Introduction
It is not all bad news, however, as a new Shield class world has been discovered. The name 'Enigma' has been decided on for referencing the planet, and true to its name, the Brutes and Flood have yet to discover its location, although intelligence fears this is only a temporary arrangement, which is why I have been instructed to request any battle hardened soldiers you can spare be shipped to Enigma immediately. This is only the beginning, and if other reports are accurate, it will only get worse. Earth is gone, several colonies have gone dark, and the 2nd Recon Flotilla has suffered near annihilation this month driving off the most recent Brute fleet incursion. If there was ever a time for us to hope and pray, and come up with a miracle plan, now is the time..”

Report: Covenant Schism/Internal Affairs
Date: 2552 November 25
With no word from the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, and all personnel related to the pursuit of the Prophet of Regret MIA, we are forced to rely on what the Sangheili have told us occurred. The Prophets, using the Jiralhanae to replace the increasingly hard to control Sangheili, evicted the fleets, which engaged in fierce ship to ship fighting. By this point, reports of a 'Demon' (Note: High chances of this demon being John-117, reinforcing the MIA status beyond the normal standing orders) by both intercepted loyal Covenant communique and recently shared information by Sangheili 'allies'. The Flood (See Documentation on the parasite species) were also confirmed, and the Sangheili forces lost more ships to infestation than Jiralhanae action. Their methods were extreme, and foolish, as capture rather than destruction could have led to development of weapons capable of combating the Flood means of reproduction and combat. Capture of subjects is a priority, due to the Gravemind's ability to project its control through lesser Flood hubs, and the crashed Jiralhanae vessel from a recently driven off attack by the Covenant remenants pointed to the chieftain's quarters doubling as what appeared to be a control signal booster, which makes what follows even more disturbing.
The bodies of Jiralhanae leadership on the vessel itself showed signs of a strain of Flood infection unique to the leaders alone. It allows, as far as medical examination can tell, control of the entire remnant of the Covenant, as the Jiralhanae currently hold complete power over the fleet, while the Prophets are all but extinct now, having no viable use to the Flood beyond fuel. New protocols for units returning from combat in theaters that saw Flood presence are being enacted, to check for this potential infiltration by unwitting agents of the Flood Gravemind. This Gravemind started on the Halo installation that the Spirit of Autumn came across, and has grown beyond surgical elimination. Casualties of early Flood encounters were roughly between 95% to 99%, and a full 100% in some cases, while later Marine, ODST, and other special forces were trained to properly fight the Flood, reducing casualties when facing the parasitic species.
The loss of the Sergeant Major Johnson, who was supposedly immune to Flood infection processes, as well as a product of the ORION Project, will prove equally problematic to bypass while searching for less extreme methods of dealing with the Flood. While we can assume the majority of the crew and Marine detachment of the UNSC Spirit of Autumn and accompanying Sangheili are dead, the case of John-117 and AI Cortana are another matter. They have proven that odds mean nothing, so a tentative MIA rating will be marked until further information can be gathered. There is nothing else of serious note to report, and a Internal Affairs attachment is below for your perusal and record keeping. God Speed, Director.

Re: Halo: Project Enigma
*cough* III's suck *cough cough*
Anywho, personal discrepancies aside, my knowledge of the Halo timeline is lacking but I do know a good bit of the mythos. I hope this is still active, being that it's fairly recent.
Hope we don't go MIA, but at least we'll never die. "Okay, purple hearts for everyone!"
Edit: Okay, I feel like an ass for missing that, but I just perused the intro again. I'm guessing spartans aren't an option. I gotta admit, that's a pretty big bummer considering this is the only good Halo rp I've seen so far. Though as a feeble "last chance" effort to maybe gain a spartan character, I would like to point out that the Halo storyline has gave tons of ways to introduce new surviving spartans. Whether through successful resuscitation of those in cryo-stasis who died during augmentation, the rehabilitation of ones that were injured, the return of ones that really were just MIA, or ONI being a secretive bastard and having a private stock of SPARTAN-II's as a sort of last chance security detail just in case the sh*t hits the fan. Which it has. So, you know, it's possible. Just sayin'.
