was a jerk and that he was her jerk she just rolled her eyes a bit and chuckled a bit. Then she had her whole thinking moment that went on and she had exchanged a few words with him. Now just like always he'd come in with his opinion and what he thought about things. Malcolm almost always tried to make her feel better and honestly if the rest of her friends failed to do it Malcolm, her best friend never did fail. It was almost like deep down she always knew he'd never fail to make her feel better. That was when he spoke "Good? It was brilliant! Perfect shot, right above the left breast from what......58 paces? It's how I knew you were up here, no one can shoot like that. No one but you, and do you know why? Because your one in a million, Em." after that he hugged her closer and he was smiling. Which in turn gave Emilee a small smile. "You make me sound like a super hero." She said rolling her eyes and laughing a little bit. "Don't be silly though, I bet you almost any child of Apollo could shoot well." She said. "Even like me." She added before he could say anything else. At that moment his head was gently placed on hers and everything seemed peaceful where they were and she honestly didn't want to go to class this morning. That was when he spoke again "You want to know what I think? I think, I'm out in my favorite place to be, with my favorite person to be with on my favorite type of day........and I can't enjoy it. Because my favorite person has something bugging her, and that's more important to me than any game to hunt or class to be late to." Emilee sat there in the comfort of her best friend or how she saw him, her brother. There was nothing more then that and Malcolm was the same way with her.

Emilee kept sitting there and was thinking about how to even begin with what was bothering her, she never liked to burden people with her thoughts and concerns. She wasn't one to do that because to she believed it was weakness, more so than anything else. Looking down below she saw Malcolm's dog, he was the best animal she had ever met and would never hurt him. She couldn't help but smile as the dog chased birds and many other animals down there. She looked up and she could see the sun shining. The sun was always a comfort to her as well and it's warmth was always a pleasure to have. Oddly enough she always felt like it was her father's way of giving her comfort the way Malcolm was physically.

"Well your favorite person has a lot on her mind right now." Emilee said softly now looking off into the distance. "I know I have great skills and all but what's going to happen after the academy days, am I going to be of much use to anyone." She said more of stating something than asking a question. "The real problem I have is some teachers think that I need to trust my peers, I do that and I believe if you trust too much it can get you in danger, I mean I'd trust you, Jules, and Chloe with my own life. Why don't they see that? And I am able to take care of my self, why don't they also notice that?" Emilee asked now feeling like the weights were lifted a little bit from her shoulders as she waited for a response. Emilee never had the plain old drama problems like most girls..Hers were more mature than that, so she thought.

Nina Collins

Nina smiled as the two half siblings were going back and forth about the whole tickle thing. It was rather entertaining and it took her mind off of William for a few moments, just enough for her cheeks to return back to their natural color. Nina would get up and leave but she'd feel rude if she did that so she stayed put. Nina had her hair curled this morning and so she was playing with one of them while she stared up at the sky watching it. Nina loved watching the sky and she liked how the clouds sometimes took shape of things that she knew and Nina also loved how sometimes the clouds would just shift.

After Will had paid very little attention to Arissa and being nice to her. Nina was still tuned out at this moment and felt like she had been dreaming because no one else seemed to be able to get a voice through to her right now, but no one was actually talking to her either. She felt at ease in her own world.

That was when Will started to speak to her again. "Of course your pretty. No, you're more than that sweetie, you're beautiful. Gorgeous. There should be statues of you around this academy for us to pray to." Her first response to this was to smile shyly as the redness in her cheeks returned but this time it was a deeper red and Nina desperately tried to cover up her face. In the sweet smelling grass but it was near impossible. That was when Nina actually thanked Portia silently in her own mind. It gave Will something to be distracted about and it helped Nina relax and have her cheeks slowly go to a pink color instead of a deep red.

That was when his attention was back on her and she knew it. He asked where were they. Nina gave a soft and short laugh before saying "Something about there being a statue of me." Nina shook her head lightly. That was when she realized for once she hadn't stumbled with her words. "I'm n-not that pretty, Will." She said rolling her eyes slightly. "If anyone should have a statue it should be you." She said more teasingly. She was thankful her stuttering moments had gone for now.

Clover return's Lukas' playful smile when he says that he doesn't read 'those sorts of books', "Don't let Nova or Caspary hear you say that. You'd break their little hearts." She doesn't say it aloud - Lukas wouldn't get it and so wouldn't be interested - but she's sure that Lukas would be the Count, if his brother is Pedro. Or maybe Cohn...oh, who cares about fictional characters when Lukas is right in front of her, flesh and blood, and looking at her expectantly?

