Introduction
There came a time when everyone dreamed big and tried to make it big.
But sometimes plans don't go the way they should and everything collapsed.
The year was 2006, and a group of College Students formed a band with no name. They played gigs, wrote music and had fun during their College years in the campus, they got together every weekend to create a make belief world of the 'what ifs' in their time together. They were simply innocent and never saw fame to be an option, well that was until one of them stumbled upon a poster for a competition for a music contract deal. They a planned it out together and created a setlist of songs they annex to sing if they were to get themselves
all the way to the top. They packed their things and drove to the Battle of the Bands Competition in the nearest City they could get to that was listed in the website, they auditioned and eventually qualified all the way to the Finals.
Though their streak was getting higher, their hopes and dreams were nearly coming true. Well until reality struck and they fell fourth place in the competition, no talent scout approached them ever since, they all grew devastated and stated that they would do anything to get to the top.
That was when she approached.
Meeting the Devil
A seductive businesswoman approached them three two weeks prior to their defeat, they didn't play much gigs after their hopes were crushed. But that woman approached them when they were in their College Campus, she brought along a contract with the promise of fame and fortune from a recording company they never heard about. Everyone but the Guitarist agreed, they instantly signed the contract out of desperation, yet since the Guitarist was also the Songwriter, they grew aware with the consequences and didn't show signs of agreeing with the strange woman. She gave them all a cold vibe and the devious grin on her face didn't help either, but she covinced them if they signed it, their dreams would come true for she was someone that could give anyone what they wanted without even havingtm to try.
The Guitarist questioned her motives.
Then she explained everything. She told them she was the Devil, she saw them pleading to do anything just to get what they wanted, she never told them what were the terms written in the footnote, but after demonstrating to the Guitarist of her true identity, the last signature was added and their blood that they used to sign had turned to a stain onto a brown paper and they were officially marked. Part of their deal was to rename the band, 'Amaranth', after the flower that the Devil favoured the most. She told them she would return after a month and she added that their band wasn't going to be the same throughout that month she was gone. She became their Manager and within a month everything changed, even themselves.
Their Fame Begins...
When the month passed,
The band became more recognized in their campus and outside. Gig demands became
outrageous and without a word from the Devil, they began to play their own gigs in the campus and their bank accounts suddenly had money flowing in. They celebrated through Dinner and a toast in which was paused by their Manager, she gave them all a poster of which had the Singer's face in the middle and their
tour dates finalized at the bottom.
She told them their bus was arriving in the following week and their tour would begin. Their first album was released throughout the month the Devil wasn't around, they all packed and pretty soon they were in the bus traveling on the road. They experienced the change of lifestyle, their families all saw them change in personality and pretty soon everything changed, even themselves. They all grew to be someone their not, but they never noticed anything about it because of their selfishness and their new found fame was distraction their Manager hoped for.
Because in the footnote it stated that within three years since the official signing, the Devil was entitled to take their souls, maybe earlier if the Devil wanted to. Yet neither of them ever read that.
Three Years On..
After four platinum albums. Sold out concerts. Millions of dollars. Number one titles.
The Devil gathered them together after the recording of their fifth album was complete. She sat them down and explained that the tour they were about to go to was going to be their last.
Why?
Because by the end of the tour, she was going to take their souls.
In shock, they all argued against it but all failed in their attempt in doing so. But the Devil accidentally said something that caused a big mistake, she told them that the only way out was ending the contract before it expired, she didn't even notice she was mistaken because she was too busy celebrating another one of her successful contracts.
The band were all shocked and gathered together when the Devil was away in her little trips, they all had a meeting that always turned to arguments before they realized they were wasting time. They were on the bus already and gig after gig they prayed that their time wasn't growing near. It was until the Bassist complained about everything wrong withtheir life that they noticed they had changed. The Guitarist pointed out the Bassist flaws while the Singer pointed out the Drummers and so forth, they all agreed to try and return back to who they were in the beginning before they ever wanted to have the fame and fortune..
Yet it probably won't be easy after living three whole years as a flawed person the Devil purposely changed them to be.
What to do? What to do?
Meet the Band
Jason Rokehart he Lead Singer
[ played by arteech0kee ]
The Lead Singer is the Main Image of the Band.
Ever since the deal was made, the Devil granted the Singer the attention and main focus of the fans. People crave the Singer more than anyone else in the band and would occasionally be given more request of public appearance. When interviews come they ask the Singer even when it wasn't in their position to talk about songs that were written by the Guitarist.
The Lead Singer is flawed in terms of Vanity and Greed.
Rory Hartman the Guitarist
[ Female played by DarkPurpleHedgehog ]
The Guitarist is the Songwriter of the band.
