Description

Koishi Komeiji
(The Unknowable Sister)

Sister of Satori Komeiji

History

Koishi is the younger Komeiji, sister to Satori, and like her, also a satori. While Satori found her own ways to accept and cope with both the ups and downsides to her mind-reading ability, Koishi couldn't handle it. One day, through means she doesn't willingly discuss, she completely sealed her Third Eye, and "killed" the reason she felt feared and hated by others - in the process, sealing her own heart and feelings off from the world as well.

While this did work, and other people ceased to find her frightening, this changed her so much, it didn't mean anything to her at all. She became "static" in her new state, and unreceptive to attempts at opening her up again.

When Satori ordered her own pets to play with her sister, and even giving Koishi some to take care of herself, it only had a minimal affect - at times, she seemed almost to respond, and at others, as if she were only going through the motions. Only the encounter with the Heroines stirred her enough to feel interest and commonplace ambition. Not enough to truly open her heart again yet, but enough to stir it, and rouse long-forgotten parts and the first feeling of regret she's had in ages.

Personality

Koishi is at heart a lonely girl who mostly just wants to belong and be accepted. Ironically, in the process of doing the one thing she thought would give her this simple happiness, she completely closed herself off from it.

In the world she exists in now, she is utterly alone in a way no one else can truly comprehend. And the worst part is, she doesn't feel it - her obtaining a state of "highest happiness" as Buddhism puts it, gives her a perpetually carefree feeling that prevents her from realizing what she's truly done to herself. Her heart is shut tight even from herself, and buried deep in a sea of false contentedness.

So she wanders the world like a forgotten ghost that can occasionally be seen by others, leaving and returning home when she pleases, unheralded and unannounced, living according to mercurial whims, and doing as she pleases. She maintains worldly connections, but distantly and at arms length, though she still feels them - her pets, her sister, her home, links she still feels and keeps up, but not with the same investment.

Since she's usually cheery, her interactions with others are almost always with this face, regardless of circumstance - this can make her seem disturbing, lacking in tact and/or empathy and sympathy, or peculiarly detached at varying times. But she can also be a bit Mischievous to get sharp reactions and connections, but seldom to the level of a real prankster - she enjoys a good tease, and otherwise prefers to go along with others' jokes, even at her own expense, since embarrassment too is something she doesn't feel strongly from such things.

Within the Multiverse

After Gensokyo's access to the greater Multiverse, Koishi had a whole larger expanse to explore. Satori had even more trouble keeping in contact with her sister now, and Koishi would be spotted all across the Multiverse in various locations, even inexplicably showing up in places she doesn't belong. Her inherent ability to disguise herself from the majority of people through her manipulation of the subconscious being very useful in evading hostile forces all across the Multiverse, rarely experiencing conflict...and rarely engaging in it. In most scenarios, if she is thrust into conflict, she often chooses to leave instead of stick around and risk herself, even despite her power...it's often not worth the time and risk...

Powers and Abilities

Koishi possesses the power to Read and Manipulate the subconscious.

As a practical matter, Reading it means she can see the base instincts and impulses of others, but unlike Satori's ability, not words, thoughts and details, feelings, or desires - an excellent ability for protecting herself, and a near-useless one for understanding another creature's heart and needs, or communicating with someone who can't otherwise (like animals.)

Her ability to Manipulate it, however, is truly frightening. At its heart, this allows her to subtly play on others' capacity to Perceive and Recognize - without both, from another person's perspective, a thing simply doesn't exist on any level. Koishi mainly makes use of this to an extreme degree, to maintain a state of faux-Mu/Nirvana - a practical death of the "self". If she doesn't make her presence known to be acknowledged, both she, and any actions she commits, won't be recognized by others.

This gives her an invisibility that is more than perfect, allowing her to wander around unseen, unheard, and utterly unnoticed by all around her. It's not that others can't see her, but they literally can't perceive her or her actions' existence until she calls attention to herself to be recognized. Explanations for otherwise unexplainable phenomenon, are shifted onto the user's subconscious to fill in the gap of recognition.

Things she does that others could notice, won't be seen as the work of "some sneaky ninja person hiding around here," but instead shifted subconsciously to whatever other reasons the person might attribute them to - for example, she can eat another's food out from under them, and they will instead believe another in the room did it, they did it themselves before they knew it, etc.

Furthermore, even when recoginized, no creature save perhaps the Yama, can actually sense her as being "there" - you can see her, she's talking to you, she can even be touched, but has no "presence" or sense of self to be felt at all. Even her sister can't perceive her until she makes herself known, or detect/read her thoughts when she does.

So begins...

Giggling to herself, the satori enjoyed her bouts of trickery. Despite appearing on technology while fooling the minds of regular people (save for those unable to be affected by mind trickery), she did a few more small tricks. Messing with people's clothes, messing with their tables and other minor things. It was all well and fun as she effectively played cat and mouse with security. Though...something was off. There was something coming. Something that wasn't really fun at all. At least, fun in the traditional sense. It could be fun to mess with them! But not like this, where there's minimal risk. At least, she figured the security wouldn't care if she just waltzed about and would only be a bit annoyed rather than full-blown aggressive about it.

