Ⅴ Occupation Ⅴ
Yóumù played an ambiguous role in society at best. Selling herself out to be a crafty thief, a vicious assassin and a self-proclaimed defender of whatever settlement she had decided to take temporary refuge. However, Yóumù has recently opted to re-assign herself into the monster hunting business instead, although does sometimes fall back on her old habits.
Ⅵ Primary Weapon Ⅵ
The eclipse and the crescent moon, or, as their shared name implies; New Eclipse, are Yóumù's favoured weapons. The hook swords are fairly unconventional and, to put it matter of factly, impractical weapons (That, and belonging to a "hard to learn, hard to master" category, it's not a weapon someone would pick up on a whim.), their wide array of uses in- and outside of combat have befitted Yóumù's day-to-day survival well. While they're sharpened enough to inflict injuries, their main application seems to be to debilitate adversaries through the use of the "hook" by either tripping or disarming them.
Ⅶ Secondary Weapon Ⅶ
Yóumù's secondary weapon is a thin-plated gauntlet strapped to her left arm. While designed to be a burden to her movements as little as possible, it retains an incredible durability which allows Yóumù to, first and foremost, utilize the gauntlet as a means to block any conventional melee attack that she can't, or has no intention of dodging. However, it serves as an excellent weapon when incorporated to be her dominant hand in hand-to-hand combat, but the razor-sharp blade attached to the elbow joint gives her another means to injure opponents, although truth be told she finds it extremely tedious to use it consciously.
Ⅷ Non-Combat Skills Ⅷ
➣ Survivalist ~ Yóumù is fairly resourceful when it comes to surviving harsh terrains where there is nothing but thick wilderness and savage beasts to keep you company. Her abilities don't extend much further than the ability to track footprints, identifying useful, and perhaps edible, resources and crafting primitive tools one can use to endure the wilds. However, she manages enough to be able to survive for weeks - if not months without ever seeing civilisation.
➣ Contortionist ~ Performing moves and actions that made you'd swear her bones were made from elastic rubber, Yóumù's unusual litheness and flexibility has been a welcomed gift whenever she had to squeeze out of firm grips, or navigate claustrophobic spaces that would even have a mouse think twice before running through.
➣ Big Meanie ~ At times, situations call for more than just action. Being good with words is often overlooked as a valuable skill to hone. While she couldn't swindle a king out of his own castle, Yóumù has a certain way with words that, when accompanied with simple gestures, stances and glares, make her fairly convincing when the moment calls for it. Plus, having a bark to match your bite is never really a bad thing, right?
♡ Ruthless ♡ Impartial ♡ Level-headed ♡ Selfish ♡ Frank ♡
As someone who shrouds herself in an air of mystique, Yóumù has a fairly neutral demeanour in a sense that she has a wayward manner of approaching things. She has a hard time confiding with the rules and views of others, and selfishly enforces her own needs and desires above those of anyone else's when she feels it is justified to do so. Still, despite her often egocentric ways, Yóumù shows a great deal of empathy and understanding about the views of other people, even going as far as willingly discarding her own philosophy should theirs exceed hers, though has a tendency to feign lacking said ability in order to stay focused on what she finds important.
With that said, inwardly Yóumù is an idealist. She can't stand injustice, and has a certain degree of kinship to those she considers wronged and abused by people that believe who are much greater than them. Contradictory, one might say, especially with her resume of nothing but said injustice, but that is merely deduced from what people decide to see in Yóumù while blindfolding themselves to the bigger picture. Sure she has partaken in theft, arson and even murder for nothing more than a weighty sack of shiny gold, but her victims were cut from a similar type of cloth.
Ⅱ The Reason Why Ⅱ
If you were to ask Yóumù, she'd reply that it is merely the ambiguous nature surrounding the Soulstone that has piqued her curiosity about it, and that this is the sole reason for wanting to find it. And although this is certainly part of that reason, Yóumù holds a deep-rooted desire to obtain the Soulstone and restore the glory that her people, her family, has lost in the ongoing corruption of the world.
Ⅲ Biography Ⅲ
Beyond the tallest and roughest cluster of mountains and past the wildest forests lies a barren wasteland long pecked and then abandoned by major civilisations. A desert that seems to stretch out even further than the horizon itself, where no sane man or animal would dare trod, a land without kings or laws to reign over it. Yóumù hails from these very lands, born and raised in a culture that was believed to have been erased from existence many years ago. A small clan, a nomadic clan that traverses barren lands that were once their mighty throne overlooking a golden empire of wealth and power. Yóumù was used to a simple life in which beggars could never be choosers, learning to deal with the harshness of nature and the unwelcoming treatment if they were ever forced to trade with outsiders.
She never enjoyed that life. It was rotten, and undeserved. From the magnificent tales her elders lividly told around the nightly bonfires, Yóumù wondered why their empire, why their people had been cast down from their high standing. She never learned that reason, but the unsightly treatment that her kind was being given by mere outsiders led her to the desire to find that reason, and so she left her family behind in search for a greater purpose. Yóumù traveled to Tarantia, where she made a living out of giving the corrupt their just desserts, turning to thievery and assassination contracts in order to survive the day-to-day. She became known as a protector of the abused, loved by the wronged for her selfless protection and hated by the vile and wicked for disrupting their plans.
With the nature of her professions, Yóumù has found it too much of a hassle to actively pursue a relationship. Not that she would be able to hold onto one in the first place. Perhaps the occasional one time fling whenever she had the urge, but an actual partner that she could settle down with has yet to cross her path.