Clover interlaces her fingers with Lukas' when he takes her hand. "We'll definitely continue later. After school, I'm all yours." and she gives him a half-smirk which she hopes looks extremely suggestive and not dumb. Mr. Cadwell warns them about being late, and she gives the teacher a wave with the hand not interlocked with Lukas', "We're already on our way, Mr. Cadwell." she promises, but sticks her tongue out at him behind his back when he's past. She just laughs and squeezes Lukas' hand a little when Cadwell wishes them a happy anniversary. She'd only mentioned it in passing and it was sweet of him to remember; a lot of teachers wouldn't have.

"I just need to grab my bag..." she'd left it sitting by Nova's bench earlier, and moves off to get it, pulling Lukas along with her by the hand. "Caspary hands out an entire library as homework. I think this stupid bag weighs as much as I do."

She walks towards the first class of the day, Power Control. Lukas and Nova are a little put-out by Mr. Keating, but Clover adores him. He's kind of a role-model, though that sounds incredibly lame. She peers through the window in his door and sees that Ms. Caspary is in these with him, probably they're talking about exams or textbooks or something equally mundane, "He's busy, better give him a couple minutes." She reckons that there's just about enough time for a smoke before class officially starts, and rummages through her pockets for cigarettes with the her free hand (the other one is still locked with Lukas', playing with his fingers and knuckles absentmindedly). She eventually finds the packet, crumpled and cracked, in the depths of her pockets; her lighter, however, is AWOL. She'd bought a pack of disposable lighters a weeks ago, but she must have lost them all at parties or left them in other clothes pockets. Fuck "Can I have some fire?" she asks Lukas; the fire manipulation thing comes in fairly useful, in a jam.

Arissa Adia

"Hello Ava, morning's just peachy. I think it could have been better." Arissa stated sarcasm oozing from her very words and stared at nothing in particular. She wasn't angry with Aphrodite's daughter, it just looked like her frustration wouldn't end this morning. Not only that, she just saw Chloe Huntington run like a maniac dripping wet to the classrooms. Good thing she ignored them or else this place will be declared a war zone.

"How about you?" She added after calming herself. Taking out a pen and notebook, she looked at her list to check if she left something out. It was her habit to double check all her assignments or activities for the day, to make sure all was accomplished. Good thing everything was.

Portia then entered the scene and Arissa almost commented on her appearance before deciding to shut up for the moment. She raised an eyebrow distastefully observing the way blond flirted with William and silently thanked the heavens when she left soon after.

She can't help but smile when she saw Tristan greeting them and going away immediately seemingly hurrying to class.

Awhile later she noticed William flirting with Nina and she had the urge to warn the girl. Nina was shy, a better person and possibly the last thing that William deserved. 'Of course Nina, after all that's what he's here for. Just a statue, nothing more.' Was what she wanted to say upon hearing what Ava's half-brother uttered but stopped herself just in time. It wasn't good to make enemies early this morning and she figured if she was able to control her self twice before, surely she can do the third time.

"Aren't we going to class soon?" She asked Ava who's smile fell off the moment that she saw Portia.

BOONE RAZIEL KEATING

Only once he'd handed her a cup of joe did he realize that Chloe's infectious water whipping had caught on to more than just himself and the floor, but to Ms. Caspray as well. A smirk (really a smile being bitten back for subtlety's sake) found its way to his face because she hadn't made so much as a single complaint about it, neither to Chloe nor him. She acted as if it never happened and he's sure it's to make sure no one feels bad. Then she's grinning and joking about his students bribing him and he's laughing - real, hearty laughter that makes his eyes crinkle and his nostrils flair (something he's always hated). The gestures flowed so evenly, conversation as languid as water and just as effortless. The next thing he knew, she was dabbling at his shirt with paper towels. She smelt of coffee and faint perfume, but only mildly of either, over all entirely pleasant. Despite how hard he tried, it was impossible to maintain the light, simple atmosphere when she was so goddamn close. He grew tense under her touch, though a small smile remained, and he looked down at her petite frame as she busily went to work with going so far out of her way to convenience him.

"So...how are you?" she asked and he snorted at her attempts to keep things casual with the touching barrier crossed. "Well, there's a stray cat whose incessant purring has been haunting me in my nightmares this entire school year, but other than that, I'm the same old, bitter educator I've ever been." he said playfully, leaning back against the counter and just beginning to physically ease up and relax. Joking always made him more comfortable. "You don't have to do that, you know." he finally said, a devilish twinkle not to be over looked in his eye. "I've got a spare shirt in my supplies closet." he admitted now after she'd spent quite a while doting on him. He saw a drop of water that'd remained in her hair and caught it between his thumb and the side of his index finger fondly. Truthfully, he was grateful for her genuine concern - his appreciation could be read in the bright aura that surrounded him - but it felt cheesy to express it and, instead, he lightly teased. He actually hadn't remembered the spare shirt until after she'd already begun and by then it felt rude to say anything about it. Now it could be passed off as a joke, so it was really better this way. Besides, the students should be coming in about now and if they were surprised to see Kitty in here with him calling him by his first name, he couldn't imagine how they'd feel about her sopping up his wet abdomen. The mental situation was enough to add a little more foxishness to that glimmer in his eye we were talking about earlier.

