Wed Jun 30, 2010 4:20 pm Arrogance Animeleague, as a whole, is hardly a roleplaying forum. For true, quality roleplay you're going to have to dig a little deeper. Go into the Roleplayer's Realm, where there is a very cohesive multiverse that one can join. Roleplayers realm has a pretty long filtration process, so joining can be a hassle, however, once you're in you are among a community like few other - especially recently. They've completely set over their multiverse storyline allowing fresh faces and new proponents to factor into the equation.

RR also boasts an interesting D&D style currency system called "EP" in which one can bolster an army by purchasing NPCs, work on secret projects, or develop special items. I would recommend AL, however only if you were to join RR, the rest seems overrun by weeabos, noobs, and other cluttered bits of garbage.

Mon Nov 02, 2009 12:39 pm Alucroas AL is the place to be if you're looking to become a better writer, so long as you're willing to accept the fact that people are going to tease and make fun of you along the way. AL, to me is a dog-eat-dog world. In order to succeed, you have to be willing to work your ass off, and contribute to the community as a whole. Despite their massive ego's, they are willing to lend a hand in order to help aspiring RolePlayers improve. It really isn't all that hard: just ask one of the moderators, or send them a message over AIM/MSN what have you. It worked for me, though it's more or less a matter of mustering up the courage to do so.

They have Initiations Threads specifically for people to get a feel of how things go down over there, as well as to simply immerse their character in AL's multiverse.

Now, that doesn't mean they're going to hold your hand throughout your stay at AL. If you wanna succeed there, you've gotta be independent, and you most definitely, sure as hell have to be brave enough to enter the big threads, regardless of whatever nasty threats, people may make to you if you join.

Point being: independence and courage are the keys to succeeding over at AL. That and smoe basic common sense.

Recommended reasons for joining: Improve on writing-skills, learn how to operate under a cohesive system, and character-development.

Thu Oct 01, 2009 11:33 am Warr Animeleague has one thing going well for it, it's length of existence. While being a well-established forum, it is still not the 'best' out there and never will be. I'd suggest it to no one, as honestly there's little appeal there if you're an actual roleplayer. It's a place dominated by dramawhores and noobery, for the most part, and the roleplaying sections [which number at 2 now from what I know] constantly struggle under the whims of the Head Admin.

While there is a sizable group of players who are fair roleplayers on AL, few RPs there actually get finished without being ruined, because there is no room for any learning or teaching, with Free's backwards, drama-whore friendly rules.

I'd also not recommend it because the headadmin is highly unprofessional, and simply put, a dick.

I hold no reservations on if this had a lot of cursing, I was being concise, and you're big girls and boys, you can deal with cursing or you shouldn't be on the internet.
