Lorne Seto's Story

Lorne walked down Main Street looking from shop to shop as he halled his things looking for any inns that may be located on this street. He was running away from home with what little he had and the only real skills he had were medically related...
What a fat lot of good that was... Going through medical school...
He continued walking the streets, trying to find this blooming inn!

"mmph?" Lorne Seto comes to in some room that he doesn't recognise... Where was he? What was he doing here?
He looked around, last thing he remembered was looking for an inn on Main street and now he was in a classroom?!
He only hoped his captor would arrive and explain what the HELL is going on sooner rather than later...

The headmaster was a very intelligence, very patient person. However, what just happened in front of him was so completely nonsensical, he legitimately outright teleported Kaju right to the library since he had no idea how else to respond to him.

And then, he looked at the next few. One was still panicking, so he decided to just leave him there for now and let him calm down a little, while the other was one of the new exchange students. Since the teleportation method had not gone so well, he decided to produce a glowing trail that would lead Akela right to the front door of the Headmaster's office, which was still turned into a slime that would suck people in when they tried to enter, and would suck people out when they tried to leave. What was the point in turning his front door into a slime? He was just testing a spell, thought the end result was interesting, so he left it as is.

He was still reasonable, but a bit eccentric.

Akela looked down at the path that appeared at her feet. "What the..." She started
Akela started to follow the path hoping to the Goddess that this was not some kinda of prank the alien girl trick. She soon realized though that it was leading her to the headmaster's office.
Akela looked confused as she came to what should have been the door of the headmaster's office. Cautiously she reached out her hand to touch the slime door. Akela screamed as she was sucked into the room falling face first into the office. She picked herself up her face red with embarrassment.
"I guess you wanted to see me.."

Lorne looked around, noticing the headmaster's office and decided to attempt entering it... It was probably best to try and find out what is going on before doing anything else... He held his chest as he attempted to go through the slime door, no good... It wouldn't open....

What IS this place anyway?! he thought as he looked at everything around him, wondering if he had been kidnapped or something... His head was all fuzzy, like a massive hangover from too much mead.

Suddenly someone came out of the office, it was the headmaster... Lorne asked in a quiet tone "w-were you the one... who kidnapped me?" Within the office was also a girl... Lorne didn't know her but he could tell she too was dragged into whatever THIS is...

"Well I have to admit this is all very new to me...." Akela said. "I have never been off my home world before it is very strange to go from being just another girl in the crowd to being one of the only of your kind on the planet."

Akela looked around the office and sighed. "I just hope I don't let my people down..."

Lorne looked at her strangely, a slight blush creeping on his face.
D-dammit she is pretty he thought as he swallowed quickly.
"M-Miss... U-um..." Lorne stuttered awkwardly, he wasn't good around anyone let alone girls.
He looked at the Headmaster too, thinking of how many people have been sent here by him...

Andolen returned to his desk and continued otherwise preparing for the class that was to begin. As he did so, he came across a memo from the headmaster. He eyed it thoughtfully, then chuckled. "Foppish fool probably forgot just as cleanly as I did."

But still, better safe than sorry. Andolen stood, secured his work, then stepped out of the classroom and closed it behind him. He then made his way to the headmasters office, although decidedly not by the slime door. Instead, he waved his hand and opened a portal, like a hole opening in space, edged by runes and strands of energy. With a short hop, he jumped through and stepped into the office, glancing at the two students to be before addressing the headmaster. "Doctor." He said, with a nod of his head.

"Oi oi, don't look at me. This is the Headmaster's office. Of course people come here all the time to do various things".

As if he knew what he was thinking, Azler replied to him before looking back at the young woman.

"Well, if it makes you feel better, there are countless other unique entities in this school. Geniuses, talented individuals, we even have the sole survivor of the Akir clan in our walls. We take in people from all over, humans, dwarves, elves, beastkin, even aliens, we accept everyone and anyone, to give them the best education. At Astrius, you can essentially prepare for everything. Well, I don't deny life can get very interesting here too. But, we have faith in the campus security...as well as the Student Security".