He crossed the room to the cabinet to unbutton his shirt (relax, there was a very modest undershirt underneath it), rip it off, and tug on the plush sweater he had in here for the colder days over it. "See? Perfectly student friendly now. Speaking of which, don't you have some literature to be spooning down some throats? Plenty of homoerotic themes and Freudian interpretations to discuss, I'd imagine." he grinned, taking a little poke at her profession. He picked up her mug (his mug really, but her coffee inside) "Don't forget your paper work, Ms. Caspray." he said, handing her the cup of coffee. "Just drop by later today to return the cup. Or tomorrow. Whenever." He shrugged, though he was really hoping for his first suggestion.

Rhea Xior

"While I should just drag you to class, like Keating would want me to, I know you wouldn't like. After all, I really don;t have the heart for it. I just needed to find an escape from the hallway. I really don't like being around most of the students..." she began to confide in him. "You could at least go to Keating's class, he'll roast your ass if you don't...' She looked at her watch for a moment, class had probably already begun. but she had no reason to hurry. "C'mon at least try to escape the confines of your room for one class." she put her hand on her hip, suddenly feeling like Arissa but, stopped, the bell had suddenly rung, Rhea was rarely late to class, and whne she was she tended to become a little uncomfortable with whatever might have been restricting her. "Well...I'll see you....maybe..." a bit of nervousness in her voice. She looked at her watch and started to run toward the stairwell instead of going down the first few steps she jumped over the rail, and into the second flight with no incident, and then hurried down as quickly as she could, she neared Keating's class as more students left to their respective classrooms. She ran into Mr.Keating's door, stopping suddenly as a locket skittered on to his classroom floor and broke, a picture flapping on the outside of her younger brother. It had fallen out her bookbag, in front of everyone in the class.

The locket had been destroyed due to her reckless running, she stood in the class doorway unsure of how to react, but her mouth lay open slightly in shock.

Danielle River

Hey Danni!” Jules exclaimed. Danni grinned at her. Just then, Mr.Cadwell arrived. “Good morning, kids,” he said, clapping his hands together. “How are we feeling today?” “Morning,” Danni replied with a laugh. “I feel great, thanks. And you sir?” She grinned. She wasn’t one known for ‘small talk,’ but she was in a strange mood today . She felt like today was going to be good. Usually, she found that when the mornings started out good, the rest of the day was too.

((Sorry, sorry, sorry, it’s super short- only 84 words *cringe*- but I’m going some-where soon so…yeah))

Lennon

Lennon has been awake for hours, but instead of getting up and out of bed, he'd just lain in bed, staring up at the ceiling. He can't quite gather the energy to face the others. His room is in the same hall as Sinclair's, and he hears Clover banging on the other boy's door - she does it every morning. It's routine. He always uses Sinclair's wake-up call as his cue to leave the comfort of his bed and start getting ready.

He has Power Strategy class first. It's assessment day, but he's not exactly sure what Mr. Keating has in mind. A display of necromancy? The thought makes him grin to himself; the others would freak out if a half-rotted corpse suddenly walked into the classroom.

He doesn't want to be the first one to class, so he takes the scenic route to Mr. Keating's room. The walk takes him by Everlie and a soaking-wet Chloe. "Mornin'." he pulls at the hem of his T-shirt awkwardly; he hadn't expected to see anyone on the way, and doesn't feel entirely prepared for other people. "You know that the two of you are...wet, yeah?" he asks. Obviously they know they're wet. He'd only mentioned it for a lack of anything else to say.

"We have class..." Lennon gestures vaguely in the direction of Keating's room."But, y'know, obviously you two have to get...dry?"

He passes by another group - Ava, Will and the others whom he less-than-affectionately refers to (in his head) as 'The Heathers', after the movie - but doesn't go anything more than glance their way. They're probably discussing hair-care products, or the centrefold of this month's Seventeen magazine.

Clover and Lukas are already waiting outside his room, but he stands a little ways away, with his back against the wall, gazing down at his beaten shoes instead of speaking to them. He wonders whether to offer her his lighter when she asks for fire for a cigarette, but decides against it; the Tricon boy wouldn't be happy about it.

They've only just stepped into the classroom, when Rhea rushing past takes him by surprise, just a little. When she stops dead, he follows her gaze down to the broken locket. Ouch.