Wandering out from the Gala to look at what was arriving, she saw the ships. There was...25 in total! But...what could she do? Heading back inside, she shrugged. Trying to find the closest security guard (whether they were still looking for her or not, she didn't know) but she spoke up to them if they didn't immediately try attacking her. "Um...there's some big spooky ships outside. There's a lot!"

The 6th Order, as an up and coming group, was unfamiliar with peaceful negotiations, events held in neutrality, and not engaging in warfare. They were, in essence, a terrorist organization seeking to bring down the oppressive empires of the world. But, their image was important for the sake of attracting newcomers. Of course, they weren't looking for a fight this time. Only to participate in the Gala with an ambassador of theirs so they can get familiar with the atmosphere and potentially gain more allies. They knew their enemies could be there...in the event of that, they'd have to stress neutrality. This area is not for fighting. Honor was rare from The 6th Order, but at the recommendation of their ambassador they chose not to engage in such hostilities. Still against the idea of going unprepared, The 6th Order's commanders sent the ambassador with ships for defense. Twin Guardian-Class Cruisers assisted a single Ardent-Class Cruiser housing the ambassador and his fellow viceroys, consisting of their political guardsmen as opposed to the standard 6th Order Marines that occupied the Guardian-Class Cruisers. Their ships exited a jump to drop off the ambassadors and their viceroys, sending the proper credentials to those at the command post in the Gala. Their rank, purpose, and full legal names. However, the ships stopped upon noticing the other ships occupying space. Their formation, and their design...while they had two ships to defend the ambassador's main ship, this other group didn't look like they were ready to participate in the Gala. They looked like they were ready to participate in battle.

Sending a transmission to the two Guardian-Class Cruisers, Ambassador Gordon watched the ships carefully. He had readied the other two ships to call in reinforcements if any attack were to occur from these other suspicious ships. It could be good for their image, after all, if they helped defend a neutral zone...

He sighed and moved deeper into the room, he needed something to do and with the arrival of two royal family members, it just put him on edge. He moved with Grace beyond any mortal of his kind, moving past the rest of the patrons easily, the crowd not slowing his movements as he deftly maneuvered through.

The guard who kept a magical sight upon the party would notice YvandĆr glowing like a christmas tree with the obscene amount of magical wondrous items and Artefacts upon his person, that and his own innate divine magic.

Two princessā€™ if they donā€™t tear each otherā€™s throats out then someone with a grudge might He sighed gently as the thought ran through his head, approaching a server.

He took a glass returning to his table, he savored the wine, leaving it to sit unattended for the most part on his table, his eyes shot up and fell upon the small child claiming there to be ships orbiting, he raised an eyebrow and moved from his chair with his glass in hand and exited onto the balcony, he looked upon the ships.

Curious, he and his fellows traveled via the astral plane, effectively they walked everywhere, it was simpler, made it easier on YvandĆr anyway, he didnā€™t have to adapt to spaceflight.

He picked the small stone wolf from his pocket and glanced back, for now the balcony was empty, good as he was going to get, yes originally he had brought the wolf up in his true state but Fenris was a bit big, so he shrunk him down for everyoneā€™s sake. Putting the small wolf statue back, he crossed his arms watching.

And she could speak French? Malian smiled, suppressing the inner euphoria that was building inside him. This was a keeper, indeed.

"Un aventurier? Quelle est l'intĆ©rĆŖt. Et qu'as-tu dĆ©couvert dans les royaumes extĆ©rieurs? Beaucoup de belles choses, j'espĆØre?" his French was flawless and held a transfixing quality to it that would send goosebumps crawling across any female's skin...the good kind, of course.

An adventurer? How interesting. And what have you discovered in the outer realms? Many beautiful things, I hope?

As their conversation continued, Malian held a keen eye to all the newcomers entering the room. The older nomadic fellow decided to head towards the balcony. The two princesses seemed to be breaking the ice. And there was a younger girl with an impish attitude bugging the security guards and pointing towards the exterior of the building. Everyone had their own agenda to address. Of course parties were planned and performed for the sake of unwinding and relaxing and simply enjoying a jovial atmosphere. But not upscale parties. Classy event like this one held a purpose for all attendees present. And not even Malian and Alecia were an exception to that rule. Power plays were being made with every note of the song they danced to. Even between the two speaking French in the middle of the floor.

And still, the dance continued. The perfect marble floor remain unscuffed, the bright and glittering chandelier above their heads attracting many a friend and many a foe to come and be enveloped by the light.

Verror nodded back to Mr. Malachite as he passed by toward his new guests as he welcomed them.

From this point, he mostly just kept his position, watching the scene unfold. This continued, nothing drastic happening, and after a while he seemed to relax slightly, though he wouldnā€™t let his guard down. His attention was drawn by the arrival of the Taiyou Princess, mostly due to her eight security personnel who were constantly guarding her.

