Many, many years ago there once lived a beautiful Queen. While at her spinning wheel one evening she pricked her finger. She moved to the window, opening the stained glass and allowing the cool air to brush across her hand. And from her pricked finger fell a drop of blood down into the snowy land below. The Queen sighed. How she wished for a daughter that resembled that spot – a daughter with snow-white skin, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as night.

Soon after the beautiful Queen fell pregnant and gave birth to the daughter of her dreams, a gorgeous girl with snow-white skin, blood-red lips, and tousled black hair as dark as night. And the Queen loved that daughter, bestowing the name Snow White and great happiness upon her. Whenever that daughter would go outside the birds would sing and the animals would come near, unafraid of the beautiful young princess.

Years later that beautiful Queen died and the King re-married another beautiful Queen. But this Queen was full of vein. Every morning she would look into her magic mirror and ask it:

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is fairest of them all?”

To which the mirror would reply, “You, my Queen, are fairest of all.”

But as the Queen grew older, so did the Princess. And grow she did, that gorgeous daughter, into a seven year old girl much more beautiful than the Queen. One morning that Queen asked her mirror her daily question.

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is fairest of them all?”

And on that day the mirror’s response changed – that change would change so many things.

“Queen, you are full fair, ‘tis true, but Snow White is fairer than you.”

Enraged, the Queen began to hate her step-daughter and devised many schemes to dispose of her. Upon hearing of her step-mother’s devilish plots, Snow White fled into the dark forest, never to be heard from again. It was believed that she perished in that forest, but few realized the potential of that Princess and how the earth itself would bend to protect her. That girl took refuge among twelve dwarfs and has over the years learned to defend herself. But the Queen didn’t know that. In fact, the Queen didn’t know her step-daughter was alive.

Eleven years later, the King has died and the Queen has taken over the throne. Since the year of her step-daughter’s vanishing, she has conquered many kingdoms by the use of dark magic and horrible reign. For the first time since Snow White’s disappearance, she returned to her mirror and asked him the fated question.

“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?”

“You are the fairest,” he replied, “but there is another destined to surpass you. Consume her heart and you shall rule. Forever.”

And then the Queen knew that Snow White was still alive and she would stop at nothing to destroy her.

♦The Huntsman ♦
The Huntsman is originally on the side of the Queen. After hearing the response from the Mirror, the Queen sends him into the forest to capture Snow White and bring her back into the city. The Huntsman isn’t told who the girl is or why he is supposed to be trying to capture her. After meeting Snow White, he turns over to her side to help her fight for the greater good. He will be included in the love triangle between the Prince and Snow White, though he doesn’t realize for quite a while who she actually is because she doesn’t tell him.

♦The Prince ♦
Everybody knows the Prince – he’s supposed to be the guy who discovers Snow White, kisses her, and breaks the magic spell that has caused her to “die”. The Prince is currently residing in the kingdom along with the Queen because he is soon to marry the Princess, the Queen’s actual daughter. However, upon hearing of the impending war between the Queen and a mysterious girl, he finds himself falling for Snow White. He can encounter Snow White several times during the roleplay, perhaps even visit her at times, but I don’t want him to join her side. He is a neutral character who isn’t going to get included in the war.

♦Extra♦
As for the Prince and the Huntsman, both will have romantic feelings for Snow White. However, only one will get her (obviously). Snow White will develop feelings for the Huntsman, but this might draw forth issues when the Prince declares his love for her.

The Queen keeps her youth by sucking out the youth of younger people and creatures. For example, she uses war prisoners and peasants who have not paid their taxes.

The dwarfs allow Snow White to stay in their home as long as she cleans. They are extremely protective over her and are fairly confident that she will end the reign of darkness of the Queen.

Snow White has a way with animals and nature. The beasts of the forest do seem to show aggression at first, but mellow out when they realize who she is. Because the dark forest isn’t exactly full of meadows and flowers, it is hard to see her effects, but when walking through flowering areas the flowers and plants do seem to grow and become more healthy.
