Strengths: Leo is a mechanical genius. If it's made of metal, he can fix it, and even make it better. Also, the kid is a young MacGuyver. He can can create the most complex of object and inventions from the simplest of things.

Physical Description:At 5'8" Leo stands at the shorter side of the average approximate height for someone his age. He weighs in at 154 so he is pretty light yet he has enough muscle to work in machinery for the most part. He has Hazel eyes and lightly tanned skin. His is usually seen wearing his Engineers smock and baggy pants. Also, in the picture his arm is robotic, disregard that, Both arms are intact and normal. Most of the he is wearing what, at first glance, appears to be a normal backpack, however, it is actually one of Leo's inventions, a flightpack. When activated, a pair of metal wings slide out the sides, and a High power Air pressure thruster slides out the bottom of it. He can steer with the Mobiboots.

Personality Description: Leo is very upbeat and energetic, though despite his youthful vigor, circumstances in his life have caused him to be mature for his age, Having suffered pain beyond his years and the loss of someone very dear to him (Cogswell Mk.1). He is also very close to the captain, and his loyalty is solid as the toughest steel, Yet he is not afraid to speak up to him if the situation demands it. Also, when working on technology, It is his domain. The Engine room is off limits to anyone except to the Captain and First mate unless invited or sent by the Captain. Leo also becomes very irritable when being called away from his work, but he doesn't hold grudges for long and is not a person to stay angry or down for long, except against the Sky Empire.

Bio/History Leo has always been the tinkering type. His building blocks were his favorite toys as a child, he would always build something that kept his parents amazed. He did not live in a rich family, so they did not have the finances to put him in any academies that specialized in his creative abilities, Yet this served as no impediment to his creative growth. Leo continued to build and create. His father brought him a step up with a car that he had always worked on. At the age of twelve Leo's father had brought him to the garage and showed him the functions of the car and what each part did, after doing so, that same day he also gave Leo his first real toolset. He gave Leo the car (Which was to be scrapped anyway) To basically fool with, With this he learned for the next year, pulling out pieces, cleaning them, and combining this in multiple ways. While he did not rebuild the car, He ended up doing something more amazing by a hundredfold.
At the age of 14, He created Cogswell. A mechanical Owl made of the used car parts. Using clockwork mechanics, steam power, and sheer ingenuity, Leo had created a living mechanical being. Cogswell survived off of the moisture in the air, While also using its own steam, it absorbed moisture into a chamber, which served as a heating core. This was the heart and lungs of Cogswell. This was expected to get him automatic entry to the most prestigious air academies Though that was not the case.
A few months after this they recieved a visit from Empereal officials. They offered him a job to work for them designing military weapons. But you Leo turned it down. They insisted, yet he rejected every offer. Their offers soon became threats, making it obligatory for him to work for them, Yet he still said no. One day their door was kicked down, and the house was ransacked. The men were soldiers of the sky empire. They destroyed everything, including Cogswell, and during the assault Leo's father was severely hurt. Finally Leo agreed. Though it was too late for his father. Though he wasnt killed, He was left paralysed from the waist down. Leo worked for two years at a plant, inventing machinery, weapons, and designing engines, all against his will. But one day his luck changed.
The factory was attacked by an unknown group of assailants. Leo stayed in a supply room while the event took place. But he was not safe. The door to the supply room opened, Revealing a tall silhouette of a man. His eyes adjusted to the sudden change in light to show a man, about low thirtyish. His most distinguishable feature, however, were the huge Mechanical arms. An android, and an important one it seemed, judging by his uniform, however he definitely was not an empire grunt. Leo stood up and looked at the man
"Get me out of here" were his only words. The man seemed to acknowledge that leo was not of the empire, or at least not by choice. Leo helped with the ransack of the plant, and chose to follow Surge along.
During his adventures, he had grown to respect Surge and serve under him as a shipwright, His natural talent with machinery becoming a huge advantage to the crew. And Leo had enough freedom to be able to construct his most prized possession to this day: Cogswell Mk. II. Leo Would often offer to fix and upgrade Surge's arms, Though a yes was rare.