The young girlā€™s voice caught him off-guard completely, perhaps because he hadnā€™t even noticed her there. He looked around, startled, before he noticed the voiceā€™s owner, an odd looking child with what looked to him like some kind of magic floating orb on a string. Deciding not to let this throw him off, or at least try, he leaned down slightly to answer her. But only blank thoughts crossed his mind. What had she said again? Who had - he shook his head, dismissing the moment and directing his attention back at the girl. She had said there were ships outside? That hardly seemed unusual, with so many guests arriving, but it couldnā€™t hurt to check they werenā€™t trouble, he supposed.

ā€œIā€™ll go over and just check then.ā€ He said, trying to sound non-threatening. Making his way over to the door leading out to the balcony, he peered up and froze at the sight. Damn, thatā€™s a lot of ships, he thought. There was no way they were here simply to escort guests.

Verror made face like he was having a bad migraine, and his pupils turned to slits. His sight focused more acutely on the fleet, quickly scanning the ships. They certainly didnā€™t appear to be merchant ships, that was for sure. And was that dust flying out of the vents? No, wait, it was moving in an organized way, it must be some kind of weapon or something, he thought.

Blinking as his eyes returned to normal, he spun around. ā€œUh, kid, I think you might want to-ā€ but the girl had vanished from his sight. Whether or not the satori chose to make herself known again was up to her.

Deciding the best course of action was to inform either the host or a high-ranking employee of Mars Corp., Verror strode around the edge of the room, making sure not to cause a disruption for any of the guests.

He found Helga leaning against the wall. Approaching her quickly (while trying to be as cautious as possible - he had a hunch that it was unwise to get on her bad side), he spoke quietly,

ā€œMaā€™am, I think we might have some trouble. A huge fleet just showed up outside the building, and I donā€™t think theyā€™re here to make friendly conversation.ā€

Cedric stepped into the main gala wearing a luxurious black bespoke suit. It was the kind of suit that only people who lived in a rarefied echelon of financial security wore. His mask mimicked the shape of a skull, and an elaborate and shifting design of a dragon took up one side, wile the other was completely empty. The ink of the dragon almost seemed to suck in the light around it.

He had been patient as the security screened him. He pondered the fact that it would have been simple enough to bypass the entire ordeal, but sacrifices were made for business. So he had done the leg work necessary to gain an invitation, though to be honest some of that leg work was less than honest.

Regardless of what corners he had cut to secure the invitation, it was secured now. He was glad that the financial elite seemed to operate in much the same way as they had in his home dimension, albeit the technology was far advanced. But Cedric had been hoping between dimensions for some time and had learned quickly that he couldn't expect his natural customs to carry over. It would be nice to rely on his natural instinct and background instead of leaning on mimicry.

Scanning the scene revealed a wide range of individuals, from royalty to hired servants, and almost everyone in between. But it was Mars Corps party and so his eyes finally rested on the CEO, David Malachite. He was busy greating one of the princesses in attendance, one who seemed more than ready to excuse herself and mingle with another royal guest.

With the man free Cedric approached with comfortable ease. Mars Corps was no small business, and David Malachite was no small player. By contrast Cedric Valentine was nobody in the multiverse, but he was far from nobody, and he projected that confidence in his easy approach. It was his first foray into the business and political waters of the multiverse and he intended, as always, to plant the seeds that would make Valentine Inc a future player in those waters.

"Quite the party you've put together. I'm glad I decided to crash it." he smiled easily and extended a hand, "Cedric Valentine, Valentine Incorporated. Pleased to finally meet you Mr. Malachite."

Mr. Malachite smiled and greeted each of the newcomers to the Gala. He shook hands and embraced others and when he was finally free of his duties for a moment one man decided to approach him instead of the other way around.

David took Mr. Valentine's hand and offered a strong grip only to measure the young man up like a slab of meat being sold at market. "A pleasure that someone decided to crash my event. A few I've greeted have been more graceful than others, and some have been outright impetuous." Mr. Malachite chuckled only to hear his friendly guest introduce himself and the company in which represented. "Well Mr. Valentine, can I call you Cedric, are you a up and coming power amongst the social elite or am I speaking with older blood who I've not had the pleasure to speak with before?"

Mr. Malachite allowed his gaze to flawlessly remain upon his newfound friend whilst he searched the matrix for information on Mr. Valentine and his company. It would only take him a few seconds for any information to come up but for the meantime he would simply enjoy this social encounter.

Douglas Weskit smirked. "Well obviously I get to speak with a rather lovely woman and even get the chance to dance." The gentleman took her hand and began to lead Bamboo in a waltz.

Helga would continue to look for the little girl only to be stopped by Verror. "The planetary government is fully aware of the fleet above. If it is the guests we are expecting then have no fear." Helga offered only to then take Verror by the shoulder and walked over to an open balcony to get a better look at the fleet. "How long have you been hired on by the company? If something were to happen I and several other members of the security detail would need to act in accordance with the terms of agreement we have with this world."