When their names were signed in blood on the contract, the Guitarist became one of the best Guitarist in the world and became high demand in terms of writing songs for other bands, and when that started to happen, the Guitarist began to play for other bands and toured in three different bands in one year. But the problem was that the Guitarist became envious of the fact that the Lead Singer began to get more of the spotlight and the credit for the songs they have written for the band.
The Guitarist is flawed in terms of Envy and Pride.
Sam Quirks the Bassist
[ played by 321Rave123 ]
The Bassist is the Laziest one of the band.
Ever since the Bassist became rich and famous, everything seemed to have stopped for them. They grew too lazy to do anything for their own needs and soon just decided to go with the band and tour with the band, play in concerts and nothing more. After that they are either found idling in their own little world or doing things they wanted in the most minimal way, and because of their laziness ways, they begin to feel rather angry and useless with the fact everyone in the band has their important rules and they have to just do what their told.
The Bassist is flawed in terms of Sloth and Wrath.
Danielle Hope Haydensen the Drummer
[ Female played by LittleFox ]
The Drummer is the Sex Symbol of the band.
The bargain with the Drummer is the fact that they are one of the sexiest person in the world, and because of it people begin to crave them in ways that they will get to bed with the Drummer after going through dates with them. Tabloids love the Drummer because of all the scandals, and because of it they aren't able to be in relationships because they crave for sex and alcohol, they tend to cheat even though they love the person. Because of that problem, they began to hate themselves and want to get rid of the feeling they can never love, so they become upset and start drinking because of it or having sex with someone they feel attracted to.
The Drummer is flawed in terms of Lust and Despair.

Hailee de Ville, she had a rather devious grin curved upon her cherry lips as she scanned through the magazine article, on the front cover was the typical Jason Rokehart with his microphone at hand while the rest of the band looked like sidelines and the band no longer had their faces revealed. She had heard complaints about it before, but there was nothing more than a good scandal as well as a good screw-job in a group of peoples lives that made her shiver at her little plan, it had been three years since she allowed the band to sign their contract. They became an instant hit after a month and it seemed that everything was going the way she wanted them to, she saw the banners and the sparkles on the billboards and their names flashing through the sold out stadiums, people chanting and singing along the music.
It was a pleasure that Hailee felt after a whole days worth of changing the world around, though it cost her a whole deal of pain from the power she had to use, she ended with a group of people and their souls trapped into a contract that was sealed with their blood, and their dreams came true without them knowing that the time ticked backwards and as soon as their tour ended, their souls were taken and they would be erased with no where else to go.
Though there was always something that bothered Hailee, it was Rory, the Guitarist, the envious one who always seemed to glare at Jason whenever he was credited about having another hit reach platinum, and it was Rory who doubted Hailee before everything formed into a good play.
"How troublesome," She spoke up as she stood up and walked down the steps of the penthouse suite she personal booked for the band, that day was the day she was about to break the news, she told them to meet her there for them to know of the whereabouts of their after party because that was the last night they spent in that state and before they knew it they would be all over the country and would soon hop onto planes landing on one country to the next. Hailee found it a troublesome situation when the estimated time they would end their tour was midway through the following year, the thought of it made her grip the magazine within her human grasp as she used her other hand to fiddle with the pearl necklace around her neck that drooped low enough to be situated just above the cleavage of her breasts. Her heels slapped against the wooden stairs and onto the tiles as she reached towards the lounge area of the penthouse suite of the hotel, her devilish blue eyes eyed around the room at the four members of Amaranth.
Jason Rokehart
Rory Hartman
Danielle "Hope" Haydenson
Sam Quirks
The four members.
They were far different to when she first met them. Back then they were fragile, easy to fall under her manipulation as she saw them walk out of the competition with their heads down and their hearts shattered by the failed attempt of reaching for the top, the dreams of humans were something she loved to toy with. She was the devil after all.
"Hello my dears," Hailee smiled, she stopped just at the top of another three steps, her eyes set on each and single one of them. If anyone placed in her into a proper dark area with a spotlight, her shadow would cast something far different than the model-like figure she was, there would be horns on her head and surely dark eyes would also glisten on the ground. Her arms then crossed over her chest, her cherry lips pouted as she flicked her head to the side, the dirty blond hair waved and flowed over her shoulder as she asked, "How are you all this lovely afternoon? Are you all ready for the last night of staying at home and relaxing?"
Because they don't know what they've gotten themselves into...

He was on the walls of every fan girls walls, he was a cover boy for any magazine and he was rated as one of the Hottest Bachelors of the year - two years and he was probably going to keep at it too.
It was 2009, everything was going great for him, he became someone who everyone recognized, someone whose name was used for a chant during their concerts and someone who everyone idolized. He sang, he spoke, he posed. That was the lifestyle of someone with enough money to do whatever the hell he wanted, but he didn't use it for plastic surgery - the one thing he was against with out of everything - instead, he spent it on products that enhanced hi appearance as well as a make up artist and someone who did his hair each time he walked out of the shower.