Kitty

Kitty looks away pointedly when Boone makes to change his shirt - under shirt or no under shirt - and pretends to examine a painting hung on the wall. A schoolgirl blush burns on her cheeks, but she lowers her face so that her hair hides it. When he's re-dressed, she turns back to him; it's a bit warm for a sweater, but the kids would have teased him mercilessly for his damp shirt...or maybe they'd have been to scared to mention it in front of him. She's overheard some of her students talking about him as though he's a wild animal that might attack at any sudden movement, but she;s never seen any indication of that. "You've never been student -friendly, Boone. she teases, taking her coffee back from him. "thanks, again..." she gestures the mug in her hands, "...and I'll...see you later."

When she opens the door to leave, the kids pass by her to get in. She hadn't realised that they'd been waiting outside, already. She must have been in there for longer than she'd thought.

Her bedroom is two floors up, and is every bit as disorganised as her office. There are books and papers covering every available surface. She places Boone's now empty mug down atop a tower of Mills & Boons and makes a mental note to pay him a visit later, to return it.

After her shower, there's just enough time to read a couple more chapters of her book before her first lesson of the day.

Sinclair

Sinclair rolls his eyes when Rhea mentions Keating's class, and smirks, "Keating loves me, deep down, Rhea." He ponders as to whether or not to go to class, but before he can make up his mind, Rhea's blabbering about seeing him later and sprinting off down the corridor. He watches her go, stunned...how can anyone be so eager to get to class? He looks back at his bed longingly, but he's already up and dressed; might as well go to class. He puts on socks and a pair of battered old converse, and then follows Rhea's route - at a much, much slower pace - to Keating's classroom.

When he arrives, some of the class are already in their seats, but Rhea is standing paralysed in the doorway. He has to edge round her to get in, "What're you standing there for? What's wrong?" he follows her line of vision over to the shattered necklace, "Oh. Fuck, Rhea." he whistles softly under his breath. He's about to say something comforting, but he spots Clover across the classroom, so instead he gives her a hopeless shrug.

He walks up the aisle behind Clover's seat, and as he gets closer he realises that she's sitting by Lukas of course. He wraps an arm around her neck from behind in a gruff, one-armed hug, and places a chaste kiss on the top of her head, "Mornin', Clo...Hi, Lukas." From his vantage point above her, the bracelet on her wrist catches his eye, and he stares at it - confused because Clover doesn't wear a bracelet - for a long moment before he realises it's significance. "Oh, yeah, happy anniversary." he has to fight to keep the disdain out of his voice, "Pretty bracelet, you make it, Lukas?"

He'd almost managed to forget about their anniversary. If he had remembered, he would have just stayed in bed all day. He realises that he hasn't said anything in a while, and so tries to make a joke, "I hope you don't expect such lavish gifts when we're married, Clo." The 'when we're married' thing is an old joke they'd started years ago and had carried on.

Ava sighed and shook her head slightly at Arissa, that girl could seriously change her mood in seconds yet as a friend it was just something she had to get use too, her smile appeared again as Tristan arrived and she greeted her other brother with a warm hug before he hurried off to his class "Aren't we going to class soon?" a look of horror dawned on Ava's face "shit!" she cursed loudly quickly picking up her bag "Guys I have to go, I have Mr Keating first and I'm really trying to get him not to hate me!" She knew it sounded pathetic and not to mention useless as the grudge Mr Keating held towards her because she was a child of Aphrodite was ridiculous yet she hated people not liking her it made her nervous whenever she was around them.

Saying by to her friends Ava hurried across the garden and into the school building nearly colliding with students in the now crowded halls and towards Mr Keating's room for Power Control, walking into the room she saw Clover and gave her a small wave "Morning" she smiled to the group taking a seat, she took out her things before turning to Clover and Lukas "Happy Anniversary guys" she smiled at the happy couple "I really like your bracelet Clo, gift?" she stated.

Rhea Xior

Rhea stopped for a second, then sighed acting as if everything was normal, when Sinclair became distracted with Clover, she was just showing her 'normal' frustration at the situation, so she wouldn't alert any unwanted attention. She levitated the discarded pieces of the locket, a portion of it was missing and had probably rolled under Keating's desk, she moved the metal portions into her small satchel hoping that she might find someone to fix it. She left the small photo there, there was no way she would be stepping back into her past again. She had left that picture in that locket for a reason, to keep it away from the rest of her possessions, and then one night she had thought she lost it, apparently it must have been in some small loophole in her bookbag. She hesistated for a moment, and then remembered almost knocking over someone as she rushed to class. "Lennon!...I-I'm sorry...just me almost being late..." she nodded at him, before walking past the door, with her telekinesis she lifted the small photo, and held it in her hand. A picture of a blonde haired, hazel eyed boy, his two front teeth missing, he was obviously a toddler, yet the picture seemed prehistoric, it was yellowing and in the corner a burnt charred mark was on it. Rhea suddenly had a flashback, one of those dealers and his pistol, which laid close to the family picture in the living room, the barrel of his gun was so arid that it burned some of the photograph. It was a family photo too, which she ripped a piece from after the incident. She flipped it over, the back just as prehistoric as the front, This would definitely effect her, but not in a positive way.