#, as written by Obake
The dark alien fleet had made no attempts to bypass any security measures upon its arrival. The ships were in a defensive formation, but they were in plain sight. The Asphodelian fleet seemed rather massive to some of the spectators, as their battle destroyers would've been mistaken for much larger carriers to those with smaller ships. The Asphodelians had brought their royal guard with them, but although 25 ships seemed a bit excessive, it was a small fleet by Asphodelian standards. Nevertheless, when they warped through space using a unique form of dark energy called omnite, the Asphodelians weren't trying to be stealthy.

They wanted to be seen...

As the miniature bugbots scanned the perimeter around the Asphodelian fleet, they acquired information about the space, gravity, temperature, radiation, dark energies and other details which were forwarded directly to Obake's computer. The entire system was hybridized, composed of utonium alloys and other foreign elements unlike anyone had ever seen before. Powered by etherine, a new type of energy Obake learned to harness using pyramite crystals found in the Bluestar Galaxy, the tiny winged drones were not susceptible to most hacker tactics like EMP's or viruses, nor did the manipulation of time and space have any effect on them as Obake's bugbots recorded different signatures, frequencies and wavelengths and sent them to Obake.

The masked human in the dark hybridized spacesuit would hit a glowing transparent green button on his 3D holographic screen, causing the bugbots to disperse in several directions throughout Intergalactic Space, particularly upon the surface of the planet in dark swarms, appearing much like an approaching rainstorm from the witnesses below. It was unclear what their intentions were, as the Asphodelian fleet remained perfectly stationary. Obake turned and walked through the pressurized gates from the command deck into the hall of the main deck before going through another gate into the flight deck or bay hanger. His bugbots continued to form dark clouds over the Gala and all the guests, thousands of robotic locusts and flies all demonstrating a hive-like mentality or artificial autonomous control system. They were collecting data about every minute detail they could find, sending the intel directly to Obake's spacejet.

Still a mile above the planet's surface, the bugbots appeared to just linger around without descending any further. From out of the mist of their dark cloud, a triangular black spacecraft could be seen hovering without a sound. Obake hit a few buttons on his his control panel, grabbed the joystick and opened the hatch. His personal spacejet dropped out of Soulburst into freespace, and soon Obake was on his way to the surface. As the black triangular craft descended ahead of the bugbots, it appeared to hover down slowly to the ground. Obake was controling the ship's movement with the screen in his cockpit. His other hand was controlling the joystick in front of him. The small triangular black craft landed smoothly and vertically on the planet's surface and remained completely motionless.

It was now at the foot of the Gala...

At the edge of the sector, the Mizuho, and her accompanying escort fleet took note of the twenty five alien ships arriving near where the Gala was being held.

Almost at once, they began to move to combat readiness, preparing their weapon loadouts, though the Mizuho was unmoving, as it was directly linked to Yukiko.

So they sat idle, 50,000 vessels strong and waited, performing deep scans of the area, but maintaining a state of alert.

----

Inside the Gala itself, Yukiko remained silent, despite her security personnel moving quickly to assess the situation through comms with the fleet, tapping their earpieces they kept their formation around the Princess.

There were two men in particular, a scruffy older gentleman with a neatly trimmed beard, and a single blue earpiece that contrasted with his simple black suit.

The other man, a stark redhead and much younger also stood silent, his red earpiece contrasted with the other man's blue earpiece, and the rest of the security contingent's black earpieces.

The Emperor's Personal guardians, Azaka, and Kamidake stood ready to address any threats to the Princess, genetically augmented by the Matokey, both were guardians of great power.

Security Chief Mazaki turned silently to the princess, tapping her shoulder and whispering in Taiyou into her ear.

"We have an unidentified alien fleet orbiting the planet, we should depart soon, I cannot ascertain their intent."

Looking to her surroundings, Yukiko nodded slightly, before slowly going to her feet. "Shimizu insisted I try to make friends here, but no one is interested, and I'm bored." She whispered back.

As Yukiko stood, the security contingent moved back to surround her, with the two guardians taking point, hoping to make a swift, and discreet exit.

At that moment, Princess Shine approached, addressing her as Takayama-Hime, and in Taiyou no less, this elicited a visible pause and reaction from the Princess, whom was used to ignorant foreigners surrounding her, using inappropriate titles, among everything else.

"The people of this Galaxy never cease to surprise me." Yukiko said quietly to Azaka.

But being sequestered in Andromeda for the better part of the last several years, she wasn't familiar with the dignitaries of this galaxy, a brief look of confusion dawned her face, but she tried her best to hide it.

"Who is this foreigner and why is she talking to me?!" Yukiko asked herself in her head. Outwardly answering the greeting in the typical polite smile common in the Taiyou.