Jason Rokehart.
The Lead Singer of Amaranth and the one guy who everyone seemed to envy.
Attention and Physical Beauty became his top priority when he began to earn the millions he thought he deserved after singing and practicing non-stop, his life flowed with money which was perfectly well-hidden that soon developed to greediness when he was asked if they could borrow a few dollars, he was selfish and always stopped on the spot when he sees people with cameras thinking they would take his picture. Which they did.
But that wasn't the case.
Lately, tabloids have been on him about scandals of having a few girls attempting to commit suicide because he told everyone at a concert that there was no plans of him ever settling down and getting married. But the main one was his feud with his fellow band mate, Rory, well supposed feud that is. Jason never had anything against Rory when they first began the band, all of them were equally close, especially he and fellow male band mate, Sam, but lately everything fell to hell when everyone decided that they could grow their own egos at the same level as his. He became quite obnoxious and oblivious with things after that, and the tabloids soon printed that he had a big dislike towards Hope and Same because there was some sort of name calling happening backstage.
Yet Jason never commented or admitted anything to be true.
He even asked Hailee de Ville to back him up whenever he needed it.
Arriving at the hotel, the elevator was empty and he was on his own after making sure no one was around, the elevator doors slid to a shut and there was his reflection. Jason smiled at himself as he brushed his fingers through his black hair and looked as though he was posing for the camera, his brown eyes scanned his figure, but he's never told anyone how much he wanted to change himself because in reality, he saw a monster staring back at him in the reflection. The doors dinged and he walked out, the suite was right behind the door and he entered, no one but his fellow band mates were there, his head lowered and a sigh escaped his lips as he situated himself on the couch awaiting for Hailee to bring the news.

She'd gotten a bad reputation of being the one rocking out the parties on a nightly basis. Generally stumbling drunk from the doors of whichever bar she was visiting for the night, and usually hanging on the arms of yet another man. Tabloids were incessantly running stories about her scandalous and shameless acts with photos covering different pages showing her and her random flings. Despite what those rags said, however, it wasn't exactly something Hope found herself proud of. Every time she saw a new front page article, another ping of regret echoed through her mind and heart. Three relationships, all of which she'd wanted to progress past the 'dating' phase, were destroyed by her apparent inability to control herself.
Currently, Hope found herself sitting on the couch in the penthouse, reserved specifically for the bad, a copy of her newest front page scandal on the local tabloid sitting next to her and a letter from her brother in her had. The letter had struck a chord and brought out the regret and guilt all over again. She knew her brother was disappointed in the way she'd been acting. He'd been trying to get her to 'see the light' for almost two years now. She'd always known and seen what he'd been talking about though never quite figured out how to stop the downward spiral that she'd been on.
With a sigh, she picked up her drink--her favorite tool for ending her depressive and self-hating line of thoughts, Jack and Coke--and took a long drink, holding on tightly to her brother's letter. Placing it back on the glass table, she leaned back and reread the letter, pulling her cellphone from her pocket as she did. She needed to hear the familiar voice. Though, she found herself interrupted as their manager--Hope couldn't help but spite the woman who's given her the opportunity to change in the directions that she had--approached with her question.
Hope forced a smile to hide her angst and nodded, "Ready I can be, I suppose."

However, this was just a ploy to hide that he was actually thinking. He was thinking of all the times, before the band meet their manager, when he and the rest of them would mess about on the college campus. Almost without a care in the world. He missed the times of microwave ramen and order-in italian, watching old monster movies and joking about how "You could totally see the strings!"
His foot shifted, gently knocking on the metal table beside the chair. He did it again on purpose.
Now there were rules. Sam had to follow all these rules, too. A long list of laws set up by the Devil, herself, including early wake-up and photo shoots. Signing autographs and hanging out with those crazed girls and guys who were "lucky" enough to get backstage. All the girls fawning over him and Jason, and guys always trying to pick up Hope and Rory. He hated it. Sure, he liked the unlimited cash. That meant he could just sit around and pay someone to deal with taxes and bills, meaning he could just sit there and play games or stare at the ceiling, trying to escape into his own little world where none of this was happening.
His mother. She would not be happy with him if she knew he had signed with the Devil. In fact, she would probably send him to the church to be "cleaned", then away to an insane asylum. Sam knew this like he knew the sky was blue and the grass was green, and it practically killed him every time he thought of it. He heard faintly the sound of the manager, Hope's voice replying. Somewhere deep in his inner-mind, he learned what the girls had said.
"Go away." He replied dryly, not removing his eyes from the shifting colors. "Can't we just stay? It's annoying enough with those crazy people following us with cameras...." The last part he mumbled, biting back down on the piercing and his lip.
