Meghan has always considered herself just your everyday, run-of-the-mill high-school girl. A humble and friendly person by nature, she is much more interested in maintaining friendships and hanging out with friends, getting to know the people around her, and learning new things than she had ever been in fame, fortune, or even romance. She wants to sing because she is half-Japanese, so she can get away with being in the j-pop industry, she speaks the language, and enjoys singing. Perhaps the greatest drive behind her desire to be a j-pop singer, however, is the fact that she will get to travel all over the place and meet all sorts of new people. She does not even think that her voice is that good - she just thinks it’s good enough that she can become a minor idol who sings commercials and makes small-time records, or something. She has no idea of her own talent. Which is, in the end, why her friends dragged her here and made her expose herself to the world. They’re forcing her to sing in the Masquerade.

She came totally unprepared.

Meghan is the half-Japanese daughter of an American woman and a man she has never met. She was conceived on her mother’s vacation in Osaka, and her mother knows nothing of the man who gave Meghan life. Nevertheless, her mother made sure to teach her about that half of her culture, being fluent in Japanese herself. She encouraged her daughter’s passion for performance and j-pop. She is a bit of a flaky, wild woman, but Meghan loves her, and would do anything for her.
Including get up on stage and sing, no matter how scary that is to her.