Bamboo and Shine received the information about the fleet at the same time. Shine did not react, certain in her guardā€™s ability to get her safely aboard the Golden Chariot should she need to evacuate. Still, she was more surprised than not that it appeared Takayama-hime did not recognize her, having caught the brief confusion. Still in Taiyou, she spoke on. ā€Forgive my interruption, Takayama-hime.ā€ a pause as she considered her title translated. ā€I am Erutin, Shine, a princess of the Erutin Empire. I wished to introduce myself to you ahead of the talks between your family and my own.ā€ She didnā€™t want to presume who would represent either family after all.

The other hadnā€™t been seen in this sector in some time. Still, Shine managed a polite smile for her fellow princess, even as her guards urged her to please get closer to the edge of the crowd. The one guard accompanying her kept close, able to grab hold and port her to the Golden Chariot should the situation turn sour. Shine was not worried.

Bamboo turned her head on the dance floor, unerringly looking in the direction of the fleet as they waltzed together. ā€œI do enjoy it.ā€ She assured Mr. Weskit. ā€œHowever there may be trouble shortly, it seems.ā€ She explained and turned her attention to her dance partner. ā€œAnd if there is not trouble, then a party with no tact or head for diplomacy is shortly to arrive.ā€ Really, bringing an entire fleet to a party. It was utter nonsense.

Still, it looked like both the imperial women here were aware of the problem and ready to leave. Good. In the event of an attack, perhaps war could be averted, if Takayama and Shine were kept safe and out of danger.

Sin never was a type of being to sit idly, seeing reports coming in from Obake probing drones and his own deep space scans paints a pretty good image on the hollow-screen in front of him giving him a good view of who and what in this systems and the next if need be. As he knew from the start that showing up here like this was not in the railm of peace talks, but pushing those thoughts aside Sin needed to prepare his fleet if things go wrong planet side with Obake. Using the mind-link between his ships commanders and himself he push his orders to start Def-Ops in the space surrounding the fleet, and to ready a R.R.T unit, which are a team of 20 Reviers class soldier's and 10 Asphodelian fighters. If things do go to hell and Obake can call the R.R.T for help.

-----

The fleet started Def-Ops, the Battle Carriers with their unknown black gleaming metal would strike fear in to anyone. They didn't need to charge up the main gun because they were not there to attack anyone, but if need be they could destroy planets with only one shot. The black-omnite shields active giving a image of disruption around each ships. Same in fact with the outside of the ships as the unknown black metal that all of the fleet are coated with began to ripple back a forth from solid to liquid preparing it self for any number of attacks. A Swarm of fighters began to launch from flight deck taking up patrolling patterns in a V-formation with a Ace-Pilot at center of each formation.

The Battle-Destroyers started their Ops at the same time, readying their weapons like the 20 P.E missiles for frist strike options. Each missile can cause major damage by phasing past ships shield and tracking systems. Not only the destroyer's have good offensive it has the ability to jam radar, magic, computers, comm links, and warp-drive to make sure any force they come up against will most likely have a bad day.

-----

All ships reports ready, as Sin taps on his chair with his claws. He would wait and trust Obake with talking on his behalf as his title in the Asphodelion Empire grants him that.

David Malechite would find precious little information on Valentine Inc. in the matrix. This was due to a combination of the fact that there wasn't much to find, and the fact that Cedric was careful to keep some dealings close to the chest. He would find a hand full of real estate and transportation acquisitions, he may notice some personnel hires that stood out as bold grabs, perhaps even some former Mars Corps employees. All in all what the man would see was a company that was quickly, almost violently, coming into existence in the economy of the multiverse.

Cedric returned the man's grip almost exactly, gauging the man's reaction, sensing that he was being sized up. There was no sign of discomfort at this fact, he had been sized up many times, he found that he measured up more often than not. People often had a private place where they were most comfortable, for Cedric he was most comfortable here. He couldn't help but smile at the question, new blood or old. It was one he had heard in some form or fashion many times. It had been strange the first time, he had grown up in a world where his family had always had wealth. Their wealth predated entire nations very existence, it had endured ages of men. Here, as with every other dimension he had visited, he could easily be thrown in with the nouveau riche.

"Old fish, new pond you might say." Cedric replied as he deftly retrieved a glass of scotch from a passing waiter. "But I assure you the money is old." he took a drink.

There was some commotion by the balcony, a new arrival making a unique entrance. Cedric allowed it to take his attention for a moment. The various security personnel were inconspicuously informing their charges and no doubt preparing for the worst. He took it all in, standing there next to the host of the event, then he smiled and took another drink.

"Impetuous."

Despite his face being covered by a protective visor, Verror was clearly embarrassed at his mistake. He watched as the peculiar triangular ship descended, reminding him less of a ship and more of some kind of standing stone. So, they werenā€™t here to pose a threat after all. He turned his attention back to Helga.

ā€œErā€¦sorry about that. Wonā€™t happen again.ā€ He apologised hastily, shuffling his feet slightly. ā€œIā€™m not a permanent employee, I was only hired for this particular event. Iā€™m still adjusting to more modern customs and such.ā€ He explained.