He thated twiddling with a thumb in his fingers.

"Now, I believe one of you already has things prepared....but what about you, mr....I don't think you introduced yourself yet?"

He found it to be a bit difficult to communicate with someone without knowing their name. Of course, it was right at that time a fellow staff member joined them via portal.

"Ah, hello there. I have some good news for you! I think quite a number of recent students will be headed towards classes you are teaching....if I recall correctly, you were responsible for Magic Theory and/or Mathmagics right? The beginning of a semester is always so busy, never ending work to do".

No, in truth, he got his paperwork done at a speed that most could not dream of, but this was something Azler paid little mind to.

The hallowed halls of Astrius academy, Kayabuki didn't quite understand the logic, or the reasoning behind sending her here, but she had been given the assignment, and reluctantly accepted on behalf of the emperor.

Her red pantsuit had been pressed the night before, and she did her best to keep up appearances, with carefully done makeup, carefully styled hair, and a very cropped, and professional appearance painstakingly tailored for her appearance here on this new, alien world.

She had a long itinerary ahead of her, make contact with the local government to make way for relations between her people, and the people of this world, but she also had to fulfill a special request from Shimizu, and that was to enroll his sister, Aeka into this Astrius academy, so she could better understand her own abilities, and be around people with similar abilities.

This place was alien, but that didn't discourage her, finding her way to the Headmaster's office, approaching the Secratery.

"I'm here to see the Headmaster, I've got an appointment." She said. "Yoko Kayabuki, for twelve o'clock."

Quintin walked down the corridors of the Academy. He seemed to be oblivious to the other students in the halls as he passed by, despite the obvious looks he was getting from the girls... and a few of the boys. He read the directions on the paper but he still managed to get lost in the halls of the giant building. "Now where is the darn Headmaster's office?" He muttered as he looked around. He spotted a map posted on the wall and figured out that it was on the other side of the campus. He walked across the campus and found the office.

He took his headphones off and heard that the headmaster was already meeting with some others. He also noticed another woman waiting to enter as well. "I guess I'll wait until he's not so busy." He said as he took a seat and waited.

Lorne continuously looked around the room, wondering why he'd brought into something so strange... In comparison to the others there, he was considerably normal... No strengths or talents of his own... Just... average...

Why am I here? he wondered, as he looked at the men and women surrounding him.

Akela's tail and ears twitched nervously as she noticed the boy staring at her. She managed not to laugh as he tried to talk to her.

"I'm Akela" she said simply before turning back to listen to the headmaster.

Soon a man she assumed was a teacher appeared. He seemed to have some business with the headmaster, but Akela didn't pay him much mind.

Next came a woman she had a prim and proper look to herself. She had seen the look herself in nobles and rich sobs back home. She would try to avoid that woman at all costs...

Last came a rather cute boy with hair like fire.... Not bad...for a human... Thought Akela.

But, the office was getting a bit too crowded for Akela's liking. So she turned to the headmaster and said, " If we are done here I would like to go and get moved into my dorm room."

"Dorm room? So this is a school? What am I doing here?" Lorne muttered under his breath... "I mean you all look so powerful... A-and I'm just me... I'm nobody special...."

Everyone looked so special, especially the girl who called herself Akela... He was just a regular son of a farmer who had run away, who had been found in a pile of wheat, abandoned by his parents... He didn't even know who he was, let alone what made him special enough to be in such extravagant company

"Dorm room? So this is a school? What am I doing here?" Lorne muttered under his breath... "I mean you all look so powerful... A-and I'm just me... I'm nobody special...."

"Magical Theory and Formulae, Doctor, but you were comparatively close." Andolen responded to the headmaster before observing the gaggle of students.

