Bern isn't scared of much because of her knowledge of Defense Against the Dark Arts, she knows how to fight or defeat most things. Plus she is always trying to expand her knowledge. That being said her biggest fear is the unknown because she has no idea how to defeat what she doesn't know. Hence the reason the Boggart is only an undefinable shadow.

Victoire Bernadette Weasley was born to Bill and Fleur Weasley on the first year anniversary of The Battle of Hogwarts. She is the first born to the couple, followed by her sister Dominique and younger brother Louis. She grew up in the Shell Cottage with her family until she was 11 and got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Upon her arrival at the school and to the surprise of her family, Bernadette was sorted into Ravenclaw. She was the only Weasley ever to not be sorted into Gryffindor. Bern was worried that she was going to be scolded by her family at her divergence but her parents were just happy that she was at the school.
At the school she quickly found an interest in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes. She believed in always being prepared for the worst but hoped for the best. But her interests weren't only book related, Bern also joined the Ravenclaw Quidditch team in her second year and became their Seeker up through her last year. Throughout her time at Hogwarts Bern found herself in a lot of the same classes as Augustus Bane, who was the same year as her just different houses. Between their same classes and both of them being passionate about Quidditch, they had a very competitive, love hate relationship. Even through their constant teasing and bickering, Bern had a soft spot for him but when it seemed that he did not feel the same way, she accepted the affections of Teddy Lupin.
In Bernadette's third year, she took a first year Ravenclaw under her wing that she saw a lot of similarities in... Kieran Grimm. She treated the young girl as a sister and looked out for her while she was at Hogwarts because she knew Kieran's parents were killed by Death Eaters, and her guardian was her older brother. Bern only knew that Kieran's brother was such a significant amount older than her, that he had already graduated and was an Auror. So she took it upon herself to look out for the young Ravenclaw while they were in school together. Also while she was at Hogwarts, Berny continued to date Teddy. That was until after he graduated. The pair tried to stay together, he was even there to send her off to Hogwarts at Kings Cross. But once she was at school she realized that she didn't not feel as strongly for him as she thought, and sent Teddy an owl apologizing and ending what they had. Bernadette graduated in the top percentile of her class at Hogwarts, having a particularly high knowledge base in the Defense Against the Dark Arts. Although she thought about going on to becoming an Auror or maybe even professionally playing Quidditch for awhile, she ultimately decided against he because she wanted to teach. She was one of the youngest Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers Hogwarts has ever had, and even during her first year there she taught her cousin Hugo for his last year at the school.
When she was 22 and The Unmentionables were becoming a stronger threat and more well known, they killed her parents. It was only a matter of time with them targeting off Harry Potter, Ginny and everyone else that stood with him in the Battle of Hogwarts. She assumed it was strategic to pick off those who has fought in a war before, hoping it'd give The Unmentionables the upper hand. Terrified for her siblings, Bern intended to send Dominique and Louis away into hiding to protect them, assuming they would come for the descendants of the infamous wizarding families. And to her misfortune she was right... She heard of a massacre in Hogsmeade where she knew Louis to be at the time. His body was never found, and she was left to assume her brother was dead. As easily as it would have been for Bern to give up, she decided to continue teaching and prepare the students at Hogwarts with advanced magic well beyond their years in the hopes that they can defend themselves and their families from the growing threat of these Unmentionables.
