|Personality|
Jan isn't the type of person who went up to someone and introduced herself, most of her friends were the ones who came up to her and initiated their friendship. It may take a while for Jan to get used to anyone, she isn't very talkative unless she's comfortable with your presents. Though she isn't one to make her own friends like normal people do she is a rather good friend. She will be there when you need support or when you just want her to be. She tries not to depend on anyone at all unless it is absolutely needed. She's very honest and finds it hard to lie to anyone and when she feel uncomfortable with the situation she will most likely just stop talking all together. It is very hard for her to hide her feelings if she is upset, excited, happy you will know even if she doesn't want you to.

She is a very smart girl, she always has been. She's always had a thing for learning, it always came easy to her and no one understands it. With learning coming easy to her she's always loved it and believes there is always something new to learn everyday and tries to live by that logic. She had plans to attend Harvard and it didn't change from when she was in first grade until recently. However she does find it hard to accept when she's wrong in something, it makes her feel like she doesn't know anything.

|History|
Jan grew up as the youngest of three, she is the only one out of her siblings who was born with red hair and kept it. She has an older brother who is only a couple of years older than her and her older sister is almost five years older than she is. She has always been so much closer to her brother than her sister because of their age but it never really bothered her. From a young age she would pick up things quickly, crawling, eating with utensils, talking. She was always a good learner and her parents had high hopes for her. Their hopes were so high they sent her to private schools her whole life in hopes that would advance her learning and at least challenge her after realizing public schools were just not advanced enough for her. She blossomed in private school, straight A's through her whole school life.

During her middle school years her personality began to develop a little more and she had a hard time putting herself out there. People often gravitated to her which is how she met most of her friends. She also began hanging out with her brother less since he had gone into high school, which usually left her alone. However once she had started high school, her friends came much easier. Unfortunately that was when her health problems began popping up. She never complained about the pain or difficulties much only so she wouldn't feel like she was bothering her parents but soon it began to make her daily life difficult and was soon admitted into the hospital. For now she is focused on getting better and getting back to school and graduating to fulfill her dream of Harvard but it is looking like it may not happen as soon as she had hoped.

The Princess|| Anorexic|| Taken

The time was 10:00 am. Isabella had just gotten out of the shower, as she had been working out since 8 am. She always made sure to get up and do her exercise routine before nurse taylor would come to check on her, as she had begun to memorize her schedule she was working on cheating her out.

She exited the little bathroom she had in her room, thank god she had a single, even if it was because she was deemed unstable, she'd take what she could get.

Her room was pretty nice, as nice as it can get in a hospital, i guess. She had a full length mirror in the top left corner of my room, with a vanity right next to it for her to do her makeup. To the right she had small dresser with a vase of roses sitting on it, and on either side of the dresser was a baby pink beanbag and the other was a lavender color. She had a nightstand beside her bed that was stacked with magazines, books, and cd's. on her walls she had quotes, photos, and lights strung up. She did a well done job.

however she now had to focus on getting out of her room before nurse taylor came. She loved nurse taylor, she just didn't love the idea of being given a feeding tube because she was refusing to eat. you see, it seems so easy to just put the food in your mouth until you actually have to do it. it should be the easiest goddamned thing in the world, but it's not.

She could try blaming this on her dad visiting her last week, which resulted in her having a panic attack, which then resulted in her spending a week in the psych ward, which resulted in being tubed because she couldn't bring herself to eat, but even if her dad didn't show up, would things truly be different? well, she'd still be anorexic and she'd still be a mess, so i guess not.

once she had my outfit picked out, which consisted of black leggings and a white v-neck sweater paired with white heels. She put on the necklace Adam gave her a while ago, it had a little heart charm on it and was very pretty. Isabella smiled softly before sitting down at her vanity, brushing out her hair that fell in loose curls down my back. She proceeded to do her makeup, nothing too crazy, but nothing super minimal either. she was just trying to focus at not looking at her body when she stood up, but it got her everytime. at this point she's not even sure if she knew what she truly looked like, her self image was just so skewed.

once Isabella cleaned everything up, she opened the drawer in her nightstand and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, going ahead and lighting one and stopping for her five minute cigarette break. she went ahead and disposed of the evidence, now deciding she should hurry up and make her escape, grabbing her phone and food journal as she headed out.

She made her way to the cafeteria, passing by Elyse's room to see that there was now an extra bed in there. so, she was getting a roommate(Janelle)? interesting, She'll be anticipating to see how this plays out. but she will be making sure to give the new girl a spectacular welcome, of course.

when she reached the cafeteria she knew she had to get something so that hopefully when nurse taylor found her she would let her off the hook for at least "trying." Isabella got in line and the special for breakfast today was chocolate chip pancakes with a banana and a muffin as sides, as well as a glass of orange juice. She took my tray, said thank you, and then took a seat at our group's usual table, finding herself to be the first one there.

Jake Bellerose sat alone. In the corner, as he had most days since he was checked into the hospital. With him sat his plate, on which sat three bananas and a muffin, his journal, and a glass of milk. There he had sat, and there he had silently watched the other patients go about their breakfasts, talk with their friends, and generally find happiness despite the less then fortunate events that had landed them in this miserable place. Jake was far from happy. He was, in his opinion, out of shape. Granted, this thought was largely untrue. Jake was still significantly more in shape then the majority of boys his age. But the doctors had advised that he ceased his normal workout routine until after his body had adjusted to the his new medications.