Helga would have probably figured out by now that Verror wasnā€™t the brightest. He wasnā€™t unintelligent by any means, he just wasnā€™t on the same level as many other people here who had special augmentations and AI implants, or had sharply trained their minds.

ā€œIf I see that strange vanishing girl again, Iā€™ll tell her thereā€™s nothing to worry about.ā€

The AI would be on her tail sooner rather then later, but Meldraenei wasn't too particularly pained by the notion of being caught by some second rate AI. But it would make it rather clear that she was not in a mood to be fucked with by some incompetent busy body trying to mess with her intelligence gathering. With the diversion going off, she sent out more packets of false data make it look like she was sending out trails of data for the ice to follow. She scrubbed her own data trail as she went along but soon began to set data bombs, packets of data that were lethal to AI along with the packets of data and sprites she was constantly sending out to distract her pursuers. She was almost done: She nearly had a full list of party goers and their full dossiers.

"Belles choses? Parfois oui, parfois non. Cela dĆ©pendra de ce que vous trouvez beau dans l'endroit oĆ¹ il y a trĆØs peu d'Ć©toiles. Une certaine vie existe, d'autres mondes ne sont que des morceaux de roche et de mĆ©tal qui font un bon sauvetage. Je suis un aventurier et je suis un geĆ“lier."

She replied while continuing to dance. While she was looking about, she glanced up to the security cameras and then to the rest of the party goers. Her drones out in the furthest fringes of the system began to report to her of large fleets of ships inbound on her position. They began to feed her telemetry and data about the massive number of Taiyou ships nearby and several other forces she didn't recognize. This was unexpected but she simply smiled to the man whom was trying to court her and simply bowed to him in the dance while holding out her hand to him.

"Care to take a girl to get a drink? I am rather parched...and the night seems to be getting much more entertaining"

French Translation:
Beautiful things? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It would depend on what you find beautiful in the place where there are very little stars. Some life exists, other worlds are just hunks of rock and metal that make good salvage. I am an adventurer and I am a jailor.

"I'd not worry about it to much. How could you have known?" Helga offered only to give the guard a nod and accompanied Verror only to direct him towards the entry. "Stay over here and help me inspect the new arrivals. MAD scanners aside the only weapons that will come into this party are those we allow." She was one of the heads of security within this party and would not allow for some overly cocky arrivals be the downfall of the Gala. Information was fed to her via the matrix and she would simply check over the guests who had arrived with the utmost care and respect.

Douglas grimaced at the idea of trouble while the two danced. His mind raced only to give her a nod towards her words. "My dear, I'd be appalled if there was something that escaped my employers capable grasp." Douglas began to smile once more as the waltz continued without the distraction of outside interference. "Besides it would be a shame for me to waste what precious time we have to dissipate a problem better suited for a simple warning."

Atom 7K continued to follow his leads allowing his agents to act before him. This rogue within the system would find that termination in the meat space would be a kindness compared to what would be in store for this hacker. A single message was displayed to every member of security to look for the meat bag as it would have had to be someone in or near the Gala that might be hiding.

Douglas finished up whatever drink he had and moved onto his next whilst standing in the company of Mr. Valentine. It was rather pleasing to hear this young man standing tall and being rather productive. It was not above Mr. Malachite to assume plenty of things but once Cedric described the others and the newcomers he decided he needed to make a move.

Mr. Valentine, besides mingling with the powerful, what can I do for you. I've not heard or seen any record of you or the company you represent." David took a moment to look over the companies logs only to grimace slightly. "So what can I do for someone who's money is old?"

#, as written by Obake
Meanwhile, another small craft appeared to reveal itself from out of the mist of u-flies as it hovered slowly down towards the triple A corporate building. The pilot of this spacejet was none other than Majister Obake himself, a renouned ambassador and royal adviser of not just one or two, but three very different opposing galaxies. All the data from his bugbots were uploaded directly on to his screen. He was entering a "no danger zone" into the vast greenless jungle of cityscape architecture towards a giant floating skyscraper that appeared to be at least 100 storeys tall, if not taller. The data on his pilot screen confirmed this.

The planet's atmosphere was determined to be "unstable," but this was not a system error. Obake was using a hybridized program, and the Asphodelian ruler he came to represent was from a distant chaotic universe where things were very different, sometimes even the opposite of what most lifeforms were accustomed to. Obake's ship scanners picked up everything on the roof of the skyscraper. His ship scanners were even more thorough than his u-flies, picking up details about the lifeforms inside the building, leaving almost nothing to secret. Powered by etherine, his ship's scanners detected that there was no force inside the entire building that could block his system. Radiation levels were detected and found to be safe. Electromagnetic systems were detected and mapped out. Obake's system was equiped with a female human A.I. voice to interact with him on his voyages so he wouldn't feel so lonely in outer space. "Shall I shut down all the computers for you, master?" She asked him seductively. "Not right now Star, we don't want our friends fighting over how sexy you are," Obake replied cunningly as he pressed a few buttons on his mini-screen. Star continued to scan the MarsCorp building.

