Umm, so like I was watching the American Idol finale and I saw their rockers. I fell in fucking love with them <3. So needless to say I've been wanting to do this role-play where like an old rock band has to deal with this new rocker band, who literally start shit with each other, until two of teh members in the band start dating. So basically a story on how these people get along.
Music is an amazing business.
Unless you're two rival bands that absolutely hate each other.
Crashing Heart shot to fame in the late nineties. They were a rock band, and are still making music today. For the most part, their new music has drawn in new fans without alienating the old ones, and there's seldom a rock fan who doesn't know at least one of their songs. They've reached iconic status, and thousands of people in the USA and all over the world aspire to be them.
But then August Burns starts their ascent to stardom. Their sound is modern. It's edgy. It's different. It's everything that Crashing Heart used to be- but also nothing alike. August Burns is entirely new- yet they're constantly being compared to Crashing Heart. At first, it was great- the older band gave them a boost, especially when the band made a special guest appearance during one of Crashing Heart's festival sets, and later appeared in a music video.
Everything changes though, and not always for the better. The lead singer of Crashing Heart started to date one of the lead singers of August Burns, and the bands did not take it very well. August Burns was tired of being compared to , and Crashing Heart were starting to be replaced by August Burns for publicity events. But when it became big news, they were told that they'd have to deal with it. Crashing Heart's name was back in the press, and August Burns got more and more interviews. As if the two bands didn't have enough of each other, a co-headline world tour was organized. But their issues were by no means settled, and the good relations were starting to becomes strained. Will they be able to resolve their issues? Will they just survive the tour? Or will they crash and burn?
-- Crashing Heart is a band, that was started when the band were all in their high school years. All knowing each other since they were kids. They always had the dream of making it big time, so they played instruments from their fourth grade year and up. Eventually becoming one of the most world renown rock band in the world. They've even started to have their own romance with their groupies and sometimes old friends. They've reached the highest point --

-- All contestants on a national wide talent show, they were all told they would last better if the formed a band. They've known each other since then, for around six years. They have all formed this tight knit family, since some of them are the black sheep of their family and aren't close with them. The two lead singers are best friends who 'run' the band and help their manager. They are all sick of being compared to some band that's normally on the oldies station. They want to make a name for themselves. --
