[ OOC: I do expect everyone that is intending on creating a character to have already read EVERYTHING on the introduction, including the rules. The background is rather important to know about, if you don't read everything then I'm sure you will be very confused right from the beginning. ]

The Order of Replying

We never thought it would turn out this way. We were the stronger race. We were the superior race. We thought that we were doing them a favour just as much as they were doing one for us. We did not hunt any of them, and they hunted those who tried to get close to us. We thought the Truce would stand the test of time. Unfortunately we were mistaken.

The Beginning

There have been many myths and legends on how the two races were created, though there has been one that has lasted through the centuries. It is the one that is most often told and heard. Naturally, there have been just as many variations of the story. This is the version that I have always known:

A very long time ago, there was a beautiful young maiden of only seventeen. She had long chestnut hair that was always plaited, her eyes were a very shocking grey, her skin was rather pale which was considered very beautiful in her time. She had spent all day in town running various errands and visiting with friends. She hadn't even noticed that it was getting dark out until the sun had completely set, and there was a curfew in her town, unfotunately she was on the wrong side of town. There was little chance of her making it all the way across town to her home in time for the curfew. On top of that she was already rather tired from her very long day.

None of her friends lived very close to where she was either. Fortunately, a young handsome man was heading to his home, and recognized the hopeless look on her face and invited her to stay at his place that evening. She couldn't think of a reason to refuse, besides he seemed to have only good intentions.

So, she accepted his offer and decided that it wasn't worth the risk trying to get home with the looming curfew. He offered her a bed in the spare room, and she quickly fell asleep. But, in the middle of the night, she woke up very frightened! She had the most awful nightmare! She dreamed that she was in the pits of hell, the burning sensation of the fire felt very real. She was surrounded by hundreds of demons, all of them looking at her like she was to be their next meal. They were just about to attack her when she woke up. She was sweating and her sheets were tangled about her, and her breath was very short.

Too embarrassed to wake anyone, she tried her best to fall back to sleep. Eventually, she did get back to sleep, and once she did she fell into a sleep so deep that she didn't wake until late the next morning. She decided that it would probably be best to return home as quickly as she could. She was planning on thanking the young man again for offering her a bed for the night, but when she looked for him, he was no where to be found. Not thinking too much about it she left for home.

There was no explanation that she could think of for what happened next. She claimed that it started that evening, she felt very ill. At first she thought that it was something she had eaten that day. But, that theory quickly changed when the illness seemed to continue. Eventually she did have to call a physician. He told her that she was pregnant, which naturally didn't make any sense to her. But, after a few months it became quite obvious that she was pregnant. The village people started to refer to her as the Virgin Mary, since she wasn't married yet and therefore had no opportunity to even get pregnant.

She was called the Virgin Mary up until the moment that she gave birth, after that she was called various names, all to do with the Devil and demons. She bore not one but two sons and they could hardly pass as human. One of them had hair all over his body and eyes that mirrored the moon. The other's skin was ice cold and pale white, his eyes were as red as fresh blood. Neither of them cried when they were born, in fact they all thought they were stillborn until they opened their eyes and took their first breath.

The mother was quickly arrested and brought in for questioning about her sons. She of course had no explanation for them, which led the church to believe that she had been seduced by the Devil himself and she must die for her sins.

It is said that those two sons were the very first Werewolf, and the very first Vampire. The Werewolves all have grey eyes, and the Vampires all have very pale skin, just like their mother.

There is no proof of how real this myth is, but if so then the war between the Werewolves and Vampires is a war of cousins. This story is one that both sides tell, therefore it is assumed that it is the closest thing to the truth. It is also the only thing that the two races can actually agree on.

The Truce

Many years later, the two races thrived, both sides numbering in the millions. There was an unspoken hatred between the two races. It wasn't until about four hundred years after the creation of Vampires and Werewolves when they first started the war between them. It appeared that it would be never ending, after all both races held the gift of immortality and there were only a few known ways that either race could be destroyed. Nevertheless, there were ways and thousands of both Werewolves and Vampires were destroyed. The war lasted the better part of a century. Near the end, the older Vampires and Werewolves, otherwise known as the Elders and Alphas had had enough. They were sick and tired of the fighting.

The Truce began with secret meeting of the Elders. They wanted to draw up an agreement that both races could agree on and something that would last centuries. It took the Elders a few years to agree on absolutely everything but it was eventually finished at given to everyone that was involved in the war.

It definitely took some convincing, but eventually everyone agreed to the Truce and signed it. It seemed to be the perfect Truce and one that would be everlasting.