Her face became serious as she palmed the photo, her hand creasing as the photo folded. She realizes that she is blocking the door, and takes her usual seat next to window, although she does so quietly and without a snarky remark for Keating. She definitely hadn't thought of one yet, her eyes gazed into the window. "Now I know I'm not passing that assessment" She thought to herself.

Malcolm smiled. "But, you are a super hero, Em. You save the rest of us from our boredom. Your Emilee the Mighty! Defeating monotony with adventure!" Malcolm stated the last part like he was the announcer for the Super Friends. He loved to tease her when she felt down, he believed it was away to get through to her. Malcolm decided to stop teasing her and really listen to her. That's what she needed right now. It was very rare for Emilee to show her 'weakness' as she put it. Malcolm enjoyed listening to peoples problems, because just listening really helps and is sometimes all you need to feel better. Malcolm was quiet and listened close to every word Emilee was saying and how she was saying it. After she had said her peace, he unwrapped his arm around her and sat lateral on the branch to fully face her. "Emilee. I'm surprised at you. You, out of anyone here, have the brightest future out of this academy, no pun intended. So your mostly well known for your archery skills, but that's not all you are. Emilee.....you can heal. You can heal the sick and wounded. You could use that gift to do so much good in this world. Or...." Malcolm said with a pause, re-adjusting himself back onto the branch the normal way. "You can do anything you want. I know that is a statement that is scarier than it seems, but it's true. Just because your the daughter of Apollo, doesn't mean you have to let it define who you are. Sure you could use your archery skills at a circus or something. But, only if you want to. Or you could become an extreme sports enthusiast. Or trail guide, or a priest or a baker or whatever. You have more skills to offer the world than just what your father gave you. Your smart, your adventurous, you have no fear. Not because your the daughter of Apollo.....it's because your you." He then hugged her close again and gave her a light kiss on the head.

Malcolm then looked at her again. "And as for what the teachers say. You will learn to open up more in time, no one expects you to open up over night. If they do, you shouldn't be listening to what they have to say because their crazy. It's hard to learn how to trust people. I can trust people so easily, because if they betray me, in some way, I can defend myself easily. It's a trick I learned while I was in the other world." Malcolm said knowing she would understand that the other world was when he was homeless and alone. "Besides......the teachers aren't exactly all there themselves, they should not be giving out advice. I mean, just look at my brother. In my eyes.........I want you to never change unless you feel like you need to. If you don't feel like you need to, don't. If you do feel like you need to, then I'll do whatever I can to help. You know I'll be there for you no matter what." Malcolm said in his usual warm tone. After his little speech, he then fell back and hooked his legs around the branch they were sitting on and just hung there, basking in the sun. With his enhanced senses, he could faintly hear the bell ringing. Malcolm simply shrugged to himself. He had maybe missed a total of 8 days since being there for 5 years. He was sure they wouldn't mind a 9th time.

Arissa Adia

After Ava left them in a hurry, Arissa soon left not a second later. Seeing that the two where absorbed in their conversation, she finally decided to go to Mr. Cadwell's class. She knew she won't be late that much, seeing as the bell had only rung but she decided to speed up walking. Her initial plan was to skip class, for the very first time actually. She rather had a bad start this day and she don't think she can keep her I'm a good child aura for today. But since Mr. Cadwell is her favorite teacher, she might as well try her hardest not to blemish her perfect attendance on his class.

"Good morning, kids. How are we feeling, today?" She heard him say and Arissa immediately hastened her steps. She opened the door and quickly entered. "I'm sorry Mr. Cadwell, I was temporarily detained," she mustered in a sweet voice looking apologetically at the teacher.

She saw Danielle, Peter and Juliette and almost let out an audible groan. Just her luck, the Academy's well-known liar in her morning class. She paused at the door for a few moments before deciding that she looked an idiot longer than she would like, went inside and took a seat near the window. She then stared at Mr. Cadwell's handsome face expectantly and eagerly waited for his lesson.

Nissa Claire Summers

One thing you can always be sure with Nissa Claire Summers is that she is a spontaneous person. She always have new activities planned for every single day. It wasn't like she hated monotony but she figured if you can do something different, something new, why not try it? Such is the case for this early morning. As a child of Athena, one thing she prided of is her ability to shift into an owl. Not only did she like the feeling of flying, soaring into the vast sky, Nissa also deeply appreciates being able to see the world in another perspective. This one is from a bird's eye view, literally.

