She wrinkled her nose at the boxes at their feet, some dusty and dirty from being in the garage for too long. At least she didn't have to look in them--they had taken the lights out last year, so there was no way they could be in those boxes. Pulling out a box of trowels, Char wondered just how long she had to wait till Alex left the kitchen.
Hopefully not too long.
Hearing her sister's question, she turned to face Ramona and spotted the lights in her hands. "There they are." The rest couldn't be too far from that spot, then. After they finished untangling, she could head to the kitchen and eat something. Anything. Just as long as it was food.
As she walked to her sister, Char raised an eyebrow and answered, "You looked like you had something to say."
While it was possible she read her sister wrong, the chances weren't that high--Ramona nearly always had something to say.
It was just a matter of coercing it out of her. Picking up a strand of multi-coloured lights, Char set to work untangling it herself. Seeing that the tiger was still reluctant to speak, she added somewhat impatiently, "Friend troubles?"
