Introduction
Introduction
Deep within rural Japan nestles a small village, named Onimura. Bordered by mountains on three sides, Onimura is detectable by few. It is often searched for by travellers or wanderers looking for the legendary 'demon village'. Those who find this small community are seldom allowed to leave, and slowly meld into the group. Onimura is picturesque, with plenty of delicate blossom trees that scatter their fairytale like petals across the stone cobbled floors and a glittering crystal clear river that runs through it's core. The buildings are historic, amazing visitors with their strength and durability. The shops are lit with paper lanterns and candles, welcoming guests and villagers alike. Onimura's community is small, but friendly. The elders are held in high regard, and the adults and older teenagers work to earn their money and help the community. The village is run by a group of Village Elders consisting of three men and two women. The five are led by Sayoko - a shrewd old woman with a vice for gluing to the rules. She is fair, gentle but firm. She has a crooked sense of humour and often enjoys a small prank or two to keep her elderly spirits lifted.
Within the heart of the village sits Onimura School. The uniform is a white shirt with navy and white collar, and a navy skirt with white knee socks for girls, or navy shorts or trousers for boys. The school has just two classes, as the population of the village is so small that it cannot span a normal number of class groups. The two class groups are separated by age. Class One is for eight to thirteen year olds. Class Two is for fourteen to nineteen year olds. Children under eight are often either home schooled, or sent to the next village for pre school, although unfortunately this pre school is over one hours journey away by train and one and a half by car. There are roughly twelve students in each class, but Class Two is about to rise to thirteen. Hisako Myou (meaning long lived and dark) is transferring from another school in Tokyo. Myou immediately seems different somehow. She radiates a tense darkness that threatens to suck in anyone who gets too close, and she often seems to be lost in herself, talking to nothing or acting like someone else. Rumours fly; her eyes apparently glow, her voice is said to change and she has been heard talking to herself. Some of the class have their doubts about her, and their ideas as to what she may be. Others want to help her settle in and be her friend. None of them suspect straight away that Myou is actually the reincarnation of a powerful demon. She is thousands of years old, stuck inside a seventeen year old girl's body. What will the arrival of demon girl Myou do to the quiet, quaint little village of Onimura.

Rules and Regulations
1~ This is fairly sandboxed, but events will happen and it will be posted in the OOC and as a RP post, if things get stale.
2~ The RP will start the morning of Myou first day at the school
3~ When reserving a role, post in OOC with a faceclaim with gif, font dialogue colour and a quote from your character
4~ Create your own CS but to be accepted it must be slightly creative, with fonts, colours, img and gifs and some sort of format.
5~ Most of all, have fun! ^3^

"First day...Let's see what this place is like!"
Bright, glittering sunlight streamed in through the frosted glass of Myou's window. The girl's eyelashes fluttered as the sunlight disturbed her slumber, causing her to wake slowly. Pushing herself up, she sat cross legged on her futon, stretching and rubbing her eyes. "Ah, so, today is the day. I will make my entrance at the school and see how the students greet me. No doubt I will be pushed aside and shunned. Yami, please don't make an appearance today..." At the mention of it's name, the demon that resided within the poor Myou stirred, offering it's usual sensation of butterflies within her tummy. Myou wrapped her arms around herself, her entire body filling with a brisk chill from the creature.
Myou was victim to a powerful demon. The ancient Yamishiro took hold of My's body when she lay practically dead on a hospital bead. The vile creature now lives within Myou, using her as a vessel to continue is tainted life. Myou does her best to act like it's not there, but suffers incredibly from bouts of aggression and rage. This is what Yami thrives on. Myou lives her life as though she suffers from a mental health illness, such as bi polar disorder or personality disorder. Deciding to make a conscious effort to continue with her now eternal life, Myou has made the choice to attend the local school. Today is her first day.
Rolling her futon away, Myou set about her normal morning routine. She made breakfast, tended to the flowers at the front of her house, fed her cat, and then prepared herself for school. She made a lunch of sushi and rice balls, decorating the rice to look like cute little pandas and the sushi to look like clownfish. She had a little bit of an artsy flare, so her food always looked like some kind of art and craft project. Deciding that everything was ready, Myou moved back to her bedroom where her school uniform was hung on the front of her wardrobe. The white and navy attire was smart, clean and crease free. This was it, this was the first day.

Myou clutched her bag in both hands, looking down at the floor as she carefully tread the mud paths to the school. The streets were quiet, except for a few other students on their bicycles. One sped by very close to Myou spraying up last night's rainwater onto her legs, causing a spark to ignite in the back of her mind. Yamishiro purred, drinking in the flare of annoyance that swirled around in the pit of Myou's stomach. "Please Yami..." she begged, desperate to get through at least one day without an appearance from the demonic being. Myou brushed her hair away from her face and continued her journey to school.
Once she arrived, she took her shoes off at the entrance and popped them in a small pigeon hole clearly labelled Hisako M. But now where...Damnit! In her eagerness, she had forgotten to ask where she was supposed to go on her first day! She stood in the entrance lobby, already feeling the embarrassment.