She flew around the perimeters of the Academy for an hour before she finally tested herself if she can go farther. She never tried it before. Not really seeing a reason to but since she had a shitty weekend she thought it may help with her current bad mood. And she was thankful that she did, flying far away and seeing the world beyond the Academy was the most wonderful and exhilarating thing she experienced. She was able to see the large expanse of water which deeply hides Olympus from the normal human beings and even the dense forest that lies beyond it.

She flew across the ocean and into the forest before finally settling on a very tall tree. Before she knew it, time has gone by rather swiftly and she noticed that it was already time for the morning classes. Only then did she decided to leave and fly back to the Academy, though her class wasn't later this day.

Peter

Regardless of if Jules tried to take her iPod from him or not, Peter let her have it back before Mr. Cadwell entered the classroom. Once his least-favorite teacher enter the room, Peter sighed, rolled his eyes, and shrugged before he said, "I thinkI sprained my sense of direction, can I sit out of today's class?" Of course, everyone in the class already knew of Peter's horrid sense of direction, and he honestly wasn't trying to be funny. He was actually trying to annoy his beloved teacher. He came up with a new "excuse" every day for why he should be able to sit out that particular lesson. He crossed his arms and ignored Arissa, well, after rolling his eyes. Oh, Mr. Cadwell! I was far to busy talking with my friends to remember to come to class on time! I'm so, so, so sorry! While we're talking, would you consider fucking me? That would be simply amazing. Chuckling to himself, Peter shook his head at his own thoughts. Sometimes he wondered how girls could be so obvious about their attractions, and get offended when they're brought up. Oh well, he figured it was just something he'd never quite understand.

Everlie McCallister

Everlie chuckled at the girls ramblings. Chloe never seemed like the overly apologetic types. This only happened on special occasions. "It's fine Chloe. Really...I'm just a little...soaked." An amused smile fell to her lips. "It's fine. No need to worry about it." She put her journal away and started shaking off the water that had fallen on her. Yes, she was almost soaked completely, but it was nothing that couldnt be fixed.

No sooner had the words left her lips when the girl ran off. Laughing a little to herself, Everlie took to drying out her hair with the towel Chloe had passed her. When her hair was as dry as she could get it, she set to work on her still dripping clothes, waiting for the girl's return. When Chloe got back and told Everlie that she'd told Keating why they'd probably be late, Everlie nodded with a smile. "At least he knows why we'll be a bit detained." Honestly, Everlie liked Keating's class, even if the instructor did terrify her sometimes.

Juliette Halliwell

Juliette smiled at her two classmates before a deep voice caused her to turn around. Ther stood Mr. Cadwell, looking...kinda wrecked. "Rough night Teach?" she flashed him a smirk. His clothes were wrinkled, his hair was a mess, and he just looked like he was stressed or hadn't really slept. When the doors opened again, Jules leaned out to see who had arrived. She saw Arissa and her smile faded a bit. It wasnt that she hated the girl....much....it was just that sometimes she got a bit annoying and self-righteous. And then there was her obvious attraction to their teacher. It just seemed kinda creepy with them being half-siblings and all.

Running one hand through her hair, Jules looked between her classmates and their teacher. "So, what are we doing today, if I may ask?" She questioned, leaning down to put her iPod back in her bag. "I would hope it involves a bit of an explanation as to..." Jules motioned upwards Alexander with a nod of her head. Taking out her water bottle she unscrewed the lid and took a drink. In this class, you had to stay hydrated or else you would fall and someone would end up hitting you with a stick.

(again...kinda short. Doing this in my third hour. If I missed mentioning people...sorry.)

Chloe Huntington

"I've got us out of Mr Keating's lesson for a bit." Chloe grinned to her friend, standing up straight again as she finally caught her breath. "You know how much he loves me - I have a sort of... pull, over him." She said, thinking back to the elder man's gnarling face as she dashed out of his room, leaving a Chloe-shaped wet patch on his shirt. OH well, he'd get over it. Besides, he kept a spare shirt around anyway. She had gotten him soaked so many times before, it was just smart for him to keep one spare.

She pulled on her clothes over her damp bikini, and tied her hair up into a messy bun with the spare hair-band that she always kept tied around her wrist. She squatted down on the bench next to Everlie, and smiled at her. "Well, we can be late, none the less. So that gives you time to get changed, huh?" She briefly waved at Lennon as he passed them, laughing a little at his comment.

"Yes, we're wet. Problem, Mister?" She grinned playfully, and then he was gone.

