Introduction
Storyline growing and changing.
Two hunters meet as they hunt a fairy whose power seems to be growing. Both are puzzled as to how the fairy could be doing such a thing. They have to work together to fight the fairy and the demons that will kill them just to get to the power within the fairy.

Fairy:
Rhyannon, "Fairy Queen"
Appearing to be human, she has long brown hair that reaches past her waist in waves. Her eyes are wide and child like and her voice sounds like bells. Her true form denotes a more evil intention, her hair is jet black and her eyes shine red, her face contorted into a monster's, but rarely is that side of her seen. She is smaller than the average human but not so much that it seems suspicious, she just always seems young.
When interacting with humans, whether to get near them or to strike up deals, she is polite and alluring. But, when her true nature comes out she is soulless, willing to kill anyone or anything that stands in her way. With each kill she grows stronger and her mercy that once stood so high in her mind fades.
She used to be a good queen, as her name suggests, (it means great queen, pure maiden) and she kept a tight reign on the fairies. She followed the rules that had been passed down to her and she did her job well, she enjoyed it. But then two of her children were stolen and killed. It broke her. Long had she known that killing would give her power, but she had forbade herself from killing because it could jeopardize the other fairies. Now she had a cause for vengeance and a need for power. She's been killing to steal the souls of humans, so that she could power herself. Demons took her children and she's about to declare war on them. They're trying to stop her before she becomes too powerful for them, before she can't be stopped.
Demon:
Eblis, Middle man demon, commander of a small group of about 100 demons
He is tall with light blond hair that falls across his forehead. He looks to be only twenty and he is a gentleman in every situation, even ones of pressing importance. He is laid back and comfortable with where he is, feeling no need to climb higher. His superior, Azazel, has commanded him to take the Fairy queen alive if possible. He, of course, smiled and nodded and disappeared to do his job. The demons under him are often scrambling to get into his position, although he hears and sees everything they do, whether through his own eyes or the eyes of his true followers. His demeanor is a bit of a front for an intelligent, quite man who lies inside of him. He can fake sympathy quite well but he lost his humanity years ago.
Research:
Salt
The practice of putting down an enclosing ring of salt (or salting the doors and windows of a room) for protection lies in the lore that a vampire or demon cannot cross the line without counting each grain. The impossibility of this task thus prevents the demon from crossing the threshold/line, and thus a thicker line is used where the threat is greater.
In vampire lore, it is not required to be salt - it can be any form of grain (rice, millet, etc).
According to Christian demonology, demons and the Devil in particular hate salt. Salt is used as a talisman against evil (eg. rock salt worn as an amulet), preemptive defensive magic, to dispel enchantment, and is used in a variety of spells both ancient and modern.
The popularity of salt could be related to the fact that salt is a natural preservative and antiseptic that has long been used as a purifying agent in folk magic. In some Christian rituals of baptism, especially in Catholicism, salt is put on the lips of the child during the ceremony of the baptism as a symbol of wisdom. The dislike for bread can be explained because it represents the body of Jesus for Christians and is transubstantiated into his flesh during the Mass.
Salt's power may be attributed to its purity.
Devil's Trap
http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.p ... 8symbol%29
The devil’s trap is a mystical symbol used to immobilize and control demons. It is similar to a circle of salt but more powerful and persistent as it is usually etched or painted in place, and can't simply be brushed or blown away. If a demon walks inside the outer circle of a devil's trap, it cannot physically leave it, and is trapped. Devil's traps also inhibit the use of some demonic powers. Devil's traps have been used not only to detain a demon, but are also drawn at entrances as a deterrent to prevent access to a building, room, or container. The devil’s traps seen in Supernatural all originate from The Lesser Key of Solomon, which is a grimoire, or magical text, written in the 17th century. It contains rituals and spells for invoking and controlling both demons and angels.

CLEANSING
Rowan Moonstone 05-28-89
When I cleanse a dwelling place, first I burn a good cleansing incense, like frankincense or sandalwood in the home while I prepare for the rest of the ritual. You should have in addition to the incense, a candle, a bowl of salt water and a bowl of herbs. I particularly like to use rose buds for love, lavender for preservation, rosemary for protection, and any other sweet smelling ones that appeal to you personally. If you can get them home grown, so much the better. You should proceed around the house, widdershins (counter clock wise) and cleanse the area with the salt water. Be sure to get each corner, window, door, drain, etc. Simply sprinkle a little salt water on each and ask that any evil or disruptive influences leave the place. When this is finished, proceed around the house deosil( clockwise) sprinkling the blessing herbs and invoke whatever deities or properties you wish on the home, such as peace prosperity, tranquility, etc. In the past, I have used 3 candles on the central altar. Blue, symbolizing tranquility, green for healing and prosperity, and purple for protection. Others might be pink for love, or brown for hearth and home. You and anyone who is to share the home with you should share food and drink, and don't forget to leave a little of the food and drink to take outside and return to the Earth that which has been given.
Blessed Be. Rowan

