Introduction
Earth. Once a lush and happy planet, now one riddled with war, crime, and above all, death. It could have started with the invention of nuclear bombs, many many years ago, or it could have been more recent. But people understood... they definitely got it, they needed to move on, to leave, to live a better existence. But things don't always work out the way that they are meant to.
It seemed like such an innocent and beautiful idea at the time. Make a false o-zone layer to hold in oxygen on a new planet, terraform it so that it became like earth once was... but it didn't turn out that way. The planet was great in concept, give people a chance at new life, to get away from the harshness of the world, but again, concept ideas are always better than the actual thing. The planet turned to mostly desert, and what was meant to be filled with peaceful people, became a dreadful planet full of outlaws.
People establish their own law, and now, the only place that it's possible to find peace, is at the end of a barrel. A place where the weak are not even allowed to dream.

Alright, now there are a few things you need to know. This planet (We'll call it Eden for the sake of nostalgia) is much like that of the old west. Most weapons are very difficult to get their hands on, as most who knew how to make most of what we know now, are either dead, or back on earth. Most types of guns that we consider "Modern" are very rare, and would be very difficult to come across. Technology is rated differently, with a simple and easy to understand classification system, ranging from "D" to "S" class.
"D" class tech is actually more rare then it's name suggest, mainly because they consist of pre-revolver tech, including flintlock pistols, and swords. "C" class technology is the most common, and consists of revolvers, and early vehicles. "B" class tech is rare, and mainly consists of "Modern" weapons and equipment. "A," and "S" class technology is near impossible to find, and are usually lumped together, consisting of things like particle weapons (particle weapons being energy weapons, including energy blades.)
"D" class technology is a mystery to most people, and very few know how to repair or make any of it. Just about everyone knows basic maintenance and repair for "C" class technology, but specialist are required for heavy repair or crafting. Only about fifty people fully understand and really know how to do anything with "B" class tech, and even fewer know the art of crafting them. On the entire planet, there are only two people who understand how to repair, make, and do just about anything besides fire "A" and "S" class technology.
Advances in technology have made one type of "A" class tech very common. That being, genetic modification. Everything from the color of your hair to the tone of your skin can now be changed, making it very easy for criminals to go into hiding. It's rarer, but still fairly common place to see genetic modifications that can change a persons speed, strength, and reaction time.
Any more questions and you'll have to ask... because I'm sure I left something very important out.

"Second question, you aren't planning to make off with the goods on the way back, are you? If you try to, I'm forced to stop you." Daniel's appearance did not give off such a vibe of threatening though, even his voice was slightly boyish and non-intimidating. "I'm very loyal to my employer, and I do not want anything to happen to him."

Yeah, sorry, i tend to nit pick about the little details like this. XD
Re: [OOC] Frontier
Yes, this is not earth that this is taking place on. A few animals will be here, all imported for food (cows, chicken, pigs). It's more of a Nevada type desert, though there will be a few places where there are sand dunes and sandstorms. Just as well... I'll save that nugget of information later. As for water, there are all kinds of lakes and rivers, but about 80% of them have settlements built around them.
Re: [OOC] Frontier
If I understood the Description correctly, this takes place on a colony world other than earth.
Are there any wildlife to be aware of? Imported or indigenous?
What kind of terrain does the planet have? It was described as a desert, so is it a Nevada kind desert or a Egypt kind of desert?
How common is it to find water outside of towns?
Terra-forming was mentioned in the description, are there man made lakes, Rivers, etc?