Will Hawk

Before he could speak to Nina, Tristan walked passed and waved at them. He didn't really play much attention to the blonde male though, not really seeing him as more of a distant relative, and he kept his eyes trained on the innocent woman in front of him. A curt nod was sent in the direction of the other son of Aphrodite, before his imminent departure. "Oh you are that pretty, honey." He winked at the girl, moving onto the grass now, sticking his legs out in front of him. "A statue of you would turn this place from a school, into a shrine, Nina." He couldn't stop himself from letting a small laugh escape his lips though, as she spoke about him having a statue there instead. "Only if it could be placed next to yours. My statue would be so lonely, and it wouldn't look right without one of you standing right there too."

He missed the redness of her cheeks as her blush died down, and he watched her grow more confident in front of him. He liked her like this. Less stuttering, more smiley, ect, It was nice. It was almost as if she was glowing, in a sense; glowing with confidence, and gorgeousness. She was different to Portia in many was, most which were better. She didn't share Portia's partying girl attitude, or drunken ways, but she also didn't put out like the child of Dionysus did. Maybe that was always why he was running back to her .... body.

"I suppose we could go to class," Will said to her, smiling mischievously, "or we could always spend the time together?"

Lucas Tricon

"Later then, my dearest." Lukas smiled, and son they were on their way to class, after a little message from Cadwell as they passed. Lukas liked the teacher well enough, but he wasn't close to any of the teachers in particular like some of the other students were. He was pulled over to the seat where his brother had been sitting by Clover, and instead of letting her pick up her own bag, he grabbed it from her hands. "I'n not gonna' let my beautiful girlfriend carry a heavy bag on our anniversary now, am I?" He grinned, placing a delicate peck on her cheek. Then they were moving to class.

When they arrived at the classroom. Keating was inside talking with Caspray, probably about double dating with Cadwell and Summers or something. Lukas knew that Boone had a thing for Kitty, and vice versa, and anyone with a sense of emotion could see that; except the two of them of course. His eyes came back onto Clove though as she looked up at him with her gorgeous eyes, and asked him for alight. It almost looked as if she was pleading with him, knowing his imminent answer to be no; but how could he say no to her today? Today was different to most days. "Okay, but just this once. Tomorrow, it's back to the good ol' 'no', baby." He said, before generating a small flame in the palm of his hand, and placing it to the end of her cigarette. He wasn't going to tell her that it was him who kept stealing her lighters, that was his little secret. Well, Nova knew to of course, but he was the only other, and wasn't going to tell her anyway. He was safe, for now.

Caspray left, and they were sitting in the classroom in a flash, at the table where they usually were seated. Then, Rhea came into the classroom, dropping something onto the floor. By the look on her face, it looked important to her, and by the sound that hit his ears, it sounded broken. "Rhea... if it's broken... I'm handy at fixing things." He said, trying to bring back some confidence in the girl, who looked incredibly shocked. However, his attention was soon taken away from the other girl, as Sinclair walked in and wrapped his arms around Clove, tightening her in a hug, and then kissing her forehead. His little jibe about the bracelet passed through his mind, ignoring them like a good man should. "Thanks, Sin." He smiled up at the guy, the smile obviously a sarcastic one, when he wished them both a happy anniversary.

It had always bugged Sinclair that Clover had picked Lukas to be with, and Lukas knew it. It was horrible, having someone else lusting after your girlfriend. His comment about the two of them being married though, got to him more than it should. Without even thinking about it, he turned around and flicked a small flame at the male's long black locks, setting the front few strands on fire.

"Sorry Sin. There was a fly." He spoke unemotionally, turning back around, waiting for class to begin.

Sinclair

There's a weird smell lingering in the air...burning? He opens his mouth to ask if anyone else can smell it, but suddenly realises that it's him. "Fucking hell!" he jumps out of his chair, knocking it over in the progress. His jaw and fists clench when Lukas makes him lame excuse about a fly, but doesn't say anything; he's not convinced that there had been any fly, but he doesn't have any evidence to the contrary.

He runs a hand though his long-ish hair, and most of it still seems to be intact. "Don't worry about it...I could do with a trim" he tries to make a joke out of it, but his voice is tight and irritated.

He and Lukas had been friends, once. The three of them - Clover, Lukas and he - used to hang out together quite happily; up until Sinclair had started noticing the looks that passed between the other two, the goofy, lovelorn smile permenantly fixed to Lukas's face, the way he'd touch her arm or brush against her at every oppurtunity. He'd brushed it off as an over-active imagination, or paranoia, but when Lukas had told him - all anxious and overly-excited - that he planned on asking Clover out, he hadn't been able to pretend any longer. He'd tried to talk Lukas out of the idea ("But...I always thought you and Nina made a cute couple! You two should get back together!", "How about Ava? She's hot! I think Ava likes you, man!", "Y'know, Clover snores. Loudly. Really."), but to no avail. The last year had been the worst of his life.