It wasn't very difficult at all. Obake's moniter showed several guests both inside and outside the building. He was picking up bloodtypes, heat signatures, heart rates, blood pressures, auras and brainwaves. Star detected a businessman wearing a wolf-mask, a shapeshifter wearing a star-mask, an armed guard wearing a helmet, another man in a striped green-mask, an augmented A.I. shapeshifter wearing a blue-mask, a man in a gold-mask, a cybernized woman accompied by armed guards who appeared to be maskless due to her painted features, a peculiar android with connections to other armed agents, a half-elf demigod wearing a druidic wood-mask, a satori with telepathic abilities, another woman wearing a gold-mask accomplied by armed shapeshifters, a man wearing a skull-mask, and several other races and species all wearing different colored elaborately decorated masks for the purposes of an important political party.

"There's someone attempting to scan me, master," Obake's spacejet would inform him of Verror's intentions. "Relax," was Obake's response. "It's a security guard, he's probably just trying to get a sneak peak," he continued. "Shall I undress for you, master?" Obake's ship was implying that she lower her special shield, allowing the inside of his ship to be scanned. "No not yet sweetheart, not yet" Obake said as he landed his spacejet vertically in the designated landing area.

Just then, the mood changed as a darker more sinister voice came through Obake's communications system. "Skhala go vitzklok," was the Asphodelian's message. In essence, it was a message informing Obake that a mysteriously large mass had just appeared in the outer sector. Obake hit a few buttons on his screen to get a better picture through Prince Sin's eyes. What he saw through his eye-mod was Prince Sin's arm-module, which projected a 3D holographic model image of the entire universe in which they were located. As the Asphodelian leader rotated the image, he zoomed in on one particular sector with a strange mass effect positioned in a rather suspicious formation. "Kakkat ishk trulv olka," was Obake's response to the visual message before switching back to his normal view of the landing area in front of him.

Just as expected, Star was still running scans, picking up sound frequencies and mineral compositions. Obake wasn't too worried. He knew that Prince Sin's fleet was capable of handling almost anything by itself, and he trusted the R.R.T. to rescue him from danger if need-be. Wasting little time, Obake continued on with his mission, continuing to watch the rooftop from the safety of his cockpit. All of his defenses were up, but none of his weapons were active as Obake opened up a single radio frequency and waited patiently for the landing party and security personnel to communicate.

Yukiko kept calm, a smile presented to Shine, while Security Chief Mazaki was conversing silently with one of the other guards. They were making the decision as to whether or not to depart.

"Talks? Oh, they must be preparing to meet with my brother. He is far from here, aboard the Soja, his flagship." She replied, in Taiyou to Shine.

She looked up, and both Azaka and Kamidake were visibly agitated when the scans permeated the building. Their power was carefully concealed, and even the otherworldly etherine was useless against the power commanded by the two royal guardians.

Azaka made his move first, weaving his way through the other armed security personnel, to bring himself close to Yukiko, standing just behind her, and to her left.

"Takayama-hime, we must depart, the alien fleet in orbit has your security staff on edge, and uneasy." His voice was firm, no doubt both guardians could protect the Princess if necessary, but the best defense was to avoid a potential conflict entirely.

Yukiko looked briefly to Shine, and then back to Azaka. She was considering her next move.

She smiled back to Shine and pulled Azaka over. "This is Azaka, he and Kamidake have been protecting the royal family for generations." She slowly gestured to the younger man in the red earpiece, whom was somewhat removed from the main gathering. He was watching the ship approach, though not visibly. He was trying to assess the potential threat that this alien vessel could pose.

Azaka offered a slight bow, the older bearded man with the blue earpiece kept his head inclined in respect, before turning to Yukiko. "Your sudden transport is ready."

Yukiko nodded slightly, before turning her attention back to Princess Shine. "I don't trust the security here, maybe it would be better if we met aboard the Soja, and became better acquainted. The fleet in orbit has my security staff on edge; they're arming weapons."

---

As the Asphodelian fleet readied their defenses, the Taiyou commanders gave the order; with the protection of the Princess the highest priority, Hyperspasce jumps were triangulated, and roughly a hundred ships entered hyperspace.

A scant five minutes later, a hundred distortions opened up between the Asphodelian fleet and the planet, Taiyou warships, from the smaller Minekaze class, to the larger Shogun and Yamato class ships slowly emerged from hyperspace, one by one they took up position between the alien ships and the planet.

Their massive guns swiveled to life, turning on their turrets to bear against the Asphodelian fleet, 50cm guns armed with 150 kiloton nukes turned on their banks, targeting and running closed simulations on each alien ship. Shock Cannons turned on their turrets as well, garnering firing solutions on the larger battleships and cruisers, power surging to each weapon battery.

The Battleships Ise and Hyuga turned to bring their prows to bear, each aligning their bows to face the Soulburst; if this engagement turned violent, they would unleash their Wave-Force cannons, and unleash the full power of their power systems in one coherent planet-cracking beam of energy.

