Ashton laughed, then got somewhat depressed. "Well... Of course they do. They're trying to show off how rich they are." He looked down at the floor before he looked at Rose. "I have to go change. I'll be right back. I think you'll blend in fine here." He smiled a little as he walked away, losing sight of Rose behind him in the large crowd of people. He walked up a large marble staircase which he thought was definitely uncalled for because as he walked down those stairs with his outfit on, it was like he was screaming "Look at me!" Even though he wanted to say, "Just look away... You're all super annoying."
He reached his room and opened his closet. He had three sets of suits and he thought of which one would go best with Rose's dress. He decided to go with the normal black because cyan doesn't really go with red or grey... At least, he didn't think so. He tried to get dressed as quickly as he could so he could get back to the party where Rose was waiting.
After he had changed, he had a number of elaborate masks that were part of his "personal selection". His mother really picked them out, but she didn't people to know that. She wanted people to think he had a nice sense of style. He really hated most clothing, it was just a way to catch people's eyes and draw them to you. He decided on a small black mask that had a feather sticking out of the top. After he put it on, he realized that he looked like he was going to a Mardi Gras funeral. He laughed at the thought. He decided that he needed to add some color, so he put a cyan colored handkerchief in his front suit pocket for a little spunk. He put on also put on a cyan colored tie.
When he finished dressing, he walked out of his room and walked down the marble staircase. He looked around at the guests and the girls literally screamed with joy. Those girls are so annoying... They always cling to me. He walked past them, though many of the girls followed him. He looked around for Rose. Hopefully he'd be able to find her in this large crowd.
