ABOUT NEKROPOLIS

What if man wasn't just limited to Terra?

Let's jump ahead a couple thousand years. Let's say mankind's found it's way into space and let's even go further to say we aren't alone. What if I said the things you conjured up with that thing you called an imagination was actually real?

Enter Nekropolis.

Mankind finally reaches FTL travel only to discover we're the last to the race. Instead of finding little green men we found planets just like earth with life just like ours except.. Not quite.

Elves and Goblins, Orcs and Trolls, magical creatures from folklore passed down throughout mankind turned out to be more than ideas. After all, where'd the idea come from to begin with?

Skip ahead to 3014.

Planets are unstable to live on, years of sudden pollution and planet harvesting have left everyone more or less homeless in the Lucian Solar System. Asteroid belts chained together using mixtures of advanced science and magic technology are home to many denizens and it is here we find the Nekropolis, a cesspool of crime and filth, just barely held together. If it weren't for the governments and crime syndicates based here, it'd fall apart almost immediately. Imagine the dirtiest and most crowded city on Terra, and you'd have an inkling of Nekropolis.

Racism and Regulation run rampant on this broken asteroid belt, and many struggle to find a place. Will you find yours or be cast off into the void of Lucian?

ASTEROIDS

Each section of the asteroid belt is named, and serves a function.

The asteroids are aligned in a straight line, starting from the smallest, Cenus, to the largest, Remulus.

Cenus-Alus-Ronus-Calcus-1-Calcus-2-Remulon-Remulus

The size order of the asteroids is as follows:
Ronus-Cenus-Calcus-1-Calcus-2-Alus-Remulon-Remulus
Ronus is roughly the size of Pluto; Remulus is roughly the size of Terra.

ASTEROID DESCRIPTIONS
Cenus:
Cenus is the second smallest rock, and the business side of the belt; where mobsters and monsters meet. SIZE:2

Alus:
Alus is the destination center of Nekropolis, where new transport ships (And players) arrive to start their new life or personal hell. Teleporters to each part of the belt lie here for free usage among city goers.

Ronus:
Ronus is the smallest rock, mostly used for farming and creating artificial food. Manufacturing is also performed here. Factories of artificial making exist here, where most of the economy stars.

Calcus-1:
Calcus-1 is the residential district of the rich, where those who can afford it live a safe life of luxury.

Calcus-2:
Calcus-2 is the residential district of the not-so-rich-and-famous. Slums, broken houses, destroyed terraces.. You get the idea. Most people live here since Calcus-1 is so difficult to live on.

Remulon:
Remulon is home to Nek's biggest crime syndicate, one of 3; The Trimon Church. And just like any church, it's ran by corruption and money. Remulon's surface is predominantly owned by TTC, with a smaller section marked as freeland.



Finally, the last asteroid Remulus.
Remulus is a wasteland asteroid roughly the size of Terra, (Obviously not the same shape. It's an asteroid, not a planet.) Once an eon ago, Remulus used to be the site of a commemorative center where every race would meet to discuss politics and inter space peace. During this era of peace and lax, Remulus was quite the little hub across the Galaxy. The whole of Nekropolis was in fact.

THE FALL OF REMULUS

Then they attacked. Hailing from a dark and uncharted sector of the Lucian Solar System; The Argloids. The Argloids were a terrifying race of sentient war machines, hellbent on galaxy destruction. It took the combined efforts of every major race to destroy them only to end it in the loss of Remulus' dome. The biodome surrounding the rock and keeping it safe from the vacuum of space was partially destroyed, leaving the rock a sad and empty shell of itself. Some say you can still hear the screaming on it of the millions who perished. Originally, the governing bodies that be designated it unsafe to live on and enforced strict policy to keep people out, but since then have given up; allowing any and all who want to attempt survival to live here.

CRIME AND SIN

Nekropolis is ran by 4 bodies. A government ran by a board of individuals, The Trimon Church, Sinulus, and Rumanji.

• The Trimon Church
  The largest of the 3 syndicates, owning roughly half the belt itself. TTC started just after the end of the Argloid war, helping many of the victims who’s lives were ravaged. What started as a peaceful attempt to assist the poor turned into a ring of drug smugglers and kidnappers. TTC is ran by Arthur Trimon; an Elf who looks down on the other species. His father started the Church and passed it down to him. Many of it’s more scrutinized activities are his doing.
• Sinulus
  Sinulus is a gang that stalks the streets of Calcus-2, offering protection for a big price. They’re mostly comprised of thugs and underlings, usually hired by the bigger corporations.
• Rumanji
  Founded promptly before the Argloid war, Rumanji was formed by scientists and arch mages who wanted to make peace with the sentient war machines. Being ignored by mostly everyone else, Rumanji is the weakest and least powerful group. Though don’t let that fool you; it’s rumored some of the most powerful archmages are members of this almost cult like group.
