Alessa growled slightly as she watched Derek storm out of the door. His response was both what she expected, and not at all what she saw coming. True, having Adonis as a young vampire would be hard since he would have no training and a horrible bloodlust. But, Alessa believed that if they changed him, the Fallen would be less tempted to take him away. She suspected that having the blood pets was dangerous, as the Fallen would find them good bait to get the Forbearers to attack. If the blood pets became vampires, perhaps the Fallen would lose their interest in them.
Nonetheless, Alessa let Derek leave. Now was certainly not the time to argue. A discussion could happen later. She watched as Adonis began trying to clean up. Sighing, she made her way over to him. Finding him by the garage, she noticed the shovel and figured out his motive. Cleaning the home wouldn't do much good. "Adonis," she began. "Cleaning will not do any good. There is too much evidence and it might cause suspicion. We will just have to burn the house down." She looked up at him, trying to see in his eyes what he was thinking. "I'm sorry I did not consult you before speaking to everyone. I should have asked your opinion as to whether you wanted to be immortal."