The last ship to appear was the Mizuho, which took position between the Taiyou fleet, and the Asphodelian fleet; it's power was carefully hidden from even the most sophisticated scanner.

The Taiyou fleet was merely a show of force, should things turn violent, there was no doubt the Mizuho could decimate the Asphodelian fleet in mere minutes.

The pieces were in place, and now it was up to the Asphodelians to take the bait, and fire the first shot.

Bamboo tapped Shineā€™s security team over her implant, as she danced with Douglas and smiled apologetically as she received the update. ā€œI am to help evacuate the princess.ā€ She broke off and offered him a flirtatious curtsy. ā€œForgive me, Mr. Weskit. Perhaps another time.ā€ She hurried to the princessā€™ side regardless. How Terran events always ended like this she did not know. She just knew she got hazard pay for coming to Terra because of this nonsense.

Shine smiled to Yukiko. ā€œOf course. Iā€™ll take my own ship and meet you there. Iā€™m afraid my security team is rather worried as is.ā€ She said simply and gestured with an open palm to Bamboo. ā€œAs you can see, theyā€™ve sent the ambassador to fetch me to safety. The Golden Chariot is a small enough ship, it may be able to dock in yours.ā€ It was built for speed and defense, with a primary purpose of getting the heir to safety.

Further, there was only one way on or off the ship. Bamboo reached for the Princess, and Shine gently took the ambassadorā€™s hand, delaying her a moment via her implant. ā€œIā€™m afraid any further conversation will have to take place over shipā€™s comms.ā€

Bamboo allowed this a moment or two and then pulled the princess gently closer. ā€œYour highness, we should not delay. The danger is only growing.ā€ The womanā€™s hidden guard could no doubt do this, but it was not a done thing.

Shine sighed and nodded her head to Takayama-hime. ā€œStay safe.ā€ She bid the other and allowed Bamboo to pull her tight into the otherā€™s arms. The duo disappeared in a flash of light, appearing aboard the Golden Chariot a good half a light-year away. Several smaller flashes disappeared as well, the security team leaving now that both Erutin women were gone.

The Golden Chariot took off for safety, the minute everyone needed was aboard.

It seems that even off Terra events hosted by Terrans were cursed. And to think, she assumed this was safer despite the hosts being Terran.

He heard the Erutins make their leave, one princess gone, that made for some relief, he had done enough playing hero and saving nations back home, turning to reenter the gala he stopped to watch the new fleet enter orbit.

ā€œviolence begets violenceā€ he turned back and walked back inside, taking a seat by one of the windows so that he could keep an eye on those ships, pondering what heā€™d have to do to protect these people, if it came down to it.

ā€œI could plane shift everyone...no that would mean weā€™re all in the astral planeā€¦ā€ he tapped his fingers on the table in front of him, and removed his mask, setting it down, he pulled back his hair into a ponytail and tied it there with a small piece of twine, contemplating putting his mask back on or leaving it off, he sat back and rolled the thin metal band around his finger.

Koishi had finished telling the security of the news, and it looked there was some concern among them at the least. With that in mind, she could stick around and be relatively calm. After all, they were interrupting her fun. And she wasn't going to let a bunch of space boats take that away. Though, as she came back she saw there were some leaving. B-but...

With a small huff she considered her options. This party was probably going to go very downhill soon. Oh! If it's already going downhill, she could give people a surprise! That always cheers them up! Humming to herself as she found an appropriate space to do her thing, she began to conjure some magic together. A bit of illusion here, a bit of enchantment there...and viola! Before her was the semi-translucent and glowing form of a decent sized lion. It was...beautiful! Now just to see what'd happen. Of course,
it couldn't hurt anybody, but...it was pretty intimidating! Kinda.

At the sight of the Taiyou vessels entering into the space, more and more as time went on, The 6th Order's own ships stayed put. They waited, waiting to send for back-up just in case. But, they waited for an act of aggression from the Asphodelian ships. Whether they should engage, or not...that was what was being determined.

"I think you would agree, the fastest way to kill old money is to let it sit idle." Cedric replied, "Money is like blood, if it's not moving it's dying." he finished his glass of scotch and replaced it with the next drink to come around.

"Mars Corp has a research wing that specializes in magic and the archane. From what I understand you've made some very impressive breakthroughs with them. I might present a unique opportunity to supply certain research opportunities for your company. Valentine Inc has a branch that specializes in attaining magical creatures and objects for research, and I can promise some of these finds would not be available to you otherwise."

He took a drink. He wouldn't bother explaining why he would be able to supply such unique research opportunities. Cedric needed someone willing to take a chance, even a relatively small one. Mars Corp would be ideal as an early partner in the multiverse, but he wouldn't let them get the impression that he needed them to be his first partner. It wasn't a bluff, it was a gambit.

"I'm here to grow money Mr. Malechite, both for my company and those who see fit to do business with it." He took another drink. "I'm also here to drink your scotch."
