Well I'm a bit concerned that everyone on my side's pretty much insane, but then again they're going out looking for babies and children to murder most of the time so it's probably fitting.

Woah woah woah, movement depends on what kind of zombie we're going with. As for how to kill them, yeah I'd say go for the head or something, although he can just control the body afterwards. It just can't go about on its own anymore.

I'll try to sum it up as best I can.

Spectre was capture by the rebels - The rebels do stuff around the camp - Cornelius went out searching, eventually turning towards the forest - Cornelius sends some undead towards the camp - ? - Profit.

Well I would assume most people would give up on resisting after a couple hundred years, it's nice to know that other people think a king of the world has the possibility of being liked by the people, but I was referring to Alastor's backstory and Storm Flash City.

I do find it a bit hard to swallow that absolutely no one in a major city holds a loyal thought to the reigning dynasty and that every soldier somehow forgot how to do their jobs.

Well the entire family's pretty much dead at this point and all of them know why they're killing the other bearers, so the family isn't an issue. The public I was planning to keep out of the loop though with only a few high ranking and close people knowing.