The Agreement

The Truce stated that the Vampires and Werewolves would not hunt each other for any reason whatsoever, which was of course the main reason for the Truce, but there was also another section that made the Truce very important. Since Vampires couldn't stand to be in sunlight, and Werewolves weren't fond of the night because it meant that the moon was out, they would protect each other. The Werewolves protecting the Vampires during the day, and the Vampires protecting the Werewolves at night, both at times where one or the other race was at their most vulnerable.

For a time the agreement seemed to work perfectly. During that time, the population of Werewolves and Vampires flourished, reaching their highest population, a number in the millions.

The Beginning of the End

The Vampires truly believed that the Werewolves were the lower race. They thought that the Vampires were stronger, more advanced.. More everything. In fact, it had been proven countless times that the Vampires were the superior race. Werewolves thought that the Vampires were stuck up and not worth their time. So, it was a mutual feeling of dislike, despite the treaty.

It began with one young werewolf. He believed that his race was the superior one. His name was Wulfric. Wulfric certainly had a mind of his own, but in the beginning he conformed to the society he was brought into. He was quiet for quite some time but the same routine eventually became boring and he decided that it was about time that the whole nonsense about the Truce. He started with a few rumours here and there and eventually, there were hundreds of werewolves ready to revolt.

There were many meetings beforehand, every single detail was scrutinized. Everything had to be absolutely perfect otherwise they would fail. As they planned their numbers rapidly increased, and when they were finally ready, there were thousands of werewolves. Most of these werewolves were not part of the Pack, but at one point or another they were but were banished for various reasons. That wasn't what was important, what was important, was their numbers.

The Second War
The Vampires claim that the Werewolves started the war, and the Werewolves claim that the Vampires started the war.
The Truce was forgotten by all but the Elders.

The Characters
As I was writing the characters out, I thought of the perfect analogy for the Vampires and Werewolves. Think of the Vampires as Privateers and the Werewolves Pirates. The Vampires are high class, and live in a manor, etc. The Werewolves are the lower class, grungy, etc.

The Vampires
These Vampires are the typical Vampire, they CANNOT go out in the sunlight, and they certainly do NOT sparkle. They absolutely need human blood to survive, but animal blood can be used in absolute desperation. They are natural hunters, with super strength and senses and only the elders have extra abilities, all of them coming with age.

- The Elders
I'm looking for two or three Elders to be roleplayed. They will be the voice of reason for the Vampires, only a few of them are still against the war with the Werewolves. Naturally they will be the oldest Vampires in this roleplay. The Elders have a very strong hold over the Coven Vampires, because traditionally the Elders have the final say when it comes to everything. All the Elders have Telepathy and Telekinesis, but only some have elemental powers.

- The Coven
I'm looking for six or seven Coven Vampires to be roleplayed. The Coven Vampires are all future Elders. There are rules for them to follow, and if they are broken, the Vampire is banished. The Coven Vampires are trained by the Elders to become better Vampires. They are trained to become better hunters, and they are basically brainwashed to believe that the Elders are all but divine.

- The Banished
I'm looking for four or five Banished Vampires to be roleplayed. The Banished were once Coven Vampires but were banished for some reason or another. They have no allegiance to the Coven nor the Elders. The Werewolves know this and try their best to use the Banished Vampires for their advantage in the war.

The Werewolves
The Werewolves are typical Hollywood Werewolves. They turn to wolves during the full moon, when they could turn on their closest friends and never know the difference. They thrive on violence. Weather they are in human or wolf form, they can hear each others thoughts, which was developed over the years a very good skill to have when hunting. All Werewolves have heightened senses and strength, but they lose some of their common sense when they are in wolf form and their senses and strength are slightly weakened when they are in human form.

- The Alphas
I'm looking for two or three Alphas to be roleplayed. The Alphas run the Pack. There is a hierarchy and the Alphas are at the top. What they say is absolutely final. All the Alphas have nothing against the war, since Werewolves are inclined towards violence. They are not always the eldest Werewolves, since Werewolves can challenge the Alphas for their spots.

I'm looking for six or seven Pack Werewolves to be roleplayed. The Pack Werewolves are under the control of the Alphas. There is only one rule that the Pack Werewolves absolutely must follow, the Alphas have final word.

I'm looking for four or five Outsiders to be roleplayed. The Outsiders were banished from the Pack. The only Werewolves that deserve a banishment are those that had connections, any other Werewolf that disobeys orders are killed on the spot.
