Re: The Davenport Family

Okay then, I'll take you up on that. Kind of makes sense for the girls to get the female servants.

Re: The Davenport Family

I'd like to reserve a female servant with Fuyumi Irisu from Hyouka as the FC.

Re: Gay marriage: Yay or nay?

Also, marriage is a religious institution. Even in Japan, their non-Christian people marry in a church. Oh you, trying to scare everyone by pretending marriage is a religious institution. Everyone who actually knows what they're talking about knows marriage is a little certificate given by the gove...

Re: Blurry Lines: Establishing Them

I've got the first part of it almost done in the pad linked below so we can work on the collab there. Though my first post wound up being long enough for a standalone so that might be separated out later.

Re: Blurry Lines: Establishing Them

Okay, did you want to just do normal posts or work it out in a collab?

Re: Blurry Lines: Establishing Them

The idea I had going was that the car she was using would be shut down by the EMP and she'd be forced to walk and somehow interact with someone. Not sure if Sep is still in the park or if Maatika's creeping would have sent her home, but I could see her throwing some money down for an impoverished st...

Re: Collapsing Mana

I was just going to suggest we both submit characters and whichever one's better gets the spot. Then, not only will they get the spot but also get to sadistically watch the other's time and effort be thrown away.

Re: Collapsing Mana

I'd also like to reserve a role for a human, if that would be okay. Possibly with one of the airships, but that's less than necessary and would need me to have a bit more information.

Re: Blurry Lines: Establishing Them

I'm here, and I've been considering making a post, but I've been trying to think of a way to do so that might actually involve someone else.

Re: Blurry Lines: Establishing Them

Well, Owen's dad could be helping fund Sarah's terrorism against his competitor, but, so long as he doesn't hire one of their execs or something she wouldn't really interact with him much. And the same can be said of Solo's super tycoon and Greystar.

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

Quoting this with the response because I missed it earlier and it stood out more to me this way... If men have to go to greater lengths to prove themselves, how come that when men and women are doing the same job, the women tend to be paid less? You’d expect women to be paid more if they had to do ...

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

MRA: I can do the exact same for feminism, pick out all the worst examples out there. Just google 'feminazi' and you'll get a boatload of ignorant yet loud idiots who identify as feminists. Now stare real hard at what you find and then imagine me telling you "This is feminism. I'm sure there's...

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

Good god listen to your selves. Look, I don't agree with the MRA point of view, mostly because I don't believe victimizing either sex is a solution to anything. However, they view men as being treated as inferior in a number of scenarios and to that end act to change the perceived inequality. You m...

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

Also, by the way, MRA is not in any way equivalent to feminism. Defending the rights of the (comparatively) privileged is not equivalent to defending the rights of those they hold privilege over. I think a better way to explain how MRAs and feminists are not equivalent is to point out how feminists...

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

By mentally and emotionally, I meant biologically. The neurological and chemical differences that are in women are there. Weather it came by nature or overexposure of society can be discussed, though I think that would be taking away from the point that women need to be treated equally. "The n...

Re: Feminism: Still Relevant?

You're point at the end about dismissing feminism being a damning blow against gender equality is good, but pretty much everything before that should be taken with massive amounts of salt. Yes, women are physically different than men, but I don't believe anyone has ever proven that women are natural...

Re: Infinite Doom: Reborn!

You know what, after taking a few months off for school, this seems like a fun little way to get back to roleplaying. I look forward to the eventual enjoyfulness.