However, Jake was not only unhappy. Jake was also lonely. He had barely talked to any of the other young patients in this hospital. He had a room to himself, which would likely be considered a blessing by many, but this, coupled with his newly hurt self esteem, had caused him to avoid contact with his fellow patients. He had no one to, for lack of a better word, commiserate with. And had, over the past month slowly and methodically bottled away all of his feelings of self-loathing and inadequacy that had came with his diagnoses.

And so Jake sat. Alone. At a corner table. In the cafeteria in the pediatric ward of the Arden Hill Hospital in Los Angeles. Feeling small and helpless and alone. And he watched as a very attractive girl from his ward, whos name he had not yet learned walked into the cafeteria and got her tray. He watched as she sat at the table, that the other teenagers always sat at. The possibility of getting up and sitting with them had occurred to him a great many times over the past month, but he had always decided against it. They all already seemed like such good friends. And he likely wouldn't fit in. But then he would mentally attack himself for deciding against it.

He was Jake Bellerose. He was the high school football captain. He was confident. He was charming. He was perfect. Well. He WAS Jake Bellerose, football captain, most popular guy in school, confident, charming, and perfect. Now he was Jake Bellerose, a mentally shattered hospital patient. His self esteem was as broken as his liver. He was, in many ways, a hollow shell of his former self.

On the car ride there she was quiet, despite everyone's attempt to make conversation or to make this sound like it wasn't as bad as it seemed. Jan begged her parents not to make her go to the hospital, she spent days trying to convince them that she was healthy enough to stay home but nothing worked. Of course her condition was getting worse, according to the doctors, but she didn't want to live away from her family. Now they were on their way to the hospital, on her way to her new life that she didn't even want.

When they arrived her dad parked and helped her with her bags, and when I say helped I mean carried about 90% of them. they went inside, with Janelle following quietly and as far behind as possible but close enough so she wouldn't get lost. At the front desk the woman smiled and dealt with her parents while she just scanned the area. It seemed nice, as nice as a hospital could be. There were a lot of teens here, people her age which meant her parents would expect her to make friends. Making friends wasn't something She was good at, not because she was a bad person and no one liked her she was just quiet and wasn't the type to make friends herself. Pretty soon a woman, probably a nurse, walked up to them and lead them to Janelle's new room. The nurse talked about the hospital with her parents, and mentioned things to Jan that she thought would help her be more comfortable.

Her room, which she would be sharing, wasn't too bad. Two beds, on opposite walls and half the room was furnished and decorated while the other side was bare. Her father put her bags at the foot of her bed and she took a seat on it. "Please don't make me stay here. I feel fine." She said giving her parents the look she'd been giving them for the past few weeks, that look that is supposed to make them feel guilty but it never seemed to work. "Jan, we aren't doing this to hurt you. It's just better for you to be here than at home. This way you can get help whenever you need it. We won't have to worry about not making it to the hospital if you're already in one." Her mother said sitting next to her on the bed and wrapped her arms around her.

So for the next five minutes there were tears and a million goodbye's and promises of frequent visits before she watched her parents drive off from the room window. She sat looking out the window even after she could no longer see the car. The nurse who had shown her to her room came in "There is breakfast in the cafeteria. I could take you there if you're hungry." The woman's voice was slightly sympathetic, which Jan hated. "Already ate." She said looking at the woman's reflection through the window. She nodded and left the girl alone once again.

After some time of eating in relatively awkward silence and broken bits of conversation, Henry decided it would be good to go and lie down a bit, as the medication started kicking in. He merely mumbled a half-hearted 'see you next meal', before limping off towards his room. He then noticed a new face.

It was noticible because he had been here for some time and it wasn't like people came and went on the daily basis. No, you were only here if you were gonna be in for a while. "You lost?" He asked her.

She'd found her way back to the cafeteria but even then there were three other ways she could go. She should have written it down, she normally writes this stuff down. Should she ask a nurse, but they seem pretty busy and she hated asking for help even if she needed it. It wasn't like this was the end of the world, she would eventually find her room again."You lost?" She looked up and saw a guy standing there. She didn't want to embarrass herself more by telling him that she'd forgotten her room number but at the same time it would take her forever to find her room again.

"I can't remember my room number. I didn't want to ask a nurse in fear of looking stupid so I figured wandering around I'd eventually find it. She rambled saying more than she needed to. He was handsome, not particularly her type but looks were never that important to her anyway. Then again it was her first day, she didn't expect to make friends on the first day.

She hadn't even noticed that he had a cane until he shifted which made her conscious to try and not stare or bring it up. "I can probably figure out which room is yours through deduction. Given the fact you're going around freely, you must have a room with a roommate, else there'd be personell breathing over your shoulder in a slightly disturbing manner and we would be having a very different conversation. Also, your hospital wristband would be a different color," she glanced down at her wristband, she hadn't even noticed it was put on her. She couldn't remember when it was put on, possibly when she'd got there in the first place.
"And you've ignored it, I guess since it's you're first day and all...it must be so hurt, that wristband." She chuckled "I'm sure it understands, She said smiling down at it, "I do have a roommate though, Um, her name was Elsy or something like that. I don't remember, I wasn't paying much attention when the nurse mentioned her.

Meanwhile, Chloe Hayes had just had her left foot examined and they discovered bone spurs in the ankle area, which was the cause of her collapse on the court at her high school. She was scheduled for surgery in due time. She sat in her bed awaiting the next days before the surgery. She was very nervous about what was to happen next. She knew her high school basketball career was over for at least a year or two.

Chloe was 15 years old, about 5'9", 145 pounds, athletic build, blonde hair, blue eyes. She didn't have too many friends. Maybe being in the hospital would help her find some.