He then cleared his throat loudly to get the attention of the rather crowded office. "Alright, so I can see our esteemed headmaster did, ahem, bang up job of getting everyone sorted and prepared." He addressed them in turn. "Ms Kayabuki, if you'll take a moment, I'll be right with you."

"Mr Seto, I assure you you are both special and powerful, you only need time and training to realize your potential, which is why your here.

"Ms Anku, if you would be so kind as to take Mr Seto with you to the dorms and assist him to room eight oh three in hall B. You yourself may take room seven four nine in hall C. If the arrangements are not to your liking however, please feel free to see me after classes."

Andolen then turned to Dr. Simon with a slight smirk and said "Before I forget Doctor, this here is the synopsis plan for the lesson I intend to have the students in seventh period take." He handed the principle a piece of paper read very much like a step by step instruction book. "As you can see" He continued "You may wish to be present, just in case your medical knowledge is required, Spatial shift transmission can be rather tricky at the beginning, and I expect at least one student will accidentally leave a few pieces of themselves behind."

Lorne looked around the dorms holding his things in his hands... Which building was the boys dorms again?
Panic filled his chest, where was he meant to go? He curled up outside and cried into his knees, what was... he meant to be doing?
The other students completely ignored him as he cried there, silently...

With file folder tucked under her right arm, she offered Andolen a slight nod, before she briefly checked her watch. Her itinerary was packed and offered little room for delays.

Why did Shimizu insist on sending Aeka here, of all places. There were plenty of qualified institutions back in the Empire, and her Shogunates.

Simon just smiled as he looked towards Andolen.

"Well, something strange happened which threw off the schedule, because for several minutes I was not entirely sure how to react. And Andolen, you know what happens here on a regular basis, not to mention what I did before becoming the headmaster, so you should understand just how strange it was..."

He looked through his files as he picked up the ones he needed.

"He rammed his head into the wall, on purpose I think, so I had to talk to him before I could get to everyone else, which threw the schedule off. Also, he said...well, he probably needs to go through all of the classes normally reserved for primary school children, but lets leave that aside for now. He might not be a student now, but if he becomes one, that is all I should say for the moment".

He then turned back to Andolen. "Ah, I see. I will keep that in mind. Oh, by the way, you should be getting at least two new interesting students later. One is a bit new, but the other while inexperienced has good knowledge, and I think they both have potential. After all, one of them did produce a mana reaction I have not seen in a long time".

Chuckling to himself, he then turned to Kayabuki. Actually, Kayabuki had been at the receptionists before, and not the office, but when the important person arrived, instead of casting magic on anyone, Simon Azler had just decided on a whim to connect the two room's spaces. If normal mages tried that though, they might hurt themselves from overloading their bodies.

"There, I managed to resolve the schedule delay. Sorry for that. Shall we begin now? I received all your documents and notices, and so long as we have the medical records to confirm not to serve anything she might be allergic to or what not, I guess we should get to the questions I am sure you want to ask me?"

Kayabuki nodded, once she was before the Headmaster, she placed the file folders on the desk. "Medical records that aren't classified have been transmitted by the Cabinet Intelligence Service; I was in the area and Emperor Takayama insisted that I go over your new student's protocols personally, before she arrives." Kayabuki said, gesturing to the file folder.

"Her security is absolutely paramount, and we're formally requesting her bodyguards, Azaka, and Kamidake be with her at all times whenever possible." Kayabuki said, placing some more documents on the desk. "She's got some untapped potential that our science director wants explored, therefore I'd like to ensure that all progress reports are collated, and forwarded to my office about once a month."

Clearing her throat, she tried to remember everything Shimizu wanted to arrange. "I've taken the liberty to arrange a contact to live in the city so you have someone to keep in touch regarding Princess Aeka's needs." Kayabuki said, producing a small card with a local address and telephone number.

"I trust you will do everything to make sure she feels welcome; enclosed is everything my government is at liberty to release, I want you to push her potential, She's got some psionic as well as magical potential; will the accomodations I've requested be any trouble for you, Doctor?"
