The 'moon' itself isn't exactly in space. The only reason it's visible is because it's interconnected to the Middle Realm. That means that if the Middle Realm is destroyed, the 'moon' will be too.

Mortals, no matter how well trained, will have trouble dealing with the Abominations. However, the Sacrians do have a bit of a head start on them.