Rumors of a new student had been circulating ever since the teachers added a new nameplate to one of the unused shoe lockers. Hisako M. He didn't have the best memory, but after passing by it practically everyday, one had to learn. It helped that the name kept being thrown around in class, everyone excited just to see what kind of character they'd be getting in their rather monotonous school. Things were getting a little too comfortable around here.
As usual, his route to school included passing by nearby classmates houses, who were already heading out to meet him. It was like this everyday; at least four others would walk with him as they discussed whatever they did the night prior. Sometimes they'd cram their homework, similar to what Tsubaki was doing right now, using Akira's back as a table for his worksheet. "Baki, you should just text us every night about the homework. I feel like you're leaving grooves into my back." Well, at least he their science class was after lunch; he could use that period to cram if he didn't manage to finish it this morning. Unlikely, given the fact that despite his careless attitude, Tsubaki was the top of the class.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the school, and just as the blue-haired teenager predicted, Tsubaki had finished the problem questions. They came through the main entrance just in time to see an unfamiliar black-haired girl place her shoes into one of lockers. Her friends weren't idiots. Someone yelled out an "it's her!" and pretty soon the four he'd been with just before were already crowding around the girl, asking questions faster than anyone could answer.
"Okay guys, ease up. You're going to scare her out of her wits if you keep surrounding her like that." Just like that, they dispersed at his command, remaining at a respectable distance. Being the eldest as well as the "leader" of the class had its perks. He used the short reprieve to place his own shoes in his pigeon hole. With a cheerful grin ready, he walked to stand directly in front of the younger girl. "I'm Oshiro Akira!" He used a hand to point towards himself. "Akira or Aki's fine. You must be Hisako-chan. Welcome to Onimura, we're probably your classmates. Only two classes here, so there's only a 50/50 chance I'm wrong."

XXXXIt was a beautiful morning as far as Noa is concerned. She was in her school uniform, her school bag in hand, with her golden locks flowing behind her freely. She was quite a sight really, especially her features showcase her foreign blood. She was enjoying the peaceful walk towards school as Sakura trees lined up the pathway. The petals fluttering across the breeze like they were dancing to a tune only they could hear. The sight was enough to put a smile on her face as her blue eyes twinkled in delight similar to a child. The same scenery could be found in the big city at the parks, but in the countryside, there's just something magical. From that word alone, her imagination would soar to different facets. She couldn't help but daydreamed a little bit and if she could hum, she would have.
XXXX"Meow..."
XXXXThat sound alerted her as she looked at her feet and found a stray cat looking up at her. Her smile stretched as it reached to her eyes. She lowered herself to the ground and reached out her hand. The cat smelled her fingers for a bit before rubbing its face on it in an affectionate manner. She then patted its head lovingly as her face lit up as she remembered something. She gestured for the cat to wait as she rummaged through her bag. She remembered she had packed some tuna sandwiches. Her eyes widened in joy as she found what she was looking for and shared it with the cat who was happy with it. She watched the cat for a while before hearing some students calling her name. She raised her head to look and waved at her classmates who greeted her morning and then...
XXXX"Hey Noa-chan! You might be late again!"
XXXXHearing that, she quickly patted the cat's head and then jumped to her feet. She remembered that it was the first day of school. She can't be late especially when it would be her first day in her new class. She had planned to change her rather spacing-out moment and be more responsible, but, hey, it's a little bit hard. It was then that her leisurely walk turned into that of a sprint. People who are already used to Noa's late antics couldn't help but wish her good luck while others find humor in it. She had been living in Onimura for a year now. She wasn't that opposed to the idea of moving in here when it was said by her father. It was a way for them to begin a new chapter in life with still a link with the old one. Her mother was actually the one who wanted to move here back then... back when she was still alive.
XXXXShe was able to reach the school and still have some time to spare. This made her very happy as she looked at her wristwatch. She clapped both of her hands in joy while even jumping a bit. Her smile was so angelic and bright at that point, where some male students were blushing at her. Others looked at her funny while giving side comments, like congratulations, and nice going. She smiled at them without any hint of sarcasm. They were actually her classmates and her friends. She was rather pleased that her effort made it through. It was rather easy for her to adapt to her new hometown even when she was technically the new student just last year.
XXXXShe took a deep breath and combed her hair a bit. It might be a bit messy because of her rush. She was now accompanied by her classmates last year. They were talking about various things and particularly the news of a new transfer student. One asked her if she felt peeved since her reign as new student would be taken by someone else. Noa shook her head and then took out her small note pad and her pen. "Not really, I'm rather excited to see what the new student is like!" She wrote as she showed it to them happily. That's when another spoke. "It seems you got your wish, Noa-chan. There's the new kid." Her eyes landed on a black-haired girl being pointed at. The girl was surrounded by some boys. If she remembered correctly, they were from Class 2, the class she was going to be a part of from now on.
XXXXSomehow, she felt that this year would be a bit different than the last one, but that was just her feeling after all.

He's a longtime resident of Onimura so if your character's from a similar background they'd know each other.
