So the Titanpad does not have the traffic I had originally hoped. I was waiting for more people to write on it, but that does not seem to be the case.

Should I just write the portion to set the rest of the plot in motion?

You now have free reign to post, and there should be no real restrictions anymore. Expect short narrator posts frequently to further plot, individually and overall, but expect longer Captain posts as well.