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 1 authors
Setting
0.00 INK
He looked to be only twenty, his eyes were framed with dark eye brows and darker circles beneath them. He was snoring quietly, covered with a blanket that barely fit over his feet. From the way he was bent on the couch, he had to of been six and a half feet, easy. On his head was a beanie, but it couldn't contain the bright blonde hair that stuck out at every place it could. He shifted when Rachel moved to the table, turning to face the other side of the couch. When he turned his back was exposed, a long sleeve dark navy shirt remaining the only thing between him and the cold fan. He adjusted the blanket with a grunt and promptly went back to sleep.
Rachel didn't pay him any attention as she stared at the map, sighing. The highways and back roads seemed to fade into one giant blurry picture that she couldn't make out the longer she stared. With a blink she refocused and put her finger on the spot she had circled. Fairy. It'd taken her weeks to get her contacts in Washington state to get back to her on what was causing the murders. She thought it was a witch, and so did quite a few other hunters but her brother had called to tell her he'd gotten word that it was a fairy. He said one of his contacts had run into it, not even hunting it, and almost died because of the "tiny child" as he had called her. Now she needed to plan.
She knew she couldn't kill the fairy, only banish it back to where it came, but she ad to find it either way. No one knew why the fairy was killing--there wasn't any gain in it. She stood up and stretched, staring at the devil's trap on the ceiling. She couldn't help but be tired. This was her sixth case in three weeks and she'd barely slept. But hunter after hunter kept coming to her for help, like all of them suddenly had forgotten how to do their jobs. The one on the couch had once ripped a vampire's head off with his bare hands and now he can't even hunt down a djinn. Rachel shook her head at the thought and looked over at the sleeping form on her couch. She didn't have time to deal with a djinn that had only taken one person so far. The fairy had to have already killed at least six people and there was no sign of it stopping.
With a bit of resignation, she moved the books off the chair and sat down, grabbing the bottle of water she always had with her and messing with her bangs before taking a sip. She'd need to find a spell. It seemed the fairy had been killing using some sort of sword-like staff. Her brother's contact said he'd seen it when he was running from her. Nothing like a fairy with a sword. She didn't know if there was any way to contain a fairy, like a devil's trap, but there had to be some way. Another sigh. She stood up and grabbed up laptop, placing it into her backpack. She slung that over her back and picked up one of the duffle bags on the chair. With that she left the house and got into her car, heading for Washington.

I am sorry its been a few days, I was out of town and all my time was taken up. I will continue with my development process and if you'd like, we can begin writing at your leisure. :)

Yes, okay. So I've been poking around the internet and I think the best thing to do would be to take a name and make up a rank, a job, a something because no lore is suited for what we what to use the demons for, so I'll keep working on this.
And don't think I'm rushing you or being impatient, I just want to get as much research done now so that we can start roleplaying as soon as we're both able.

Re: Non Timebo Mala
Also, I've done my own personal research on demons in the hopes that I would write my own book concerning demons and angels. I'm familiar with the Key of Solomon and I think we can create our own demon from that. I agree that we should make the demon a middle man, taking orders from the Boss be it Crowley, Lucifer, or whomever, and then possibly going beyond this first plot into a new one.
I may not be able to submit my character until sometime tomorrow afternoon. I have quite a bit of research to do, inspiration to find, and cosplay to finish before the convention this coming weekend.
A quick question, did you have a skeletal idea for your character? I believe mine will be a man, much like Dean as far as being fundamentally good, no matter what. His past will be much different from the Winchesters. I'm even playing with the idea that he's kind of new to the trade? And knowing a little bit about yours will make it easy to figure out how they could have met in the past.
Re: Non Timebo Mala
Should we pull in some higher ranking demons... say, Crowley before he was king of hell? Or we could check a few of the names (Key of Solomon, 72 demons) and see what we could dig up there. I'm thinking it'd be best to not get very high, maybe a middle man, but it could easily lead to a subplot with a higher demon or something. I wouldn't mind this continuing past this one hunt.
I'm going to be submitting my character soon, is there anything you want me to collaborate with you on, like an idea that you think would just be swell for the two of us to add in, perhaps how the characters know one another.