Sinclair had always thought that he and Clover would end up together; that he had all the time in the world to gather up enough courage to tell Clover how he feels...that everything else fades to grey in comparison to her, that his heart beat is erratic and breathing seems difficult when he thinks about her, that he feels sick with a mixture of nerves, excitement, and hope whenever she touches him. The truth is, he'd marry Clover today, if she asked him. But, whatever...

He hadn't even noticed Ava's arrival, and his head snaps up when she speaks. He rolls his eyes - he seems to be doing that a lot, this morning - when the blonde mentions the anniversary, "Yeah, we're all just waiting for our wedding invites with baited breath, aren't we Ava?" he drawls, "What colour were you thinking for my bridesmaid's dress, Clo?"

He leans back in his chair, putting his feet up on the back of Clover's chair lazily, resting his head in his palm and looking past the others to stare blankly forward; he's sure that he'll be in a foul mood for the rest of the day.

BOONE RAZIEL KEATING

Kitty's oh-so-true proclamation of "You've never been student -friendly, Boone." served as an cue of her dismissal and the young pupil's arrival. Boone gave an amused yet somehow disappointed grumble of agreement, wishing she could stay and chat but knowing that work called for other such things. His students poured into the room, all taking their usual seats, and he ran a hand through his hair before wiping his left eye . My, they were rambunctious this morning. He just sat silently at his desk, waiting for everyone to arrive, watching each one of them trickle in with his tired stare. Clover, Lukas, Lennon, Rhea, Sinclair, Ava... that was it? Where the bloody hell were his students? Well, Chloe and Everlie should be off saying farewell to their fish friends, that he knew, but other than those two... He sighed, deciding that while he could be peeved at the students for coming late and wasting class time, he could also just not give a damn and cherish the down time. Less work and all the same pay, really. Just for good measure, he rolled over and scribbled, "No... seriously" underneath the original scrawling of "ASSESSMENT TODAY" but made no other move as an educator.

They were rather content yakking away. Apparently it was Clover and Lukas' anniversary and being that he had both of them in his class, lucky him, it was the hottest topic of the morning. Oh, teen love! He was sure this one was going to last a lifetime! He sighed again. Rhea came spilling in and dropped her locket onto the floor. The thing was busted - clearly - and a piece had slid under his desk. At first, he remained in his perpetual state of boredom but when he glanced up to see if she planned on picking the thing up, he faltered, a bothered frown tugging on his lips as he winced. Uh oh. Apparently the jewelry meant something to the girl. He was half afraid she'd broken down and would start to malfunction - pulling out a katana or something and going on a mass murder rampage. Instead, she just kind of deflated into her seat. He felt bad for the thing, especially so after Sinclair (weren't they supposed to be good friends or something? He'd always assumed so.) just kind of brushed her off. He picked up the piece and tried to make eye contact with her as he wiggled it in his fingers but, ah, she'd become too distracted with looking outside the window. Bad day for the girl. He pocketed it, vowing to simply return it after class.

Next thing he knew, Lukas and Sinclair were spatting off, flexing and unflexing their possessive ultra-macho masculine powers in front of Clover. He rolled his eyes at the dominance charade (he half expected the two of them to leap atop the desk, pull down their drawers, and reveal baboon buttocks to settle the dispute like true wild animals) and wondered if they'd even begun to think about whether it'd make the very lucky girl feel uncomfortable being bartered over like she was some object to be won. Again, he didn't have much of a desire to voice these opinions and would have gladly just tucked his opinions into his pocket, but he was pretty sure it was his job as teacher to keep his kids from spitting literal fire at one another. For the first time since everyone'd streamed in, he spoke.

"Ehem, Mr. Tricon," he began, fluttering his downcast eyes up to level with the kid, "while I'm very glad your big anniversary day has been apparently very hot so far, I would be much obliged if you were to... erm, simmer down a tad." he said. He finished it with passive shrug, as if his interjection was merely an idea to consider before he'd thought of another valid point to add to his argument. "Damaging Mr. Burton-Lake's luxurious locks on a day he'd actually dragged himself to class seems like a crime, after all." he drawled. To add to the point, he gave a feigned smile, a couple short claps, and a simple "Bravo, Sinclair." After he'd spoken, there was a bit of an awkward silence in the class and he chuckled. "Class, carry on, by all means. We're waiting on a couple of your peers to begin today. There's a group-evaluation to be done which means we can't do it without the whole class present. I'm sure you'll all pass with flying colors considering how well you all get along, though."

He grinned again. "Coffee, anyone? No? Okay." and then he continued to scribble nonsense onto paperwork he had to get done by the end of the day.

N O V A

MEANWHILE: The young boy had been sitting in the empty class room for entirely too long, reading in the relative dark. Suddenly, he perked his head up as if he were having a psychic vision. "Aw crud, Ms. Molly's history class isn't for a couple hours!"

Face palm ensued.
