Evenon sat in his room alone for the time being. The room was brilliantly designed to Evenon's tastes. The walls were painted a navy blue, and shining designs ran through the color like streams of pure gold. Whenever the sunlight peaked through the large windows, the walls would shimmer. These had always been Evenon's colors of choice, even since he was a little boy. A prince' colors should be grand, and that's exactly what they were.
The loud ticking rang through the castle like falling rhythmic stones. The sound was so familiar, nobody seemed to care. Evenon sighed loudly, his gaze originally set on his desk promptly traveled up to the large clock hung above him on the wall. It was almost noon, and yet, he didn't feel like leaving his room.
Many moments past and the Prince had no motivation. What could he possibly do today? He eventually came to the point where he forced himself to stand, he slowly moved over to the mirror where he would look himself up and down. He wore a black coat that fell to below the knee, and a simple grey tunic, with nicely matched, well fit black pants and some black boots. Despite his favorite colors, he had always worn black, there was no avoiding what looked best on him. Though, sometimes he would where his golden studded earrings which his father had claimed to be unbefitting of a prince, but he would always ignore this, he liked them. Today happened to be the day he decided to wear these earrings, he did not want to face the king today, so he would exit out the servant's quarters. Evenon stopped himself before leaving, removing the coat and pining back his neatly trimmed hair. The prince always had his hair in his face and his long kingdom marked coat on, they were some of his most noticeable features, aside from his nearly yellow eyes of course. He wondered if the change of appearance would make him look like more of a villager than a prince, and perhaps he could have a day to himself.
Evenon walked back to where the mirror was located, looking himself over again, and forcing an extremely short smile.
Good enough for now.
He headed for the door to his room and exited swiftly, traveling downstairs and passing the servant's quarters and making his leave quickly out the door. He wiped his face and headed for town.
